Chapter Ten

Draco rolled over, it was another hoy and sticky night, he knew that if he was struggling his heavily pregnant wife would be feeling it more, letting out a sigh he sat up swinging his legs off the bed and with a quick glance of the clock got up and headed to the stairs,

"What are you doing up" he asked entering the living room where Hermione was sat reading the muggle fan on full blast,

"Couldn't sleep" she said as he sat beside her, relishing the cool air that hit his sweat drenched skin,

"Mm…why haven't we taken this to the bedroom?" he asked,

"You said it was too noisy" she sighed,

"Oh yeah…I've changed my mind" he smiled leaning back into the sofa, "Any more contractions?" he asked, Hermione had been having Braxton Hicks contractions over the last twenty-four hours,

"They seem to have settled" she said closing her book, Draco moved closer to Hermione and placed his hands on her bump,

"Hello little one" he smiled as he felt their baby moving, "I can't wait to meet you"

"I can't wait for this pregnancy to be over" Hermione laughed,

"But it looks so good on you" Draco smirked up at her,

"Ok then next time we will try for a winter baby" she laughed,

"Was it today the midwife was coming?" Draco sighed his hands still on her bump,

"Yeah after lunch, so I'm going for my walk after breakfast" she yawned. Hermione had started going for walks about two months back as cabin fever had begun to set in, at first she would drag Draco along with her but now she felt strong enough to go alone,

"I'll come with you" he sighed,

"You don't have to" Hermione sighed,

"I'm not leaving your side until this one arrives, with Braxton Hicks contractions, the next step is the real thing" Draco smiled, "See" he said feeling their child kick out against his hand, "This one agrees" he smiled,

"Are you sure that it isn't just kicking to say go away dad" Hermione laughed,

"Because it's a Malfoy" he smiled moving to give her a kiss, "And if its anything like you, they just can't resist my charm" he smirked, kissing her harder so she couldn't object, his hands moving to cup her face, hers moving to run her fingers through his hair. His lips moving down her jaw, "God I love you" he groaned, his on her collar bone,
