Chapter 19
The vampires ran into the Hellsing Mansion to see blood and body parts everywhere, both human and Yokai. They followed the trail of carnage to a sight where a group of Hellsing soldiers were making a last stand, Sir Integra and Akiko were among them, firing away with rifles of their own. Alucard opened fire, Seras' Harkonnen Cannons would have torn through the Yokai and hit their comrades. The Yokai soon dispersed, and Alucard let them go, for now. As Seras and Alucard went to Sir Integra she said, "They snuck in while we were focused on the outside! They released the Yokai we captured, and before we knew it, we were fighting for our lives. Gunfire went off from the entrance, the soldiers that had followed Alucard and Seras out had returned.
Sir Integra quickly gave the order, and her soldiers followed the gunfire, and soon arrived in time to regroup with the returning soldiers. They all regrouped and formed defensive positions around Sir Integra as they made their way to her office. Waiting there were Akiko's siblings; Aki, Akira, and Sakki. The three kitsune looked at Sir Integra's group, they were surrounded with their remaining Yokai. In the narrow confines of the Halls, it would be a total slaughter for both sides. They simply stared at each other, and finally, Aki raised a hand and declared, "Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, I wish to parley with you."
Sir Integra strode towards him, her uniform smeared with blood, as was her sword, but she appeared to have escaped any injury. "What are your terms, kitsune? If you wish to surrender, my conditions are that you take your people and return to Japan, and never return with ill intentions ever again. I will accept no other terms," the female knight said with all the force of her personality. The kitsune stepped forward enough to show he was taller, but she was underwhelmed by his presence. "I propose a challenge, a battle between champions. Neither of us wish to lose any more of our people. Should we win, we will stay here on your island. If you win, we will comply with your demands," Itto Aki stated.
Sir Integra looked at him, "How do I know that you and yours will fight honorably? I may not be an expert on Japanese mythology, but I've been brushing up on it. And we British people have a few sayings about foxes that all mean the same thing; never trust them." Aki actually smiled, "I wish we had met other different circumstances, human. You are a great opponent. I would love to play a less violent game with you one day. However, you will just have to accept my word. After all, it will be my sister who fights for me." Everyone looked to Sir Integra, who looked back and said, "Seras, this is your time. Do us proud."
Seras and Sakki stepped forward, Sakki looked much like an older Akiko, but with more lipstick and a crueler look in her eyes. "Let's move this outside," Sir Integra suggested, and the soldiers of Hellsing along with the remaining Yokai-gumi all went outside the Mansion, to a spot that wasn't covered in dead yokai or human soldiers. Sir Integra and Aki drew their swords and marked a circle for Seras and Sakki to fight, and Aki announced, "This will be a battle until one of you surrenders, is forced out of the circle, or is killed. If there is any outside interference, the one who was aided shall forfeit. If Itto Sakki wins, the Yokai-gumi have free reign over this island. If Seras Victoria wins, the Yokai-gumi will return to Japan and never return. Are we agreed to these terms?"
"I agree," Sir Integra said as Seras put away her Harkonnen Cannons and stepped into the circle. Before she did, Akiko said, "Watch out for her illusions! And fire! And remember, he didn't say that weapons aren't allowed either!" Seras nodded and her shadow arm split into a plethora of tentacles. Sakki stepped into the circle brandishing a naginata and smiled haughtily at the Draculina. "FIGHT!"
Sakki charged forward, twirling her naginata with all the skill that comes from decades of training. Even with vampiric speed, Seras had to work to dodge her spear, Sakki was moving in swirling patterns that seemed to never end before she spotted an opening. Seras' shadow arms shot at Itto Sakki as fast as a bullet, but the kitsune barely dodged them, although her kimono was shredded her body was untouched. Seras went on the offensive then, her shadow arm splitting into eight shadowy tentacles that Sakki barely dodged and blocked with her naginata that was miraculously holding up against the supernatural appendages.
Sakki's eyes then glowed and she seemed to throw shuriken at Seras. Seras ignored them, and pressed on with her attack, before Sakki slammed the butt of her spear in the ground and foxfire swirled around her body. Seras withdrew her tentacles as Sakki slashed the air with her naginata, sending arcs of fox fire her way. Alucard grabbed Integra and Akiko and quickly dodged the flames, while Seras struggled to do the same. Unfortunately, if she left the circle then she would forfeit the fight.
Sakki slammed the ground with her naginata and fire spread all around her, covering the ground. Seras barely jumped up in time to avoid the fires, and then her shadow arm turned into shadowy wings. Seras flew at Sakki and grabbed her naginata spear with her shadows before kicking her in the stomach with both her powerful legs. Sakki puked blood as something inside her cracked and she was sent flying out of the ring. Itto Aki caught his sister and looked at her in disbelief. "You won," the leader of the Yokai-gumi said as Sakki coughed up blood.
"Now, you hold to your end of our agreement," Sir Integra said as Sakki's foxfire disappeared and Seras landed on the ground. Itto Aki nodded, "We shall leave and never return. We underestimated you, Sir Hellsing. We will return, however. For us, we have nothing but time, and eventually, you will die. It's only a matter of time." He then turned his attention to Akiko and said to his youngest sibling, "I suppose we were wrong about you as well, Imouto. You can return to Japan if you wish. However, know that I cannot guarantee your safety there." With this said, Itto Aki turned his back on Hellsing and left them alone.
