In the end, it was all worth it. All the pain and suffering and work and now staring at the wand that would most likely end her life; she knew it was worth it. She had fought for something that mattered, had proved to the world and herself that she was more than a pretty face. That her life would end up being so short, she didn't have the time to mourn, not when in a few seconds from now it would all be over. She couldn't regret the people she had lost, how alone she had made herself but for him. Here remorse did stop her short; the way his hair fell over his eyes flashed in her mind, and the earnest gaze that disarmed her. Him she would be leaving alone, him she would be breaking. Him and her little girl. It wasn't her choice, but she couldn't bring herself to be sorry either, as the ugly sneer of the person whom she once called family accosted her vision and the wand was raised. Her last view wouldn't be of the death eater, it would be of Nicandro, sweet Nicandro who had given everything to be at her side; Nicandro and the Order of the Phoenix. With a serene smile on her face at this thought, and the knowledge that she had made the good choice, the right choice for once in her life, Ambrosia didn't even see the light when it hit her.
