Elizabeth Snape sat on her bed, silent tears cascading down her face. She was thinking about her mother who had died years before.
Flashback
BANG! The front door flew open and a mirthless cackle filled the manor. Elizabeth dived off her bed and burst into her brother's room. "Charlie!" screamed Elizabeth. Charlie grabbed his younger sister by the hand and pulled her out of the room. "Stay safe," He whispered and dived out from beside the pillar yanking his wand out of his sleeve. "ITTY! BITTY! BABY! Snape!" cackled Bellatrix Lestrange. "Stupefy!" called Charlie but the witch blocked. Charlie ran and Bellatrix squealed "We aren't playing hide n' seek young Snape!" "LEAVE MY SON ALONE!" Roared Lily Snape. The witch cackled the same mirthless cackle and roared "AVADA KADAVRA!" Lily fell to the floor with a loud thud. THUD! Charlie ran out to avenge their mother but Bellatrix called "AVADA KADAVRA!" He fell to the floor next to Lily.

Elizabeth awoke to a sharp rap on the door. She dashed out of the room and looked over the banister of the stairs as her father answered the door. Severus Snape, in his long black robes, glided down the hall down the hall to answer the door. He stretched out a hand and pulled it open. "Professor!" called a voice. "Hermione..." said Severus. "What is it?" "I need a word." said Hermione. "Come in" beckoned Snape. They walked down the hall and Elizabeth listened at their muffled conversation. 5 minutes later, "Elizabeth, come down!" called Severus. "Coming Dad!" she called. She dashed down the stairs and into the living room where Hermione and her father were sat around the coffee table elf made wine in their hands. "Liz, this is Hermione, Hermione this is Elizabeth." said Severus. "Hello!" smiled Hermione. Liz waved. She sat down next to her dad and crossed her legs. "Since I have to leave for Hogwarts earlier than normal Miss Granger will be staying with you." Said Severus standing up. "I shall see you both at Hogwarts," he added.
