The camera would turn on to Chris standing near the edge of the mountain where the ski lift dropped people off, still in his winter getup and holding his thermos. "Welcome back to Total Drama Frozen Firsts! Last time, we got to meet our cast and see how some are here for a fresh start, some for another meager attempt at the cash, and some who still have some hatchets to bury! Who will crumble under the ice cold pressure and bite the dust first? Find out right here, on Total, Drama, Frooooooozen Firsts!"

Intro Version 2:

The camera showed various other cameras popping out of random places, first a random blanket of snow, then a window of the ski lodge, and then a tree on a steep hill.

Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine

Chris was sitting on a ski lift with a tv clapper which he brought down and the camera soon panned past him as it went down the mountainside, showing Owen doing his best to stay on a pair of skis without any sticks to keep him balanced. A currently blacked out silhouette snickers and throws a snowball at him from behind while riding on a snowboard.

You guys are on my mind

Owen wipes out because of this and tumbles into Ezekiel, who was skiing down the hill just a bit ahead of Owen. The two of them soon begin to get stuck in a snowball formed from them rolling down the hill.

You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see

The snowball crashes into a tree, making Duncan laugh as he watched it happen. Dave and a silhouette were standing next to him, and gave him a glare, judging him for simply laughing. Duncan just continues to laugh though.

I wanna beeeee famous!

The laughter doesn't last long as the tree soon that Owen and Ezekiel crashed into lets out a bunch of snow which comes down on Duncan and Dave, although the silhouette person is missed. Beardo then walks up and mimics a sad violin.

I wanna live close to the sun

Beth and Lindsay are seen in the ski lodge after the camera pans away from the tree to the lodge, sitting in front of the fire while Alejandro talks to them, before he flashes a smile at the camera with a little sparkle sound effect playing to accompany it.

Go back your bags, 'cuz I've already won

Heather and a silhouette are watching Alejandro woo Beth and Lindsay from a table, and Heather soon puts her hands over her ears as Staci is soon shown to be chatting away and bugging her. The silhouette just zones out and focuses on the book in their hands.

Everything to prove nothing in my way, I'll get there one day

The camera pans out of the lodge to show Mike, Cameron, and Zoey snowboarding, although Cameron soon trips and falls off his snowboard. Mike is able to catch him and the three exchange sighs of relief. A silhouette is snowboarding just a bit ahead of them, just standing with their arms crossed.

'Cuz I wanna beeeee famous!

Geoff and Bridgette are on a ski lift above the trio, and they soon lean in for a kiss, but they miss and get their tongues stuck to the poles supporting the seat, to which they give each other worried looks.

Na na na nana nanananana nanananana

A silhouette person is walking through the woods taking notes when they stop thanks to a lump of snowing falling on them due to some motion above.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

Shawn, Jasmine, and a silhouette are climbing up a frosted tree and soon reach the top of the tree where they find Gwen hiding from Cody, who was also trying to climb up the tree.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

The five of their combined weight soon makes all the snow on tree come down, taking the five of them down with the snow and then onto the silhouette note taker below them. The shot then cuts to Sky and Lightning sitting on tree stumps in front of a campfire, smiling at each other, but Staci soon breaks the moment and pops up between them, starting to chatter while the camera pans out and shows the rest of the cast whistling, and the title of the season soon coming into view on a wooden plank.

Chris was now standing in front of the huddle where the currently 21 contestants were waiting for the host to tell them what to do next. "C-Chris... it's freezing out here! Can we go inside?" Beth asked, still shivering and drinking her hot chocolate.

The host pretended to think about it just to give more time for everyone else to be cold, before just nodding his head. "Fine, I'll show you guys around and get you all situated! Follow me!" Chris told them all, walking down the trail that led from the ski lift towards the main lodge.

Chris led everyone down a stone path that went through the snow, although the area itself didn't look very used. The snow itself was nice and flat currently, without any sign of footprints. To their right was a massive forest that Shawn had just ran through earlier, which Chris pointed to as they walked. "Here at the Iceanakwa Ski Resort, we spared no expense in making this place just as nice as any other ski resort! That forest right there used to be a wildlife reserve in fact, until we came in and built the resort of course." Chris introduced the forest, chuckling afterwards.

"What's so funny about that? Messing with a reserve isn't cool! Probably not even legal too." Bridgette asked him, miffed at his actions.

Chris stifled his chuckles, pulling out his tablet and showing pictures of various animals that lived up here in the mountains. For some reason, there was also a grizzly bear in the mix. "We actually brought in a whole bunch of our own animals for the forest! It's pretty viscous out there, so I'd stay out if I were you." Chris told them, evidenced by the wolves, bears, mean looking penguins, and other various animals that really had no place on this mountain.

Cameron rubbed his chin for a moment, before raising a finger in objection. "Penguins? No native species in this area is known to have penguins. Is this really logical to have them here?" he asked, but Chris just ignored him.

As they continued down the path, they soon walked past a branching path that led to several hills. "We've got a lot of typical resort attractions here, you've got your hills to go down, mountains to climb or also go down, trails to hike on, all of which I'm sure you'll come to have a distaste for in our challenges. Any questions?" Chris introduced the things they could do around the resort, to which Lindsay raised her hand.

"Good, no questions. Let's keep moving!" Chris ignored Lindsay and just continued to walk down the path. It took a moment for Lindsay to realize that Chris wasn't going to her answer her question, or even let her ask it, so she just followed the group in silence.

Ezekiel had his own question, and he just blurted it out unlike Lindsay. "Yo Chris, can we see where the winners are staying eh? Cuz' I ain't gonna stay anywhere but there!" Ezekiel asked, getting an eyeroll from some people around him.

Even Lightning could tell how ridiculous Ezekiel sounded. "Sha-please! You're always the one that gets sha-kicked off first, and you became some kind of monster cuz of it too!" Lightning pointed out, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Ezekiel.

"Hey! That was in the past eh!" Ezekiel refuted, turning around to face Lightning. "Besides, I ain't never gonna have that happen again! Never!" Ezekiel declared, putting his hands in his pockets with a confident smile afterwards.

Chris pulled up another screen on his tablet, now showing a picture of a grey fleshed humanoid creature with sharp fangs that very much resembled Ezekiel in his feral state. "Hold that thought Zeke, since it could very well happen to any of you actually. Legend has it, and probably why this property was so cheap, is that there are these creatures called Wendigos that eat people and you could turn into one if you get cursed! Scary stuff. Unlike what you went through Ezekiel, there is no cure either! It is just a legend, so nothing to worry about right?" Chris explained the legend, unsettling some.

Things were silent after that explanation, and Shawn looked the most unnerved. "T-They can turn you into one!? Like a zombie!?" Shawn asked, putting his hands on his head.

Staci was a little bit confused by Shawn's behavior, looking at him curiously. "Zombies? Those aren't real yah, just in movies and stuff. My great uncle George actually invented zombie movies yah. Before that, you had boring scary movies." Staci explained, which no one believed.

Chris nodded in response to Shawn's question, grinning at the zombie nut. "That's right. But like zombies, we don't know if they exist. Fingers crossed! They'd make for good ratings if they did." Chris shrugged, leaving things up in the air.

-Confessional: Shawn-

Shawn was sitting in what looked like a porta potty, a bit different from the usual outhouse. It was much nicer, with blue walls inside and air holes on top to better keep out the stink. It was still a toilet though, so it wasn't perfect. "I found the confessional on my first search when I got here, but now I gotta say, I don't know if I can do this if there are Wendigos here. They're kinda like zombies? Getting bit doesn't turn you into one, but you turn into one if eat human flesh at night. Wendigos are more likely to just run up to you and rip you apart than just bite you. Scary, but it beats becoming one of the undead!"

-End Confessional-

Chris led everyone down the path up until they reached the main massive lodge building, which vaguely resembled the McLean spa hotel from Total Drama All Stars. It was much bigger than it, which got many "Ooh"s and "Ah"s from the contestants as they looked over it. "This is the signature Iceanakwa Resort Lodge! It's got a lot to do inside it, but your rooms themselves will be pretty basic. Your belongings are being packed in there by our interns, so don't worry about unpacking. There will be plenty of rewards for the winning team of each challenge, which will be added to your room for your whole team to enjoy! So that's some extra incentive to win there! We'll probably show them off later, so we'll get back here later. Got a couple more things to show you all before we begin the challenge!" Chris introduced where they would be staying, it sounded so much nicer compared to what they had in previous seasons.

"Hold on, what's the catch?" Gwen asked, narrowing her eyes at Chris with suspicion. "There is no way there isn't some scheme you have prepared for us in order to get in there. Do the losers sleep in the cold or something?" she further questioned, making Chris let out a sigh as he saw her and the many faces of the others waiting for some rule or requirement to get into the lodge.

Chris shook his head, looking a bit more serious for a moment. "No catch. Look, the harsher treatment you guys got in the later seasons was due to the execs. I didn't have a say in all of that for the most part. This season will be more like the first few. Where you have to stay or if you'll eat won't be any of your concern. The execs probably saw the backlash, so they're letting me dial this season back a bit. There will still be some surprises, but none of your lives are at risk just being here. Except for the Wendigo thing if they're real." Chris explained their situation, which some refused to believe for a moment.

Cameron, Beth, and the other weaker contestants were pleased with this news though, smiling at Chris. "I am looking forward to what this season has to bring then. Assuming all of it is handled in a safe manner based on your words." Cameron said, to which Chris shook his head.

"I didn't say you were getting easy challenges. You're still going to have to work if you want that million dollars! Let's get a move on now so we can get to your first challenge and decide teams!" Chris was looking mainly at Cameron as he said this, making the bubble boy gulp nervously.

The group continued to walk down the path, with most of the contestants staying in a huddle with each other. "This, is your confessional for this season! It's a porta potty this time instead of an outhouse, since it fit the ski resort vibe more. It's a bit cleaner, heck, you might actually be able to use to go to the bathroom if the ones in the lodge are full. Except you Owen, please try not to stink it up okay big guy?" Chris pointed to a porta potty sitting in the snow with a small dirt path where snow had been shoveled out of the way branching from their stone path.

Owen looked a little embarrassed by the callout, seeing that eyes were moving to him. "Who me? Oh I would never! Hehe, that's a-" Owen couldn't help but let out a toot as he spoke, turning the huddle into a circle around him to get away from the smell. "That's a promise!" he tried to add, but his actions weren't helping his case.

-Confessional: Gwen-

"Soooo, here I am. This sucks. I just don't see how I could possibly get through this. At least Bridgette, Cam, Zoey, and Mike are here. But Duncan is here too. I hadn't seen him ever since we broke up and he got arrested. I'm already prepared to go home and be done with this show for good."

