Chapter one

"The girl who lived, come to die." The voice haunted her very being. It had for centuries—Millennia really—if she were getting into specifics. That flash of green. The nebulous white space she could hardly recall. The vaguely familiar skeletal entity that had marked her for death and thrust an unwanted job on her shoulders.

"Fuck!" She cursed as her hand slipped at the loss of attention paid to the motionless humanoid being in the tank containing thick gelatinous matter.

Sticking her thumb in her mouth glaring off to the side, it seemed the lack of sleep was finally getting to her jamming her thumb between the lever to the tank and the metal surrounding it. The helper bots were under repairs with the bases most recent break-in attempt, by what was once known as the Red Ribbon Army or RRA as she preferred to call the band of annoyances. Leaving her to do things manually, sure she could have used magic but she preferred not relying too much on it. Doing things by hand or leaving it to her first robotic creations in this life. She had grown bored of her continued existence and opted on discovering new ways to occupy her time in this seemingly endless life of hers.

Sighing she rubbed her temples and slumped against the tank sliding down till she was sitting cross-legged on the cold hard metal floor of the subterranean lab, something she had acquired over a long period of time. Letting her head fall back against it. It seemed something important was trying to steal her attention away from her project. The flashbacks and voices had only ever occurred before important events, like the one that had led up to her current project. One she was determined to finish, even if the subject in question had previously been attempting to destroy this Earth...

A beeping noise caught her attention and she groaned rolling her eyes heavenward. The reflective surface of the lab ceiling, showed tired impossibly green eyes staring back down at her. Something she had inherited from her mother, she was told on a multitude of occasions throughout multiple timelines. Her black hair was tied back in a messy bun and her black-framed glasses were strewn haphazardly on her face adding to the overdramatic looking exhaustion that wore at the woman's mad scientist look. Where the scientist in question would spend every waking hour in a lab away from any nuisance distractions.

She slapped the infernal beeping device on her wrist and clawed her way back to her feet, sluggishly making her way over to the coffee machine she had installed in the lab pretty much as soon as she had moved in. Pressing a red button on the side of the machine, she closed her eyes and listened to the humming noise it produced as it worked away. A few minutes passed and a p-ting sound could be heard, rubbing her face the immortal scientist filled her mug with the black bitter substance that always hit her just right, letting it settle before taking a sip.

Resting her eyes on the tank on the other side of the mostly empty room. The subject had progressed at a sedate pace over the course of fifteen years. Fifteen years since the world had been threatened by the very being she was refabricating and monitoring a body for. A being whose soul she knew to be residing in Hell, the immortal loathed that place. But as a part of her job, she was to take periodic trips there when her subordinates were too busy being overloaded by the constant threats the mortal population of this Universe was under.

Most if not all revolve around a specific group of mortals she had been keeping an eye on. The one's who had prior to now, defeated her fifteen year-long recovering subject when they were active. They mostly seemed to be out of opponents but had recently met with this universes Destroyer Deity or God of Destruction and his attendant. On her mortal friends birthday no less.

Bulma Briefs and herself had met when she was working for the blunettes father. Though the woman had been a child at the time, along with her sister and she herself had been a cook but had shown interest in the logical and lexical semantics of science. Being overly bored with decades of the same yearning to change her life up a bit. They kept in touch and would go on the occasional pleasure trip, as women do when they need a break.

Her thoughts were interrupted by an effeminate mechanical voice that came from an earpiece she had just finished the process of reconstructing. She had much smaller much less significant projects laying haphazardly throughout the lab the earpiece being one of many. "My Lady Potter, it seems you have company, shall I let them in? A small group consisting of males has appeared. Should I take note of these anomalies as well, Lady Potter?" It inquired, with an achingly familiar accent that she could no longer place with her extended life.

Nothing was the same as it had been when she was mortal, the Earth had undergone many changes after it's destruction at the hands of the old magicals of her time. It had started renewing all life lost slowly but surely, she disliked watching the painstakingly slow evolution of lifeforms and had opted to spend her time in Other World or with beings as powerful as herself, while it passed growing to dislike that too. The humans were more advanced than they had been during her time, they were light year's ahead of the Wizarding kind in any case. She was grateful for that small mercy at least.

Placing her mug on a random bench with an irritated sigh lady Potter—Kami did she hate it when her own creations went out of their way to address her by title. She didn't even know how they came across that information, —waved a hand about herself and not even a blink later she was dressed in comfortable yet formal clothing. One perk of magic she appreciated and exploited.

"Alright, fine, just beam them in or something HEDWIG. Have one of the repaired helpers fix some refreshments in the lobby I'll be up in a tick, the Subject is due to awaken shortly do me a favour and keep me posted." Lady Potter ordered the voice as she put the earpiece in her ear.

The mechanical yet somehow effeminate voice replied affirmatively and the immortal scientist made her way to the lift. A short wait later and the scientist was on the first level just beneath the surface, stretching her arms and cracking her knuckles the petite scientist rounded a corner and entered the circular room that was the visitor's lobby. Unfortunately, she didn't have a receptionist to receive guests and was required to leave her studies and projects.

She eyed the pair with an expression of pure boredom. "What may I help you, gentlemen, with?" she inquired startling the group almost unnoticed by herself had she not become most observant from generations of observing everything she would have missed it.

