In this chapter, we'll be introduced to Sherry Birkin and Ada Wong.

And Robert Kendo, who will make a bad decision.

Why is Frank West not in the Arklay Mansion, you may ask?

Well, he already survived a city. Chances are a mansion would be underwhelming by comparison.

Then again, Claire and Leon survived Raccoon City without experience in survival horror.

Chapter 3: The Police Station

After entering the police station, Frank, Jill, and Chris split up to look for police officers.

It was a full moon outside.

However, it seemed that some of the police officers had fallen victim to the infection, so it looked as if they wouldn't be able to help them.

After all, not even the RCPD could hold off the zombies forever.

Although, perhaps some of them had escaped. Perhaps they knew a way out from the city that had protection from the zombies.

They were pretty fortunate.

Frank West ended up finding a survivor.

But she was not a police officer.

She was too young for that.

Currently, Frank West was in the main hall...which seemed to be the least scary place in the police station currently.

There was a large statue in the hall.

It looked rather expensive.

Would anyone figure out the mystery as to where Brian Irons was getting all that money?

"Sir, can you help me?" asked the girl.

Her name was Sherry Birkin.

She was wearing a pendant around her neck.

There was something unique about it.

Sherry considered asking the chief for help, but there was something about him that disturbed her.

Maybe it was the dead animals he had in his office.

Perhaps Brian should try his hand at hunting zombies. It would do everyone a favor.

"What's the problem?" questioned Frank.

The young girl noted that West did not look like a police officer...but considering what was happening outside, she was going to take her chances.

"There's a monster after me!" exclaimed Sherry.

"There's a monster specifically targeting you?" asked West.

"Yes!" shouted the girl.

"Then we're in the same world, kid." noted Frank.

"Sherry..." said a voice.

"That's the monster!" bellowed the young girl.

It seemed to be coming from the sewers.

Although, it seemed unusual for a little girl to be a threat to Umbrella. So why was there a monster after her specifically?

For now, Frank figured he should focus on keeping her safe.

"Is that your name? Sherry?" asked Frank.

"Yes...now that I think of it...aren't you Frank West?" questioned Sherry.

"And they say blondes are dumb..." noted the news reporter.

"I'm still worried about the monster." remarked the young girl.

"It doesn't appear to be in the police station, but just in case, we both should stay quiet." noted the news reporter.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of howling.

It was a pack of Cerberuses.

Unfortunately, animals were also falling victim to the T-Virus.

Curiously, a zombie was petting one.

Was a Cerberus a zombie's best friend?

Well, they could help them sniff out their prey.

Zombies weren't known for being strategists though.

Tyrants might be, however.

The Cerberuses approached them.

He couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor dogs.

But he had to put his feeling towards animals aside, unless he wanted to be a chew toy.

Frank shot the Cerberuses and they were dead.

Thankfully, they weren't as resilient as a zombie.

But to compensate, they were faster.

Sherry found the experience frightening, but she was holding it together surprisingly well.

"Listen, kid, we should get you a firearm." noted Frank.

"My parents told me guns were dangerous." remarked Sherry.

"They sound like good parents. But it'd be even more dangerous if you DIDN'T have one." explained the news reporter.

The blonde girl couldn't help but shake the feeling that was true.

Frank helped her aim a pistol at a target.

It was a nude painting of a woman being hanged.

He found it disturbing, so he figured that he should make it the target.

Sherry did surprisingly well.

She even managed to score a headshot, though he would be content if she didn't accidentally shoot him.

Maybe if they survived, she could help him with his news reports.

"You're surprisingly smart for your age." noted Frank.

"Well, my parents are scientists." remarked Sherry.

"Would they...happen to work for Umbrella?" asked the man.

"Yes, they did. Why do you ask?" questioned the girl.

"I'm afraid Umbrella is the reason the city is being burned to the ground." explained Frank.

"Why would they want to do that?" asked Sherry. That was where they put their headquarters.

"I don't think they did it on purpose. But still, making a virus that turns people into zombies has consequences, wouldn't you say?" questioned Frank.

"Umbrella designed that kind of virus?" spoke the blonde.

"There are people turning into zombies, aren't there?" answered West.

"Does that have anything with the mysterious fever in the newspapers?" questioned Sherry. Thankfully, it seemed she had a resistance to the infection.

"I imagine it does." nodded Frank.

He was reminded of James Johnson. He had to be careful not to share the same fate.

He got the feeling that Hel would find him...eventually.

And he would need to be prepared when that happened.

Suddenly, Rebecca Chang approached him.

"Frank! I've been worried about you! There are zombies roaming the city and things have gone to hell!" exclaimed Rebecca.

She then noticed Sherry.

"You didn't tell me you had a daughter." noted the brunette lady.

Was there anything else she didn't know about him?

"What? No, this is just a girl I found in the precinct." explained Frank.

Oddly, Rebecca seemed relieved when Frank told her that.

"We've gotta get out of this city!" exclaimed Chang. The sooner she wasn't in a city infested with the walking dead, the better.

"We're working on that. But we need to find a way out first." explained Frank.

If they didn't choose a good escape route, it would end with them being eaten by zombies.

And he certainly didn't want a child to suffer that kind of fate.

The concept of a child becoming a zombie was pretty disturbing.

"Can't you have your pilot get you out of here?" asked Rebecca.

"I tried that, he was killed by a giant woman." explained Frank.

"A giant woman? What is this world coming to?" questioned the female news reporter.

"I don't know, but it would be REALLY bad if she found us." noted West.

Meanwhile...

Robert Kendo had heard there were zombies roaming the streets, but he wasn't particularly worried.

He was the owner of a gun shop. He could probably kill every zombie in the city if he wanted to.

But just in case, he locked the door and barricaded the huge window so that none of them could get in.

