Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN JANE THE VIRGIN OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS!

A/n: I am sorry for lack of frequent updates but I have a lot going on in my life. I am a mom and I work full time so making time to write can be difficult some days, but this story will be completed. It just might take a little bit longer.

THANK YOU!

My dear you used to be so sweet now your poison seeps into me.

Narrator: Welcome back Amigos! Jane and Jason are now back in Miami. Jane is suspicious of Jason's odd behavior but will she uncover the truth?

The trip back to Miami was slightly awkward. Jason was back to his usual cold self. He was pushing her away again, and Jane was beginning to wonder if she had made the right choice of letting him come back home with her.

"Michael used to love Cubanos," Jane said as she watched him slowly take a bite out of the sandwich.

"These aren't good," Jason said as he spat the sandwich out into a napkin.

Jane had been taking Jason down memory lane thinking she might be able to break him. She knew Michael was smart, but why would he fake having amnesia? He loved her so much or so she thought. He wouldn't be working for Sin Rostro, no her Michael would never. He couldn't ever hurt her like how she had hurt him one too many times.

"I'm sorry Jane," He said sounding defeated as he sat down on a yellow bench. "I knew you were hoping for my memories to come back, but I think it's too late."

Jane sighed as she sat down next to him. She subconsciously moved her body closer to his. He didn't move away from her. His body relaxed when she placed her hand on his knee.

"Don't worry about it," She reassured him. "I knew this was a long shot, but I felt guilty-"

He interrupted her, "Why would you feel guilty?"

"I should have been there for you," Jane felt the tears threatening to spill over. "I know it sounds silly, but I blame myself for you losing your life."

Jason grabbed her hand with his and gently caressed it. Jane sobbed at his touch. She forgot how much she missed his gentle touch. She couldn't take another minute of pretending she didn't know.

"Michael," She pleaded with him. "I know you are working with Sin Rostro and I'm sure you will kill me soon but can't you cut the act and spare me the torture of Jason."

Narrator: No Jane! Don't let him kill you!

"Get up," Michael threatened. "I can't do this here."

Jane wanted to run, but she knew it wouldn't make a difference. He wanted her dead. So she reluctantly stood up and followed him. They walked their way back to the Marbella and she followed him to the elevator.

He pushed the number 4 and they sat in silence waiting to reach the floor. She regretted telling him she knew, but she couldn't put up with another minute of Jason.

They walked to room 411, Jane waited for the door to unlock with his keycard. She was anxious of what was about to happen next, but nothing could have prepared her for what was behind the door.

Michael held the door open for her to walk in; Jane silently walked into the room with him right behind her. Her face fell when she saw her family crowded on the bed together.

Mateo was cuddled up in her mother's arms his face buried in her purple shirt. Her mother looked exhausted and she wasn't sure if it was from her recent chemotherapy or if it was from being kidnapped. Her grandmother looked tough, but Jane could see the tears falling down her cheeks. Her father was a mess. He had been betrayed by someone he had thought of as friend but more importantly a son. The guilt washed over her as she stared at her family this was all her fault.

Jane looked over at Michael but he had left the room to through the another door connecting to a different room. She was scared. What is about to happen to her and her family? Is a broken heart a justification for murder?

Jane walked over to her son and held him tightly in her arms as tears fell from her eyes. She was supposed to be strong for him, but the unknown frightened her to no end.

The connected door opened and out walked Charlie. Jane felt sick. This felt like a setup.

"You were this close to blowing our investigation," Charlie fumed angrily. "And if Michael didn't threaten you right then…Sin would have killed you and your family."

Jane's heart pounded loudly at the sound of his name. Michael is protecting her like he had always done in the past.

Charlie crossed her arms, "Now you will do exactly as say, because today we take down Sin Rostro once and for all."

Narrator: What is happening? Is Michael double-crossing Sin Rostro? Until next time friends!

Thanks for reading!

I have decided to put the narrator's voice in bold to easily separate it from the rest of the story.

Stay tuned for more:)
