Connor glanced at the sign overhead, so this was the gym that Dr. O had started with the original pink ranger. He took a deep breath and entered, after running into Tommy at the school that morning he couldn't shake how horrible his former mentor had looked. He looked worst than he had when he was in that coma.

"Can I help you?" an older man asked, his deep voice and kind face both seemed familiar but Connor couldn't place where it might have been from, possible the video diary that they had hacked into when they first became power rangers.

"I'm looking for Kimberly Oliver," he said, trying to figure out how to explain that he was concerned about her husband's health.

"She's over there on the mat," the man said, "Her class has just ended so you can go over and talk to her now Connor."

Connor nodded and headed over to the beautiful woman dressed in pink, "Excuse me, Mrs. Oliver, I'm Connor McKnight, I'm a friend of your husband, and," Connor rubbed the back of his neck, unsure how to continue, "I guess I'm just worried about him," he confessed, "I saw him over at the high school and he looked horrible, worst then he did when he was in a coma my Senior Year."

Kim tipped her head to the side, looking at this stranger, "You're one of us aren't you?" she asked, although she had a good idea what the answer was, not many of his former students knew that he had been in a coma during that time.

Connor nodded his head, "Yes, and he looks like a henchman could do him in at the moment. Is everything all right with him?"

Kim shook her head, "No, but I don't know what's wrong, he's not sleeping, he's way too protective of me and the girls," Kim let out a loud sigh, "Sometimes I just don't know him anymore. I know he feels guilty about what happened, but the past is in the past, he just won't move on."

"I'm no doctor," Connor said, "But I think something needs to change before someone decides to take advantage of his weakened state."

...

Kim glanced at her husband from across the table, he looked like he was about to fall asleep in his dinner, which meant that he had snuck out of bed again last night. He was going to make himself sick if he hadn't already done so.

"Tommy," she said softly, knowing all to well how stubborn her husband could be, "Why don't you get the kids ready for bed while I clean up the kitchen."

"But," Tommy started to protest, only to interrupt himself with a jaw splitting yawn, "It's my turn to do the dishes."

Kim rubbed her forehead, "Tommy, you're basically asleep on your feet," she protested, "You look exhausted, everyone can see it."

"I'm fine, honest," Tommy insisted, "I don't know what you're worr..." he let out another yawn, "worried about."

"No, you are not fine Thomas Oliver, if you were fine, complete strangers wouldn't be asking me if you were okay!"

"Is Mommy going to hit Daddy, Jaslee?" Ellie asked, her voice quivering a little as she looked at her parents with concern.

Kim glanced at the girls, she had totally forgotten they were there, "No Ellie, I'm not going to hit him, but I am considering tying him to bed if he won't stop his late-night missions."

"Kim," Tommy insisted, "I'm just trying to protect you and the girls."

"And what good would you be if you're too tired to deal with a threat if it comes?" Kim demanded, "This has to stop, and it has to stop now!"

Tommy glanced at the three little girls who were obviously uncomfortable seeing their mother so angry, something he was sure that they had never seen in their lives. In fact, the only one they had probably seen this angry before was Luke. No wonder Ellie was afraid that Kim was going to hit him.

"Kim," he insisted, nodding to the girls, "You're upsetting the girls."

Kim glanced at the girls, a guilty look on her face, she hadn't meant to upset them, "I'm sorry girls, I..." she didn't know what to say, it wasn't like her just to start yelling like that, but Tommy was being stubborn. She had to make him understand that she needed him, that the girls needed him and this wasn't working.

"I'll put the girls to bed," Tommy offered, that should give her enough time to regain control of her anger, she would still be angry, she must have been angry at him for some time before finally letting it out.

As Tommy guided the three girls up the stairs, Kim took a deep breath, trying to regain composure. She couldn't believe that she had lost control like that, but the thought of losing Tommy again scared her.

She half suspected that Tommy would take his time putting the girls down but ten minutes after heading upstairs he was back, "Okay," he said as he slid back into his seat, "We can talk now."

"Tommy," Kim started, reaching across the table to grab his hands, "I love you, you know that right?"

"I love you too," Tommy said, "That's why I have to..."

"You don't have to do anything Thomas," Kim snarled, causing Tommy to fight the urge to flee, this wasn't like her at all, had she figured it out, did she really blame him for what happened.

"Yes, I do," Tommy insisted, "It's my fault that you and the girls even had to deal with that… that monster."

"Luke," Kim said, her voice dangerously low, "Luke, this is about Luke, Tommy Luke is dead, he can't hurt us anymore. Silverback is gone, Goldar is gone, all of our enemies are taken care of."

"We're power rangers," Tommy pointed out, "there is always some sort of enemy after us."

"Which is why we have a security system, with measures put in to ensure that we are safe in case of a monster attack. A monster can't get within a mile of this place without us knowing about it, and at the gym we have Zordon. The person who is at most risk of getting attacked is you."

"What about the girls at school?" Tommy pointed out.

"For crying out loud, Tommy, this is Reefside we're talking about, they have monster drills more often than any other kind of drill. They'll be fine."

"But..." Tommy was interrupted by a yawn.

"But nothing, Connor came and talked to me at the gym, he said you looked worst then when you were in that coma," Kim pointed at Tommy, "I need you, the girls need you, and you can't protect us if you don't take care of yourself," by now Kim was standing next to Tommy, "Promise me that you will at least try?" she pleaded.

Tommy nodded, guilt building up, "I..." he glanced down at where his hand was entwined with hers, "I'll do my best," he said.

"Good," Kim said, "Now I'm going to do the dishes and I want you asleep when I get upstairs, and I want you to sleep through the night."

Tommy let out another yawn before standing up, "Are you sure that you don't want me to help with the dishes."

Kim smirked at him, "Handsome, you look like you'll pass out as soon as you see a bed." she pressed a kiss on his cheek before adding, "I'll be up in a little bit."
