A new Star Wars one-shot fixing the ending of The Rise of Skywalker film and further explaining certain issues in the sequel series.
In The Rise of Skywalker, well JJ Abrams tried some course-correcting following what went down in the previous film of The Last Jedi, but not to the length they could have. Not shocking given he helped create the mess.
I do at the very least give JJ Abrams credit for telling Rian Johnson, or Ruin as Aragorn II Elessar and I like to call Johnson, off when he wanted to remove Luke wearing the Jedi robes completely in TFA.
JJ Abrams went along with them for getting rid of Luke surrounded by floating rocks but refused on following along unquestionably with all the bullcrap put forth by Ruin or Crazy Kathleen Kennedy for the damage done to Luke Skywalker.
I would have preferred if JJ Abrams did all three sequel films since while maybe not have been the best at least they would have been consistent. Like how George Lucas's prequel films are not great but at least has the same person across all three films. Not TFA being Abrams' vision, Ruin and Crazy Kathy throwing everything out in The Last Jedi then ROTS is JJ trying to fix things leading to a disjointed mess.
Frankly, Disney's pandering in the sequel films towards the Rey/Kylo Ren toxic relationship, even that stupid kiss in TROS, is at the people who like to act out their twisted Twilight/Fifty Shades of Grey/ fantasies in any entertainment.
The major problem besides the massive garbage writing which ruined the films is none of these people are really Star Wars fans, they claim they are but soon as SW moves away from Rey/Kylo they will.
Moving on, before I get on with the story is for the reviewers, I don't care if using guest or singed in please quit asking me on doing requests. Unless I want requests, I'm not going to do them.
Throne room of Exegol
Palpatine standing up raises up his hands while Rey staggers to her feet as the Sith acolytes move around the woman. Sending blasts of Force lighting towards Rey who blocks it with lightsaber although it is an effort.
"You are nothing! A scavenger girl is no match for the power in me. I am all the Sith" Palpatine growls while increasing the intensity of his lighting.
Only without warning all the acolytes are picked up off by the Force with being thrown around into the various walls hard enough to kill them.
Palpatine in pure disbelief, and fear alongside Rey, in mere disbelief, turn seeing across the room is three figures. One is Luke Skywalker clearly alive is lowering his hand having used the force to effortlessly end defeat the acolytes.
Luke is in his Jedi attire only with being neatly trimmed for no beard, and the other is Anakin Skywalker in his Jedi robes as well. The third person is Mara Jade Skywalker an attractive woman having long red hair and wearing a black jumpsuit. A lightsaber hilt is attached to Mara's belt.
"Hello there," Anakin says grinning while throwing his hood back, and letting his outer robe drop.
"All of you should be dead" Palpatine replies.
"Sorry to disappoint. The Force brought me back in the flesh, perks of being created by it" Anakin says.
"You having Ben destroy the temple on Yavin Four and killing my students with having Jaake, a clone created to be everything I'm not, replace me almost worked. Only Mara found me after I got trapped on some back-planet world frozen in carbonite" Luke says, "For Jaake I killed him."
Eyes widening in realization "You… were the one who showed up to help out the Resistance. You never did die merely hid your signature from the Force. And that Force ghost on Ahch-To giving me encouragement, lifting the X-Wing… was all you Master Skywalker" Rey says in shock.
"It was, I apologize for my clone's treatment of you Rey. I wish I could have been the Luke you found on Ahch-To instead of Jaake who was designed to be a bitter old man. I look forward to training you and completing what my sister started" Luke replies warmly grinning.
Glaring at the redhead "And you were meant to kill Skywalker my assassin, I trained you ways of the force. Not for you to marry him! You shall pay for this failure Jade" Palpatine sneers.
"I just like farmboy more than the monster who ruined my life. No hard feelings" Mara snarks "Of course I have my doubts that you're even the real Palpatine and instead of a crazed clone thinking he is."
"Does not matter what you think Jade I will kill you and the rest of your pitiful Jedi. I destroyed them once I shall do so again" Palpatine says.