-Confessional: Sky-

"It's great to hear that we'll have somewhere to sleep this time! I don't know how things will be with Dave around though... I'll still play a fair game and do my best to win! If these challenges are winter sport themed, then I'll be a great asset to my team!"

-Confessional: Cody-

"Gwen is single, so am I, and Sierra isn't around to get in the way this time! I think I finally have a shot this season! Not at winning, no, those guys will crush me! If I can pull Gwen out of her slump, we'll finally have a shot!"

-Confessional: Staci-

"I know I was eliminated first the last time I was on the show, but I'm feeling really good at this one, yah. Like, I've come up with some strategies this time around. My great great great great great grandfather Benedict practically invented strategy. Yah, before him, people just wandered around aimlessly and just did random stuff."

-Confessional: Lightning-

"Lightning is going to the sha-top this season baby! I'm gonna run my team since there is no Jo to throw me off my game! Sha-yeaaaaah!"

-End Confessionals-

Chris led everyone down the stone path until they reached a part of the mountain that bridged out from the rest of it, with several tree stumps and oil barrels wedged in the ground serving as seats in front of a fire pit that was currently unlit. "This is the elimination ceremony area. The losing team will come here to vote someone off, as always. Safe campers will receive a marshmallow to roast over the fire, and the loser receives nothing! Except of course they have to take the Tube of Shame to be taken away from the lodge for good! Yes, you get a sorta painless exit out for once." Chris explained how elimination would work, relieving those from the Revenge and Pahkitew cast greatly.

Chris pulled out a white ticket from his pocket, showing a picture of his face on it. "When you vote, you'll punch the ticket of the person you want to eliminate. Pretty simple, but it shouldn't be tampered with either. Everyone got that? Anyone who tries to tamper with the voting will also be instantly eliminated, so don't pull a Harold and cheat." Chris warned sternly, to which most of the cast nodded in understanding.

Now that everything important had been introduced, Chris pulled up a new screen on his tablet and Chef now walked up to the group with three flags. "Here's how we're gonna do things. 3 teams, 9 members each! I'm gonna need some team captains. How about... Owen, Gwen, and Lightning!" Chris picked three people to be captains, which confused some with the number.

"Hate to break it to you Chris, but there's 21 of us here. That's only seven people to a team. Also why them?" Zoey pointed out, mostly wondering why Lightning got to be a captain.

Chris chuckled, and right on cue, the contestants could hear the mechanical whirring of the ski lift bringing someone up. "Oh yeah, forgot to mention this second ski lift. Takes you to the northern part of the resort. We'll be using it for some challenges. But right you are Zoey, I seem to be six short off of my count! Well that's because we brought in some of the most popular contestants from the series to join you all in the competition! We were gonna go with three, but the execs greenlit inviting three more." Chris answered her question, pointing to the ski lift that now brought someone down from the northern part of the resort where they had been waiting.

First to step off of the ski lift was a blonde cheerleader who quickly got Shawn and Jasmine excited to see. "First up, with 5,000 votes to her name, it's Samey! The wannabe Amy!" Chris introduced her, which annoyed her to be called that. She was wearing a red and white striped sweater and red snow pants, keeping up the color scheme of her cheerleader outfit.

"Amy isn't even here, can we just call me Sammy please?" Sammy asked, letting out a sigh of disappointment afterwards.

Chris shrugged, giving a wave of dismissal. "Up to the others, but Samey has a nice ring to it. It's either that or Sparemy." Chris told her, just bothering the twin even more.

Jasmine walked up to Sammy and put a hand on her shoulder, giving her an warm smile. "Don't let him get to ya mate. I'm sure everyone will call ya Sammy." Jasmine assured her, which brought Sammy's spirits up enough just by simply having Jasmine here.

-Confessional: Sammy-

"Wow... so I was the person people most voted for? That's a lot, thank you everyone! As long as Amy isn't here, I think this season could be a lot of fun! With Jasmine and Shawn having my back, I could make a lot of friends, or even win!"

-End Confessional-

The next ski lift brought a bookworm who clearly didn't want to be here. He had a red jacket on with his usual cardigan underneath, although now he had black jeans on instead of shorts. "Here is Noah everyone, with 4,003 votes to his name! I heard he's popular since he's soooooo relatable and sooooo funny." Chris introduced Noah, who was just ignoring him and reading a book in his hands.

"That's because he is! I'm so glad to have my little buddy here!" Owen missed the sarcasm and just hugged Noah, making him drop his book.

Noah gasped for air as he was hugged, before just pushing himself out of Owen's hold. "Dude. What did I say about the hugs? It would be pretty nice if I could breathe out here." Noah chided him, before reaching down and picking his book back up.

Owen rubbed the back of his head sheepishly at Noah's words, still smiling at him. "Sorry. Just so glad to see you! I'm gonna be a captain, so you're definitely going on my team!" he responded, still just as joyous as before.

Cameron walked up to the two and waved at them, to which Noah just gave one quick nod back. "Hello Noah, I've heard a lot about you! Excellent sarcastic comment there, pointing out that you would like to breathe. Since Owen was probably making that really difficult." Cameron complimented the joke, laughing afterwards.

Noah looked up from his book at the compliment, having a blank expression on his face. "Yep... kinda what I was going for. Thanks for the explaining the joke." Noah thanked him sarcastically, before just going back to reading.

-Confessional: Noah-

Noah had his book in his right hand, just bookmarked by one finger inside. "Am I here to win? Eh, probably. I'm not in the mood to break a leg over this show though. I've got Emma, who may I add is the best lawyer in pretty much all of Canada now. Don't really need the money, don't really need to win. If I get voted out, yeah that's cool."

-End Confessional-

Coming down next from the ski lift was someone that more surprised the others to be here. "What? Seriously? She was a fan favorite?" Duncan asked in disbelief, one hand on his forehead as he comprehended this contestant being here.

"That's right, I'm back!" it was Eva, who was wearing pretty much the same outfit, just with gray leg warmers and a blue track jacket. "I'm here to kick butt this time too, and apparently the fans want to see me do the same." Eva announced her arrival aggressively, marching over to the cast.

Chris nodded his head to Duncan, turning his tablet and showing him the list. Eva sat right under Noah with 4002 votes according to the tablet. "Yup, I guess some of the fans are as sadistic as the execs! But here Eva is! Not that she'll last long probably, but she's here anyway!" Chris enjoyed seeing her here greatly, while only the athletes in the group weren't bothered by her.

Sky approached Eva first, holding her hand out to shake. "Hello, I'm Sky. I look forward to competing with or against you this season." she greeted formally, to which she got a scowl from Eva didn't get a handshake back as the female bully blanked her.

Eva instead marched right up to Bridgette, who right away went into panic mode seeing her. "So this low life backstabbing traitor is here too? Makes sense, since she's a loser, and will only BE a loser!" Eva confronted her, angering Geoff who stood in front of his girlfriend.

"No one talks to Bridge like that, that's not cool brah!" Geoff confronted her, although Eva couldn't care at all what he thought.

"Go kiss up a flagpole! Oh wait, your slut of a girlfriend beat you to that when she was busy cheating on you!" Eva insulted the both of them, ticking the surfer couple off even more.

The argument was quickly interrupted by someone else that everyone had missed showing up. "Now now... there is no need for such early strife. Eva, your aura is a bright red, don't let your anger consume you." Dawn told her, now standing between Eva and Geoff.

Eva and Geoff were confused to see her here, and they hadn't even met her before either. "Whatever. She's still going down to be the bottom of this damned mountain, mark my words!" Eva threatened, before storming off away from the huddled contestants and standing on her own.

Once she stormed away, Bridgette sighed with relief and smile at Dawn. "Thank you, I was worried she wasn't going to let up at all there. She's pretty violent." Bridgette thanked her, putting her hands in her pockets.

Dawn smiled back, giving a small wave. "It is no problem to me. I believe that her harsh nature is due to a need to impress others." Dawn stated, before turning around also walking away to stand on her own.

Chris was baffled to see Dawn already here, but she was next on the list anyway with 4001 votes to her name. "Well there is Dawn everyone! No surprise that she's here. I'm just surprised the other three beat her out in votes. She's going to get robbed again, I can just feel it. I'll let the execs have their heads put on pikes for that one though. Ain't my fault!" Chris introduced Dawn, pointing at the Moonchild who appeared to be sitting down and meditating. She was wearing her normal outfit without any changes whatsoever.

-Confessional: Eva-

"There are plenty of Killer Bass twerps here. They will be going down. One. by. one."

-Confessional: Dawn-

"I will take this time to thank you all for voting for me and allowing me this chance to participate in this season. I will win for Mother Earth, I swear it. Perhaps I can guide some lost souls here as well. I sensed some very stressed auras in Dave and Gwen in particular."

-End Confessionals-

The next ski lift brought up a dirt farmer that gave a mixed bag of reactions. Those from the original cast were fine with him, those from the Revenge cast despises, and those from the Pahkitew cast were neutral on him, since they hadn't met before. "Hey all, Scott's here!" Chris introduced Scott, to which Cody chuckled.

Scott stepped off the ski lift, wearing his normal outfit, with the addition of a poorly put together leather jacket. His pappy wasn't known for his sewing needless to say. "I got 4th the first time, 3rd last time, now I'm here to make it to the finale. Heh, that'll be easy." Scott said confidently.

"And place 2nd? That would be the next step in that order." Dawn pointed out quickly, speaking in a harsh tone she reserved only for Scott and oil tycoons.

Scott rolled his eyes and ignored her, walking over to the huddle. "You guys have got a good thing going here. Keeps you nice and warm to surround yourself with other people who are cold. Weird how that works. I ain't complaining though." Scott said, hugging himself as he joined the huddle to stay warm.

Mike wasn't the biggest fan of Scott being here, so he walked up to Chris and tried to look at the tablet. "How many votes did Scott get by chance? Was it 4000 again?" Mike asked, so Chris scrolled down one person and showed that Scott did indeed have 4000 votes exact.

"Yup, he got 4000 votes exactly. Everyone else below him got 3000 votes or lower, so they didn't make the cut." Chris told him, which confused some again.

Dave did a quick headcount before looking back at Chris. "That makes 26 of us. Who is the last one then if they didn't make the cut?" he asked, prompting Chris to snicker as the last ski lift bench came down.

-Confessional: Scott-

"We've got three teams this time, so I might not be able to sabotage mine to pieces if I want to get to coast in the merge. Some of the poor saps here are still salty I got 'em kicked off even if it was years ago, so they're gonna have to be the first ones that go."

