Chapter 2
Your stupid girlfriends tell you
That I'm to blame
Well - they're all used-up has-beens
Out of the game
This time I'll have the last word
You hear what I say
I tried to see it your way
It won't work today
You don't just step inside to 14 years
So hard to keep my own head, that's what I say
You know, I've been the dealer hangin' on your street
I was the dog, they all tried to beat
They stood in front of huge doors made from iron, but it actually looked like made from wood. Malfoy pushed them and they get in the manor. It was gloomy in there, but nooks were lighting by candles which wouldn't burn the house even, if there would be vacant, without sign of a single soul. Opposite the front door there was a fireplace, one of many in the mansion. Chandelier was hanging on the ceiling in its centre, and it was made from wood with eight torches. There were even two paintings, but not much clarion, because it was very dim in the hall, even though these candles in nooks. But there was one thing they both noticed just later. Time. It was that hour in night in which the moon was equally with the upper windows, so the light it was giving was dropping into the living room upstairs, in a way it was brightening mirrors, which bounced light to others. In the final result stairs ,that started in the hall and ended in the salon, were illuminated. And thanks to this Snape saw there were any. His ally, Lucius, led them through the corridor, ascending stairs and show him the living room.
It looked even better than the hall, as if the hall wasn't impressive enough. If you could stand on stairs, on your right you could see a fire in a fireplace and a mirror above it, next to the fireplace two upholstered armchairs – both green, picked with wooden armrests – and between them a small glass table, probably to put on some alcohol, two glasses and, as an exception for specific occasions, an ashtray with golden lighter. Instead, on your left you could see a great, long table for Death Eater's meetings, pushed back for now, with two lamps and some seats. Interestingly on this side there were windows and thanks to them there was even more light – not only from the fireplace, candles that were put on it and mirror reflections. And the salon chandeliers! Both of them made from crystals, wonderfully sagging from the ceiling, a next thing lightening the room, perfectly beautiful, full of lure…The floor was made from wood, walls were stone and wooden. And what is more interestingly, is this, that all that stuff was more charming in the dark with moon's and fire gloss.
-Wonderful…– Severus whispered, maybe thought aloud.
-Thank you…– His friend replied. –You are the first who said it. I mean, everyone who saw these rooms ,always considers the question of wealth – how much money we could put to make other people jealous… But I don't do it –not so often, anyway. But surely, it's not a thing I am doing right now.
-Of course. Of course, you're not. You are doing well –I mean I would do the same. Naturally, If only I had a house like yours.
-It's fine. I understand you –I don't judge you. I never did, I never would, because I know how your life was terrible.
-And still is. –he added quickly –But not at the moment…
-So you like it for now?
-This is much better, than what I had in last years, so obviously it is!
Lucius smiled. Feeling of making someone happier, gloated him joy. It's so easy. Especially, when it comes to make someone happier, who you like, you are respectful for, you feel is your friend. A person who matters to you. A person you've always trusted. A person you need…
-Sorry for how this can sound, but… Shall I call for my house elves, to bring some… wine?
Severus looked back, and caught mate's look –a look given to him since they started talking. He wanted to know, how he feels here –it was really nice, and even very desirable.. For both of them. But what's more, the look he gave him didn't express boredom –contrarily ,it expressed interest, in every way interest can be understood. And that perspicacity of it… He really felt it…
-This idea is one of the best ideas I've heard lately. –He answered truly and serious.
-I'll come back with a minute…
It was truth, after a minute he came back. He led them to the fireplace, where he sat on the armchair closer to the stairs, and his guest sat on the second one. After a while a little house elf brought them wine, from 1954, and then he put on the glass table two glasses. Severus couldn't believe his eyes. This elf was named Dobby, he knows him. God, he knows him ,but he didn't know, that he works for Lucius.
