I don't own the characters. A big shout out to all my guest reviewers who are kind to leave a review after every chapter.

P.S. A big thank you to my guest reviewer who thought that I was a talented writer.

This was written beforehand so it's a bit on the shorter side. I promise that the next chapter will be long. Enjoy.

CHAPTER FOUR

After the dinner few days back, both woman fell into the regular pattern of constantly calling and texting each other and it wasn't much of a surprise to Alex when Piper invited her over to her house for dinner and a movie on Saturday.

The following Saturday found Alex burning a hole in the carpet of her apartment as she paced around deciding on what to wear and she finally settled on a pair of black jeans with a white t-shirt and her favorite pair of black boots and her signature leather jacket. She arrived at the location that Piper had texted and she just stared at the massive building in front of her and she wondered if she would run into any other celebrities. She entered the elevator and arrived at the penthouse, where Piper lived. She took a long deep breath as she composed herself and rang the door bell. Piper smiled instantly as she saw Alex and greeted her warmly with a hug and ushered her in. Piper's house was warm and beautiful like her; the huge glass windows allowed for ample amount of light to enter and revealed a breath taking view of New York.

Alex sat on the couch while Piper appeared at her side with a huge bowl of popcorn and a bottle of red wine, a rather unique combination.

"So which movie do you want to watch Alex? Any choices?"

Alex was tempted to say any movie of her's but decided against it as it would be boring and odd for the blonde to watch a movie of her's.

They finally decide on a romantic comedy that Alex had already seen but the blonde hadn't. They settled side by side on the couch and as the movie progressed, Piper had put her head on Alex's shoulder and had pulled her in close to her. Alex couldn't think clearly for a second when it happened but slowly relaxed herself and focused on the movie playing on the screen.

"I miss this you know, being able to go on normal dates, not worrying about paparazzi following my each and every move. In fact I haven't been to an amusement park in years Alex." Piper told her pointing to both the lead actors kissing on the Ferris wheel.

"When I first started dating Larry, it was everything I ever wanted but as the time passed and I became more famous, he changed and maybe so did I. He became more and more obsessed with popularity and he left no chance to show off our relationship. And look how it ended, with me finding out that he cheated on me with my best friend on my grandmother's funeral."

"I am sorry." Alex told her softly as she pulled her close.

"I guess we both had stopped loving each other after one point of time but it did hurt when he cheated on me with Polly and it became worse when they fell in love; you know.

I lost my boyfriend and my best friend at the same time and it was terrible but I am ok now. I lost them but I found you, Alex and I am glad that I met you." The blonde told her sincerely as she looked her directly in her eyes and her face just inches near Alex's. They don't know how long they have been staring at each other before they are interrupted by loud music playing on the screen as the end credits roll.

They both snap out of their moment and Piper walks to the kitchen and announced that dinner would be ready in a few minutes.

"You cooked?" Alex asked rather surprised.

"Of course Alex, I love to cook but since I was very busy, I hardly got any time to do so and I only cook for special people." The blonde winked at her and Alex found her cheeks redden at the mention of her being special to the blonde.

Dinner consisted of spaghetti and meat balls, fresh garlic bread and lots of red wine, and the blonde was a wonderful cook too but Alex's mind still seems to be stuck on the moment before and she wondered what would have happened if they wouldn't have been interrupted.

Piper too seemed to be lost in her thoughts as she seemed less attentive than before. Realizing that it was rather late, Alex got up to leave and the blonde walked her up to the elevator. "I had a really nice time today Alex; it's not everyday I do so. Thank you; for coming today." Piper told her as she released Alex from a hug and looked directly into her eyes. In that moment, the taller girl could sense something change between them, Piper's eyes darted from her eyes to her lips as she swallowed nervously and they both leaned in for a kiss when the elevator doors opened suddenly and they were both brought back to reality.

"Good night Alex. See you soon." The blonde smiled rather longingly as Alex got into the elevator. As the elevator went down each floor, all Alex could think about was the near kiss that they almost had.

"Fuck it." Alex said loudly as she pressed the button to the penthouse again.

She rings the doorbell and Piper is genuinely surprised to see her.

"I am so sorry; I just couldn't leave without doing this." Piper looks at her rather confused and without any warning Alex pulls her in for a gentle kiss and just like that, Alex can feel fireworks in the back of her mind. Piper's lips are soft and taste indescribable. Piper doesn't move or push her away so she sucks lightly on her bottom lip and Piper releases a soft moan. And just like it began, the kiss ends abruptly.

She releases Piper and whispers a soft Good night as Piper stands frozen on the spot.

As she enters the elevator, all she can think is what just happened. "Holy shit! What the fuck did I just do?"
