(Bella's pov)

All I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry, I didn't want to go back to school, I didn't want to go home. Especially because I knew Mike would be waiting for me. I wasn't exactly sure when Mike would be coming, but I had a feeling it would be sooner than later.

I came to a stop when I reached my truck, I wanted to get in and drive away but I knew what Charlie would do if I did. I leaned forward with my forehead against the window, I felt the tears start to trickle down my face, which slowly led to pouring down my face.

I stayed there for a few minutes until I heard my phone start to ring. I took it out of a pocket to see it was Charlie, great. "Hello" I said, trying to make my voice even so he couldn't tell I had been crying. "Bella, tonight you have an appointment with the Newton boy." "Dad, I have school tomorrow" I tried to argue with no success. "I don't care if you have school tomorrow. He's paying good money for the next 2 nights" Two nights. Charlie never let us out for 2 nights, that means this will probably be the worst 2 nights ever. I couldn't imagine how much money Mike was paying, I couldn't bring myself to ask either. "I don't want to hear anything else about it until you leave." And just like that he hung up, nothing more to it. I stood there shocked, frozen in place, I couldn't grasp the fact that this was happening. Every time I had an appointment was the same, I got scared and froze, not being able to grasp what was happening. You'd think I was used to it after 3 years, I wasn't. And I was starting to think I'd never get used to it.

The bell rang but I didn't move, I couldn't step forward or backwards, left or right knowing I might see Mike before tonight. Everything around me was muffled and blurred at this point and I wasn't sure what was going on. I felt a warm hand wrap around me and start to guide me which I let happen and started walking. I soon realized that I was in front of my classroom, and to my side was Angela who was walking off.

She didn't say a word which I was thankful for, I don't think I could have talked about it. I made my way into the classroom, which I was late for. I quickly had my slip signed and sat down in the only empty seat. Which I had also noticed to be right beside Edward Cullen.

As much As I was scared of vampires, It made me feel good to know nothing could hurt me in that moment. Then an idea quickly came to mind. What if I dropped my shield and let him in, what if I tried to explain it to him to see how one would react before and entire family. Because I wasn't stupid, I knew they were bound to find out one day.

So I did what could've been possibly the stupidest decision of my life. I dropped the shield.

Look, If I let you in, you cannot say a word to anyone, especially your family. I thought that would definitely get his attention. I mean who else would I be talking to, I could immediately tell his eyes were focused on me. He was in shock, I mean, I get it. It's not everyday a "human" knows what you are. I slightly looked over to him, his eyes wide with shock and confusion, but he slowly nodded so I continued. Yes, I know what you are and I'd rather not explain how or why, at least not here. I do not come as a threat by any means, and to be honest I'm a bit afraid of you guys. Seeing as the last vampires who knew what I was tried to kill me.

It had just been some nomads that were passing through that I had met one night while I was out on a midnight hunt, I didn't think much of it because I had met nomads before who I helped out. But one in particular didn't Accept me so well.

*Flashback*

"You're a freak!" He yelled as he grabbed my throat and pushed me against a tree with much force that I was struggling to breath. "I don't even know how you exist but it isn't right. You shouldn't be! You have no place in my world! You are a danger to our kind and I will not let you sad excuse of a creature get in the way" He hissed, slowly squeezing his hands tighter and tighter around my neck. I started gasping for air, which made a largeevil grin appear on his face, He started leaning in closer and closer aiming for my neck.

He was distracted, I quickly took advantage and kicked my feet off the tree which sent me flying along with him to. He was surprised and caught off guard by the strength I had, seeing as he had assumed I didn't share abilities with his kind. I took the minute of shock he had and used it to my advantage by ripping his head off.

As I stared down at the creature I had almost lost my life to, I pledged to myself never to trust another one again. Ever.

*End of flashback*

I showed all of that to Edward, which means he saw me with super strength and speed. The poor guy was probably so confused, I looked over at him and his face was covered with a sympathetic look, but the confusion had not left.

Well talk a few minutes after class. And that was it for now, I put my shield back up so I could think to myself. I had zoned out and before I knew it the bell rang.