From a doorway hidden in the rock opens to reveal a garrison of the combat droids known as Dark Troopers emerge with rushing over to face the Jedi. Anakin using the force pulls his old lightsaber off the ground ignites it withholding, just as Luke causally ignites his green bladed lightsaber in one hand while Mara ignites her purple one.
Palpatine sends a lethal overwhelming blast of lighting towards Rey just as Anakin using the Force shoves her out of the way, and Luke with a casual swipe of his free hand brings a chunk off a wall placing it down in front of Rey for something to protect against further attacks.
"Keep out of helping if you want to live" Mara orders.
"I've had training, I beat Snoke's elite guards" Rey protests.
"When Kylo Ren mind raped you to gain information on the Starkiller Base, he left an implant of his skills so you could stay alive to birth his Heir regardless of your free will. Also, the reason for your that suddenly feelings developed on Ahch-To. Ren turned your growing feelings over Finn towards him instead" Mara says sympathetically "I truly am sorry Rey."
Further conversation is cut off as Rey stands there in shock for realizing the full extent of her being violated while the three Jedi engage in battle. Only Rey finds herself been unable to move as Luke had placed a rock carefully pinning her leg down and as her lightsaber under a rock completely, so she is forced to stay out of the fight. Only the scavenger quickly begins understanding why, she thought she was a Jedi and was trained yet is extremely far from it.
Because Anakin and Luke are fighting Palpatine, far more healed than first thought Rey realizes in horror, having produced two red lightsaber blades of his own is single handily dueling the Skywalkers. Palpatine has only been faking massive amounts of weakness to luring his enemies into a false sense of security and toying with her for the Sith's own sick amusement.
Rey watches in stunned amazement as the entire fight is happening so fast, she can scarcely comprehend their movements. The Sith and Jedi actions being an effortless blurry clash of lightsabers and parts of the floor hauled at each other. Only to be sent back using the force or chopped in half with the lightsaber blades.
Meanwhile, Mara Jade Skywalker is not hampered either as Mara using her lightsaber is slicing through the Dark Troopers like they are nothing more than target practice that is not even worth the effort. Only using the Force to either block attacks, spot openings, or move the robots around slightly for a better advantage. As the final droid left in a handful of minutes Mara flips over a blaster bolt fired by an arm canon, slices its arm, and head off in a single motion.
Just as Anakin some several feet away from the Sith user causally slices through another chunk of rock with his lightsaber and reaching out with the Force destroys two more headed his son's way into dust. Simultaneously Luke blocks Palpatine's blows, one for his chest, then one blade aimed for his head and legs with slicing off one of Palpatine's lightsabers apart in a seamless motion.
Dropping the lightsaber, the Sith Emperor blasts Luke with force light sending him sliding to the ground some feet away and using the force rapidly moves to block Anakin's furry of attacks. Blocking rapid attacks from Palpatine Anakin extending out his hand gives a powerful blast of Force energy sending him back then lifting Palpatine upwards Anakin throws him across the room.
As the Sith Lord gets up Luke Skywalker is standing in front of him once more with his green lightsaber. Force pulling his weapon to his hand Palpatine igniting his red blade again once more spars with the son of Anakin Skywalker. Blocking his blows Luke eventually starts to overpower the Sith who is growing exhausted just as Anakin tosses Luke his lightsaber who pulls it into his other gloved, metal hand.
Igniting the other blue blade Luke blocks a strike aimed for his head while simultaneously using his father's lightsaber removes both of Palpatine's hands, before fluently brings both blades up in a cross-section removes the Sith's head. After a moment Palpatine dissolves into a black mist which vanishes as the once-powerful Sith user is finally dead.
Wearily sighing Luke Skywalker deactivates both sabers attaches his green one to his belt while tossing his father's back to Anakin who catches it and does the same. Looking over as Mara reattaching her hilt to the belt Luke not bothering to move his hand, uses only his thoughts moves the rocks away from Rey freeing her, and the lightsaber which she picks up. Rey walks over just as Ben Solo having regained consciousness gets up.
Of course, he's not surprised to see his grandfather, Uncle Luke, or Aunt Mara since had felt them coming in the Force earlier. Thankfully notices Palpatine is indeed dead, and good riddance to that Hutt maggot as his father would say. Letting out a sigh, his father will always be one of his deepest regrets in murdering Han Solo.
