Chapter 3: First Night
Silverkit woke up to the blinding lights of the sun. This was his first time seeing it. He started to walk towards it
"Silverkit, where are you going?" Asked Specklesoar.
"What is that?" Silverkit asked, pointing at the sun.
"That is the sun. it makes our days bright so we can see." She replied. He nodded his head. As he was walking back to Specklesoar, a cat emerged from the entrance of the nursery. It was Halftalon. Followed by Gingerpad. Halftalon brought prey with him for Specklesoar. Silverkit sat quietly as Gingerpad talked with Specklesoar. After a few minutes of talking, Specklesoar called Silverkit over along with his sisters. He obeyed. Gingerpad looked him over and went to his sisters and looked them over, too. Gingerpad talked with Specklesoar and gave a sigh of relief.
"They are all healthy," Gingerpad told her.
"Thank you" Specklesoar meowed and separated the sisters that were tackling each other. She called over Halftalon, who was sitting in the corner making a moss ball. He heard her, dropped the ball, and padded over. They started talking and after a bit he walked out of the nursery.
"Where is he going?" asked Silverkit.
"Going to get food for himself.' She replied "Speaking of food, it's noon. Splashkit, can you get your sister away from the entrance of the nursery and tell her it's time for lunch please"
"Yes, Specklesoar" She replied and ran off. She came back with Whitekit and they all started eating some leftover mouse that Halftalon caught. Silverkit was so full that he felt that his tummy would burst! He decided that it was time for a long nap.
