Danmachi: Oneshots

A/N: This series is just random ideas that come to mind and ideas that I just want to write down, by no means will this regularly be updated (Like im any good at updating ;)).

Summary: Bell Cranel is a fighter from the future, losing everything and everyone Bell has decided to come to the past, although he is happy to see everyone he can feel his will wavering as he can feel his stress and painful memories of the past haunt him.

Spirits of the past?

Bell Cranel a boy who's been through hell, a boy who's lost everything and the people he loved was now a broken man, and he kept it hidden from his comrades, although he can see his comrades alive and well it was not the same, he felt that a hole was still buried deep inside of him, a void he could not get rid of and it pained him. Sleepless nights were full of tears and sleeping nights were full of nightmares, reliving each death of his friends and comrades over and over again, although he could easily give them their memories he didn't know what the side effects would be, he didn't know if they would be replaced by the memories or if they would have no effect on them, there were to many variables. Bell could feel that people who he knew from the past stare at him almost like they can feel something is wrong, but they didn't want to approach him.

Bell couldn't afford any mistakes, because it could cause real damage to the future, although he could see a few minor changes he didn't know what effect they could have on the future.

Bell was currently lying down in the Loki Familia campsite on floor 18, experiencing one of his many sleepless nights, deciding to get up and go for a walk, he made sure to look out for anyone who might follow him, He was cautious because he was going to do a spell he had learned by chance and he knew that if it work he could finally get some peace of mind.

Ais had suddenly been awoken, she felt a tug inside of her to go someplace but she didn't know where, she decided to get dressed and see if she could follow her gut and after 20 minutes she saw Bell, he was walking alone, seeing that he was alone she was about to call out to him but the tugging inside her gut told her to follow and watch, as she was doing that she heard a rustle behind her, quickly taking out Desperate she waited until the figure showed itself, after a couple of seconds she hear a familiar voice, "easy Ais it's just me" Riveria had appeared. Sheathing the sword she asked "what are you doing here?." similarly Riveria was about to ask the same question but decided to answer Ais, "I heard a noise and saw you leaving, so I decided to follow you and from what I could see you are following Mr. Cranel." leaving it more as a statement Ais could see that Riveria wanted an answer. "I felt a tugging in my gut to look for something and when I found Bell my gut told me to follow and watch." Ais finished and Riveria just nodding in understanding, "Okay, let's follow Mr. Cranel." Ais nodded and they continued their walk.

Bell had been too focused on how and where he was going to do the spell he didn't notice the two figures following him. After a few more minutes of walking he came by a clearing with a crystal clear pond in the middle, deciding that he would do the spell here he took off his boots and walked to the middle of the pond before he began his chant.

"Dreams of the past are shared with many, ingrained within the stars of the souls of many,, protecting us, watching us, and guiding us, Now it is time, I call upon spirits of my past to guide me and give me a new light a new path for I have fallen to chaos, here me, SPIRITUUM".

When Bell finished a bright golden light shone over the lake, illuminating the night sky and blinding anyone who was near and when the light dissipated all they saw was a golden figure standing in the middle of the lake.

Ais and Riveria were nearby and heard the chant, deciding to speed up they started to walk faster and when the popped their heads over the clearing they saw Bell chanting, Riviera didn't recognize what spell it was but she knew it was a powerful one, she was captivated by it and when he finished both Ais and Riveria were Blinded by the golden light, after a few seconds the light dissipated and what they saw shocked them, there standing in the lake was an older Ais in a white nightgown, Ais wanted to rush out there but when she tried the pain in her gut would take over and keep her from moving closer.

Bell opened his eyes and saw an older Ais and once he saw her tears immediately started to come out. Slowly walking up to her and seeing that her eyes were closed he said her name

"Ais?"That got her to open her eyes and when she did she tackled Bell and kissed him.

Sleep she knew she was dead she felt regret for leaving Bell behind, she knew that her death would trigger something she knew it would hurt him yet she fell to this eternal sleep, although she was dead she could feel something grab her, and when it did she felt happy for some reason like a part of her was being whole again, where ever she was dragged to she felt warmth and suddenly she could feel her feet touch something it was wet, enjoying this feeling she suddenly felt and heard the water splashing and when it stopped she heard a word that froze her to the core. "Ais?" not knowing what to do she opened her eyes and when she did she felt happy and sadness reached her at once and didn't know what to do so on instinct she tackled and kissed him while tears were coming out of her eyes.

Bell was crying, seeing Ais in front of him, his Ais in full form made him happy, the tears that were spill out was of sadness, he couldn't protect her and for that she was killed.

Enjoying themselves in the moment, that was until they heard a voice, "Enjoying ourselves are we" when bell turned he saw a golden haired Prum along with the Loki Familia and the rest of the Hestia Familia, shocked and unable to comprehend what was going on he decided to get up while Ais was still clinging to him, but he didn't make it very far because his knees decided to give out and when they did he fell to the ground crying hysterically at seeing his old friends and comrades, Ais who was beside him decided that he needed comfort and decided to lay on the ground with him to try and comfort him.

Bells crying died down a little and when he did he finally spoke, "I failed you I failed you all, I don't know if i can continue this journey, e- everytime I see them I can only think abo-" Bell was cut of by a light slap from Ais, having a slightly shocked expression on his face he turned to her and saw her disagreeing with him.

"You got it wrong, you lived for us, that is enough for us, you are here to change the past, are here so this version of ourselves don't have to experience the horrible future we went through although it may be hell we know you can do it." Ais finished speaking and Finn started to speak up.

"Creating new memories of the past is not something to write off about, it's a gift and experiencing a past with no deaths and experiencing what could have happened without a war is something to celebrate about instead of beating yourself up. Create new memories, try different things, Live.", Bell was digesting Finn's for a moment before responding to him. "Living in the now is painful and hard, reliving the past is not fun, it just adds to the pain…." Before forming more words Riveria spoke up, "Pain is a trial we all must face if we want peace…. Bell you are too busy living in the past, the past is the past and the future is still on its way, live for the future not for the past, we will forever live in your heart." after finishing up, they started to flicker, becoming more transparent as the seconds go, seeing what was happening tears started to come out again, "Why, why is this so difficult?" Bell said to no one in particular.

Seeing what was happening to the spirits they all decided to say one more thing to give Bell hope, "Remember to live for us, commander". They said before disappearing in a ball of blue light.

Seeing them gone brought more tears to his eyes, he cried until he felt a hand over his shoulder, it was his Ais and she gave him one last kiss goodbye before disappearing in a ball of golden light.

Seeing what just transpired shocked the two that had been hiding behind the bush, after what just happen they had no words to describe it they were in shock, knowing that the Bell in front of them is from the future is shocking enough but also seeing Ais and Bell together was another, deciding that Bell needed time alone, they decided to leave kand just as they were about to leave they heard a whisper inside their head. "Protect him", having heard it they looked at each other and nodded, they would help him overcome his past and protect his secret, having walked off they started to plan for the future.
