Chapter 46

Victory was at hand.

Sukuna was going to snap the neck of this pain in the ass sorcerer and then, it will be a blood bath. "Say goodbye, Gojo!" he snickered.

His grip tensed, he could feel the neck slowly wavering under his grasp, and yet he wasn't satisfied with this. Not just yet. Not to mention, something keep pestering his mind. The eyes on his second face kept turning back towards the boy, refusing to believe he was dead just yet. There was no heart beat, he stopped moving the moment he tried to stop him from choking his beloved teacher, and yet, why couldn't he pull his eyes away from him?

It was this that plagued his mind, it was why he wouldn't be able to enjoy and savor the kill of Satoru Gojo. Not to mention, if the boy was still alive, he would make certain he watched! "He is dead, why am I bothering to believe otherwise…" he muttered. Gojo was turning blue, and yet, he couldn't turn away from the boy that lay motionless.

Gojo can wait.

He dropped him carelessly to see for himself. The boy lay there motionless, he wasn't breathing so he must be dead. For good measures though, Sukuna kicked the corpse forcing it to turn over and on to its back.

No reaction.

He smirked though to it all, the boy was finally dead… then again, he wanted him alive to see all the people he cared about die. "Either way brat, they are going to join you in death soon enough.

Sukuna turned his back, but that was when he caught it. Out of the corner of his left demon eye, he saw something in the chest of the kid. It was like a spark, but then, the spark grew… until he heard a heart beating.

"Huh? He learned to do that?" Sukuna muttered. "Better rip it out again…" he appeared poised to do the task, his hand was ready to reach in, but it was grabbed!

Yuuji's eyes remained closed, but a new eye opened in the middle of his forehead, then the demon eyes followed. "Wait… no… this can't be!" Sukuna tried to wrench his arms away, but was unable to. Yuuji sat himself up as he effortlessly threw Sukuna back and away from the spectators.

He stood once more, yet Sukuna knew this wasn't good.

The boy became encased in white fire!

"YUUJI!" shouted his friends.

White flames spread across the body, the hole in his chest erupted with the blaze. Sukuna saw the new heart forming and then encase itself within the cavity of the chest. He was healed over, but at the same time, the boy appeared to be struggling with himself.

A wild look came over the brat, as the flames only grew on his body. His hair turned to fire, but started to grow longer. His curse marks were ablaze as his eyes bore into him.

There was a look that could make a demon sorcerer's blood run cold.

The boy suddenly leaned down oddly, baring his teeth that grew into fangs as he roared aloud towards Sukuna. His lower arms oddly arched up over his back as if they were meant to be something else... wings perhaps. "You can't control it… good!" Sukuna said as he appeared ready to counter his movements.

But then he boy vanished.

"What…"

He was blind-sided!

Sukuna was thrown across the ground, his chest torn open by claws as the white fire began to burn his flesh. He tried to heal but the flames refused to allow his ability to work. "You son of a bitch!" he shouted.

But then he came at him.

Again and again, the wild child lashed out at him, each strike ensuring he felt the pain of it all, he severed Sukuna's arms with ease and used the flame to ensure they couldn't grow back. Then a wall of white fire erupted from the earth, it sent out long trails of flame to attach where Sukuna lost his arms. He was forced to his knees as Yuuji continued to growl at him, sneering and licking his lips at the sight.

"I told you boy… you have no idea what you signed up for… you thought I was hard to deal with…" Sukuna said with a grin. He suddenly became at peace with the notion of not getting his way this time. It was worth it to see the brat lose control of himself and soon, that will turn on those he cared about.

They will still die at his hands!

Gojo stood, he regained his breath as he watched on. Yuuji wasn't himself. He was wild, unyielding and was circling Sukuna like prey. But then his sights also turned to those witnessing the battle. Snarls were erupting out of the boy as he aimed the same glare to the elders and those around him as he did to Sukuna. But then, he turned back to the sorcerer. Yuuji would slowly drag his claws across the demonic sorcerer, small cuts, and long cuts all over his body he abused him and refused to kill him right away.

