Authors Note: I'm not sure how long Ginko's story is going to go on for. It depends on the outcome of the next few chapters of the manga and if I want to continue if a certain event happens.

Everyone has their stance on hero society. Their morals. Their way of viewing things. Most of their views are flawed and skewed by the false narratives televised for the public eye, and when the cameras turn off and no one's looking- that's when the real monsters start to show.

Footsteps could be heard on a hardwood floor in an almost empty manor house, the patter of the socked appendages making small thuds as they hit the ground. "Mommy?" A small girl's voice rang out in the empty husk that was her home. The girl, with silver bangs hanging in her golden eyes, opens the door to her mother's study- the scent of pinewood hitting her nose. Odd. Yeah, her parents were busy pro-heroes but they should have been home by now. Maybe she won't mind if I just take a pencil... The small girl thought as she reached the desk, climbing on the chair to reach the desk, as her short stature was much below where she needed to see while on the ground. When she looked at the desk- her eyes hit a paper.

That was the day I accidentally stumbled across my parent's true identities... The true people were under the mask of lies they told. You see- my mother had committed several felonies; from hacking into the government to robbing banks or even attempted murder, all masked of course. My father was just a straight-up serial murderer working for a corrupted branch of the Yakuza. It was then that I learned the world isn't black and white. It's grey. Different shades of grey, but still just... Grey. There is no good and evil- just humanity.

"How long did you know?! When were you going to tell us that your parents are bad people?!" Shōyō snapped at his shorter friend- his red eyes gazing into Ginko's golden ones.

"I-I've known for years! There was nothing I could do to stop them Taiyōki-Kun!" The girl mumbled, trying to hide behind her bangs. Her mother had been arrested the previous night after having murdered three pro-heroes alongside her father; him escaping and fleeing into the night.

The orange-haired boy punched the wall beside Ginko, setting off an explosion as he did so. "Don't give me that line of bull! You could have told someone- anyone, but because of your reckless, stupid actions my father is dead, and it's all your fault! Why didn't you tell anyone?!"

"I... I was scared..."
"Scared?!" The crimson eyed boy was furious, another explosion being set off- this time his arm also lighting on fire and burning Ginko's cheek. "You claim you want to be a hero, yet you were so scared of getting help?! You're just as bad as they were- two monsters always make a monster, Ginko." Shōyō said that last part with a growl before dropping Ginko and storming away.

Ginko sat against the wall of the school for a long time, spacing out. What had just happened..? A monster..? Was she a monster..? She barely even noticed when she stood up- her eyes gazing downward as she began her long walk back home.

Returning to the manor house that now belonged to her- and her alone- Ginko took her shoes off and began to take her homework out- hearing something shift in the kitchen and a knife floating up by instinct.

"Woah there, little one. You know me- I certainly ain't here to hurt you." A calm, cold voice responded from Ginko's kitchen- the light flickering on shortly after and revealing a man with a plague mask and unkempt black hair.

"What do you want, Torch? My parents aren't here." Ginko's voice was low, shaking, and empty.

Torch gave the girl an inquisitive look- his brilliant blue eyes glimmering with something unrecognizable. "What's wrong, Imōto? You aren't happy to see your Nii-San again? Or did something happen at school?" His voice darkened at that.

"I'm not telling you what happened or what was said. I know you- Torch. You'd kill them. Just leave me alone, and stop calling me your Imōto. We aren't even related." Ginko responded simply- sitting down as she began working on her homework.

"Fine." A sigh could be heard from the kitchen- "but when you need help and none comes, I won't be there to back you up." With that, Torch was gone with a slam of the door.

Four Years Later, Shionoshu Junior High

"Now that all of you are in your third and graduating year here, it's time we start talking about your future careers. Based on what I know of my students, I'll make the safe assumption most of you want to go down the hero track." Ginko's golden gaze fixed on her sensei as the red-headed lady spoke, her shrill voice almost burning holes into the girl's ears. It was almost effortless as the papers floated to all of the students with just a flick of her sensei's pinky finger. "Anyone in here planning for U.A?"

A hand raised in the back of the class, Ginko only noticing so when some of her classmates started turning around. In the very corner of the room in the first row of desks, was a girl with long green hair and a frog-like appearance. "I was thinking of taking the entrance exam, kero!" The girl said with a smile.

"Ahh, of course, Asui-San! You have been working hard and your grades check out! I'm sure you'll get in, you've got such a diverse quirk!" Koshiro Sensei exclaimed happily from her place in the front of the room. "Is anyone else planning to attend?"

Ginko slowly raised her hand- feeling every pair of judgemental eyes falling to her as she did so. "I plan on going to U.A. as well, sensei." Her voice was firm as she met her teacher's blue gaze, her own eyes unwavering.

"Oh- Ginko... Well, your grades do check out, but are you sure U.A's the right choice for you?" Koshiro asked her student with the calmest voice she could muster. "After all... Your lineage isn't the best for a prestigious school."

Ginko lowered her hand, her opposite one clenching as she ground her teeth together. Before she could say anything, she heard the slam of a fist on the desk and looked up- seeing Shōyō's ticked-off face. "You're still thinking of going to U.A, you damn monster?! What did I say?! Villains belong at a villain school, not a hero school." He snarled, explosions popping wildly.

"Nishihara-San, that's quite enough out of you!" Koshiro snapped at the boy, who was menacingly close to Ginko.

"I don't think they make villain schools, and even if they did that doesn't mean she belongs in one, Kero." Asui croaked out, agreeing with her teacher.

Shō glared at his teacher and classmate- "Yeah, well she hurt Tobio in 3rd grade! She tried to kill him with a metal chain!" The boy exclaimed, pointing a finger at Ginko. All of a sudden, a pair of scissors barely misses him and all eyes go to the silver-haired girl.

Ginko sat in her seat, trying to calm herself down. God, calm down- calm down... Don't hurt him- don't hurt them... Stop it! She clenched her fist more as she just got more pissed off- her head suddenly snapping up to meet his gaze as a chair comes flying at him now.

Koshiro watched as things were unfolding. The more Ginko lost control, the more students would comment- and the more Shōyō got mad, the more Ginko would lose control. She pulled out her phone and clicked the top contact. "Yeah, hi- Nezu? It's me. One of my students lost control. Yeah, please send him over."
