Figuring It Out
Hey guys, I'm Alexey Joy, your host from Filmed Studios. I'm back with another chapter. Yet again I won't tell you what it is about so you better start 'Figuring It Out'
Chapter 2:
Wanted Solitude and Unwanted Solitude.
"Us"
Those words just stunned Blu, he never thought Jewel, a beautiful girl who is way out of his league would ever want to be with him. Blu just stood there, completely lost of words. All he could do was stand there and think about that word and the possibilities it just opened up for his future.
Jewel approached the frozen Blu slowly. She stopped right in front of him and looked into his eyes. Jewel had never properly looked at anyone's eyes before so she was mesmerized by his. His eyes looked like an ocean of brown sand collapsing down into his black pupil. As if there was a sinkhole in the middle of a desert. She couldn't look away.
They stayed like that for a while until Blu broke the silence. "I- uhh. Can you repeat that please?" Blu stuttered out of his mouth. Blu stood back a little when he said that. He needed a bit of space to breathe and comprehend what she just said to him.
"I want to give us a shot, We didn't really get the chance to fully know each other and I want to get to know the side of you that doesn't have a chain to its talon." Jewel explained a little more in depth. She honestly really wanted to just ask him out on the spot, but it was the first time in her entire life that she didn't have the guts to say directly.
"Are y-you asking- are you asking me out?" Blu stuttered out yet again. Shocked that the girl he was crushing on was asking him out. He thought he would never get with her but here she was. Asking him out.
"Yes" Jewel answered directly to him. Blu asking that question gave her the confidence to be able to say it directly. Blu got so happy in that moment. The happiest he has ever been in his life. This made Jewel blush and smile so much as well. Both of them were happier than they could ever remember.
Suddenly, Blu hugged her out of joy. She blushed even more but you couldn't see it because of the feathers in the way. But you could tell by the way her beak moved and in her eyes. They were glistening.
But in all of this, Blu remembered about Linda. "Wait, what about Linda." In all this, he never considered what would happen to himself and Linda if he went out with Jewel. 'Would I go back to Minnesota? Or would I stay in Rio? Would she stay in Minnesota and I stay in Rio? Or would Jewel come to Minnesota with us?' Those are the various scenarios that went through his mind at that moment.
"Oh… right… you care for her." Jewel still didn't fully understand why Blu cared for his human companion. In her experience, humans were just monsters that destroy their homes, take them away from their families and imprison them for years in a fake jungle.
While Blu on the other hand has had great interactions with humans in his 15 years of being alive. Besides the smugglers he just encountered and the ones when he was a chick. But he was saved by Linda as a chick and since then he has had love and affection from her his whole life.
"Well why wouldn't I? She has kept me fed, warm and safe for 15 years." Jewel couldn't argue with that, she believed that he wouldn't lie to her. Though she still had her doubts about humans. "You just need to meet the right ones, Jewel." Blu wasn't wrong. Humans do have a terrible side and it is a pretty noticeable side, but it didn't mean there wasn't a good side.
When Jewel felt something. Her body is hot, not a good hot but a familiar heat. One that she remembered very well. It was the heat of fire. She closed her eyes for a split second and all she could see was smoke and embers. She shot her eyes open in a fright, her pupils were dilated. She jumped a little when she did.
Blu got a little concerned when she did that. He had never seen her do that before. Or does anyone do that. He decided to not mention it because it wasn't something so concerning to ask about. So he let it slide.
"Jewel, c-could please fly me to Linda" Blu stuttered a bit since he was still slightly ashamed that he couldn't fly.
Jewel nodded. Blu crouched down and Jewel mounted him. She gripped her talons around the side of his wings and began flapping. She flew higher, and higher. Blu was getting scared. He wasn't scared when she did it before because he was already having a breakdown.
She flew back to the aviary. Jewel placed Blu down carefully on the ground and then landed next to him. Blu went to the door, climbed up and tried to open the door but it was locked. So he climbed back down and tapped his beak on the window in the door. Trying to get the attention of the guard.
The guard named Sylvio opened the door and saw the two. Sylvio reached his arm down to the two. Jewel moved back a bit but Blu motioned to her that it was okay. She slowly moved back towards the door and got on his arm with Blu. Sylvio closed the door and locked it again, then walked past all the sick birds and into the aviary where Blu and Jewel first met. Then he carefully placed them both down. Blu and Jewel got off of his arm and watched as he left the aviary and locked the door behind them.
"Great" Jewel sarcastically said then flew towards the vent she was trying to break when they first met and started to try escaping again. Prying at the vent trying to bend a hole she could go through. Even though she did not have company and she actually liked the company this time round. She still hated this place. She wanted to be free and have fresh air.
Blu watched as she flew off and wondered where she was going. "Jewel?" he asked as she flew off. Once she was out of sight and walked off to go find her.
Once he found her trying to escape he walked up to her and asked "Why are you trying to escape again?" Blu asked. He knew she hated this place but now she had him to accompany her.
"Because… I don't want to be stuck in here alone again." Jewel had a voice crack while saying that and a couple tears came out of her voice. She had been alone there for 13 years. She spent one of those years in a small cage in a dark, cold room until the cops arrested the smugglers and then she was brought here.
Blu walked over to her. "But… you won't. I'll be here." Blu said as he awkwardly placed a wing on her side. Blu had no experience with comforting other birds. With Linda, he would just rub his head against her cheek but he didnt think that would work for Jewel.
"No you won't, everyone I have met who I have cared about always ended up leaving mylife one way or another. Without even being able to say goodbye. How do I know it will be different for you!" Jewel jerked her body away from Blu in that moment.
"Because… I care for you, and if I do leave, it will never be without goodbye. I promise that." Blu said, trying to convince her that he wasn't going to leave her without her knowing. He gave her a hug and she just sat there with her wings in her face.
Then the door opened and two people came in. It was Linda and Tulio. "Blu!" Linda yelled as she ran towards the companion she had loved for 14 years. "Are you okay?" Blu nodded. Reassuring her that everything was okay. Linda reached her arm out for Blu. But Blu stood back towards Jewel. Linda understood what was happening. So she put her arm down.
"Come with me, I need to check you both for injuries." Tulio said, reaching his arm out for the both of them. Blu got onto his arm without hesitation. But Jewel stayed there.
"Jewel, you coming?" Blu asked while perched on Tulio's arm. Jewel hesitantly stood and got onto Tulio's arm. Staying furthest away from his face but as close to Blu and possible.
Tulio took them to the x ray room and scanned them both. They were completely fine.
Tulio took them both back to the aviary and set them down on a branch next to two hollows. "Blu, i'm going to go sleep. Goodnight." Jewel said before she walked to the hollow above the other one. Blu followed but Jewel stopped him before he could.
"Umm, Blu. I know that none of us have much experience with dating but I don't think we are ready to sleep in the same hollow yet." Jewel explained to Blu with a wing on his chest. Indicating that she wasn't ready for that. Blu completely understood that and then walked towards the other hollow.
After all, they were both still

Well that is the end of Chapter 2. After I finished writing it. I took so long trying to think of a name for this chapter. As I am writing what your reading here I still dont know. I'm
Figuring It Out.
Just Figured It Out.
So. Snowboarding was hell today. My wrists hurt. This annoying family kept cutting in line causing a bunch of people to fall over. I dont get to sleep in to my normal time (I usually sleep in until 2pm) and the closest McDonalds is 3 hours away from where we are.
Other then that. Its great. But I would love to go back to Skiing since I am amazing at that.
