Swaine was running some statistics on his patient. He had only been there a few minutes and already the patient had had about five tests run on him and this one would be the sixth! Nav came into the sick bay. Swaine looked up and smiled when he saw her.

"How's everything on the bridge?" Swaine asked, smiling.

"Busy. Especially as Commander Flynn isn't there." Nav responded.

"He's still not up there?!"

"Nope. No one has seen him since this morning."

"Huh."

"Something on your mind?"

"Nothing you need to worry about. What did you come down here for?"

"To check on our patient."

"In other words, Spider and Bomber are annoying you."

"Your words not mine."

Swaine looked at Nav. He knew how annoying those two certain people were in situations like this.

"Well he's doing fine considering."

"Good."

"You want to stay down here don't you?"

"Can I?"

"Course. As long as you help me."

Nav got to work helping Swaine in the sick bay. Swaine needed the company and the help as Bomber didn't like she was going to be down any time soon.

Kate was still in charge of the bridge. She was a little worried about Mike but couldn't show it otherwise the crew would pick up on it. She kept a straight face and carried on her work, well Mike's work.

"Mind out will you!" Bomber shouted.

"Bomber!" Kate shouted back.

"Sorry Ma'am."

Kate tutted as she got out of her chair to see what was going on. She found Spider, RO, Bomber and Charge in one corner nearly in a scrap. She rolled her eyes and looked over at Buffer. Buffer would be hard on them so Kate had to think of something fast.

"Spider go and help RO in the communications room." Kate finally decided.

"But Ma'am…" RO protested.

"Go!" Kate shouted back at RO.

RO gave in and walked with Spider down to the room. Kate gave an icy look at Charge and Bomber which told them to back off or else.

"Yes Ma'am." Both of them nodded.

Kate turned to Buffer and shrugged her shoulders. Buffer gave the same reply back. Neither of them knew what was going on with Spider and Bomber but they needed to get a hold of it and fast!

"Give me strength." Kate whispered at Buffer.

"I wish I could X." He replied.

"I thought this mission might bring them closer together, not tear them apart!"

"You never know with those two. You're doing your best."

"Thanks Buffer."

"You're welcome."

Kate smiled and walked back to her station. She picked up her radio.

"Anything from the starlight RO?" Kate talked through.

"Not in the past hours Ma'am. Apart from the mayday." RO responded.

"Did they say why they were out here?"

"Just what Nav said. That was it."

"Then why would army captains and soldiers be on a marine boat?"

"I don;t know Ma'am." RO said.

"It was a rhetorical question." Kate tutted back.

"Sorry Ma'am."

"Just keep me informed." Kate ended the radio contact.

The starlight, everyone knows, was a science vessel. Most of their crew wouldn't allow army or navy people on board. So why on earth did the rescue team find some on the ship wreck. There was only one person who could answer that question. Kate made her way down to the sick bay.

Kate had made her way down to the sick bay. Swaine and Nav were waiting for her. They knew she would be coming soon. Swaine watched her go around the patient as a doctor.

"How's Jim doing?" Kate finally asked.

"He's alright. He's not awake yet."

"How did you know?"

"It would be the only thing you would ask."

"Tell me when he is."

"You'll be the first one to know."

"Thanks."

"Another thing X."

"Yes?"

"No one can trace Commander Flynn. We just wondered where he was."

"You think I know, do you?"

"I thought you might."

"I'll go and have a look." Kate said to keep Swaine happy.

"Thanks." Swaine sighed.

Kate followed Swaines advice. She went to Mike's quarters to see if he was there or if there was anything to give her a clue about his whereabouts. She knocked on his door. No answer.

"Sir?" Kate asked.

Still no answer. Kate looked around so no one could see what she was doing. She then barged in the door.

"Mike!"