-End Confessional-

The last ski lift brought down another redhead, with her hair back in a bun and her large glasses back on. She was wearing a lime green parka and black snow pants, and was already analyzing the group in front of her. "Hello all. I see you are bringing your bodies together in an attempt to bring yourselves to a temperature more suitable for this altitude and weather." Scarlett greeted them, walking over the huddle and standing with them. Sky, Shawn, and Jasmine were concerned by her being here, but none of the others seemed to mind. Mostly since barely any of them had watched Pahkitew Island.

"She's a fan favorite? Mate, are they out of their minds? Actually, they did vote for that brutish Sheila in blue over there, so I wouldn't be surprised. I thought she wasn't allowed to be on the show ever again though." Jasmine asked Chris, who wasn't the happiest with her being here.

Chris shook his head, pulling up his tablet and swiping all the way down to reveal that Scarlett had zero votes. "Scarlett here had the least support of any contestant. So the execs said to throw her in. Instead of just going down the list. It makes it even too. Noah and Eva from the original cast, Dawn and Scott from Revenge, then Samey and Scarlett from Pahkitew. She's here now, so deal with it. Like Ezekiel and Dakota, we forced her to undergo therapy, so she should be more uhh... tame. Yeah." Chris explained why Scarlett was here, which lessened Jasmine, Sky, and Shawn's worries a little.

-Confessional: Scarlett-

Scarlett adjusted her glasses, appearing to be inspecting the camera. She stopped after a few seconds and sat upright, facing the camera formally. "By legal obligation according to my contract, I am require to compete in this season. Considering the conditions of our accommodations and how overall exquisite the inner and outer plexus of this establishment appears to be, I can put my focus on winning. A few years have passed since my 'meltdown', so I do hope my previous competitors can pardon my past behavior."

-End Confessional-

Now that all 27 contestants were present and accounted for, Chris took the three flags from Chef, raising them in the air. "Alright captains, get over here! It's team picking time!" Chris announced, prompting Owen, Gwen, and Lightning to walk over, although Lightning jogged over to Chris's side.

"Hold up, why does lame-ning get to be a captain?" Scott asked, glaring at the jock. "Why not just make the teams random? They're all just gonna pick their friends anyway." Scott added, stepping forward.

Chris shrugged, opening the tier list maker for Total Drama and getting ready to sort the contestants into teams the easy way once they were picked. "Because, Owen and Gwen were our first finalists. Kinda the theme of the season. Lightning also has constantly said he wants to be team captain, soooo yeah. That's why." Chris answered, not having a big long explanation as to why.

Scott scoffed, but he didn't object any further. "Whatever. These teams are gonna be super boring though." Scott muttered, now just waiting to see what team he would end up on.

"So here's how this is going to go! We're doing this school dodgeball style. Boy, girl, boy, girl, and so on. So Owen and Lightning would first pick a girl, and Gwen would first pick a boy. Cool? Cool. Owen, you're up first my man." Chris explained the team selection, before patting Owen on the back.

Owen looked over the girls nervous, not liking the pressure of having to pick one first. "I... umm... I can't decide! I don't wanna hurt any of their feelings!" Owen stammered, starting to sweat. He covered his eyes, avoiding eye contact with them. "I'll take... Eva! Yeah!" Owen decided with his eyes closed.

"Good choice." Eva said coldly, walking over to Owen and standing next to him. Each of the team captains stood about 8 feet apart from each other, so there was plenty of room for three huddles to form.

Chris began to sort the teams on his tablet, dragging Eva's picture next to Owen. "Interesting choice. Who are you gonna pick Gwen? Duncan?" Chris teased, making her glare at him.

Gwen didn't dignify his question with a response, instead looking over the cast and coming up with an answer quickly. "I'll take Cam." she chose bluntly, to which the bubble boy happily ran over to her.

The two smiled at each other, so Lightning pretended the gag. "Enough with the friendship stuff! Lightning is gonna make the strongest team here! Who thinks they're good enough for the Lightning? Step forward!" he demanded, smiling smugly at the contestants.

Only Sky stepped forward, raising her hand. "I can help! If this is supposed to be an athletic team, then I would be a good fit!" Sky responded enthusiastically, catching Lightning's attention.

"Sounds good! You're on the Lightning Squad shorty!" Lightning called to her, so Sky jogged over to his side.

-Confessional: Sky-

"Yes! I got on a team where I'll get along great with the captain! Lightning doesn't seem like the brightest, but I'm sure we'll get along great! I kinda admire his strength to be honest. Maybe we could form an orderly alliance?"

-Confessional: Gwen-

"It may be boring like Scott said, but I'm picking the friends I have here. Plus some fodder in case we lose. Owen is probably doing the same, minus the fodder part. He's too soft for that."

-End Confessionals-

It was Owen's turn to pick again, and his choice was pretty much instantaneous. "I pick Noah!" he declared, although the bookworm was already walking over to his team before he even said his name.

Gwen watched Noah walked over, chuckling. "That's not a surprise at all. I'll go with Bridgette." Gwen said, not much of a surprise either. Bridgette smiled and walked over to Gwen's team, the two of them fist bumping once she was close.

Lightning looked over the contestants, trying to decide who was the most athletic. "You! Zombie dude, you're on my team!" he called to Shawn, who got very upset over that nickname.

Shawn walked over next to Sky, looking over at Lightning. "I have a name. It's Shawn." Shawn introduced himself to Lightning, but the jock was practically ignoring him.

"Yeah, Shaw, just help the team and we're cool Shaw." Lightning got close, which was good enough for Shawn.

The pressure was back on Owen as he had to pick another female, still unsure of himself. "Lindsay is my friend, so I'll take Lindsay! She's just my friend of course, I don't like ladies. Ack, I just meant-" Owen began to ramble, but Noah put one hand over his mouth.

Lindsay walked over to them, waving at the trio. "Hiiiii! So this is my team right? Is Tyden here?" she asked, making Noah facepalm at her stupidity.

"No. Tyler isn't even in this season." Noah answered bluntly, to which Lindsay frowned and just stood beside Owen.

"Oh... okay. Well maybe he'll show up later!" Lindsay tried to be optimistic about it, which Noah didn't shoot down since he mostly didn't care.

Gwen didn't even have to look over the huddle to decide who she was taking next. "I've got Mike." Gwen chose, so Mike walked over with delight to be joining this team. He high fived Cameron, although it apparently hurt the bubble boy greatly to high five, as he clutched his hand afterwards.

Mike gave Gwen a thumbs up as he stood next to Cameron, smiling at her. "Thanks Gwen, and I'll be me the whole time, I promise that. But if my personalities come back, try to come on eye on them for me and keep them from taking things too far? Cam and Zoey know how they work a bunch too, so we should be fine." Mike told her, looking somewhat confident in his words.

"Of course. That's what friends are for after all." Gwen told him, while Duncan just watched them with mild anger.

-Confessional: Duncan-

"Seriously? She's going to pick all of those people? But not me? I mean, I know we broke up, but wow. She moves on fast. Not that I care."

-End Confessional-

Lightning was looking over the contestants available, mostly just trying to see whose bodies were the most fit for his team. Shawn leaned over, pointing at Jasmine. "I'd so go with her. She's pretty tall and strong." Shawn told him, which of course was all Lightning needed to hear.

Lightning pointed at Jasmine, then motioned for her to join them. "Tall girl, get over here! You're on Lightning's sha-team!" he called to Jasmine, who would have been annoyed with that kind of attitude if it weren't for Shawn being on the team.

Jasmine walked over, and Shawn winked at her. She winked right back, nudging his shoulder with her elbow. "We've got a pretty fit squad here if I don't say so myself. I think we've got all the muscle we need now." Jasmine stated, since they now had four members who were all very fit.

Lightning shook his head, looking up at Jasmine. "Sha-please, we're gonna get all the muscle we can get! If we take all of the strong dudes, then the other teams ain't gonna have any strong ones!" Lightning responded, shocking the survivalist duo that he had an actual plan here.

"That actually... makes sense. Huh. Well I guess we've got some smarts in the group already too. So we can just keep taking the good players I suppose." Shawn said, shrugging and just letting Lightning take command now that he got Jasmine on the same team as him.

Owen was looking over the dudes for his next pick, and it didn't take very long for him to choose. "Duncan! Get over here dude!" Owen called to the punk, who walked over without a word.

Noah chuckled as Duncan walked over, poking his shoulder. "What's the matter tough guy? Sad your girlfriend is on the other team?" Noah mocked Duncan, earning him a scowl.

"Shut it." was all Duncan told him, which Noah did. Not that he was scared, he just wanted to get back to his book.

Gwen once again already knew exactly who she was picking, as did pretty much everyone else on the team. "Zoey." she said her name, and the redhead hurried over to the huddle, waving at everyone there.

Bridgette held her hand out to shake, which Zoey took. "Looks like we're on the same team. I'm Bridgette in case you didn't know, I've been Gwen's friend for years, so I look forward to getting to know you all!" Bridgette introduced herself with a friendly smile.

Zoey smiled back, before just giving Bridgette a hug. "It's great to meet another friend! I'm sure we'll get along just wonderfully!" Zoey greeted Bridgette back with plenty of optimism.

Bridgette looked at Gwen once she and Zoey were done hugging, nodding over in Geoff's direction. "Can we get Geoff next? I really don't think I'd do well if I was on a different team than him." Bridgette asked her, waving at him.

Geoff waved back, and Gwen giggled at their love. "You got it. Not many other guys here we need on the team anyway." she answered, not having a problem with keeping the couple on the same team.

Lightning overheard this though, and pointed at Geoff. "We're taking Geoff! You're on the Lightning Team, sha-boom!" Lightning declared, then striking pose and smirking at Gwen's team. Bridgette gasped as this happened, while Gwen glared at him.

-Confessional: Gwen-

"Why does that dork have to use his brain only when it means it screws people over? Seriously not cool Lightning."

-Confessional: Bridgette-

"This is so not cool! First Eva comes back, then me and Geoffy are put on different teams! Not to be mean, but I barely know the people on my team besides Gwen! I hope Geoff does fine, maybe I could ask to switch teams?" Just as Bridgette asked this, a speaker came on in the confessional from Chris.

"Just a friendly reminder, all team placements are permanent! No takebacksies!" Chris announced, just to rub salt in the wound.

-Confessional: Lightning-

"That's how Lightning gets it done! They were gonna play their friendship game, but then sha-bam! Lightning struck!"

-End Confessionals-

Geoff walked over to Lightning's team while Bridgette watched him go over solemnly. Things were back on Owen to pick, and he was not good with picking girls. "Ooh Owen! Pick Beth!" Lindsay told him, pointing at her bestie.

Owen sighed with relief, glad that one of the girl decisions was off his back. "Yes! We'll take Beth!" Owen exclaimed, to which Beth came running over and hugged Lindsay.