I got up without thinking about Edward and continued on my way to the last class. A sudden cold grasp caught my arm which made me lightly shiver, It was Edward. "Hey, you said we'd talk" His voice was so low, quiet and filled with confusion there was no way I could turn him down. "Ok, lets talk." I responded, stupidly like I had no idea what he was going on about. He let out a sigh and continued in a very frantic tone "What are you? How do you know? Who are you? How were you blocking out my power?" ugh, I hate it when people ask questions not giving me the time to answer the first one. " I'm not what I look like to you, that for sure" I said with a nervous laugh. "I truly do think that this would be better to talk about with the entire family, I'm not one to have much time on my hands so well figure something out." I said quickly and before giving him the time to respond I left and entered my last class of the day.

And There was once again, The one and only Jasper hale. Was god seriously cursing me in having practically every class together. Like seriously I couldn't catch a break today.

I went and sat down next to him, said a quick hello and went to doodling in my notebook waiting for the teacher to get here seeing as she was late. I could feel his eyes practically burning holes into me, most likely because my emotions were a mess so I put my shield up to help him out a bit. Even though he had felt my emotions multiple times today, I didn't want him to view me as weak and broken, like I was.

The teacher came into the class a bit late. I didn't bother to get up and get my slip signed, just thinking I'd do it afterwards. The teacher was speed walking over to her desk, but on her way she slipped. She fell and instantly I was hit with the smell of blood. Good thing I had put my shield up, if Jasper felt bloodlust coming from me I would have a lot of explaining to do. Immediately. Wait, Jasper! I wasn't sure how good they were with their control over blood, but not a second thought went by before I quickly looked over at Jasper who had already stood up in his seat seeming very tense and ready to pounce at any moment.

The entire class had already gotten up to rush to the front and see the teacher, thankfully. I was instantly at Jasper's side trying to calm him down. "Jasper, look at me" nothing, "Jasper c'mon you don't want to do this". Seeing as he probably didn't even notice I was talking to him, I wrapped my arms around him and started pulling him out, which was not as easy as it may seem. Sure I had super strength, but so did Jasper, and he was fighting for human blood.

I was fine, seeing as I was born like this and grew up around people. The only time I struggled with bloodlust was if I didn't go hunting for over 3 weeks, but even then I could control myself.

"Jasper, think about your family", "You can't do this to them, or me." I said as I was still trying to pry him out of the school. Low animal-like growls were erupting from his chest as he was fighting me more and more. I finally got to the edge of the woods and started to get tired. Even though I had the strength I was still half human after all, I did need to rest.

I finally got far enough to where I couldn't smell even a hint of blood and pushed Jasper on the ground and immediately rushed over and sat on him letting out a tired sigh.

At this point his eyes had gone completely black, and the growls were becoming louder. " God dammit Jasper! Calm down!" He was not cooperating. "Jasper, I seriously don't want to need to kill you."

"Get off of him!" A beautiful familiar voice shouted. Alice. "Did you not hear me!? I said get off of him!" She yelled again. At this point they were all crouched down in fighting positions ready to attack. I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous, 3 angry vampires crouched in front of me ready to attack, and one below me fighting for blood. Not a very ideal situation in my case. "Seriously? You want me to get off of him? Because as far as I'm concerned I'm not the family of vampires that includes one who clearly has control issues and almost slaughtered an entire class." They were all still crouched but obviously a bit shocked at my response. "I personally think you should all be thanking me". Then it dawned on me, Edward wasn't there, but before I could say anything someone walking up to us started speaking.

"Guys, back down. She's not a danger." Edward. Slowly everyone's anger turned into pure shock and confusion as they stood up and looked behind them at Edward. "Thank you Edward, I didn't feel like dying today," I said along with a nervously dry laugh. They all turned back to me with the same expressions they had when they heard Edward. "What are you?" the beautiful blonde I had learnt was named Rosalie asked.

Before I could respond, the growling and fighting slowly started to calm down below me. "Wha- Bella?" His voice was groggy and confused like he was just waking up. "You good now? If I get up, will you run back to the school?" He shook his head slowly and I got up. "Now I know you're all confused, And I did tell Edward I'd explain earlier. But I can't, I need to get back to school before my dad finds out I left and the bells are gonna ring shortly."

Before anyone could say anything I darted off back to the school. Since we were over half a mile away I'd never make it back in time if I just walked. I was about a minute away from getting back to the parking lot, not wanting anyone to see me running as fast as I was.

