Alice sighed pushing a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear and adjusting her glasses. Today she had to go get her school supplies, she had spent all summer working in the leaky cauldron earning the money for her books and for the school year. Sure, her parents could have bought the stuff for her, but she wanted to earn it herself. She also had nothing better to do all summer. Her only friend was on a family vacation all summer.

Alice stopped at the bar were her mother was cleaning a table. "Good morning Alice," she smiled as she saw her daughter.

"G'morning," Alice said. "I'm going to head out now."

"Have fun shopping, dear," Hannah smiled and gave Alice a quick kiss on the cheek.

Alice walked out the back door to the Alley way. It was fortunate for her that Diagon Alley was practically her back yard. She'd been able to go anywhere when she was home for the summer she pleased as long as she stayed on the Alley. She headed to Madam Malkin's fist she needed a new robe. It didn't take to long and she headed to Flourish and Blott's for her textbooks. The store was packed as usual. Tomorrow everyone would be back at school. Alice squeezed passed a gaggle of girls near the magazine racks. They were gossiping about the latest celebrity scandal. Alice ignored it, she hated gossip that and she wanted to do well in her N.E.W.T.'s this year. She grabbed a herbology book before heading into the potions section. The book she needed was just out of her reach, but she tried anyway. She stretched her body as much as she could. Her shirt rode up exposing skin.

"Let me help," A voice said from directly behind her and a long arm reached over her and pulled the book from the shelf.

"Thank you," She said turning around to come face to chest with James Potter. He ran a hand through his red hair and smiled and Alice blushed.

"You're welcome, love," James said making Alice blush harder. He was a flirt and Alice thought she would never be on the receiving end.

"E-e-excuse me," She stammered as she moved away from him. If she stayed any longer, she'd embarrass herself.

James dreaded going to shop for school supplies, but his mum told him that he should get his own stuff this year as she and his father had to work Lily, and Albus had went their separate ways. He started at Weasley Wizarding Wheezes where Fred his cousin and best friend was working. Fred had already got all his supplies for school, but he promised to go with James to get his. They then headed to the book shop. Inside Fred went to grab a defense book and a charms book for James and James headed for the potions section. Once he arrived, he saw a very pretty girl struggling to reach a book. She was on her tip toes stretched out so that her shirt began to ride up and exposed the curve of her waist into her hips. James was in awe and wondered who she was. Then he remembered he was a gentleman and should help. He took a couple long strides over to help. "Let me help," he reached up and grabbed the book she'd been reaching for. Advanced Potion Making. He deduced she was in sixth year taking NEWT level potions with Professor Slughorn.

"Thank you," she said turning around, James smiled down at her she was definitely just as good to look at from the front and any other angle he'd seen. Her long Blonde hair flowed behind her. Her eyes were a beautiful blue behind dark framed glasses.

"You're welcome, Love," He said. She blushed slightly at that. James thought it was cute. He hadn't had that affect on anyone in a longtime. Not since… that was neither here nor there.

"E-e-excuse me," she stammered and pushed past James as quickly as she could. James watched her walk away and wondered who she was.

"James there you are!" Fred said.

"Did you see the girl who was just here?" James asked.

"No sorry mate," Fred sighed. "Grab you book and let get out of here." Fred handed him the books he'd grabbed, and James grabbed the potions book he needed.