"Eeeeeee! We're the on the same team Lindsay! This is the best!" Beth cried out in joy, hopping up and down in excitement with Lindsay now that they were together.

Gwen now finally had trouble coming up with who to choose, although Cody had been waving at her this entire time eagerly. Compared to the other guys, he was her best option. "Alright... we'll take Cody." Gwen didn't even get to finish saying his name, as the geek came darting over to their team.

"Hi Gwen! Thanks for picking me!" he thanked her gratefully, as if he had just won the lottery by being on her team.

Gwen rolled her eyes at how blatantly obvious his simpery was. "Yeah, no problem..." she replied, not wanting to sound too excited and get his hopes up.

Lightning was looking over the girls that were currently still available, annoyed that all of the very athletic girls were gone. "Hmm... we've got a fatty and a bunch of twigs. Uh, you! You're a cheerleader or something right? Well you're on Team Lightning now!" Lightning called Sammy over, seeing her as the least useless of the girls left. Sky and Jasmine weren't a fan of how he described who was left, but at least he chose Sammy over them.

Sammy waved at those from Pahkitew, then also receiving a high five from Geoff. "Welcome to the party brah! We're gonna rock the challenges together!" Geoff welcomed her, with Lightning being the only one who wasn't all that enthusiastic about Sammy joining them.

"This is nice, we're all on the same team Jasmine! It'll be like old times, although I don't think we'll be able to go foraging out here." Sammy greeted Jasmine, giving her a quick hug.

Jasmine ruffled up her friend's hair a little, glad to have her with them. "You got that right mate. We'll find some fun out here still I'm sure." Jasmine replied, now looking over at the remaining options to see who they could get on their team.

-Confessional: Jasmine-

"Our team is pretty set. We've got mine and Shawn's survival skills, Sammy has got a lot of fight in her, which I think I'll be able to bring out. That party boy Geoff seems decently strong, but his girlfriend is on the other team. Won't be much of a threat. Lightning is some pretty strong jock, so I think we can rely on him. Sky is super athletic too, and she's a fair fighter, which I always respect. Overall, you could cut off our team right there and we'd be set!"

-End Confessional-

Chris looked over the teams so far, and faked a yawn afterwards. "Booooring, you're all picking people you like! Time to spice things up! Owen, you get Scott! Gwen, you get Heather! Lightning, you've got Dave!" Chris picked the next members for the teams, instilling some dread in some people at hearing these announcements.

Scott was the least problematic choice surprisingly, since no one else there had a problem with him. "Sup chums. Looks like I'm on your team now." Scott greeted them, doing a two finger wave from his head.

Duncan did the same wave right back, Noah was still in his book, and the others just stared awkwardly at him. "Well, nice to meet you Scott! Maybe we'll be friends!" Beth greeted him after some silence in the team, but Scott just smirked at her friendly greeting.

"That ain't gonna work sweetie. I'm here to win, not to make friends." Scott told her, snickering as he watched Beth's cheery expression fade.

Heather walked over to Gwen's team, and received plenty of unwelcoming looks. "Heather." Gwen greeted her coldly, narrowing her eyes at her.

Heather scoffed at this greeting, walking past the team huddle. "Whatever Gwen, don't think you're getting rid of me easily. Best keep to your friends and your tea party." Heather warned her, not all afraid of her clear disadvantage being on this team.

Dave slowly walked over to Lightning's team, and the jock was disappointed to seem him here. "Aww come on! We got a nerd! That's not gonna help us!" Lightning complained.

Dave didn't say anything to him, instead just putting his hands in his pockets and zoning out depressingly, not even daring to look at his teammates, lest his eyes come across Sky.

Chris watched the three of them join their teams, smirking at the tension building for Heather and Dave. "Perfect! Just what we need on Total Drama! Drama! Alrighty Owen, you're up. Pick another girl." Chris told Owen, making him groan.

"Does it have to be another girl? Umm... I'll take one I don't know, yeah! Scarlett!" Owen called out to the brainiac, who soon walked over to join their team.

Scarlett adjusted her glasses before looking over the bunch. "Very well, this team is invested extensively in some areas, while being lackluster in others. I am certain we will be able to excel in our challenges if we can outplay the other team." Scarlett greeted them, thinking purely on strategy.

-Confessional: Scarlett-

Scarlett had a notepad in her hands, with extensive notes on each of her teammates. "This team is very inadequate in the knowledge department. Noah is the closest to an intellectual their team has. Owen, Lindsay, and Beth are more on the useless side, but I am aware that Owen's gut can prove to be quite helpful in challenges. I am not the leader however, so I will do what I can to assist my team."

-End Confessional-

Gwen was no longer looking for people to have for the sake of her team, now looking for fodder to join Heather. Of the three guys she could choose still, there was Beardo, Alejandro, and Ezekiel. The answer was quite clear. "Alejandro. We'll take him." Gwen said, making the charmer raise an eyebrow walk over to them.

"Did you simply choose me for my looks mi amiga?" Alejandro asked her, standing with the team.

Zoey shrugged, not actually that opposed to Alejandro thanks to his attempts to stop Mal back in All-Stars. "You've helped us in the past, why not have you on the team?" Zoey responded, unaware of why Gwen actually chose him.

Lightning looked at the two girls available to him, annoyed that neither were really that fit. "Ugh... we'll take the fat one! You've gotta be at least a little strong!" Lightning chose Staci, which just relieved Staci that she wasn't the last one picked.

"My name is Staci, and yah, I can carry stuff. My great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great-" Staci began to go off on one of her lies, but she was cut off by Noah who heard her while reading.

"Are you really trying to say that Adam from the story of Adam and Eve invented carrying stuff and that he is one of your relatives?" Noah asked her, looking up from his book.

Staci blushed in embarrassment that she had been called out like that, looking at the others on her team. "Uh, yah? We're all related to him, so I can say that right?" Staci tried to downplay her lie now, but the callout had already settled in.

It was back to Owen now, and he just had two options. "Uh, we'll take Beardo! His music is good after all, and his noises could help!" Owen declared, pointing at the beatboxer.

Beardo pretended to shift gears in a car and walked over to them. He then made the sound of a train whistle, smiling at his new team. "Welcome dude! We've got a great team here!" Owen welcomed Beardo, soon pulling him into a hug. Due to the beatboxer's size, it wasn't actually that bad.

Now that left the other two contestants still not on a team set to their teams. Dawn walked over to Gwen's, giving a small wave at them. Zoey waved back at her, giving a friendly smile. "Hi Dawn! We were going to pick you sooner, but Chris forced Heather on us." Zoey greeted her, pointing at Heather with her thumb.

"No need to worry, I am thankful to have been guided to this team. May Mother Earth watch over us." Dawn closed her eyes, looking like she was praying now.

Everyone outside of the Revenge cast were a little offput by her behavior, but they still liked her more than Alejandro or Heather. "Well I'd say we've got a nice team here! We're mostly one big friend group! How about that!" Mike commented, liking the team he was in.

Ezekiel jogged over to Lightning's team, looking excited to be here. "Thanks for choosing me eh! Not last!" Ezekiel thanked Lightning, making Dave facepalm.

"You weren't chosen. You were the last one." Dave reminded Ezekiel, shooting down his moment quickly.

-Confessional: Dave-

"Is it too early to just hop in that Tube of Shame and just leave? I'm on a team I don't belong on in a game that I don't deserve to be in. Sky is on it too..."

-Confessional: Ezekiel-

"Sure I was the last picked, but hey, slow and steady wins the race eh! Unless you're a dog trying to outrun a coyote. That one uh, didn't go too well. Ma ran over the coyote with her truck after that, so uhh... the truck wins the race? Oh wait, I'm the truck here eh!"

-End Confessionals-

Now that all of the contestants had been sorted into their teams, Chris brought over the three flags, handing a green one to Owen, a red one to Gwen, and a blue one to Lightning. "Alright Owen, you can show off your flag, since you guys are the Screaming Wolves!" Chris told Owen, prompting him to unroll it and show off the green flag with an image of a wolf howling looking up in a lighter green circle.

"Woahhh! We're the wolves! Awoo!" Owen tried to imitate a wolf, but Beardo soon did the same, perfectly mimicking the sound of a wolf.

Gwen unrolled her flag before Chris told her to, revealing the red flag with an angry looking narwhal on it. "Lemme guess, the Killer Narwhals?" Gwen asked him, since the green team held the Screaming label.

Chris nodded, looking annoyed that she had taken the announcement from him. "Yes Gwen, take away my hosting again and you're losing your captain privileges." Chris threatened her, now moving on to Lightning's team.

"Captain privileges? What are those?" Gwen asked him, half glad to have something besides the title, but also half worried that it was going to be something that would come back and bite her.

Chris didn't answer her question, instead walking in front of Lightning. "Alright Lightning, you can roll down your flag now!" Chris instructed, so the jock quickly did so and looked disappointed by the design.

On the blue flag was a penguin running with a comical puff of air behind it as if the penguin was running really fast. "Sha-what? We're those waddling penguinis? As if!" Lightning complained, shoving the flag into Staci's hands who nearly fell over from the force.

Chris wagged a finger at him, pointing at the speedy penguin drawing. "Not just any penguins! You guys are the uber fast Lightning Penguins!" Chris announced, since the team had plenty of fit people on it.

That changed Lightning's tone quickly, snatching the flag back and pushing Staci down. "Sha-sweet! We're Team Lightning after all!" Lightning exclaimed, pumping his fist into the air while holding the flag with the other.

Chris nodded, looking forward to what this ego boost would do for Lightning. "That's right Lightning, and as your team captain, you get two votes to use in every elimination, where as every other member only gets one. Same goes for you Gwen and Owen. That's your captain privilege, but try not to get too power hungry, since you can still get voted off even with that." Chris told everyone, shocking some. The captains themselves had problems with it though.

-Confessional: Owen-

"So I'm a captain, and I get two votes? Haha, that's awesome! I'll probably just let Noah decide that stuff though, he's the smart one of us. I'm just so psyched to be on a team with my little buddy again!"

-Confessional: Gwen-

"Well I have two votes, just one more extra vote against Heather when the time comes. I already know what I'm doing and who on our team is going first when we lose. Heather, Alejandro, Cody, and then Dawn. After that, well, we'll cross the bridge when we get there. Not looking forward to that."

-Confessional: Lightning-

"Lightning has got a team named after himself, so you can bet Lightning is gonna be running it! We'll ditch the wimps and then dominate the game! Sha-yeah, this team is going all the way to the super bowl!"

