It took a blaster shot to the lock on the doors in order for the rebels to get into the hall that Ezra and Ahsoka still lied unconscious in. Holding their breaths, Sabine and Hera dragged the two out of the hall. They shut the door after they got out, knowing that the gas was still prominent in the air.

Hours later, Ahsoka woke with a horrendous headache in the med bay. She shook her head and sat up, seeing Ezra one bed down, still unconscious. He was closer to the initial gas release point, so the effects would be a little stronger on him. Ahsoka then saw Hera sitting beside her bedside, a worried look on her face. The pilot lit up as soon as she saw her wake up.

"What- what happened?" Ahsoka rubbed her head and coughed, the remnants of the gas still scratching her throat.

"They're gone," Hera had cold stone eyes as she looked to Ahsoka, standing next to her bedside now. "Kanan and Athena. That Inquisitor took them."

Not long after that, Ahsoka could be found on the command deck, scouring every resource for information on Inquisitors once the power was restored. Something wasn't right about this whole thing. First, that Inquisitor didn't have an Imperial ship. Second, they didn't kill anyone - Inquisitors usually have no hesitation to kill anyone. Third, he only took Kanan and Athena - leaving her and Ezra in that hall - two highly sought out Rebel criminals, left there. Why only Athena and Kanan?

Ezra approached the round tactical table Ahsoka stood at, scanning her eyes at any information she could pull up about any Inquisitor she could find. The togruta turned to the boy Padawan.

"I see you are doing better," Ahsoka said.

"Kinda," Ezra had a little bit of hoarseness in his voice. "Have you gotten any leads about where Kanan and Athena are?"

She turned back to the tactical table, a small frown on her mouth, "I haven't found anything yet. I don't have much to go off of."

"He said he knew Athena's mom," Ezra said. "I remember that before passing out. Their birth-name was Dume if that helps."

"That might give us something," Ahsoka contemplated, beginning to type. She was wide eyed when she got an interesting report. Looking up criminal reports for 'Dume' produced just what she needed. "Cyla Dume, wanted enemy of the Empire…"

"It says here an Inquisitor was sent after her. Second Brother," Ezra pointed to the words on the hologram. "It says he failed his mission and she was later killed by Vader."

"Second Brother…" Ahsoka mumbled. "That might be who we're looking for." she typed some more. Another old report from the Empire popped up.

"Second Brother - defected from the Inquisitorious?" Ezra was wide-eyed. "They can do that?"

Ahsoka shook her head, "This would make sense. If he defected from the Empire, that means he wouldn't have an Imperial ship." she scrolled through the document some more, eventually finding two images of this Second Brother. One with his helmet on, the same helmet he wore during the kidnapping. The other was of his face.

He had mean eyes, blond hair, sparse freckles across his face, and was in his forties - may early fifties. Ezra recognized him immediately from Earth.

"That's the same guy we saw on Earth!" Ezra was astonished. "He saw Sabine, Kanan, and me in a restaurant on Earth. Athena said she had a feeling he was following her."

"He must have been," Ahsoka had careful eyes as she scanned over the document some more. "This may be a form of revenge. Second Brother failed to kill their mother, so now he wants to show that he is capable of killing a Dume."

"Maybe...maybe that's not it," Ezra pondered.

Ahsoka and Ezra turned to see the rest of the Ghost crew and Rex entering the command deck. Hera spoke first.

"Any luck on finding out who that Inquisitor was?"

"Second Brother. The direct subordinate of the Grand Inquisitor," Ahsoka began, looking back at the document. "He went rogue from the Empire and seems to be a freelance bounty hunter now. We found reports that he was once tasked with hunting down Cyla Dume - their mother - but failed. I suspect that he hunted down Kanan and Athena as a result. That's why he wasn't interested in me nor Ezra."

"Is that him?" Sabine pointed to the blond man. "We saw him on Earth. The guy gave me the creeps."

"Yeah, that's him," Ezra confirmed. "I guess Athena was right about him following her."

"He...kinda looks like her. Athena - both have blond hair." Rex squinted his eyes. "He's also got Kanan's nose."

"What are you saying, Rex?" Ahsoka asked.

"He knew their mother, right?" Rex said with a shrug. "Maybe the reason he couldn't kill her was because that was his wife or something. Inquisitors are pretty good about killing their targets. Unless she was a Jedi, I don't see how a civilian could avoid him, 'specially since he was ranked so high."

Ahsoka shook her head, "No, Kanan was born before the Clone Wars. His mother couldn't be a Jedi - Jedi were forbidden to have relationships or children."

"So, why couldn't that Inquisitor kill her?" Zeb asked. "I've seen them Inquisitors. They're nasty. No way a civilian could just avoid an Inquisitor."

"Also, this Inquisitor would also be about the right age to be the father of Kanan," Rex commented. "He looks about twenty years older."

"And now that Rex has mentioned it, I can kinda see the similarities," Sabine squinted at the photo. "Except, he's got dark brown- almost red eyes. That, and freckles."

"Eye colors change when someone succumbs to the Dark side," Ahsoka said. "So...maybe he is their father. I know Inquisitors aren't exactly willing to be in the Empire. I sensed in Sixth Brother when I battled him that he was once good - just corrupted by the Empire."

"After the Empire killed Kanan and Athena's mom, maybe he ran off because he couldn't stand the fact that they would kill someone he loves," Sabine suggested.