Before I could take a step, the Cullen family had caught up to me. "You're just not gonna tell us what the hell is going on?" Rosalie asked with a bit of bitterness to her voice. I didn't respond.

We made it to the doors of the school in complete silence. But just as I went to walk in Someone grabbed my arm, forcing me to turn to face them. "Bella-'' Jasper was about to start talking but I cut him off, "Jasper, you don't understand. I need to have this slip signed and in the office before the final bell rings." I could tell he was confused at how that could possibly be more important than this. If only they knew.

He let go of my arms and I continued into the school. Jasper and his family didn't come back in, which was good. Jasper couldn't risk getting in any more trouble. I walked into class, before the bell rang thankfully. "Mrs. swan, where have you been? And where is Jasper?" The principle said standing in the front of the class. "Sorry sir, the smell of blood really bothers Jasper so I helped him get outside for some fresh air." "Ah ok, would you like to get his stuff and bring it to him? I will excuse you from class and hand in all of your classes in as attended". I was relieved I wouldn't be needing to face Charlies anger at the fact I had missed a class. "Yes, thank you", I quickly grabbed mine and Jaspers stuff and went out to the parking lot once again.

I saw the entire family leaning on 2 cars, Emmett and Rosalie, who seemed to be in their own little world, were in a silver jeep. Alice and Edward were embracing each other while leaning against a silver Volvo, and there was Jasper. Just standing there alone, looking at the ground. I wouldn't have been surprised if they were waiting for me. My thought was confirmed when I saw them all instantly look up at me when I started walking over.

Once I finally reached them I handed Jaspers stuff over to him and quickly turned away to try and make it out of a conversation I did not want to have.

"Wait!" Jasper, "You cant have all of that happen and not give us answers" I stopped walking and stood stiffly for a few seconds with my back still turned to them. "I agree, I believe you promised me an explanation, with the entire family" I was hoping Edward would have forgotten that, but who was I kidding, he is a vampire after all.

I turned back to them letting out a sigh. "Look, when I say I can't, or at least cant right now. I mean it. I need to get home." They all stared at me blankly before Jasper spoke again. "Please come to our house tonight". I went to say something but jasper cut me off, "Please, I hope you can understand how confusing this is for us, I mean you're obviously not human. No human could drag a blood thirsty vampire away from human blood.", "Whatever the problem is, well figure something out. We need to do this." Alice spoke up taking a few steps towards me. I took my eyes off her and looked back at Jasper, who was looking at me with pleading eyes.

I guess the emotions of overwhelming sadness and fear that were splashing around in me like the ocean on a windy day from everything that had happened today was causing Jasper to worry. Because before I could answer Jasper had wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me into him for a hug. I hesitated for a moment before throwing my arms around his neck and holding him almost as tightly as he was holding me and just started crying.

I didn't realize how much tears I had been holding in for the past few minutes, but it was enough to cause a wet patch on Jasper's shirt from crying into his shoulder. His embrace felt so right. After what had felt like hours but had in reality probably only been a few minutes, he slowly pulled away looking me in the eyes.

He was towering over me so my neck was craned upwards to meet his eyes. All he said was please, and I nodded. I wasn't sure how this was gonna work out but I would figure it out. "I just need to drop Angela off at home and I'll come by." "Thank you," Edward and Alice said quickly before getting in the Volvo. Emmett and Rosalie had already gotten in the jeep without a word.

Jasper just looked at me and started to walk away. He climbed into the backseat of the Volvo and I made my way to the truck where I found Angela standing with Jessica Stanley "- yeah see you tomorrow" she said turning away from Angela and walking away. Angela turned around and finally noticed me standing there. "Oh Bella, are you ok?" she said with an overly worried voice giving me a hug, as always Angela was being her neutering self. "Yeah, I'm fine. Hey, look, I'm gonna drop you off and head over to the book store before Charlie gets back, there's something I'm missing for a class." "Ok, do you want me to come? I'd rather Charlie be mad at both of us rather than just you if he comes home early." "No, it's fine. I want you to check up on the girls and make sure they are fed before Charlie gets back. I'll be fine, let me deal with him."

Angela looked slightly worried but reluctantly agreed. We both got into the truck and set off towards home. This night was about to get very interesting.