Better not to reveal this knowledge to a friend. Better not…
-Thank you. –They both said it in the same time –this amused Potions Master, because he felt, how bad it sounded. Like two girls talking, they are best friends, someone interrupted them. They both look at him and quickly at the same time. And this is why this sounded bad. Embarrassment, when it looked like they are best friends –this is what he felt. Because they should be something more. Right?
Dobby left, so they could easily talk. They didn't even notice, that elf poured them wine before, because they were looking at each other. They fascinated his time, this evening –as things go, it was their evening, no one could spoil it. No one and nothing.
-Cheers, Severus. –Lucius smiled, lifting his glass.
-Cheers, Lucius. –He didn't smile, but his eyes shined for a second. Just one second. His mate saw it, now he is amused.
They took a sip, they set away beakers and started conversation.
-Thank you, friend. –Lucius said with serious face. –You make me feel better. Being alone in –he shuddered –Noel. I am not an Christmas opponent, but I don't feel it as good as before –before him…
-I never felt them so much, but I am sorry for you, Lucius. –he said with amazing compassion in voice –You should feel them great, but you don't.. But anyway, we have to deal with it. We made a decision…
-I mean, at first I really admired him, he was my God. But now… I don't know…
-Someone else is your God?
-You are quick. –he repeated.
He looked in fire. Somebody is intelligent, and what on the earth, he (Lucius) did to spend time with him… And how on the earth, this quick-genius agreed for invitation? God bless him… He felt hot fire from the fireplace on his heart. Someone stole his heart… But who? If it was stolen years ago, by a woman who married him? Maybe someone just gave it back and let another heart thief stole it?
-Perfect… -he heard a word from a man sitting next to him. His heart skipped a beat.
-What is perfect? –he almost whispered with fear.
-Your house, this wine, this evening… -Severus curled his lips, when he saw a little exhale relief.
-There is something more perfect here… -Lucius muttered, quiet enough, so his friend didn't hear it.
Oh… If only Potions Master could tell him truth… Truth that was driving in his mind since the day he met him. Of, course it was overshadowed by Lily, but now he won't let her take him down. Not when he feels the best. Not today, today was his day. Again, he used her to get out from school, to spend an evening with next… concern? Next interest… But truly interest. It matters.
-So.. Don't you think we should meet more often?
-Oh, that's obvious. I do think so. Well, you are the one who understands my pain.
Malfoy looked at the chimney, where fire was dancing.
-Yes, that's truth. I do. Because I know the truth. –Severus looked scared at him –You aren't an evil. You are just being caring.
-The same with you. –teacher said after a minute, full of silence. –Your family loves you and you hide yourself too. Your real side.
-You mean? –Lucius moved curiously.
-You hide your truth, but you never stop going on, how you always do.
Lucius felt hesitant and intimidated, yet he felt despairing.
-Is it not good for you? –Snape felt a strange joy, not felt for a long time, yet he didn't show a sign. Someone worried about his opinion, someone felt apprehension of being rejected. But why? How he could reject a person like him? –Is it evil…? Severus…?
…Now he won't let her take him down. Not when he feels the best. Not today, today was his day…
-It's perfect. –he said with conviction, honest, sympathy and longing to Lucius in his voice.
Lucius took a sip of wine, yet they noticed that they both drank along 2 glasses of vine.
-Aren't we drunk? –Lucius asked.
-We can be.. But what I said.. I said fully consciously…
-So do I… We'll see. Could you…?
-Sure.
Severus pulled out his wand. He never used this spell –no need. He waited for his friend to look into fire. No more spells into someone eyes.. Even harmless spells hurt you, you are being tested. For someone's wish.
-Nulleborn…
He hid it with a look full of remorse. Lucius tilted his head to a friend. Severus did the same thing, so he could be ''clean'' too.
-So… Do you still think it's perfect?...