"Yuuji…" Gojo whispered.

Then a greedy grin came over him, he stood at the ready, his hands poised to tear Sukuna apart when suddenly…

"STOP IT!"

Everyone froze as Yuuji did as well. His hands coming within inches of the demon sorcerer, but he stopped!

Sukuna smirked. "You can't control it, there is NO controlling it!" he snickered.

But his hands were wavering.

A low growl erupted out of Yuuji, as a look of anger soon followed.

"I said stop it…" Yuuji's voice came out once more. "I know… you are angry… I know… you were trapped a long time… but this isn't the way to end it all… you are only playing to him… listen… step back…"

The look of anger didn't vanish, but the arms lowered.

"Yuuji… Yuuji!" Gojo yelled. "Are you okay?!"

His head whipped from side to side, the growling grew, as a fight appeared to occur before his eyes. Yet, the anger, the anguish that was etched on his face. He was bracing himself oddly as the dominate arms braced his head. Gojo didn't know whose emotion it was.

"You need to calm down!" he heard Yuuji's voice come out once more. "Please… calm down…"

The look of anger slowly melted away, the arms relaxed as his focus shifted to Sukuna once more. "You want him to pay for what he did to you, to Yua and her family… I know you do. I feel the same way, and I am to decide his punishment. So I say this… When you die Sukuna… You will never know peace until you have lived the lives of all you killed ten thousand times. From birth to death, live their lives, and know suffering!"

Sukuna smirked. "You think that's going to stop me?" he teased.

"No, but it's a good start…" he said.

Yuuji approached him, his lower arms went over Sukuna's heart, the other on top of his head. The beast took command once more as a stern glare came into its eyes. It growled once before saying its first coherent word. "Purify"

The fire on Sukuna grew, but he laughed to it all. "You think that's going to work! You wasted that power for nothing! It only works if there is goodness in a soul… I HAVE NONE!" he laughed.

But then Yuuji smiled. "But you do have a soul, for it is in the cursed objects… as for the goodness in you… that's there too… despite your greedy ways. You saved Fushiguro's life once,"

No one moved, but Sukuna snickered. "You think that would be enough…" His body suddenly combusted!

It was a blinding flash of fire, but then all that remained were white embers.

A growl came out of Yuuji once more, whatever was inside of him suddenly snatched something out of the air. A small ball formed around it before it was consumed.

Sukuna was gone, but now, that angry look returned on Yuuji's face, and they were aimed at the Elders and those around them.

His fangs bared once more, his arms outstretched and poised to strike. But then once more, he came though. "That's enough!" he scolded, and turned his head away. "You listened to me before, do so again!" Yuuji pleaded. There was a look of him pulling back. "You have been harmed by the jujutsu sorcerers too, that was a thousand years ago, those who harmed you are not the ones before you. I know you don't like the elders either, but attacking them, everyone here, it won't solve anything for us."

Gojo watched in amazement as he managed to talk down his possessor. "Sensei… what's happening?" whispered Fushiguro.

He shook his head, he didn't know how to answer the question. But Yuuji began to back up a little, he swayed on his feet as his eyes closed… but the other three remained open. "He's at his limit…" Gojo whispered.

The snarling returned, whatever was inside Yuuji began to stare at the elders. In a moment of anger, he breathed fire up into the sky! Then, the blaze on his body suddenly grew, only to take form behind him. Like a protective older brother, a white fire dragon with three eyes appeared behind him. His eyes bore into the elders. "This fledgling… is under my protection…" it said in a defiant tone.

The fire dragon then turned and was consumed by Yuuji, when it vanished, the flames on his body went out, Yuuji dropped to the ground, unmoving.

"ITADORI!" Gojo shouted as he rushed to his side. He turned Yuuji over, checking his heart and making sure he was still breathing. Thankfully, he was.

"What on earth did we just see…" whispered an elder.

No one knew, but all Gojo understood was this. Yuuji Itadori is a lot stronger than he appeared to be!