-End Confessional-

All of the team matters had been squared away, so Chris motioned for everyone to follow him. "Now that we got you all in teams, it's challenge time! That's right! And what better first challenge would there be than skiing down a hill at a ski resort? Follow me, and I'll explain the rest there." Chris announced, now starting to walk down the path they came from and away from the elimination area.

With the Wolves, everyone just walked in silence as everyone besides Owen and Noah were looking at their teammates with some form of tension building up. "Uhh, go team?" Beth broke the silence, but now wasn't really the time to try and get everyone pumped.

Owen nudged Noah's shoulder, taking the boy's attention away from his book. "Hey, how do you think this challenge is going to go? I bet it's gonna be super fun! We're going skiing!" Owen asked his friend, who just shrugged.

"Don't know, don't really care either. Just let me read, got to a good chapter here." Noah replied, walking a bit ahead of Owen now.

Owen was confused at Noah's lack of care, which was greater than usual. "Huh? Little buddy?" Owen called to his friend, walking a little faster to keep up with him.

With the Narwhals, the friend group of Gwen, Bridgette, Cameron, Zoey, and Mike were all walking and chatting away, with Cody walking closely behind and watching with jealousy. Dawn walked up next to him at some point, seeing how upset he was. "Hmm... your aura is green with smudges of orange. I sense some jealousy. Did you have a relationship in the past with one of them?" Dawn asked him, gesturing to the friend group.

Cody shoved his hands in his pockets and looked at the ground, shaking his head. "No... but I wish there was. That'd have been better than just going after a girl who keeps passing you up time and time again. I don't get what I'm doing wrong." Cody answered her, venting a little.

Dawn put one hand on his shoulder to comfort him after hearing this. "You are trying to rush things I'm afraid. It can make your love interest uncomfortable to be around you if all you wish to do is get in a relationship. I would be more patient." Dawn advised, before walking ahead of him. Cody thought about her advice now, looking back over at Gwen.

The Penguins were getting along nicely, although it was clear there were those who really weren't welcome on the team. Dave stuck to the back, walking by himself, with Staci just a bit ahead of him. Cody saw Dave walking alone and stepped closer to him. "Hey, you've been just chilling by yourself this whole time. What's wrong dude?" Cody asked him,

Dave took a deep breath and sighed, before looking at Cody. "Nothing you'd get. Sky turned me down despite how nice I was being, and she had a boyfriend she was going to break up with. I'm over it though. Just leave me alone please. I just want to get kicked off as soon as possible." Dave told him, sighing again afterwards.

Cody shook his head at Dave, then pointing over at Gwen. "You can't just give up like that man! You see Gwen over there? Even though she's turned me down more times than I could count on the show and hooked up with two other dudes, I'm still trying. She's single, and I'm pretty Sky still is too. So why not try?" Cody tried to encourage Dave, but it didn't look like it was helping.

"And how well has that gone for you?" Dave shot back, narrowing his eyes at Cody.

Cody was speechless at that response, now looking back and forth between Gwen and Dave. "Y-Yeah... you know the... one thing I sh... excuse me one second." Cody stammered, before just walking off.

"Of course." Dave muttered, kicking at bit of snow in front of him and then just walking forward.

-Confessional: Cody-

"After hearing Dawn and Dave, am I really doing this the right way? Have I been hitting on Gwen for nothing? No... I'm not going to be all depressed like Dave! This WILL have a good ending!"

-End Confessional-

The teams had now arrived at where their challenge would be. There were several racks of skis and sticks ready for them to use, color coded to the teams. "This is Mt. McLean! You'll all be skiing down this steep hill one at a time per team for your first challenge. Sort of a homage to our first challenge on Total Drama Island. Everyone is required to go down though. There are five passes hanging for each team down there, which you'll need to grab while skiing. First team to get all five wins the challenge, as well as a hot chocolate maker for their room! You can ask Beth, the hot chocolate is really good. So settling for second will be far from what you'd want to do." Chris explained their challenge, holding one of the same tickets used for in elimination, but green and with the logo of the Wolves on it.

Chris pointed to the rack of skis and sticks next, while everyone looked over them. The more athletic players were perfectly fine with this, but many hadn't even skied before, so they were naturally afraid. "Is there a set order for this task?" Scarlett asked, looking down the hill and making a picture frame with her hands as she looked it over.

"Nope, that's up to your captains! By the way, if all of you go down and not all of the passes are grabbed, whoever has the most wins! So I'd get skiing if I were you!" Chris answered, pulling out an airhorn and blowing it, signifying that the challenge had started.

Eva grabbed a pair of skis right away, and almost no one had the guts to object to her going first. "This slope is approximately 63 degrees. Don't let too much of your body weight lean forward or else you fall forward and tumble down the hill clockwise, which could lead to a major concussion." Scarlett advised Eva, looking over at her as the bully got ready to head down.

Eva mostly just ignored her, stepping on her skis and pushing herself down. "Let's just go win this challenge." she said to her team coldly before she zoomed off.

-Confessional: Eva-

"I've been taking anger management classes more lately. Giving myself space from others instead of yelling at them is all I can do. Nerds tick me off the most."

-End Confessional-

Soon after Eva took off, she was soon followed by Zoey and Sky for their respective teams as volunteers. "Lightning is gonna be the last one going, that way he can bring in the final touchdown and win the game!" Lightning told the rest of his team, although they didn't look too keen on the idea.

"You should go before the others if you're stronger mate. That way we can win the game before the other teams do." Jasmine told him, grabbing the next blue pair of skis from the rack and holding them out for Lightning to take.

Lightning shook his head, pointing at himself with a thumb. "Nuh uh, no way is Lightning letting anyone else steal his thunder! I'm going last, that's that!" Lightning refused to take her advice, making Jasmine grumble at his stubbornness.

As the three currently skiing down the steep hill were going down, they were pleasantly surprised to see that Chris hadn't actually put that many obstacles for them to deal with. Zoey and Sky were practically side by side going down, and they were keeping control with their sticks. "Wow, I can't believe Chris didn't just throw like a bear or something on this hill. He didn't really tell us where the passes were though, so I guess that's annoying." Zoey said, keeping her eyes peeled for where they could be hanging.

The path on the hill they were going down was nearly a straight line down that went for about a half mile. It was clearly man made, since the snow was pushed aside and there were trees everywhere else except for the path. At the bottom was another camera crew and a decently sized clearing for them to stop at as the path curved to a flat surface at the bottom. "I wouldn't put it past Chris, but focus on the game!" Sky told her, looking forward and keeping a steady posture that started to put some distance between her and Zoey.

Sky soon saw one of the passes dangling from a wire attached to a tree and reached to grab it, but she was too short and was unable to grab it with how fast she was going. "No! I hope one of our teammates finds that one..." Sky said to herself, looking back at it for a moment before just continuing to ski down the hill.

Eva ahead of her didn't look like she had any luck grabbing passes either by her attitude, waiting in the clearing with her arms crossed and her skis on the ground. She saw Sky ski down and come to a stop in the clearing, sizing her up for a moment. "Went too fast and missed them didn't you?" Eva asked her, still looking upset.

Sky sighed and nodded, stepping off the skis and setting her sticks aside. "Yes, I thought if we were supposed to be quicker than the other teams, it would be better to just go faster and beat them to a pass." Sky replied, now looking up at the hill.

"Same here, except for the part where I actually grabbed a pass. Oh well. My team isn't stupid enough to vote me off, so I don't care that I missed one." Eva said, speaking with her usual harsh tone and then pulling out the pass she had grabbed.

Sky didn't like that idea of just not caring about mistakes like that, but she knew about Eva's temper, so she wouldn't dare call it out. "Well that's one way to look at it. Hey, you actually started this conversation, I didn't expect that from you." Sky realized Eva was the one who started talking to her, despite her nature.

Eva didn't like the observation though, glaring at Sky. "I've been taking more anger management classes. They said that just admitting your own mistakes makes it less likely you'll get mad over them. Don't go thinking we're friends just because I said a couple words to you." Eva told her, but that didn't bother Sky.

"Of course, nice to hear that's going well for you though!" Sky kept a friendly tone, now leaning against a tree while watching.

-Confessional: Sky-

"Eva is nice, I just know she is. I think she's a bit of a introvert? She might be open to talk about more fitness related things. Maybe her and I could bond over some morning jogs? I just think everyone deserves a fair chance! Which I don't think anyone has given Eva yet."

-End Confessional-

Zoey hadn't been going as fast, so when she passed the tree that Sky did, she was able to grab her team's pass that was hanging from it. "Nice! First one down!" Zoey cheered as she then skied to the bottom of the hill.

Back at the top, everyone could see that the three girls had made it to the bottom. But from how far away they were, it was impossible to tell if any of them had even gotten a pass. "Tall girl, you're up! Now sha-go!" Lightning commanded, pointing at Jasmine.

Jasmine didn't object, knowing how stubborn he was, just stepping onto her skis and pushing herself down. Gwen was looking over those on her team, finally settling on Mike. "You think you can bring out Svetlana for this one?" Gwen asked him, walking over to the rack and grabbing a pair of red skis.

Mike shook his head, but he still took the skis that Gwen offered. "Well... not exactly. I have all their skills remember? So I should be just fine!" Mike gave Gwen a quick thumbs up and hopped on his skis, before pushing himself down quickly to try and catch up with Jasmine.

Owen couldn't decide who to have go next, although Lindsay already grabbed a pair of skis and sticks for herself. "I'll go next! I haven't gone skiing before, so this'll be so much fun!" Lindsay volunteered, stepping onto them and preparing to go down.

Scarlett walked up to her, adjusting her glasses as she looked over Lindsay's posture. "If you were to stand straight up like that, you will surely fall forward. Bend your knees while skiing to allow your body to better absorb bumps and increase your speed. Make sure to grab the blue passes." Scarlett instructed, posing next to Lindsay and showing her how to ski.

Lindsay was a bit confused, but she just nodded so she could get to the fun part. "Okay Carmine! I got it!" Lindsay said before taking off down the hill.

As soon as Lindsay took off, Scott walked up to Scarlett, smirking at her. "Don't think I didn't notice that. You're trying to pick up alliance members aren't you so you can just kick off whoever you want. I know that game." Scott confronted her, stepping close.

Scarlett crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow at Scott. "I know you tend to be manipulative, but my actions were not of that nature. Do you really think Lindsay is capable of skiing without help? I'm trying to make sure our team wins." Scarlett told him, grabbing the skis for whoever on their team was going next.

-Confessional: Scott-

"I don't trust Scarlett. Or Noah. Those two are geeks, so they might wise up and try to get me kicked out. Not on my watch, they're not gonna know what hit 'em!"

