Author's Note: This is my first fanfiction, so reserve your impressions until you're done reading the chapter.

I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism for future reference to go by, whether it be positive or negative, but toxic criticism and other inappropiate comments would not be tolerated.

Please note that I would be most likely slow at first but would improve publication speeds over time with the best quality I would try to give out.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first story.

Exposition

Fodlan. A land with a long history dating back to a time long before the rise of the first modern civilization of humanity. Governed by its three powers: The Adrestian Empire to the south, The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus to the north, and the Leicester Alliance to the east. Watching over them like a mother to that of a young and innocent child is the Church of Seiros, spreading, maintaining, and upholding the words and teachings of their patron Saint Seiros and that of the beloved goddess. However, with rising tensions from behind the scences and an encroaching darkness from ancient civilizations slowly coming to light, the peace held for so long despite Fodlan's history would shatter with the fires of raging war.

But what if something from beyond the stars turned its otherworldy gaze onto Fodlan and change history. What if these primordial beings from a certain, by-gone world were to impose the will of the god-like creators, of the Old Ones, onto a new world; a second chance to ensure the fufillment of their Great Plan unto a world without the machinations of other malevonent beings? What if they decided that Fodlan shall be "enlightened" with powers and technology as such would only be described as "nothing of the works of ancient gods?"

But the ultimate question would be: Would Fodlan bend the knee and come to embrace the Great Plan of the Old Ones? Or be forcefully crushed under reptilian might and come to see the errors of their misbegotten follies of deviation from their so-called "saint" along with their "goddess?"

Time would see to it that no matter who comes out victorious, History would see to it that Fodlan forever be changed whether it be for the better or for the worse. But let it be known that it would remember for millenia upon millenia what it's like to have primordial creatures, those of which lived longer than the goddess herself, walk the realms of men and those children of the goddess called Sothis.