-Still… Well, for me it's even intimidating…
-Oh, do not tell lies, Severus. –Severus winced with fear - It is you, who intimidate me…
He sat down and felt so good. God, please, this evening must be perfect. Just once, just once let him be happy. Because it would be everything he wanted… Because he wouldn't be alone. Not again. And not this time.
Lucius put away his glass with wine and leant forward, where Snape was sitting. Severus had looked at him hopeless, then he looked down, with a sad look in his beautiful eyes, at the carpet on the floor. Lucius understood something at that moment. He felt very bad for him. At that moment he would do everything to make him feel better. Easily, happier. To see just once a flash of happiness in his beautiful dark, black eyes, to see a smile on his perfect, tired face. He wanted the best for him. Yet he felt sorry for him… For his very hard past, for his lost. This beautiful man deserves the best, doesn't he?
Severus was still sitting silently, staring at the floor, thinking about this how beautiful was this mansion, comparing his small, scruffy flat in Spinner's End, where his parents lived, where he lived his whole life –until nowadays. But not only Malfoy's little palace was beautiful and impressing. Its owner was not only beautiful and impressing, but also smart, interesting, lovely. And very, easily, intimidating… human… His platinum hair are just adding him more majestic design. His ocean eyes are shiny, glassy, charming and lovely. But he wanted them to be… his… To be his own. Only his, no one else could own them.
Lucius got up and made two steps, forward to Severus. Snape was torned off from reverie, when he heard mate's hesitant breath. He slowly picked up his head to friend, and only then he looked up at Malfoy. Snape's hair sparkled because of fire in the fireplace. And Lucius' ones also sparkled, for the same reason, but more successfully, like Potions Master admitted. And their eyes were so sparkling, But it's not because of fire , or glasses, or even mirror reflections, from mirrors in golden frames. It's because they looked in each other eyes. Lucius' lights shone with desire and love, while Severus' ones shone with passion and love. Lucius leant a little to Severus level. He put his left hand on the wooden armrest. Snape slowly put away his glass, Lucius leant closer. He leant closer and place his right hand on Severus neck. Severus leant closer while Malfoy was moving his head a little to the right. Passion and love won. They wanted it. Please, God, bless them.
When they both were so close –nose to nose –their lips finally met. Lucius was kissing the upper lip and Severus lower. They sucked and kissed each other lips so soft, yet so carefully. They closed their eyes to feel more magic and love entwining them.
They suddenly stopped. Lucius straightened slowly as well as he looked at fireplace. Maybe it wasn't love? Maybe he just wrong deduced him and spoiled nice evening. But not only. Their friendship was spoiled too… He was really upset. If there was a gun he would kill himself. He was really to sit down. Still, what then? What they will do later? Because it doesn't matter if there are in manor plenty of rooms where he can hide. He is a real man. Real men don't do it.
While Lucius was thinking about what happened, Snape was about to cry. Because he spoiled everything so quickly. Of course, he didn't slap him. He didn't push back him. Contrary, he wanted more. But anyway, he didn't leave a mark, blemish or trace. At least not outside. But inside. Inside him. Yet that was the reason why Malfoy is standing now so sad… In one moment he made a decision. He got up from the green armchair. He took smooth, the longed-for hand, with three rings.
-No… -he whispered with voice full of repentance –I didn't mean… God forbid, I wanted it…
-Neither did I… -Lucius whined.
He looked in black, dark eyes full of pain. Severus pulled him closer. Lucius was a little afraid, but he felt warmth of strong, soft left hand which united their fingers. They were again so close as before. Snape pulled him to himself, and they kissed again.
But this time this kiss was shorter. They stopped and drowned in each other eyes. Severus fell for ocean eyes, and Malfoy couldn't come out of dark ones. They rushed at each other. You couldn't even say who was kissing which lip, because of its passion. This kiss was passionate at first, Lucius imperfed the right hand from Severus, to put it on his back shoulder in order to pull him even closer. Potions Master used it to throw his arm round Lucius' neck. Then the kiss was getting more and more passionate, until it got hungry. Lust and love shaped this evening. They didn't realise it until… Oh, it doesn't matter, you are going to know about it anyway.
