It was a beautiful day in Ant Island. The ant colony were waiting to greet their guests.
King Flik, Queen Atta, the older Princess Dot, Prince Valian, the young princesses Flika and Richie, were waiting for their friends to come; they suddenly heard buzzing wings. It was the circus bugs.
Flika smiled as she saw her cousins Ramona and Gina going over to her and they embraced each other. Richie giggled, as she crawled iver to Shadow, who blushed, but was glad, too.
"Hey, guys!" Flik said.
"Hello, Flik!" the circus bugs said in unison.
"Long time, no see!" Atta, Dot and Valian said in unison.
"How are things going, honey? Are there any inventions you were doing?" Rosie asked.
"Still working on a bunch of more," Flik responded.
"Uncle Flik! Look, my brother's being taught!" Gina cheered, as if to let Flik see her little brother being taught by Dim, and mostly Rosie.
"Cool! Richie was also taught, too," Flik added, while Atta was teaching Richie.
Shadow was learning to walk with his six legs, but he couldn't fly, since having rhino-beetle wings. Richie also stands up, starting to walk over to him, while Shadow is doing so.
The ants and the circus troupe watched in awe, but suddenly, they spot the circus wagon approaching; it was the ringmaster P.T. Flea.
He leapt from the wagon and said,
"Hey, performers! You have performances to do!"
The circus troupe reluctantly agreed. Flik and Atta are willing to come see the show. Manny, Gypsy, Rosie, Dim, Flik and Atta asked Dot and Valian if they can babysit Flika, Gina, Richie and Shadow for them. Ramona doesn't have to be babysat, because she is older enough to perform with the troupe.
"Okay, Dot, here are the sleeping schedules," Atta told Dot as she handed her the sleep schedules for Richie and Shadow, and literally Gina, while Rosie also handed Dot that.
"Okay, Flika, you be a good girl. Be sure to stay with your sister and cousins, okay?" Flik said.
"But what about Ramona?" Flika asked in concern.
"Not to worry, Flika, my dear little niece, Ramona is old enough to perform with us, but she will be coming after our performances," Manny reassured his niece.
"Well put, Manny, dear!" Gypsy agreed as she held his hand.
"Okay, honey, me and your father are going to do some performances while Flik and Atta are watching us. Be good this whole time with Shadow and your cousins, too!" Rosie told her daughter.
Shyly but surely, Gina nodded and spoke softly,
"Okay! I think I can do that."
Dim chuckled and nuzzled her, saying,
"We'll be back after your uncle Mr. Ant and aunt Ms. Ant see our performances come to an end."
Time went on since Dot and Valian were babysitting.
"I hope Ramona is good at performing," Gina said, while playing with her little brother Shadow.
"Me, too! My parents are even watching yours and the rest of our circus family," Flika agreed as well, while she was also playing with her little sister Richie.
But suddenly, Shadow and Richie began wailing. Flika and Gina were confused at the same time; they called,
"Auntie Dot! Uncle Valian!"
Dot and Valian came in confusion, and spot the two little cousins wailing beside their older ones.
"What seems to be the problem, girls?" Dot asked.
"Our siblings are crying," Flika added.
"We are doing our best to make them happy, but it was kind of tricky," Gina said,
"I think Shadow needs something, including Richie."
Dot and Valian thought for a moment to help make Shadow and Richie happy, and now came up with an idea.
"Are you hungry? Maybe your siblings are," Valian added, and carried Richie and Shadow to the kitchen, while Dot took Flika and Gina there as well.
While Valian and Dot were feeding Richie and Shadow, the babies stopped wailing; Flika and Gina had finished up their food. They saw Dot and Valian giving Richie and Shadow pacifiers in their mouths.
A few hours later, it was getting late. The circus bugs and Ramona came to pick up Gina and Shadow.
The grownups asked Dot and Valian how their babysitting was.
"It was good!" Dot said.
"Totally. We heard Richie and Shadow crying in front of Flika and Gina, but we fed them," Valian agreed.
"Hi, Flika, lady, were you a good girl?" Atta asked.
"Yep! I was with my cousins and sister this whole time," Flika said.
"Me too! But with my brother, though," Gina agreed.
"How sweet of you!" Rosie chimed in, while she and Dim are giving their kids a hug. Flik and Atta did the same to their own kids as well.
As night approaches in the sky, Flika and Richie waved goodbye to their cousins, while Flik, Atta, Dot and Valian waved goodbye as well to the circus troupe, who were flying and riding on the wagon their boss was driving on. Then, they all headed for some bedtime.
Hopefully, Dot and Valian had babysat the kids, while Ramona is going out, though, solved the problem.