"So, is this like some weird custody battle then if he's their father?" Hera questioned. "Tracking your kids down and kidnapping them doesn't seem like the ideal family reunion."

"He's still under the Dark side, so his views of the universe may be twisted," Ahsoka commented. "Though, I didn't sense so much of the Dark side in him as I would with any other Inquisitors."

"So, now that we know who is their kidnapper, how do we find them?" Hera asked.

"I'm not sure…" Ahsoka put a hand on her chin. "I'm still not sure on what Second Brother's intentions are."

Kanan's head pounded with every heartbeat. His stomach was in knots. He felt cold. As he slowly opened his eyes, he saw that he was laying on his side. Cold metal. The ground was made out of cold metal. Whatever room he was in, it was brightly lit - making it even harder for him to begrudgingly open his eyes. He coughed, his throat still sore from the gas he remembered inhaling.

Then he felt his wrists. They were behind his back, bound together. He pulled on them and found they were attached to something. He couldn't move.

It took a couple more blinks for him to see an outline of a person in front of him. A kid with long blonde hair. Athena. She was unconscious, laying about three meters away, hands bound in cuffs attached to the wall behind her.

"Athena…"he groggily mumbled, still unsure about the situation other than the fact that it was bad.

A voice forced Kanan to turn his head.

"I didn't realize that gas would have such an affect on you and your sister."

There, on a crate a little ways away from Kanan and Athena sat a man. The man with mean eyes they had the pleasure of seeing in Wendy's back in Cleveland. He reclined a little as his back rested on the wall behind him, one leg crossed nonchalantly over the other.

Kanan managed to sit up, his hands still bound behind him in a tight pair of cuffs.

"Most of the time people wake up about an hour of inhaling that stuff," Jalo commented. "You guys have been out for at least three. I was waiting for you two to wake up, otherwise this whole thing would've been useless."

"What's your game? Where's Ezra and Ahsoka?"

"The boy and the togruta? They're back with your silly little Rebel friends," he said. "Don't worry, they should be okay. The gas wasn't toxic."

"Why did you take me and her, then?" Kanan barked. "What's your game?"

The man with blond hair rolled his eyes, seemingly annoyed. "You know I'm actually doing you a favor, right? If the Empire found your sister before me, she would be in a much worse position."

"How- how did you know she's my sister?"

"I know a lot of things, Caleb," he stated. "You should know some things too - such as why it's a lot better that I got to your sister and you before the Empire."

"I thought you were the Empire," Kanan cautiously said. "An Inquisitor."

"Used to be. Not anymore," he shrugged. "As for why you should be grateful that I found you two first - I'd suggest you'd think back to your last time in Imperial custody, Caleb. Or should I say Kanan?"

"What about it?"

"They don't take just any Jedi into custody for so long without killing them," he said. "The old saying 'Mustafar is where Jedi go to die' is true...but misleading. You don't die, just your soul does."

"What are you saying?" Kanan eyed their kidnapper. This guy was getting more confusing by the second.

"They were going to make you an Inquisitor, dumb-ass," the man rolled his eyes again. "The Mustafar system is where they make new Inquisitors. Your sister here -" he laughed as he gestured to the unconscious girl. "They've wanted her to be their newest little Inquisitor since her birth. Heck, maybe even something more! That's why your mother hid her on Earth, that wretched mud-ball of savages; all to hide her."

"You knew her-" Kanan corrected himself. "-our mother?"

The man's glare seemed to harshen. His eyes were that of a killer; dark and dangerous.

"More than you want to know."

And he left, leaving Kanan and Athena in chains. Kanan looked around and figured this was some kind of cargo hold. It looked like a ship. After a couple moments, Kanan had to blink a few times as Athena shot up- fully awake, sitting up.

The girl looked over to him, "So, this guy is kidnapping us as a favor? What is with him?"

"You were awake?" Kanan whispered. "And keep your voice down, he might hear us."

Athena nodded, speaking in a more hushed voice. "I've been awake for a while now. I was just waiting for you to wake up. I was barely able to get a glimpse of the guy through peeking - but does he seem familiar?"

Kanan nodded. "Same blond guy we saw back on Earth. The guy you said was probably following you. I guess you're a good observer."

Athena nodded her head in the direction of one of the corners in the room, "I don't know if that's a camera or not, but it might be. Do they have audio?"

Kanan sighed. "Yeah, it is. Sometimes they have audio. Sometimes they don't."

"Okay, so what do we do now?" Athena questioned.

"I don't know…" Kanan pondered. "I don't even know where he's taking us. Probably not to the Empire, that's all I know."

"Do you think he could be a relative of ours?" Athena questioned. "He knew our mother and knew that we were siblings. How else would he know that stuff?"

"He could just be bluffing about knowing our parents," Kanan said. "Maybe he was hunting you down back on Earth and…" he really couldn't come up with a way he would know about them being siblings. They didn't figure that out until they got back to the fleet.

"He also has a similar nose to you," Athena said. "and blond hair, same as me."

"Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, all I know is this guy is up to no good," Kanan grumbled as he looked at his belt. His lightsaber was gone. He looked back to Athena and was wide eyed to see frost creeping on her face, just below her left eye. "Athena...are you scared?"

"I am currently being held captive by a strange man, of whom I was suspicious of stalking me in the first place," she snarled. "Do you really think I'd be all sunshine and butterflies right now?"

"We'll figure this out and get out of here," Kanan assured. "I promise."

Strange. He didn't notice her fear until it was growing on her face - literally.
