Bucky's POV

No I don't own marvel but if I did I'd still write fanfic.

The italics are Bucky's thoughts :D

"Wake up, Buck!" I heard Steve shout from outside the door. He was knocking rather hard but I didn't want to get up.

"It's 5 am Steve, why do I have to be awake"

"We're going running!" Steve yelled back excitedly. Reluctantly, I got out of bed. This wasn't the first time he had woken me up to run, but I certainly hoped it would be the last. I never understood how Steve, this asthmatic little kid from Brooklyn, could be so excited to go on a run. I guess times really do change.

"Same park as last time I'm guessing?" I asked Steve as I walked out of my room.

"Nope! We're gonna go check out this new park!"

How does he have so much energy this early in the morning, I swear he's a golden retriever in disguise!

Nobody else was awake, but that wasn't exactly surprising. As soon as we walked out of the building, I realized exactly how cold it was. I looked over at Steve who didn't seem bothered by it all that much.

"Steve, why didn't you tell me it was cold"

"Sorry, Buck! I thought you would mind that much! Being the Winter Soldier and all." he seemed to stifle a giggle as he spoke. Before I could say anything in response he announced our arrival at the park.

"Look at how pretty this place is, Buck! Isn't it magical?" I looked around and was stunned by what I saw. I had seen this park before, only once and that was during the summer, but now it looked perfect. The fountains and lake had frozen over, and the trees surrounding the lake now had snow sitting delicately on the evergreen leaves. It looked straight out of a fairytale. Steve took a little notebook out of his pocket and crossed something out. He looked adorably enthusiastic as he did so, and it made me happy to see him like that. That little smile that reminded me so much of that kid from Brooklyn I so adored. Steve put away his book and without so much as a warning took off running.

"HEY! STEVE, WAIT UP!" I called after him, but he was already too far away. I tried catching up to him but decided to run at my own pace after I realized I would never reach him. A couple of minutes later I hear someone yelling from behind me,

"On your left!"

"On your left, my ass, Steve! There's no way you've gone around that 've sworn I heard him laughing as he ran off again.

I'm gonna kill this kid the second I get ahold of him

Steve and I take a couple more laps before we stop for a breather and I spot a familiar car pull up.

"Stark's here."

"I didn't know he woke up this early!" Steve commented.

"I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that," Tony said as he walked up to the bench we were sitting on. "Alright get in the car we've got a briefing and you both need to be there"
