Family Memories-Familial Logicality and Prinxiety

Logan woke up early in the morning, six in the morning to be exact, turning to look at Patton.

Patton was still asleep, cuddled up to a cat stuffed animal Logan had gotten him for their last anniversary.

Logan smiles, pecking Patton's forehead before standing up and pulling the covers over Patton.

He stands in the doorway, watching Patton sleep for a minute before he leaves the room.

Logan sits on the couch, looking at all of the family memories around him.

A picture of Patton and Logan's wedding, Patton in a white tux, Logan in a blue in their wedding slow dance.

Another picture sits on the side table, a picture of Logan, Patton and their adopted son, Virgil, on Virgil's Gotcha Day.

Logan smiles, picking up Virgil and Roman's prom picture, the one Virgil let Patton take after intense begging.

A picture of Roman and Virgil's wedding stands above Logan's head: Logan and Patton on the outside in matching blue tuxes, Roman and Virgil in the middle in red and purple tuxes respectively.

Logan is so caught up in the memories that he doesn't notice a presence in the doorway, jumping when the couch sinks next to him.

"Hey, you." Patton greets, handing Logan a cup of coffee while he drinks his tea.

"Hello, Dear." Logan answers, giving Patton's hand a squeeze.

"Watcha doing?" Patton asks, leaning against Logan.

"Oh, just thinking about happy memories we've had. You know: Our wedding, Virgil's prom then eventually wedding, things like that." Logan answers, looking at the pictures again.

"Pictures...Oh! That reminds me!" Patton jumps up, setting his mug on the coffee table and running from the room.

Logan shakes his head with a fond smile, taking another sip of coffee an awaiting his husband's return.

A few minutes later, Patton comes back, hands behind his back.

"What is that?" Logan asks, patting the couch cushion next to him.

"Oh, just a picture Virgil sent us of him, Roman and Thomas on Thomas' Gotcha Day." Patton explains this as if it isn't a big deal.

Logan takes the wooden frame from Patton, smiling at the familiar scene: Roman on the left, Virgil on the right, with their new grandson, Thomas, in between.

"Where should we put this?" Logan asks Patton, holding out the frame to his husband.

It's always been Patton's job to figure out the placement of photos, with Logan straightening them and making sure they're clean.

Patton scans the wall behind Logan, noticing an empty spot beside Virgil and Roman's latest anniversary picture.

(If you couldn't tell, the Sanders family are obsessed with documenting all occasions, Virgil inheriting the obsession from Patton.)

Patton points to it, hanging up the picture and watching as Logan cleans it and straightens it as per tradition.

They both stand back and look at the newest photo, happy they have another picture to add to their collection as they cuddle close.

They can't wait to see Thomas at Christmas, Patton more excited because that means, of course, more pictures.
