Figuring It Out

Hey guys, I'm Alexey Joy, your host from FilmedIt Studios with chapter 3. You know the drill, and if you don't.

Better start Figuring It Out.

Chapter 3:

A nightmare on fire.

Jewel was flying through the jungle, feeling as free as possible. She loved the feeling of the wind through her feathers as she flew through the jungle and in between trees. But she decided to take a break and eat a grape. She loved grapes but not as much as she loved brazil nuts.

Once she finished eating the grape. She continued flying through the jungle. She flew through tight gaps, did flips, spins and stunts in the air as she flew through the trees. She started to fly higher and higher above the trees, until she dived back into the trees. Once she was back into the trees.

Everything was on fire, ashes hit her feather and caused bits of them to burn off. Some got in between her feathers, causing her skin to burn. Her eyes were watering so much due to the heat that they were starting to go dry.

She was terrified of what was happening to her at that moment. Her home was burning away all around her, and she couldn't even see any wildlife anymore. She saw a burned up macaw family in a burning tree hollow, their feathers and skin was burned off, all she could see on them was meat and bones. She could only imagine what was happening to her family at that moment.

There were screams of pain in the distance from all around her. Her world was broken. She wouldn't even recognise it anymore. She flew in the direction she assumed was back towards her home.

"HELP!" Jewel screamed out, hoping someone would hear her. She decided to fly above the trees but all she could see and breath was smoke. It was unbearable. She flew back down into the heat and continued to call out for someone. "HELP! HELP!" she repeated over and over.

"JEWEL!" A familiar voice called out for her. Jewel flew in the direction of that voice. "JEWEL!" She heard again. Finally she could see what was calling out for her.

"MOM!" Jewel yelled out when she saw her mother. She flew towards her mother as fast as she could. But before Jewel got to her mother, a heavy tree branch crashed into her mother and she was taken to the ground in an instant.

"NOO, MOOOM!"

Jewel woke up with a loud gasp, she shot upwards in an instant then tried to wipe off any ashes that she was dreaming about, as she did this she realised there wasn't anything on her.

To be sure she ran to the entrance of her hollow and looked outside for any fire, there was nothing. She was still in the aviary. Once Jewel realised this she just fell backwards into the wall of the hollow. She leaned against it and slowly slid to the floor, holding herself into a ball while crying. Her feathers around her face were covered in salty tears. "No, mom." Jewel quietly said to herself. 'Its my fault.' Those words repeated in her mind over and over. But soon she started to say it quietly "it's my fault." Over and Over.

This went on for 2 more hours until 6am. 6am was the time Blu would get up to get ready to wake Linda up. Blu got so used to getting up at 6am, his body just woke up naturally at that time. When Blu woke up he heard Jewel crying and repeating "it's my fault." but i couldn't hear it properly, so he quietly walked up towards Jewels hollow to get a better listen.

Once Blu arrived at the entrance of the hollow he leaned the side of his head to the edge of the entrance and listened in. "It's my fault, it's my fault." Blu hears Jewel repeat. He decided to knock on the side of the hollow entrance, trying to get the attention of Jewel.

When Blu knocked on the door, each knock was an explosion on the bottom of a tree for her. She jumped when this happened and then snapped back to reality.

"Jewel?" Blu called out to her with concern in his voice, he leaned his head around the corner of the hollow entrance. "Jewel? Are you okay?" Blu asked as he slowly walked in and towards the crying Jewel.

"I- I… Umm… I don't know." Jewel stuttered out due to her sniffing and crying. Jewel sat up against the hollow wall and leaned against it. Blu slowly walked over to her and sat down next to her. Jewel then leaned onto the side of Blu. He was nice and cold, other than the burning she was just feeling.

"Do- is there anything I can do to help?" Blu genuinely wanted to help with whatever was going on with her at that moment. The only thing Bu could think of to comfort her at that was to just be there for her. She was clearly disturbed by something.

"I dont know." Jewel sniffed out, all she wanted to do at that moment was to be next to Blu, to feel like she wasn't alone at that moment anymore, and Blu's presence was helping with that. Just the feel of him made her feel better and better.

"Do you want to tell me what happened?" Blu asked, Blu needed to know what was troubling her to fully help with what's going on. Blu looked at her and waited for an answer.

"I don't know." Jewel had no idea what she wanted to do, the only thing she knew is that she needed Blu to be next to her at that moment. With him next to her she felt safe. Safer then felt for a long time. It was a great change for her.

"Well… you can talk to me about it when you're ready to." Blu then got up and walked towards the exit. "Wait!" Jewel called out for Blu. Blu stopped and turned around at the entrance to look at her.

"Stay… Please…" Jewel begged him to stay and comfort her. So Blu went back to her and sat down next to her, Jewel leaned her head against her and continued to cry. So Blu decided to try to comfort her the only way he knew how.

Blu rubbed his head gently on the top of her head. Jewel was a bit confused by this but she kinda liked it, she felt cared for at that moment. They stayed like that for the next 10 minutes until Jewel felt a little better. "Are you ready to talk about it now?" Blu asked again as he looked at her.

"I'm still"

Figuring It Out

Welp that's the end of that chapter. I decided to make it so Jewel had PTSD. I hope I portrayed that well.

I know this chapter was short. I really tried to make it longer but I just didn't know how I could, and I felt if I did make it longer it would be pointless dialogue that would end up in a dead end.

I'll try to make future chapters longer but I need to find a good chapter idea for that. Im still