-End Confessional-

While skiing, Jasmine kept herself crouched slightly, and quickly saw where the first set of passes was hanging. She was able to just reach up and pull the pass for the Penguins down. "Gotcha! None else has grabbed one of those either, so we've got a noice advantage!" Jasmine exclaimed, putting the pass away in her pocket soon after.

Mike was skiing close behind her, and saw her grab one of the passes. They were out of his reach, so he jumped up and did a pirouette and snatched a red pass for his team. "Haha, yes! Thanks for that one Jasmine!" Mike thanked her playfully as he leaned forward and crouched, zipping past her and holding out the pass.

Jasmine was annoyed, but chuckled since his tone didn't sound like he was trying to be mean. "Good one mate, you got me there!" Jasmine called back to him as she continued to ski at the same speed.

Since the two of them were talking, they both missed the second set of passes, which were hanging from a wire in the center of the path. Lindsay was a bit behind them though, so she was able to see the three untouched passes hanging. She stood on her tiptoes to try and grab them, which she was able to grab a blue one before just falling forward and tumbling down the hill.

Chris chuckled as he watched Lindsay roll down the hill, getting a glare from Beth. "That's not funny! I'm coming Lindsay!" Beth looked down the hill and called to her friend, grabbing a pair of skis and stepping onto the hill with them. She soon sped off after her friend, while Chris still chuckled.

"She forgot her sticks." Duncan pointed out, chuckling with Chris now. Gwen watched the two of them chuckle, just confirming the ideas she had in her head.

Cody saw Gwen glaring at Duncan and was debating on trying to use that as an opportunity to talk to her, but decided against it for the time being after the advice he was given.

Beth was skiing down the hill without her sticks, which she didn't realize was a problem until she saw the second set of passes and grabbed the one for her team. She lost her balance after grabbing it and began to tumble down right behind Lindsay. "Wah! How do you steer control those things!?" she cried out as she now rolling down the hill with her pass in hand.

-Confessional: Beth-

Beth had a couple of bruises while she sat in the confessional, and the left lens of her glasses had a crack in it. "So I didn't know you were supposed to grab sticks when skiing! Is it really that bad?"

-End Confessional-

Beth and Lindsay rolled all the way down to the bottom of the hill, where Jasmine and Mike had just stepped off their skis and set them down on the rack at the clearing. "Woah! Are you two alright?" Mike asked, with him and Zoey hurrying over and helping them up.

Beth had one hand on her head, and Lindsay groaned in pain as she was helped up. "I should have grabbed the stick thingies..." Beth groaned as she stood up, before being whacked in the back of the head by one of the loose skis that had came down the hill after falling off the girls.

Mike helped her back up again, and the two were walked over to a tree where they sat down to rest. "Thanks..." Beth thanked them both, giving them a weak smile.

Chris used his binoculars to look at what passes had been grabbed so far, before lowering them and looking at the contestants still on top of the hill. "Looks like the Narwhals and Penguins are tied for the lead! If you guys tie by the way, no one gets the reward! So I'd get to grabbing those passes while we're still young!" Chris told them all.

Noah lowered his book with a smirk on his face. "Unless coming to this resort brought us back in time 30 years, I don't think we're all young." he remarked, getting a glare from Chris.

Chris soon shoved Noah down the hill without any skis or sticks after that remark, enjoying his high pitched scream as he tumbled down the hill. "Nice one dude." Duncan gave light praise to Chris for shoving Noah down, making Gwen scowl.

Dawn saw this reaction and walked up to her. "Is Duncan's behavior troubling you?" Dawn asked her, standing with her hands behind her back.

Gwen shook her head, dropping her glare. "No. Leave me alone. You're up to ski." Gwen sharply replied, pointing to the ski rack.

Dawn didn't push any more than that, grabbing her skis and sticks before taking off down the hill silently. Lightning laughed at how dysfunctional things seemed to be for the other teams, then pointing at Shawn. "Alright, you're next up zombie boy!" Lightning ordered, grabbing some skis and tossing them to him.

"It's Shawn." Shawn reminded him, taking the skis and then grabbing sticks from the rack. Shawn then stepped onto the hill and took off in a crouched position.

Staci watched Lightning order everyone with annoyance, before looking over at Ezekiel who was just watching everything with elevator music in his head basically. "Hey, Ezekiel? Lightning is pretty annoying yah? He's like a drill sergeant. My great great great great great great great uncle Fynn invented them, and they were really tough yah." Staci asked him.

Ezekiel nodded, still just keeping his hands in his pockets. "I hear ya eh. He's probably not gonna be that helpful. He's got white hair, so he's like, really old eh." Ezekiel said in agreement.

Staci smiled at his agreement, then walked over to Lightning. "Can I go next? I'm really good at skiing." Staci asked him, but the jock took it as a complete joke.

"Pssh, you skiing? Lightning is more likely to miss a throw than you being good at skiing!" Lightning told her, laughing at her request.

Staci shook her head, raising a finger. "Nah, my great great great great great great great great great great grandfather Grigoriy discovered skiing actually. So I'm super good at it yah." Staci lied as always, making Lightning roll his eyes.

"Whatever, you can go next I guess. One more person out of the way until Lightning can make his appearance and win the game!" Lightning let her have her way, exciting Staci.

-Confessional: Staci-

"I'm gonna like, impress everyone here yah. I'm German actually, that one umm... isn't a lie. I do know how to ski, at my uncle Luka's lodge we used to go skiing a lot. Yah, so I think my team will finally like me!"

-End Confessional-

Shawn's skiing attempt was unfortunately short lived as just after he passed the second set of passes, he ran into Noah. "Dude move!" Shawn yelled, but it was too late. Shawn was flipped by his skis and he was now tumbling down the hill. Both of the boys screamed as they continued to tumble down.

Dawn was a ways behind them, and winced as she watched the two boys wipe out. "Unfortunate souls..." she muttered, before looking up and seeing the third set of passes attached to a flagpole on the side of the path near a tree.

She swerved over on her skis and grabbed the red one for the Narwhals, smiling as she held it. "This will do, I am glad to see Chris is staying true to his word and not endangering our well beings." Dawn said to herself, going down the hill at a faster pace now that she had a pass.

At the top of the hill, everyone could see that the three had reached the bottom, so now it was time to send another player down. "Wolves, you're going to have to sit this round out, since Beth took off when she wasn't supposed to, and Noah going puts you guys one person ahead of the others." Chris told the team, getting some protest quickly.

"But you shoved Noah down, how is that our fault?" Scott asked, glaring at Chris.

Beardo imitated the sound of Noah's scream after Scott's question, making Duncan chuckle. Beardo wasn't expecting someone to actually find it funny, so he smiled now despite the situation their team was stuck in. "It's one person, get over it. You'll get to go again soon." Chris told them, still standing in front of them while the other two teams picked their next skiers.

Staci was up for the Penguins, and Bridgette was now up for the Narwhals. The two took off, both of them able to balance themselves nicely. Even Lightning was surprised to see that Staci hadn't managed to fall off her skis right away. The first spot where passes could be already had them all taken off, so Bridgette laid her eyes on the wire in the center where only a red pass was hanging. She reached and grabbed it, her posture unwavering. "Woo! This is actually kinda fun!" she exclaimed, leaning forward a little now to gain some speed.

Out of nowhere though, a snowball nailed Bridgette in the face, coming up all the way from the clearing at the bottom of the hill. "What the- gah!" Bridgette yelped as she fell backwards and then began to tumble down the hill.

At the clearing, nearly everyone was glaring at Eva, who had thrown the snowball. "What? She deserves it." Eva said bluntly, not seeing any problem with what she did.

-Confessional: Shawn-

"Eva would be pretty scary if she was a zombie. She threw that snowball more than a quarter mile! That's usually one thing you don't have to worry about when it comes to the shufflers. She'd probably throw another zombie at you and then they'd get your brains!"

-End Confessional-

While Bridgette tumbled down the hill, Staci was keeping herself steady and pushing herself every few seconds with her sticks. She completely missed the third set of passes, not seeing the flagpole off to the side. But she did see the fourth set, attached to sticks just inches above the ground. She crouched down further and grabbed the blue one for her team, letting out a giddy squeal as she did so. "Yah! Got one!" Staci cheered for herself as she maintained balance and continued to ski down.

When the two arrived at the clearing, Mike and Zoey rushed over to help Bridgette up, while Staci received a high five from Sky, Shawn, and Jasmine. "Good job Staci!" Sky praised her, not expecting to ever hear that sentence come out of her mouth.

Staci nodded, now handing the pass to Jasmine. "Yah, thanks! My great great great uncle was a professional skier so I learned a lot from him." Staci lied, which freaked Shawn out.

"If you learned it from your great great uncle... then that must mean he's a... z-zombie!" Shawn shrieked, but Jasmine put a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him down.

"She's full of it mate. She may have some skills, but that mouth of hers really needs some work." Jasmine assured her boyfriend, which calmed him a little.

Shawn took a few deep breaths, before fully calming back down. "Sorry, just that stuff scares me. That and Chris's story about Wendigos still has me on edge." Shawn apologized, rubbing the back of his head.

Staci sighed as her success was quickly downplayed by her lie, walking away and standing next to a tree while waiting for the challenge to end.

Back at the top, Chris gave everyone the okay to send their next skier down. Gwen was looking over who would be good to send next, when Alejandro walked up to her. "Fairest Gwen, may I win the challenge for our team? I'm sure you can recognize my talents." Alejandro asked her, making Gwen roll her eyes.

"Nice try Alejandro, but I'm not going to fall for you just because I'm single. Cody is going next." Gwen told him, looking over at the geek.

Cody's eyes lit up as he was called, rushing over to grab the skis and sticks. "I won't let you down Gwen!" Cody exclaimed as he walked over to the hill and then pushed himself down.

Alejandro raised an eyebrow at this decision, bringing one hand to his chin. "Is that really the wisest decision, or is there some spite involved?" he asked her, not wanting to risk an early elimination for petty reasons by Gwen.

Gwen shrugged, turning to walk away from him. "Better than letting you take control of the team." Gwen answered coldly, her back away from him as she walked up to Cameron to talk to him instead.

-Confessional: Alejandro-

"This is most troubling, Gwen doesn't trust me whatsoever, and she had a horde of her friends with her on this team. I can't target her right away, or else the others will catch on. I need to pick off the others first, so I need to identify the weakest of her friends as far as connections and then work my magic."

-End Confessional-

With the Wolves, Owen was looking over his teammates. "Uh, I'm not good at this leading stuff. Noah isn't here either, so uhh... who wants to go next?" Owen asked, hoping for a volunteer so he wouldn't have to force someone to go.

Scarlett raised her hand, moving to grab the skis and sticks she needed. "I will." she volunteered herself, getting a stern look from Scott as she walked away and then pushed herself down the path on her skis.