After one minute Severus braided his right hand in Lucius' platinum hair. They were so soft, beautiful, nice, just perfect. And then, Lucius made the best decision, the best move he could do right now. He placed his left palm on Severus ideal indented waist, pulled him closer and (If this is possible!) kissed harder. Then in this love act they added a taste of their tongues. Severus (as thanks for this perfect move) was the first who opened mouth and stuck out tounge. Malfoy understand it, and quickly opened his own mouth and touched Romeo's tongue. They were dancing in that crazy split. One tongue was embracing second. One of them was bitten by a second tongue. Lucius was biting Severus' tongue. Obviously, from time to time one of them groaned, what was funny for the second. After fifteen minutes of kissing they just stopped and looked in each other eyes.
-You are beautiful –Lucius said. –How can you live alone… -He whispered with disbelief in his voice.
-Oh… You know why… -His true love whispered.
-I… I am sorry…
Severus put his finger on Lucius lips.
-Because you didn't kiss me before… –He whispered to his ear.
-Oh… -he blushed –I would do it anyway, my dearest.
Severus drove down arms off his man.
How beautiful this evening was. It was the best Christmas night, absolutely the best in his entire life was this one with Lucius Malfoy. Now that he changed him… It was always something more than friendship as well as something stronger than family. It was something he felt again. It called love. True love. Malfoy was now totally fascinated by the lover waist (because he put his hands on it). How is that possible? He couldn't get it , yet he loved it.
-I love that.
-Love what? –Lucius smiled.
-This what you're doing with me…
-Ah, I wouldn't do things I don't want to. Nobody can own me. No one, but you.
-I always did.
-And I never thought you are able to say things like that…
-Get used to it, lover boy… -he touched his blond hair. –I think you'll never get enough of it…
Lucius snorted and said with anxiety in his voice. Couldn't hide amusement…
-Was that a threat?
-God forbid, no… Just a promise.
Lucius kissed him in the cheeks, like only wives could do. Yes, he needs to get used to it. And holy shit, Snape is always right. How lucky he was so he could be with this intelligent, quick-genius man!
-You are very, very, true intelligent, my dearest, my lovely, sweet love… -he thought aloud.
-Thank you… -he blushed, but he loved these epithets. –Well, nobody never said it to me…
-No way!
-Uh… -he whined.
Lucius took his hand and kissed it with glory, while holding still one hand on his waist. He started kissing every each finger, every part of them. He wanted to kiss his wrist, so Mr. Malfoy tucked love's right sleeve, and he discovered a perfect, smooth and slim wrist. His paramour grunted when Malfoy bit it.
-Are you… Are you trying to be a vampire? –Potions Master asked.
-It depends on you, my dearest mortal… -he whispered with provocative terror in his voice.
-So you are a vampire, aren't you? –he deduced him.
-I can be anything you want, beautiful living soul of angel…
Severus felt how his heart wanted him as…
-Be my lover, Lucius…
-Pardon me? –He straightened when he heard about the new badge. This made Severus scared of being rejected.
-You said –he explained – You can b…-
He couldn't finish, because he got silenced of the hungry kiss. Severus suddenly grabbed his lover's clothes to not fall down. Malfoy (to secure his man) held him from the back, slowly straightening him.
-So I am, lover…
Severus throw his arms on the lover neck, while Lucius was putting palms on his waist.
-My lovely Romeo, my dearest Dracula, Lucius of mine…
Malfoy felt love tearing out from his heart to embrace his lover tighter.
-Do you want to see what lovers do, Severus?
-Shall I…? –He asked with hope in voice and love in eyes.
-You deserve it, more than anyone, lover…
Lucius throw his arms on Severus neck.
-Merry Christmas, Severus.
-Merry Christmas, Lucius.