Moving over to the rest of them Ben doesn't even bother stopping Rey from punching him right in the jaw as she glowers.
"That's for mentally mind raping me you sick freak to fall for your pathetic charms. And just because you have changed back to helping me doesn't make everything fine between us" Rey says angrily "Your hands are covered in a lot of innocent blood."
"I know I have to earn it, and I am sorry for the hurt I have caused you. I know it's not much" Ben says grimly.
"No, but it is a start" Rey replies warmly, yet cautiously.
"Good that you're willing to accept that and I'm not sure what your plans are, but I'd like to assist you in this quest. I've got damage of my own to make up for, damage my death gave me an essay cheat out of" Anakin replies guilt and pain in his voice.
"I'm not sure where I am going next either, and you are more than welcome grandfather. I would like to actually get to know the real you, not the voice in my head" Ben says.
"That's wise given you listening to that voice turned you into a cheap psychopathic Darth Vader rip off pitching four-year-old temper tantrums," Mara says mockingly, "I've seen the original Empire, needless to say, I was not impressed by this pathetic First Order ran by immature brats who are frankly not that scary."
Chuckling "Ah Aunt Mara I've missed your wit," Ben says.
Glaring "You do not get to call me aunt again until you've earned it. You burnt my home to the ground and resulted in my husband having great suffering for what your little Knights of Ren group did" Mara says coldly.
Nodding "Fair enough" Ben replies then hesitantly "Uncle Luke… if I can still call you that?"
"You may," Luke says politely.
"I am sorry for what I did upon my return once I attacked you and fled for coming back with the Knights of Ren to destroy everything. All because Palpatine controlled me into thinking you were trying to kill me your lightsaber when you merely came in to discuss the growing darkness you sensed" Ben says remorsefully.
Stretching out his hand with gently placing it on his nephew's shoulder "It's okay Ben, I forgive you" Luke says softly.
Following a moment Ben nods in acceptance while Luke removes his hand. Ben thinks over all the students he killed, and the Jedi Masters that him with the Knights of Ren for who they cut down mercilessly. Only Luke sensing his feelings speaks once more.
"You didn't kill as many of us as you think," Luke says reassuringly.
"Uncle I slew the students for the ones I didn't take, murdered the masters, and burnt the building at Yavin," Ben says in protest.
"I shall put this nicely grandson, do you think my son is a Hutt idiot that learned nothing from the mistakes of the Jedi's past?" Anakin replies defensively.
"My father's right, the Jedi Order I created was not the corrupt Republic's bodyguards who lost sight of the Force with failing due to their arrogance and stilled ways. Darth Vader destroyed the Jedi in Order 66 because of being a veteran of the Clone Wars. Nephew you on the other hand" Luke says as his wife picks up.
"Were a trained Jedi padawan. Farmboy had the experience of not just his own life through the Galactic Civil War, but others. Like Cal Kestis who was a padawan survivor of Order 66, or Ahsoka as you know walked away from the original Jedi Order having fought both wars" Mara says.
"As Darth Bane did following what the Jedi and Republic believed to be the Sith's extinction for a thousand years following the Jedi-Sith War, and the Ruusan Reformation, we went underground" Luke explains.
Glancing between the others "What was the Ruusan Reformation?" Rey inquires.
"Simply a bunch of legal bantha crap that led to the creation of the Jedi's end since they closed all other Jedi outposts, with having the temple on Coruscant be it's only one. They became the Republic's primary peacekeepers, alongside creating its no attachment rules with restricting the age limit to young children" Anakin says in disgust.
"That sounds like a cult ran by the Sith" Rey adds in similar feelings of revulsion.
"You're not wrong," Mara says.
Nodding "Even I admit, there are reasons the Jedi fell and let the Sith rise to power due to their blindness," Luke says.
"You sound like Jaake when telling me why the Jedi must end," Rey says.
"Well, the clone was used from my DNA just twisted. A part of him is me" Luke replies darkly.
"So how exactly did you make the Jedi vanish into the night?" Ben asks.
