Hi guys. Sorry for not posting sooner but hopefully the next few chapters will keep you guys entertained. Thanks for waiting. X

Mike and Swaine looked at each other once they heard this. As they could hear everything going on up in the bridge, they could also hear anything that came through on the communicators.

"Who on earth is that?" Mike smiled.

"Someone that wants to help us hopefully." Swaine smiled back.

Mike smirked as they both carried on listening to the communicator. Like the crew on the bridge they had been waiting for rescue and now it looked like they were finally getting one.

Maxine and Marshall were also listening into everything that was going on. Even though they knew where the voice had come from, they still wanted to find out what would happen. Maxine was listening more closely than Marshall because of what they had been through the whole quarantine.

"At least they've got there." Marshall tried to calm her.

"Shush I can't hear what they're saying." Maxine persisted.

"But…" Marshall tried to say before Maxine waved off the conversation.

Marshall took a deep sigh in. He sat down across from Maxine and put his elbows on the desk. He hated waiting and just wanted to get through with things rather than waiting for everything to happen.

Maxine stared at the communicator waiting for the Hammersley to respond. Even though she didn't really know what was going and how much danger the bridge crew were actually in, she was sure they couldn't be in too much if Kate was in charge.

Jim was shocked to hear that voice. He looked around nervously to find out where it had come from. None of the crew had opened their mouths and none of them were standing so can't say anything more. Jim looked back at Kate with the gun lowered a bit more.

"What? Where? Who?" Jim shook.

Kate stood completely still. She didn't want to show anything towards Jim especially after all this. Whatever happened in the past didn't matter anymore!

The communicator then buzzed again for someone to pick it up. Jim waved his gun at Kate to answer it. Kate nodded and slowly went to pick it up.

"Lieutenant McGregor." She said.

"This is the captain of the Apollo. Stand down and surrender." A voice came through the other side.

Kate kept back a smile. She knew the captain well and knew he wouldn't have come alone. Jim stuck his nose up in the air. He knew it was over. There's no point in doing this anymore.

"Jim?" Kate asked, being a bit worried about the marine.

"It's all over isn't it?!" Jim shouted.

Kate nearly jumped out of her skin. She hated arguing or shouting and she thought it never helped a situation.

"Now calm down." RO said getting up from his seat where he and Charge were.

"RO stay out of this." Kate urged him.

Some clanking and crashing came from outside the ship. Most of the crew knew all too well what this sound was. Kate looked out of the front window to see at least twenty ships stood still. Kate couldn't keep the smile back anymore and smiled from ear to ear.

"How did they get here? They're supposed to be on land!" Jim cried.

"We have friends in high places." Kate smirked.

The communicator buzzed again. This time Jim didn't even have to signal before Kate was answering it. Jim lowered his gun even more so low it might as well have been on the ground.

"Lieutenant McGregor." Kate kept smiling.

"Kate, thank God." Maxine's happy voice came back sounding relieved.

"Commander White." Kate sighed also.

The rest of the crew kept an eye on Jim but also listened into the conversation Kate was having. Jim might not be as dangerous as he was before, but he could still pose a danger.

"Did the ships get to you?" Maxine continued.

"I think so. They haven't fired at least." Kate rolled her eyes.

"I'll speak to you when you get back. Please come back safely." Maxine pleaded before she ended the call.

Kate put the communicator down. She then looked out at the ships gathered. Of course Maxine put this together. She'd move earth and high water before giving up on them.

"Commander White sounds happy." Jim finally said.

"She should be." Kate hissed.

"You think you're in charge don't you?!" Jim hissed back.

Kate snapped back to look at him. This surprised her. She thought he was going to surrender to her but it definitely didn't sound like that.

"Ma'am." RO said in concern.

"What is it RO?" Jim and Kate asked in unison.

Jim and Kate looked at each other. They then turned back to RO to find out the answer. RO went to open his mouth to say something before telling them but just carried on with a glare from Bomber and Nav.

"We're getting a signal from Apollo." RO finally answered.

"What are they saying?" Jim asked before Kate could even breathe.

"They need to come aboard. They want a chat."

Jim laughed creepily. The whole bridge went back on edge. Jim's laugh sent shivers down everyone's spines about a million times.

"What was that for?" Nav shivered.

"You think you're going to get out of this one don't you?" Jim continued to laugh even louder.

"We have to do something sir." Swaine urged.

Mike rubbed his forehead with the back of his hand. The sweat coming from it was like some sort of glue. Wherever it seemed to go it just stuck. Swaine was getting worried about him but at the moment the bridge was even more concerning at the moment.

"Sir?" Swaine asked again.

"We can't just go up there and take control." Mike finally decided.

"The other ships aren't going to get here for a while." Swaine continued to plead.

Mike went silent. Swaine was right. If there was more trouble on the bridge and the Apollo couldn't get there in time then the whole ship would go to rack and ruin.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Maxine was now making her way to the docks where she had said about to Kate before. Marshall was going with her just in case there was any trouble. Even with the Apollo and most of the fleet out there the Hammersley might come in trouble.

"Hopefully they should be back soon." Marshall kept telling himself.

"The Apollo is strong; they can do this if Hammersley can't." Maxine told him time and time again.

They finally made their way out of the door. Maxine went first as Marshall didn't want to scare the Hammersley crew.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Swaine was now pacing around Mike's quarters. Mike was still sitting down and still thinking everything over.

"I'm going up." Swaine went towards the door.

"Swaine no!" Mike pulled him back.

Swaine hovered over the door knob. He then placed his hand down again and turned back into the room. He leaned against the door as he thought up different ways of dealing with the situation.

"I'm not saying we shouldn't do something just maybe we should think it through first." Mike told him.

"Is there any way we can contact Apollo?" Swaine asked.

"There might be but what would that do?" Mike asked, shrugging.

Swaine got the communicator in Mike's office. He then asked for the number of the Apollo. Mike gave him it and Swaine typed in the number. He then waited for the captain or another member of the bridge crew to answer.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

"Jim you're scaring us. Tell us what's going on." Kate begged the marine.

"The Apollo , you really think they're going to get past me?" Jim chuckled.

"Yes I do."

"Then you're all doomed."

"What? Why?"

"Because I have power over those ships as well."

Jim picked up his own communicator from his pocket. He then pressed the button on the top. Kate waited and waited. Nothing seemed to happen however. She shrugged as she looked around the bridge. Jim stared down at the communicator bemused.

"That should have worked!" Jim threw the communicator down on the floor.

"What was it for?" Kate asked to keep him busy.

"I'm not telling." Jim said in an almost childlike way.

Nav and Bomber stood up next to Kate when he had said this. This gave her a lot more support and Jim was getting more nervous. Then the bridge communicator rang again.

"What now?!" Jim shouted once again.

Kate stayed still. Nav this time picked the communicator up and answered it. She then passed it over to Kate to properly answer. Jim held the gun a bit higher at this point.

"Yes?" Kate asked worried about what Jim was going to do next.

"Kate it's Mike." Mike's voice came through.

Kate nearly started hyperventilating when he said this. It was so good to hear his voice again.

"Mike what is it and quickly." Kate urged him.

"How's it going up there?" Mike asked to kill time.

"Fine at the moment." Kate answered quickly.

There was then a silence on Mike's end of the phone. There was obviously something going on.

"Mike?" Kate asked.

"It's nothing. See you later." Mike ended the call.

Kate widened her eyes when he did this. Mike was never one to be so silent about something. What was he up to?