For the Penguins, Sammy had been chosen, so she pushed herself down the hill shortly after Scarlett did. "Time to get a pass and be a team player!" Sammy told herself, feeling optimistic about her turn,

Cody had no idea how to ski whatsoever, so he was just standing straight up and trying to use his sticks for balance. Eventually, he accidentally turned and started to slide down the hill at a much slower speed. "What the heck are these sticks even for!?" Cody asked, skidding in the snow with the sides of his skis.

Scarlett and Sammy were nearing him, and the former took amusement in his predicament. "They are called ski poles, and they're meant for steering." Scarlett informed him, zipping past him due to how slow he was going.

Cody saw the fourth set of passes sticking out the ground, reaching down to grab his. "Sweet! I think this is our last one too!" Cody cheered, now thankful he was going slow.

"Watch out!" Sammy called out to him, also going for the fourth set of passes. Both of them collided, and they both ended up tumbling over the fourth set of passes and missing them. They continued to tumble down the hill together, forming a massive snowball that they got stuck in.

Scarlett was ahead of them and saw the fifth set of passes hanging from the tree branch. Just as she grabbed the green one for her team, the Cody and Sammy snowball ran her over and caught her in it. "Gah! You-" was all she could let out and the three of them kept rolling down the hill.

Everyone in the clearing moved out of the way as the snowball kept rolling, letting it crash into a tree and explode, releasing the three contestants stuck in it. "Ugh... what a nuisance." Scarlett mumbled to herself as she stood up first.

Cody stood up next, holding a hand out to Sammy. "Hey, need a hand? Sorry about that." he apologized, to which Sammy took his hand and he helped her up.

Sammy sighed, looking down at the ground. "No it's fine, that was my fault. I should have been more careful there." she apologized back.

Cody shook his hands in dismissal, smiling at her. "I was the one that messed up. Don't beat yourself up for me making a mistake. Neither of us got a pass, so no harm done right?" Cody assured her, keeping a friendly tone.

Sammy looked up at him, nodding and then eventually smiling. "I guess so. Thanks for not getting all mad. Amy would have blamed the whole thing on me if she were here." Sammy nervously chuckled, before walking away.

-Confessional: Cody-

"Why can't my conversations with Gwen go that smoothly? Sammy is nice, but she doesn't have that 'oomph' that Gwen has you know? Who wouldn't want a big tiddy goth girlfriend am I right?"

-End Confessional-

Scarlett walked over to Lindsay and Beth after a few moments to recover from the tumbling, sitting down next to Lindsay. "Did you happen to grab a pass on your way down? I'll hold on to them for both of you. That way you two will be allowed to focus on resting." Scarlett asked them, holding out her hand.

Both of them pulled out the passes they grabbed, handing them to Scarlett. "Thanks Crimson!" Lindsay thanked her, while Scarlett just nodded and put the passes away in her pockets, putting Lindsay's in her left and Beth's in her right.

Back at the top, everyone could see that three had reached the bottom. "Alright teams, pick your next skiers! This is getting close!" Chris announced, checking what passes remained with his binoculars.

Owen was looking over his teammates trying to decide who should go next, when Scott went and grabbed the next skis and ski poles from the rack. "I've got this one. But hey, guy to guy talk. If we lose that, you all cool with voting out Scarlett?" Scott asked them as he stepped onto his skis.

Duncan shrugged, as did Owen, but Beardo raised a thumbs up, before then making a punching motion and the sound of a boxing match bell going off. "Great. I just don't trust her y'know. She seems like Noah, but if she was going to use her smarts for something fishy." Scott told them, snickering as he then waited for the other teams to send their skiers down.

-Confessional: Scott-

"I've got this down pretty nicely. Owen and Noah are all buddy buddy with each other, so with them, Duncan, Beardo, and my own vote, Scarlett is as good as gone when we lose. I'm going to have an 'accident' while skiing, and I'll miss our passes. That nerd won't see it coming!" Scott laughed, before accidentally slipping off the toilet seat.

-End Confessional-

With the Narwhals, Gwen was debating on just letting Alejandro go or send someone else in. The Penguins weren't having as much difficulty deciding, just Lightning didn't know if now was the time to steal the show. "I've got this one eh!" Ezekiel volunteered, wanting to prove himself like Staci had.

Lightning scratched his head, before nodding. "Fine, but if you blow it, you're sha-gone!" Lightning told him, getting Ezekiel pumped up now as he ran to get the skis and ski poles he needed.

As Ezekiel grabbed his ski gear and then took off down the hill, Scott then pushed himself down right behind him, a smirk on his face. Alejandro watched them take off, and then looked back at Gwen. "Gwen, please put aside whatever bitterness you have, we need to win this challenge, and I can do that for us." Alejandro told her with one hand on his chest.

Gwen groaned as he tried to reason with her, before reluctantly nodding. "Fine. Go ahead. It's your funeral." Gwen told him, annoyed that Alejandro was right.

Alejandro smiled as hurried over to the rack, grabbing the skis and ski poles. "Here I go, lo mejor de las suertes!" Alejandro cheered himself on before then heading down the hill.

As Ezekiel skied down the hill, he saw the flagpole with the Wolves and Penguins passes attached to them. "There's the passes eh!" Ezekiel pointed to them, swerving over to go and grab it.

Scott saw Ezekiel going for it and leaned forward, before lunging straight at Ezekiel. "What the- woah!" Ezekiel yelled as he was tackled, starting to tumble down the hill with Scott with now both of them yelling.

Alejandro watched the two tumbling down with a smirk on his face. "My my, mensos at work. I wonder which will depart us today." Alejandro said to himself as he skied down the hill.

The two boys tumbling down began to snowball down the hill, while Alejandro zipped past and grabbed the final pass for the Narwhals from the fourth set. "Entendido!" he cheered as he got it.

Alejandro reached the clearing, pass raised in the air. Chris used his binoculars to see that he had in fact grabbed it, then blowing his airhorn. "The challenge is over! The Narwhals win! Meet me back up here so we can decide who takes second!" Chris announced via walkie talkie, so the people in the clearing could hear the announcement through the loudspeakers down there. Scott and Ezekiel's snowball soon crashed into a tree after the announcement, the two of them groaning in pain and laying on top of each other.

-Confessional: Alejandro-

"And THAT is how you secure your spot in a team. Gwen can't argue with my skills, I'd like to see her try and downplay that."

-Confessional: Heather-

"Oooooh, Alejandro is trying to make himself look better so I get kicked off! We won today, but next time I'm going to have to take him down a peg!"

The camera cut to about twenty minutes later back at the top of the hill. Beth, Lindsay, Bridgette, Scarlett, Cody, Sammy, Ezekiel, Scott, Shawn, and Noah all had ice packs on them, holding them over various injured body parts, mostly being the head. "So the Killer Narwhals won by getting all five of their passes first, so they get to enjoy a hot chocolate maker in their common room! Now for second place, both the Wolves and Penguins grabbed three passes each. So it looks like we have a tie! Can you hand in your passes so we can move on to the sudden death round?" Chris asked, holding two hands out to receive the passes.

Jasmine handed in her pass, soon followed by Staci. Scarlett handed in the pass from Beth, and then her own pass. Eva walked over and brought her pass next, leaving Chris a little confused. "Penguins, this is two. I need the third one from you guys too. Who has it?" Chris asked, looking at the team expectantly.

Lightning looked over his teammates who had went down the hill, waiting for one of them to hand it over. "Who has it? Come on now, Lightning ain't gonna lose to someone hiding our ticket!" Lightning demanded.

No one had it though, and everyone looked at each other with uncertainty. "I handed in mine yah, so I don't have it." Staci said, wanting to draw attention away from herself before she could get blamed.

Lightning then pointed a finger at Ezekiel, glaring at him. "You! You went last, I bet you have it! Where is the pass!?" Lightning now demanded an answer from the homeschooler, whose eyes widened at the accusation.

"I don't have it eh! I almost grabbed one, but I kinda missed it. So I didn't get one eh." Ezekiel answered, feeling the anger coming from Lightning.

Chris stepped in between them, pushing them apart. "Well it doesn't matter now, since it's clear whoever has it isn't handing it over. Penguins, I'll be seeing you at the elimination ceremony tonight! One penguin is going down, and I'm pretty sure we know who it is, Zeke." Chris laughed, ready for the usual tradition to take place.

Lightning and a couple others were glaring at Ezekiel now. "Hey I don't have it eh! I didn't get a single pass to begin with!" Ezekiel tried to defend himself, but he really wasn't helping his case.

-Confessional: Staci-

"They're not mad at me, they're not mad at me! Yas! I might not be going home tonight! I'll get to taste a Total Drama Marshmallow! Fun fact, my great great great great great aunt Rebecca created marshmallows. Yah, they came from a sap from a plant."

-Confessional: Sky-

"I would say to vote off those who failed to grab a pass in the challenge, but I was one of those. Even though Ezekiel made a mistake in the challenge, I still have to vote for Staci. This was a niche roll she happened to play, and I doubt she will be useful to the team in the future. I'm sorry Staci, but it's for the team." Sky held up Staci's ticket and hole punched it.

-Confessional: Jasmine-

"That Staci lass ain't the most useful, even if she did get a pass in the challenge. Her lies combined with how useful everyone else can be compared to her, it's a tough vote, but a needed one." Jasmine reluctantly punched a hole in Staci's ticket.

-Confessional: Geoff-

"It was a bummer we lost the challenge, and Bridge got hurt too! But Lightning didn't send me in so uh, I dunno who to vote for man."

-Confessional: Dave-

"I did nothing. I'm voting for myself. Hopefully they'll notice I did nothing and vote me out so I can be done with everything..." Dave said, then punching a hole in his own ticket.

-Confessional: Lightning-

Lightning held Ezekiel's ticket to his left, and the ticket puncher on his right. "Sha-see-ya!" he shouted as he quickly punched a hole in it.

-Confessional: Ezekiel-

"Lightning has been pretty mean eh, Staci was right about him..." Ezekiel let out a sigh of resignation, holding Lightning's ticket in one hand, then his own in another. "I blew it again, I might as well vote for myself eh..."

-End Confessionals-

Later that night, the nine members of the Lightning Penguins were at the elimination ceremony, sitting in front of the now lit fire to keep them slightly warm since it had gotten colder in the night. On the seats there, those that arrived there first were the ones who took the seats closer to the fire. In the front from left to right was Shawn, Jasmine, Sammy, Lightning, and Sky. In the back row was Ezekiel, Staci, Dave, and Geoff.