"You remember Merrin a Dathomirian Nightsister who used magick?" Luke inquires.
"Cal Kestis's wife? Yeah, she's not exactly forgettable" Ben says.
"Merrin using magick helped shield our escape. Following that with the help of Han who had begun quietly running for the Resistance, which was starting, we split up. Cal went with Merrin and their children, Ahsoka journeyed on her own path, Mara went with me for a time, then so forth" Luke explains.
"And the Jedi came together to help out the Resistance fighters up above. I saw Din Djarin helping, alongside Cara Dune. Possibly even Slave One with Boba Fett up there whose still around surprisingly" Mara says.
"Han was helping out the Resistance?" Rey asks in surprise.
"Yeah, why?" Luke replies in confusion.
Looking over "When Finn and I met Han and Chewie seemed to be back to into smuggling for people like the Hutts. Even a gang of criminals were after him" Rey explains.
"It was a cover. And Han was running from people wanting him dead throughout the galaxy ever since escaping Lady Proxima on Corellia" Luke says wistfully recalling his friend.
Scoffing "Oh please farmboy your no better. A Skywalker has a trouble magnet attached to you lot brighter than Tatooine's dual suns" Mara says.
Nodding "Yeah you have a point there. Something Rex, Obi-Wan, and Padme would frequently remind me of" Anakin adds.
"Still wife you have to admit you do get enjoyment pulling us Skywalkers out of trouble," Luke says grinning warmly.
"True" Mara replies smiling.
"So, the Jedi you helped start anew Uncle Luke has survived? Thank the Force" Ben replies in relief.
"Yes, so let go of the burden for wiping out the new Jedi Order, you didn't nephew," Luke says.
Looking over at one of the Jedi Master's "You were right when I said I need more training; I know nothing at all compared to what the three of you did today" Rey says in amazement.
"Don't let doubt take hold. Yes, you were outmatched today and the skills you got from Kylo Ren will disappear if they haven't already. However, you are open to the Force, the first step in the larger world you are part of" Luke says encouragingly
Rolling his eyes "You know still not used to times hearing my son sound like Kenobi" Anakin quips dryly.
"Still talent without training is nothing," Ben says, "I remember that being one of your favorite quotes."
"It still is, and true. Just remember Rey, the Force will be with you, always" Luke adds.
Nodding "I know" Rey replies.
Glancing over "So Mara did the Dark Troopers give you any trouble?" Luke asks in amusement.
"The same trouble the ones Moff Gideon used when you stormed his headquarters and effortlessly cut through them like a vibroblade going through Westhills butter" Mara replies grinning.
Anakin smiles proudly at his son being such an effective warrior and effortlessly handling enemy droids as he did during his time in the Clone Wars.
Looking over to Solo "One thing I'm curious of is how exactly did you the name, Ben? When I talked to Leia well, she told me Master Obi-Wan and she knew each other very briefly" Rey says.
"My parents could not settle on a name, even used Jacen or Anakin so they decided to let Uncle Luke pick who chose the alias Obi-Wan Kenobi used in honor of him" Ben explains.
"Oh," Rey says.
Glancing around "You know I spent all the years trying to find Exegol, which there is some mystery over if this is the true Sith homeworld. Others think it's Korriban who got a name change to Moraband by the Clone Wars. It would be a shame not to explore it" Luke says.
Exhaling "Some other time Skywalker, we are tired as it is and has been a long day. Plus, this is a planet filled with the dark side, I'd rather not take chances" Mara replies.
Nodding "Very true, let's get out of here and back to the Resistance base," Luke says.
The Jedi both old and new walk begin walking out with eventually meeting up some of their allies who have come down to recuse them.
Later the Resistance base of Ajan Kloss
On a small cave cliff looking out over more of the area below Rey is casually sitting there just letting her mind rest. It's been a long day since Palpatine got ended, to the celebrations for the fall of the First Order. Feeling a familiar presence in the Force nearby Rey remains relaxed. And is happy the complete extent of her feelings is coming back following Kylo Ren's blocks being removed. Especially since Master Luke Skywalker had gone inside her head, with her permission, of course, clearing any lingering traces out completely.
