A/N: I'm back again! I took some time off to let my brain rest from ideas, but here I am again. Fair warning: this one-shot may be slightly angsty, so if you don't like angst, don't read it!

The Hospital-Analogical

Logan sat in a hospital waiting room, Patton and Roman, on either side of him.

Logan was getting slightly nervous; he hadn't been able to see Virgil since they arrived, and was wondering what he would see once ready.

A nurse walks up to them, placing a hand on Logan's shoulder. "Are you Logan Sanders?" Her voice is polite, though her eyes are tired.

"Yes, that would be me." Logan stands up, facing the woman.

"He's stable. Very tired, but stable. He's been asking for you for the past hour." She smiles before walking off, leaving the three men alone.

"You should go in first, Logan. He's asking for you, specifically." Patton smiles, placing a brief hand on Logan's shoulder.

Logan smiles in gratitude before walking into the hospital room.

Logan opens the door slowly as not to startle the other, looking over and noticing that Virgil is still asleep, the former sighing and running a hand through Virgil's hair.

After a few minutes of Logan playing with his hair, Virgil wakes, blinking at Logan as if he has no idea who the other is.

"Hello, Virgil. How are you feeling?" Logan makes sure to keep his voice to a whisper, not wanting to scare the other.

"My head hurts, but other than that I think I'm ok. I remember bits and pieces but not everything."

"I...I talked to my Dad." Virgil squirms under Logan's gaze, avoiding his smiles up at Logan, taking the other's hand in his.

"Virgil, what happened to land you in the hospital?" Logan asks, squeezing Virgil's hand.

"I thought that you wouldn't want to see him, considering what's been said about us." Logan's confused, blinking, and fixing his glasses.

"That's the reason I went to them. I don't care if he says anything about me, but he attacked you, Logan. And you know that I never let anyone say anything bad about you." Virgil looks up at Logan expectantly.

"Virgil, you didn't have to do that. You lived with him at that point. I say lived as in past tense meaning I don't think you live there now, correct?" Logan's shoulders are hunched as he looks at the other.

"I don't live with them anymore. But Logan, I was wondering...I've been saving up for an apartment and just got the ok to move in. I was wondering if you would move in with me. I think we're ready to take that next step." Virgil pecks the other's lips, waiting for Logan's response.

"Of course I'd want that. I think we're ready too and besides, it would give me an excuse to make sure you don't end up in the hospital again, at least without me knowing." Logan smiles, bringing his lips to the other's before the door opens.

Patton and Roman walk through, waving at the other two as they enter.

"Hey, Virge. How ya' doing?" Patton takes the chair next to Logan, looking Virgil over for injuries.

"I'm good, Pat, all things considered. I mean, I got kicked out of my parents' house but I was planning on leaving anyway." Virgil smiles at Logan, who smiles back at him.

"You had Patton so worried that he demanded I go pick up Logan and let Logan stay with us for the night in case he couldn't see you. Turns out, Logan was already on his way here when I went to pick him up." Roman chuckles, avoiding Patton's playful punch to the shoulder.

"Well, the good news out of all of this is, Virgil and I have decided to live together." Logan smiles at Patton, knowing Patton would be most excited.

"Oh, you guys, it'll be amazing for you to live together! Honestly, Roman and I always thought living together is what strengthened our relationship." Patton looks up at Roman, who nods along with Patton's statement.

"Oh and Virgil, I think I'm going to put myself as one of your emergency contacts if that is alright with you. Since we will be living together, I feel it is easier that way in case you end up in the hospital again, or something happens to me." Logan explains to the other, who smiles.

"Already done, Lo. After I was brought in, I had them change my emergency contact to all three of you. Lo being first, Patton being next and Roman being last in case neither of you answers." Virgil chuckles as the other three start bickering amongst each other.
