Chapter 1

I sat on the floor in a corner of my room. I simply stared at one spot in front of me. The door opened but I didn't waste effort to even look who came in. I had a pretty good idea who it was. The sound of the steps echoed in my room and the sound of tiny wheels turning. All the sounds stopped when two black fine shoes appeared in front of me blocking the spot I was starting.

"Why do you have to be so miserable?" I heard him asking.

I hated that voice of his. Sounding as if he was worried, but in truth, he knew very well why I was like that.

"You haven't eaten anything since yesterday. And you haven't even opened the gifts I sent for you." He kept talking.

My bed was full of bags and packages with different clothes and shoes. But I knew what he was after and buying me fancy clothes isn't going to happen.

"Your friends would be worried if something happens to you. But then who will worry for them if something were to happen to them?"

That was it. In a matter of seconds, I was up, standing and glaring at him angrily. He was taller than me even when I stood up I barely came to his chest. He wore a black suit with a white-collar shirt that was left open from the last two buttons. Beside him was an IV-pole that held both three different drips and a respiratory machine. His face was disfigured but I could still see his grin when he finally got me to react to his words.

"Glad to see you up, dear. It seems the only way to reason with you is if we make deals." He grinned at me.

"Leave them alone." I hissed at him.

I wanted to pull all those cables and tubes that kept him alive and end all this. But will it really end?

"I don't care for them and you know it. But if you keep pulling these tricks, I see no other way than to go to them and… pay a little visit." He said putting more emphasis on the last part so you understand what he meant by visiting them.

"No!" I shouted and turned my face away from him and covering my ears.

Just the thought of something happening to them because of me scared me.

"You win. I'll stay and behave." I gave in.

"Good to see you haven't changed since we last saw each other," he said and patted my head.

"Just promise me that you won't hurt them," I begged.

"Oh, don't worry about it. Nothing will happen to them if you behave." He said calmly,

I just nodded. I hate it but there was no other way. For one year I managed to escape from him. I got rid of his subordinate three months ago. He had more of them and I couldn't fight them all without my friends getting hurt. That is how I ended back here.

My thoughts were broken when he gave a pat on my cheek.

"We have a deal then." He smiled and walked away and glanced at the pile of gifts on the bed.

"Tomorrow is your initiation. I suggest you wear something nice for that. This black one looks lovely, you should try it." He said before he left me alone in my room.

I waited moment before I walked to my bed and looked at all the gifts on it. I also looked at the clothing, he referred to before. I decided right then not it wear it. But he doesn't take no for an answer. I thought for a moment and slowly a plan began to form. I took a cellphone that was on my night desk and chose a number from the contacts. I know the phone is tapped but it didn't matter now.

"It's me. Can you bring me scissors, a needle, and some black string? He wants me to wear this thing but I need to adjust it a bit." I said to the person who answered.

Once I got alright from the one who answered I hung up the phone. I will obey for now All for One, but I'll do things my way. One day I will be free again.

"She is what?" Tsukauchi almost shouted to the phone.

"Missing. The patient is missing. We can't find her anywhere. She wasn't in her room this morning and nowhere in the hospital." The doctor explained on the phone. "We need your help to find her. She suffered a shock yesterday, and if she still doesn't remember anything then she might get hurt."

"Understood. We'll keep an eye out for her." Tsukauchi informed before he hung up.

"She is missing?" All Might asked to confirm if he understood the situation.

"Yes. She wasn't in her room this morning." Tsukauchi sighed.

He and All Might had met at the police station and review reports on the three people who were found dead yesterday. Their bodies were burned beyond recognition, but dental records matched.

"Is it the same villain?" All Might asked.

"Yes. We know his quirk. And it matches." Tsukauchi confirmed.

Right then another officer rushed to them.

"We have found the suspect." He informed.

"Really let's go then. Tell the exact location as we go."

I sat on a swing while I waited. It was getting cold for me. I had just taken the clothes that were in my room which were a hoodie and sweatpants. The place where I waited was deserted. It was a playground for children in the neighborhood. But the location wasn't ideal for families so the playground was abandoned. Now only some people who wanted to be alone came here. I just happened to know one who was like that.

I heard footsteps hitting the gravel. I lifted my gaze to see if it was the right person coming. It was him. Even if I hadn't lost my memory I might have remembered him. He looked so plain. A black t-shirt and dark jeans. Small gloves and sneakers. Short black hair and pale complexion. It's a good thing that Tsukauchi had kept coming and asking about him. If I hadn't seen his picture so much I wouldn't have recognized him.

