A/N: I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to title these and what to write about. PLEASE someone suggest something so I can get rid of Writer's Block before it starts. Hope you all enjoy!
The Proposal-Prinxiety
Virgil looked in the mirror in Patton's room, fussing with his black tuxedo, jumping when he noticed Patton staring behind him.
"What?" Virgil asks, spinning around to face Patton.
"My little boy is all grown up." Patton wipes pretend tears, brushing imaginary dirt off Virgil's sleeves and fixing his bow tie.
"Oh, stop I'm nervous enough!" Virgil crosses his arms and looks away from Patton.
"Why be nervous? It's just Roman." Patton smiles in a soft way that Virgil knows is supposed to make him feel better.
"No, Pat, it's not just Roman. It's my boyfriend Roman and this is the first time I've ever fully dressed up!" Virgil answers, jumping when he hears a knock at the door.
"You'll be fine." Patton reassures, jumping up to answer.
Roman stands on the other side, looking into the room.
"Hey, Padre, sorry to disturb but Logan told me Virgil would be...in here." Roman catches sight of Virgil once Patton steps aside.
"Um...hi." Virgil wants to smack himself for how lame he is, but Roman's appearance leaves him breathless.
Roman is wearing a red suit with a white tie, looking at Virgil like he's the only thing in the room.
"Hi yourself. Are you ready to go?" Roman extends his hand, Virgil slipping his hand comfortingly into Roman's.
"Don't get up to too much funny business, you two!" Patton announces before he shuts the door.
Roman leads Virgil down the hall to the red-and-white crown adorned door, opening it before opening the door to the Imagination.
"Our date is in the Imagination?" To say Virgil is surprised would be putting it lightly; he can't remember when he's been in the Imagination.
"Yeah. I figured we could have some privacy instead of watching movies or being in the common area." Roman tugs Virgil inside, closing the door behind them.
Set up is a small table with two chairs, Roman helping Virgil into his seat before sitting himself.
"So, what have you been up to today?" Roman asks as he sets out the food Patton made for them.
"Oh, you know, having an-almost panic attack about wearing this in front of you." Virgil answers, playing with his sleeves again.
"You look amazing. I don't think I mentioned that before, but it's true." Roman takes Virgil's hand in his own, squeezing it reassuringly.
"Thanks. So I'm wondering, what is so special about this date?" Virgil teases, leaning toward Roman slightly.
"Well, we've been dating for a year now and I just wanted to have a special date besides our usual ones." Roman explains, a flush to his cheeks.
"You're a sap. Though of course I knew that already. I can't believe it's been a year." Virgil smirks, his bangs falling in his eyes.
He looks up again, and Roman is nowhere to be found, until he looks down.
Roman is on one knee, a ring box with a beautiful amethyst gem in his hand.
"Virgil, when I first met you I thought for sure you were the villain out to steal everything. Well, you did steal something: you stole my heart. And yes I can be cheesy because I need to ask: Will you marry me?" Roman is looking anywhere but at Virgil as he finishes his speech.
Virgil tilts Roman's chin up, tears filling his eyes. "Yes." He answers, tugging Roman into a kiss.
There's time to tell Patton and Logan, so for now the two sit in the Imagination, watching the stars while Virgil admires his new ring with his fiance.
