Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha (Rumiko Takahashi-san and Viz media do), that is all.

A/N: I've never actually written a slash pairing before, but I think this one turned out alright, despite being so short (I mean, people are people, the only major difference was I used their names a lot more, so as not to confuse which he is which). Jakotsu is the most obvious candidate for this theme day, but I don't like giving villains happy endings, so their story is more of a behind-the-scenes moment (but it's still pretty sweet). It takes place before they died the first time around.

Please enjoy (or let me know if you don't)!

DAY 22

Bankotsu/Jakotsu: A Silent Answer

Jakotsu carefully removed Bankotsu's armor, revealing the dark stain spreading across his white kosode.

"Looks like the handsome lord got in a few hits of his own," Jakotsu commented.

"He wasn't handsome after you finished with him," Bankotsu complimented his companion.

"I simply could not let him get away with hurting you, Ban, so he had to pay," Jakotsu pouted.

"Thanks. I can always trust you to look out for me, Jak."

"Anytime," he whispered.

The fire crackled merrily as Jakotsu peeled off Bankotsu's kosode and cleaned the wound. It was deep enough to require stitching, which Jakotsu did with delicate fingers. He dressed the wound and bandaged it, but left Bankotsu's kosode on the ground beside them. He smoothed his hands over the bandages, ensuring that they lay flat - but it was really just an excuse to keep touching Bankotsu. The other man did not seem to mind; he sighed as he leaned into his touch.

The others all slept, except for Renkotsu who kept watch, but he was turned away from them. With the warm firelight as their witness, Bankotsu leaned down and kissed Jakotsu, holding his face in his hands. Jakotsu did not expect this, but he had hoped for it for a long time, ever since they began traveling together. Jakotsu loved to taunt and tease the attractive men he fought, but Bankotsu was different. With Bankotsu, Jakotsu cared what the other man thought, worried over whether or not he wanted the same thing, felt the same things. With one kiss, Bankotsu answered his unspoken question.
