Part 1: Jason
It had been difficult for Dick. Hell, it was always difficult around this time. April 27th, the day his little brother died. No one knew what to say or do around him to make the day easier, he knew that, so he took the day off from everything. No Nightwing and no police-duty, just him in Gotham visiting the places that reminded him of his brother.
Despite being in Gotham, Dick didn't visit the manor, he had always been angry at Bruce for not telling Dick of his little brother's death sooner and today was one of the days he knew that the anger would just finally get released one way or another. Neither wanted that to happen, not today.
Towards the end of this day Dick stopped to pick up flowers. He didn't get any for his parents, he would deal with that day later. It was dumb getting him flowers, if he were here he would have laughed and teased him for getting something as girly as flower, but it helped Dick to have something to hold on to when he visited.
"I don't know what to say," blue-eyes that always seemed strong now filled with tears. "I miss you. Hell, I miss you a lot. You were there, you understood how difficult it was, but you didn't let it change you, you just became stronger."
Carefully Dick laid the flowers at his deceased brother's grave. A man wearing a black jacket and a red helmet watches from a distance. This man was angry, he was angry his brother was here, angry his adopted father wasn't, angry that neither killed the man that hurt him, and angry he died so many years ago.
He slowly approached his grieving brother, after all a family should be together in a time of grief.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" The angry man questioned.
"I'm sorry, I was just vi…" Dick looked at the man and immediately regretted not bringing his weapons.
He had heard about the new villain Red Hood, but he didn't think he would be out tonight. Really it was dumb looking back, thinking the world had stopped on this day, after all it felt like the world had stopped when he first heard the news.
"What pretty boy, didn't expect me to be here?"
"Red Hood."
"The one and only, but you might prefer calling me by my real name." With those final words the angry man removed the helmet.
It took a minute for Dick to register who it was, after all it had been years. It soon hit him though, it hit him like a wall of bricks.
"Jason?"