"Took a good while to find you." He said annoyingly.

"Oh, you knew where I was. You just didn't have the guts to get me." I teased him.

He wasn't happy with my remark. If his boss would know that he knew where I was but didn't get me because of the police, he would end in a stew. For real.

"You know why I'm here. Boss told me to bring you back." He explained as if he was put in charge of a big mission.

"You should have got me while I was unconscious. I am not going back. He can settle for lapdogs like you." I said to him as I got up from the swing. "Well at least to the ones that get the job done."

I was pushing it but that was the point. The moment he flips he loses control of his quirk and is easy to find.

"Why you little… He also told me that I can hurt you if you won't obey." He threatened me.

"You have to kill me in order to even catch me," I said right before I sprinted to run.

I forgot how slow I used to be. But I was still faster than him. As I ran I led him away from the houses just in case there were still people around. The area that I chose wasn't far but it was wide and desert for us to finish our business. There was supposed to be a construction site in that area but it delayed for a month. Soon another apartment building would be built here. For now, it worked for me.

Once I got him to the area I stopped running and faced him. He had discarded his gloves on the way and now his quirk was showing.

His quirk; lava. Whatever he touches with either his palms or his feet will heat up rapidly. Mostly the ground begins to boil and literally turns into lava. This is why he wears special gloves and shoes.

I saw how a wall next to him began to steam and then become soft before it turned liquid. He was mad. He won't be going easy on me. I knew he had a short temper that is how I beat him before. That and I knew where to hit. Now I wasn't going to even try. Hearing the news that my friends had died snapped something in me. I had regained my memories, all of them. Even the things that I didn't want to remember. I was going to end all here.

I heard the sirens in the distance, which meant that the police were on their way here, hopefully with some heroes as well. It was my turn to vanish for good. I had dodged all his attacks until now. Now I simply stopped and let him come at me. He wasn't going to stop. His hand was practically glowing red from the heat. I might die now, but maybe it was for the best. I closed my eyes as I could feel the heat radiating from his hand on my face.

"Detroit Smash."

Suddenly I felt strong air passing me, and then that heat disappeared. I opened my eyes. My attacker was nowhere near me. He was in fact further away and lying on the ground. I looked at my side and realized that All Might stood there.

"Worry not, miss. Because I am here." He said smiling his famous smile.

I didn't know he would be here. Did he know who this villain was? While I kept pondering all the questions in my head I completely forgot the man on the ground.

"Dammit. Why is All Might here?" He asked the same thing I did in my head.

"Very simple. I'm here to make sure you'll be captured." All Might answered before he charged at the man.

Villain managed to dodge the attack. Now that he was facing All Might he knew that he had no chances. He tried to come at me since I seemed still confused about everything that happened so far. His hands were not glowing anymore so maybe he decided to simply grab me and run. But before he could even reach me, All Might cut his way to me.

"How dare you lay a hand on a defenseless lady?" All Might questioned him.

"Buzz off. My business is with her." He bit back, but that was all he did before All Might gave him a good hit to the stomach.

After that, the police arrived and arrested the villain. I was still standing on the same spot when Tsukauchi walked to me and All Might join him to talk with me.

"Why did you run from the hospital? And why did come here? That was very dangerous." Tsukauchi lectured me.

"I… I… was… he…" I stuttered while I was still trying to get my head around what had happened.

"Miss, are you alright? I hope that villain didn't hurt you." All Might asked.

Instead of answering questions, I looked around the scene. The villain was gone, the police were securing the area, and these men were really worried about me. Once it all clicked in place, I began finally talk in sentences.

"He killed them."

Tsukauchi and All Might had a serious face on as they heard what I said.

"He wasn't supposed to kill them… they weren't supposed to die," I repeated more to myself than to anyone else.

Right then I broke to my knees and cried with all my might. I was tired, confused, and very sad. Both men stayed with me and let me wail all my sadness. I stopped when I ran out of energy and fell asleep. I don't know how they got me back. But I woke up in the same hospital room. Instead of calling anyone or figuring anything out. I simply fell back to sleep. Repeating one thing for myself.

It all had changed.

Okay for those who got all confused at the beginning.

There will be two timelines in the story since the heroine will be transported back in time.

From this chapter onward the first half of the chapter will the previous timeline. And the second half will be the same day but a new timeline.