The tall pale blue-skinned figure with long white hair and a matching blue ring around his neck almost reminiscent of angels halo though she supposed that was what Whis is, he smiled brightly at her his cheery tone disturbed her as it always did when she had to converse with the angels. Another thing she wasn't overly fond of unless it was Daishinkan or little Zen-man, as she liked to call her favourite immortal, she kept far away from the more irritating immortals. Though she supposed Shin and Whis were decent enough. She already had an opinion of the purple cat, Beerus and his brother were far out of the good pages of her book, for different reasons mind you. Beerus is lazy even daring to take a nap when little Zen-man was in the mood for, hide and seek, it had taken a lot of effort to calm the King God down and her opinion of the cat had soured much as the other GODs had. His brother Champa was just as lazy but twice as greedy as Beerus as well as disrespectful. Her eyes landed on the pair of lavender skinned Supreme Kaioshins and sneered at the older one. Oh, she had not forgotten him. Not at all. Before she could kick him out though, Shin the younger Supreme Kai diverted her attention with his adorable smile that brightened her gloomy day just a bit. The others were all mortal it seemed, and if she was correct all of them minus the pink talking wadd of gum, had a part in her Subjects current state.

She cocked her hip and crossed her arms a tired eyebrow raised as if to say 'well? What did you need?' "Lady Peverell, it is good to see you again! How long has it been? One century? No, no two? Maybe three?.." Whis trailed off and sweatdropped when all he received was a dry stare earning fearful and confused stares from the others not counting Beerus and the Kaioshins.

"I don't really remember, and to be frank... Whis... I'd rather not be reminded of my unfortunate condition of not dying. And it's Potter, not Peverell, I don't care what that old bag of bones tells you. Now do you need me to repeat myself or can you answer my question without the pleasantries?" Henrietta Anastasia Potter the immortal scientist with the power over Death itself questioned them rhetorically with narrowed eyes.

Beerus looked as if he was going to answer only to be elbowed harshly by Whis. Sending a side-eyed glare at his Attendant Beerus stayed silent and Henrietta gave them a false cheery grin voice laced with a sickenly sweet undertone as she clapped her hands loudly about to speak when to the abject horror of the others one of the mortals dressed in orange cut over the too of her earning her immediate ire.

"Hey lady! My names Goku we just wanted to know if... bmhmmb..." his words were muffled by the hands if his company who all retracted them when he licked their hands giving him a disgusted glower. "Hey what was that for you guys?!" The spikey-haired idiot whined grating on Henrietta's nerves.

"Kakarrot, just shut up!" the shorter human-looking man shouted at Goku, he glanced fearfully at Henrietta out of the corner of his eye. Turning to face her fully and bowing low in apology. "Ignore, him. He's an idiot," he said in a gruff tone.

"Hey! That's not very nice Vegeta." Goku whined and Henrietta's eye twitched garnering the attention of Beerus who swallowed audibly and tried to shut the two up before things got out of hand.

Thankfully Whis cut in "That's quite enough of that. We don't wish to intrude here longer than needed. I apologise my Lady Potter for their lack of manners they are Saiyans I'm sure you can understand." He said honestly after reprimanding said Saiyans.

Unfortunately, she has had the displeasure of meeting the nastier ones in Hell. Nodding solemnly at that she perked up a bit when she realised Goku had one of Zeno's buttons she created for him. Stepping towards him she motioned a hand and summoned the device into her awaiting hand fingering the device with a fond smile not noticing it rather not caring for the panicked looks on both the mortals and immortals faces.

"I made this you know." she started nonchalantly "It was for the Omni-King, to allow one to summon him or for them to be taken to him if he so desired. I had one made for my self as a prototype but never entrusted it to anyone. Most would abuse that power but I am glad to see that despite your lack of tact you have a good heart and know right from the wrong well enough. But be warned Saiyan, if I find that you have abused this gift, you won't make it to Other World. Am I clear?" her voice chilled them to the bone and Goku nodded rapidly along with the rest. Turning it over and examining her work before carelessly tossing it back at Goku who was speechless as he caught it and stuffed it back in his Gi.

Her stomach growled aloud and everyone froze not sure what to make of it and fearing reprisal. But instead of scowling she laughed and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly doing a whole 180 turn around personality. "Well, I guess we should eat, I'm starved and haven't had anything since... Actually, I don't remember the last time I ate please do join me... we can have introductions later." She said with a smile next to none of them trusted.

She was surprised to see that among the group was a Namekian though this one seemed to know her even if it wasn't personally... of course! It clicked in her mind and she recalled that the Namekians of old would combine their physical and mental states together in a time of need, requiring the consent of both parties. This must be the one who had merged with Kami. The one that had also desired something greater of the Earth, it was always the same with these villains destroy the planet or rule over it.

The human male with an afro and dark skin who stood next to Majin Buu, she knew well enough who he was and resisted the urge to eye-roll at him. Another fraud she could do without, she knew that it was the younger male between Mr Satan and that Goku person that had disintegrated her projects old form.

A form they were now able to change at will if her genetic coding was still up to scratch, of which she had no doubt. The cells had been rearranged so that his form was more Saiyan than Bug-Icejin, looking more humanoid than the being may want, but it would turn out beneficial in the long run they could switch back if they so wished but as a part of the reconstruction of the body it would remain as it was. She just hoped King Yemma wasn't too irritated with her tardiness with taking the soul off his hands. Henrietta heard he was a handful and then some. A grin graced her near angelic features one that sent shivers down the mortal's spines a feeling of unease overcame them as they introduced themselves.

Son Gohan was the one who had defeated the being in the tank, Goku was the one who went to and from Other World, Vegeta the Saiyan Prince, Piccolo the Namekian and clone of King Piccolo another being she held in contempt but this Piccolo wasn't the same. Mr Satan and his understudy, like she was going to buy that, Majin Buu. Whis, Beerus, Old Kai, and Shin. She may as well have invited everyone else she knew she scoffed internally this was going to be a long afternoon. She still needed to check on the project. This is why she didn't like having visitors.