Rey realizes that some of her Force skills and combat have faded away already meaning she's going to need to work extra hard under Master Luke to relearn them. Well thankfully the training under Leia hasn't faded at all, but just the rather advanced skills from Ren has.
Only Rey knows she is fine with that, after all, there are no short cuts when using the Force as Master Mara Jade Skywalker and Master Ahsoka Tano explained.
"Came up here to escape?" Finn asks sitting down beside her.
"Yes. How did you know I was up here?" Rey replies.
"First I know this is where you go when wanting to be left alone, and second Cara saw you leave," Finn says.
"Oh, how are we doing for sleeping arrangements given Tantive IV got destroyed in the battle?" Rey inquires.
"Fine, a bunch of cots and bunk beds are getting put up. Others sleeping in the various ships in the hanger" Finn says.
"Good" Rey replies.
"How are you know doing with… everything?" Finn asks in concern.
"Not great but I'll live. How about you?" Rey inquires.
"I'll live" Finn replies.
Letting out a grin "Fair enough" Rey says then "Poe said you wanted to tell me something? If it's your force-sensitive I already know."
"Well, there is that… and the other thing is ever since we've met is, I believe the term as Poe told me was, I've fallen in love with you," Finn says awkwardly "I know you might not feel the same, but I wanted you to know."
Turning around slightly to face the former First Order trooper Rey leans over kissing Finn on the lips who once overcoming his surprise eagerly returns it, with moving his arms to grab her sides. Rey moves her arms up around Finn's neck as they keep passionately making out for a few moments until breaking off with looking at each other slightly breathlessly with love in their eyes.
"I've fallen in love with you too," Rey says grinning.
Smiling Finn gives her another quick peck on the lips as Rey slightly adjusts her body to lean into Finn as they casually look out over the cave.

Yeah, Anakin Skywalker returning by the Force and Luke Skywalker showing with kicking Palpatine's backside for good, is what I would have chosen over what we did get in TROS.
I had Luke kill Palpatine given Anakin already put him down once.
Decided to have Luke's Jedi Order survive in secret so it's not making Luke into a complete failure.
One of the reasons I included references to The Mandalorian show like Dark Troopers, Din Djarin, Cara, or talent without training line, is for nothing else, their season 2 finale had the Luke Skywalker we should have gotten in the ST films.
Not Jake Skywalker as the nickname the Last Jedi version of Luke we got instead, and having the clone named Jaake is a reference to that.
For all the news critics who are useless from blindly praising The Last Jedi or other crybaby fans bawling on more Skywalker infecting everything, grow up. Because without the Skywalker family, there would be no Star Wars.
I did have fun letting an actual badass character in Mara Jade call out the bullcrap involving Rey's ridiculous skills or how the First Order, including Kylo Ren, is just not threatening. Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and Tarkin by themselves are far more menacing than fifty thousand Kylo Rens.
For Cal Kestis and Merrin I liked in the Jedi Fallen Order game which I could see them as a good couple.
I will give Rian Johnson one good thing in The Last Jedi film on calling out the prequel Jedi on their valid screw-ups while as part of the main film saga. Especially compared to George Lucas's creator pet's treatment they got.
Because the fanbase recognizing the flaws is Not the same thing as being called out on screen.
In Return of the Jedi is Luke's not allowed to have an actual reaction for calling Obi-Wan out for Kenobi's, purposely or not, lies nearly caused Luke to kill his father unknowingly. Just is forced to quickly shut up and deal with it.
Or from Phantom Menace to Revenge of the Sith films the actual reasons Anakin would turn of Jedi not allowing attachments, never wanting to train him anyway from being too old when having horrible dreams of his mother's death Obi-Wan just brushes it off as homesickness, etc. for calling any of them out on it.
George Lucas had logical reasoning for fleshing out Anakin's turn in the films themselves yet used none of it.
Having a reference to Solo film with Lady Proxima is I do like the Solo film with at times even preferring it over Han Solo's background in the old Legends canon in certain areas.
Speaking of Han if they wanted to have Han Solo back to smuggling in The Force Awakens film the least, they could have done was have it be for the Resistance, not more Hutt like crime lords.