Chris walked into the elimination area with Chef behind him, holding a tray of eight marshmallows. "You all cast your votes, and now it's time for one of you to leave the competition on their first day here? Will it be a previous loser, or will a winner get a taste of defeat? Time to find out. You're all veterans, so you know how this works! If you receive a marshmallow, you're safe! If not, it's time for you to be the first one to go down our new method of elimination!" Chris did the first elimination ceremony intro of the season, a smile on his face as he looked at the mixed faces in front of him. Some were bored, some nervous, some confident.

Chris grabbed the first marshmallow from the tray, already knowing who was going home. "Marshmallows go to..."

"Sky."

"Sammy."

"Geoff."

"Shawn."

"Jasmine."

Chris tossed the five of them their marshmallows, looking at the four without their marshmallows. "Dave, you're on the chopping block for doing nothing in the challenge, and you voted for yourself!" Chris said to Dave, who had a disinterested look on his face.

"Yep. Just send me down the tube now." he replied, his head resting on the palm of his hand. Sky was surprised at this news, looking back at him with some concern.

Chris shook his head, then tossing him a marshmallow. "Well that was the only vote in your name, so you're safe." Chris told him, much to his disappointment.

Dave caught the marshmallow, then just tossing it into the fire. "Whatever. Next time then." Dave muttered, now completely zoning out.

Ezekiel sat with his arms crossed, eyes wide as he looked at the two marshmallows on the tray. Staci began to get nervous seeing that she was in the bottom three. She looked at her teammates as she lost some hope. "W-What? But I got a pass for the team yah?" she asked, but no one responded.

Lightning was just waiting for his marshmallow, knowing that Ezekiel voted for him. Chris looked at the three of them, annoyed that Lightning was killing the moment. "Staci, you're on the chopping block for uh... being annoying and not that helpful in the long term. That's what the confessionals said. Ezekiel, you possibly or possibly didn't hide the pass your team needed in order to avoid elimination. Lightning, you didn't help in the challenge and have been rather bossy. One of you will be taking the Tube of Shame." Chris told the three of them, building up tension with the first two, and leaving the third unfazed.

Chris grabbed the second to last marshmallow from the tray, holding it up in the air. "The penultimate marshmallow goes to... Ezekiel." Chris said, then tossing the treat to Ezekiel, who nearly cried with joy as he caught it.

That left the compulsive liar and the overachieving jock sitting without marshmallows, both eyeing the final marshmallow with different forms of determination. "Not that I'd really miss either of you, but it's a shame that one of you didn't even get to spend the night here. The rooms are really cozy. But anyway, the final marshmallow goes to...

"Sha-WHAT!?" Lightning gasped as the final marshmallow was tossed to Staci, who happily caught it and ate it. Lightning stood up from his seat and pointed at his team angrily. "You really just kicked the Lightning out of the Lightning Penguins!? Now y'all are just stupid penguins!" Lightning yelled at them, before Chef walked over and grabbed him.

Chris laughed as Lightning was carried away, tossing the empty tray of marshmallows off to the ground. "Well that was a shocker! Not to me, since I knew the results, but man I didn't think you guys would vote off Lightning that fast! I was thinking like episode five he'd be out! Time to show off our new method of exit then! Follow me!" Chris told them, motioning for the eight team members to follow him.

The camera cut to the side of the lodge, where Lightning was standing in a glass tube above what looked like a very long tube slide commonly used in playgrounds. This tube slide however looked like it would take you all the way down the mountain. None of the contestants could even see where it ended. The floor of the glass tube had a line going straight down the middle, indicating that it would split apart to drop the loser down into the tube. "This, is the Tube of Shame! Your one way trip to the bottom of the mountain! Any last words Lightning?" Chris asked the jock, smirking at him.

Lighting pressed a finger against the glass, glaring at his former team members. "Y'all really think you can just throw away your strongest player like this!? Well you'll be sha-sorry you ever- WAAAAAH!" Lightning screamed as Chris pressed a button on a remote and dropped Lightning down into the tube. They could hear his scream echoing through the tube, concerning pretty much everyone there.

-Confessional: Shawn-

"Yeah... I voted for Lightning. He kept calling me zombie boy, and it got to me! Plus, I'd rather have Jasmine leading the team than him. Like he said, we've got all the strong players anyway, so we should be fine without him right? Right?"

-End Confessional-

Sky looked the most upset by Lightning's departure, but she didn't want to draw attention to her own mistakes in the challenge, so she stayed quiet. "Well that's the first elimination ceremony. Penguins, you can go rest in your rooms now, you better get the sleep you need for your next challenge!" Chris dismissed the team, to which they all walked away, leaving Chris and Chef.

Chris turned to face the camera once they were gone, still smiling. "Lightning was thunderstruck by his own team, Gwen is off to a rocky start with his team, and it looks like Scott is already getting to his scheming! What will happen next time? Find out next episode on Total, Drama, Froooooozen Firsts!"

Yup, Lightning is gone first! I know a lot of you expected Staci to go first based on the reviews, but I actually have some plans for her. They may not amount to much, but I wanted to let her survive at least one elimination ceremony. I think her character has some potential if given attention, which is what I intend to do. Sorry Lightning fans, but I just didn't seem him lasting very long in any scenario I came up with that didn't involve a semi-forced ship with Sky (which I hinted at a few times throughout the fic). He's a fun character, but he's already won a season and there are plenty of other comic relief characters in this cast.

Out of 52 overall, he's my 34th favorite, above Cameron but below Trent.

About the six newcomers, there was a 4 way tie for second, and I just couldn't decide on who to put in out of them, since each could have equally fun plots to explore. So I just decided to add six extra instead of three. That left the sixth slot which ended up going to Scarlett. I could have went with one of the two that got three votes, being Courtney and B, but I had reasons to exclude both of them. Courtney would honestly just drag down the Gwen and Duncan plotline I have planned, and after World Tour and All-Stars, I really didn't need to throw in the Courtney wrench to 'spice things up'. B would have been an early boot, no getting around it. Plus, he'd be pretty similar to Beardo in the role he would play, so I didn't think I would be able to do him justice here. So I made the decision to go with someone that had no votes. It was either Sadie or Scarlett, and I think we can all agree that Scarlett was the better pick here.

Soon I'm going to be putting out an episode of my fic that's wrapping up in the final five, Total Drama Revenge of the Cruise Ship, so check that out if you would like! I've kinda got writers block with the Aftermath, but I've been making progress at it!

Well now that the teams have been established, do you guys have any predictions on what antics will ensue over the course of the season? I always love to hear what you all have to say in the reviews, and I try to respond to every single one in the following episode. So stay tuned, and I'll see you all next time! Be sure to leave a review, the feedback always helps!

This is the part where I respond to reviews btw. It's easier here so I don't spoil anything and it keeps things less cluttered imo.

Fritz Electroscreech: Duncan's appearance was something that basically had to be changed. After a few years including jail time, he was bound to change it. Good call on Sammy being added!

Nicky Haugh: Sadly no, Junior likely wouldn't have been included anyway, since Chris would do his best to acknowledge a series that he didn't even host.

Jessthedork: Glad you like the start, and you are right about both Noah and Harold being absolutely robbed. Noah won the challenge yet got kicked off that episode for BS reasons. I have plans for him here for sure.

Guest1: Cody is a simp yes, but I'm not so sure about Dave holding that title anymore.

MatiasND aka 'a: Well you called Sammy being in! Amy honestly kinda ruined Sammy's appearance in TDPI, since it ate up most of her screentime with that plotline, even after Amy got the boot. So I'm glad it's just Sammy that got in.

Guest2: Well you got all three of them in, and you called the generational equality there too. It conveniently ended up being 2 from each gen. (Although the three you went with were kinda the obvious fan favorites, so it makes sense we'd have at least 1 from each gen).

Jster1983: It may be her fate, but I couldn't let the stars line up for that to happen here. It just wouldn't be right to force Courtney in and give her mean treatment.

N8han11: Well you called the three of them getting in, and glad you like the location! I don't see a lot of frozen settings for seasons, so I figured I'd give it a whirl with the canon characters.

ZNBT: Noah is priceless, Total Drama just wouldn't be the same without the sarcastic stinker.

Alexneushoorn: Thanks! I wasn't so sure how the reception was going to be for this idea honestly. After seeing Total Drama Audacious Alpines, I wanted to use a snowy setting. I of course wasn't going to just copy paste his concept, the only thing that really carried over was the nicer lodge for the contestants to stay in. I liked that, since it just seemed cruel in later seasons in canon and then crossed the line in Pahkitew. Pretty fair guesses on who you think will go far too. I know Heather didn't get much screentime in this episode, but in the beginning some will just fall to the background like Geoff to get the plot snowball rolling. Good guesses on early boots too, one of which is pretty accurate, won't say which though. I'm surprised that so many people wanted Eva honestly. But after hearing the reasoning and looking back on some Aftermath episodes from World Tour, I can see the new appeal to her. So I have plans for her, and I also plan on bringing her long lasting hatred plotline with Bridgette to a close, since that was never really touched on again in canon. Thanks for the review as always!

WhatTheHeck23: One could view this as an underdog season yeah, since all of the first boots have plenty of potential to be utilized. Some can be throwaways, but the same can be said of some of the winners like Lightning. You've pretty much called what the big deal was with Duncan's change, but I plan on delving into that more in later episodes, so I won't touch on it here. Only one of the first boots will be just pure fodder, and you'll find out which pretty soon, since Beardo sticking around will lead to some growth for him. Keeping him silent would lead to the same issue that B has, just he needs to have his moment to open up first. Thanks for suggesting Scott to be thrown in, since his scheming always adds a layer of fun to a season. I know plenty of people don't like him, but I think that's just salty Dawn fans. Thank you for the review!

Nobody245: The antagonist you're expecting may or may not be from someone unsuspecting, but don't think that there will be just one either. There will be lots of Jo type roles this season, since we've got a lot of fierce competitors here. Ironically Jo didn't even make it in, but whatevs. Owen as a winner is an interesting prediction, since it would make sense for Owen to win a resurgence season like this, but we'll just have to see if you hit the nail right on the head. I can understand the three characters you want to see back, and Brick I really enjoyed as well, (and I think I'd be able to write him really well after writing Raphael in TDROCS), but alas, he didn't make the cut. Thanks for reviewing!

Derick Lindsey: Harold could have had some plotlines, but with LeShawna not being present, he really wouldn't have anyone to fall back on and would likely be an early boot. So I kinda gave that friendship role I planned for Harold and Beardo to Owen, since it kinda works.

Aleheather4ever: Interesting name aside, I've explained why Courtney didn't get in for that sixth slot, so sorry if you wanted to see Duncney happen. Aleheather may or may not happen, just depends on how these first few challenges will go!