He would want to find an escape route sooner or later, but he would cross that bridge when he came to it.

Robert also had a lot of food supplies, so he could last for a while.

Maybe the RCPD could handle things.

Feeling safe, he decided to look out the ceiling window and admire the stars.

Maybe he would get to make a wish.

Suddenly, a zombie crawled onto the window.

"Huh?" asked Kendo.

There was something off about this zombie.

It had an exposed brain, no eyes, and an abnormally long tongue.

Was this some sort of mutation? It reminded him of the zombies outside.

Anyways, it appeared this zombie could crawl on walls, allowing it to reach the ceiling.

Sure enough, it shattered the window with its tongue.

"Well, crap." spoke Robert, right before dying.

What's the moral of this story? NEVER take your safety for granted during a T-Virus outbreak.

"I've looked around the police station, but it seems that several police officers have joined the horde." explained Chris.

He wasn't sure about the others, but they probably had their hands full defending the precinct.

"Should we ask Brian Irons?" asked Jill.

"He might still be alive, but he wasn't exactly helpful when we tried to tell him what was going on in that mansion." noted Chris.

"Fair point." remarked Valentine. Perhaps they should look elsewhere for assistance.

But to be honest, she wasn't sure how many police officers were left. Nobody had been expecting the citizens of Raccoon City to turn into zombies, and they didn't know as much about them as STARS did.

Luckily, other than the Cerberus, none of the bioweapons made by Umbrella were attacking the police station at the moment.

But that probably wasn't going to last.

The remaining police officers might want to get out of the RCPD while they still could.

Now that she thought of it, Irons didn't seem too concerned when STARS Bravo had almost been wiped out, either.

Who put him in charge of the police, anyway?

Possibly, they might be able to escape through the sewers.

But on the other hand, they didn't know what was down there.

Just in case, they should probably look for more gun magazines.

Why did Brian keep hiding the magazines, anyway?

It seemed counterproductive to defending the city.

He might want to have a talk with him about that.

Chris noticed that there was a computer nearby.

He used it to check his e-mail.

"Are you sure you should be checking your e-mail in this kind of situation?" asked Jill. It might be better if he did that in a city that DIDN'T have zombies.

"It will only take a few minutes." explained Chris.

What he found out disturbed him.

Back when Brian Irons was in the academy, he was accused of sexually assaulting two female students.

But they decided to drop the charges, because Brian was doing well at school and figured that he would make for a good police officer.

Now that he thought of it, he was starting to wonder why the police didn't investigate Umbrella, other than themselves of course.

Did Brian have something to do with it?

"I'm starting to wonder if I should see Brian Irons while I'm dressed like this." noted Jill Valentine. He was starting to sound awfully lecherous.

"Well, you do look good in it." remarked Chris.

Jill smiled. She appreciated that.

Meanwhile...

As Frank, Rebecca, and Sherry roamed the police station, they discovered something disturbing outside the window.

It was another Tyrant.

This one was wearing a hat.

Was it trying to hide its baldness?

"How many Tyrants are there in this city?" asked Frank. So far he had counted three. And they all seemed to have different objectives?

Compared to Nemesis and Hel, this Tyrant was completely silent.

Perhaps it wasn't quite as intelligent.

But that didn't matter so much when one had the strength to tear through concrete.

The three of them ducked so that Mr. X did not notice them.

It was lucky they did.

This Tyrant was on a mission to kill everyone in the police station.

Already, much of his work had already been done. Brian Irons had made sure of that.

Additionally, it was to recover what was in Sherry's pendant.

Unfortunately, one police officer encountered Mr. X.

He didn't realize that he was in danger until it was too late.

"Sir, can you help m-aaagghh!" exclaimed the officer.

He had a fist rammed through his chest.

Afterwards, the police officer dropped to the ground.

Perhaps he would reincarnate as a zombie later.

It was happening a lot lately.

Mr. X then continued his search for survivors.

Wouldn't want Umbrella to be implicated in the mess they created.

Meanwhile...

"Leon, is that you?" asked Marvin.

"Marvin? What happened to you?" questioned Leon.

He hadn't been in the force for long, but he happened to have met the man.

He was lying down, and he appeared to be wounded.

"A zombie bit me." explained the black cop.

"What? That's terrible." answered the rookie cop.

"I think I'm going to become one soon...you have a gun, don't you? Could you shoot me through the head? I think it's the only way to prevent me from becoming a zombie..." explained Branagh.

Leon sighed.

He didn't want to shoot a bullet through Marvin's head.

But he did have a point. If he reanimated, he might attack a survivor.

He shot a bullet through Marvin's head, and he was no more.

Claire heard the gunshot.

"Are you alright? I heard a gunshot." explained the college student.

"Yeah...I had to stop another police officer from turning." answered Leon.

He could only hope he didn't have to do the same to Claire.

"You don't suppose there's a cure for the antivirus, do you?" asked Claire.

She didn't want to join the horde that was slowly gathering outside.

"If there is, it's not in the police station." explained Leon.

They would want to check an Umbrella laboratory.

But he wasn't sure if they could reach one without being attacked hy zombies.

Outside the police station...

Ada Wong had been sent by a rival to Umbrella to take a sample of the G Virus.

And yes, it seemed like everyone wanted it these days. William Birkin, Mr. X, and now Ada Wong.

Nobody knew her real name.

She didn't exactly tell people her life story.

To be fair, she once knew a man who was really lecherous.

She didn't feel comfortable talking with him.

His name had been Derek Clifford Simmons, who may or may not have been dining on endangered species.

She happened to know someone who could provide her information.

But it seemed he had been arrested.

Seemed Umbrella knew that he knew a bit too much.

Unfortunately, it seemed obtaining the G-Virus was going to be a bit complicated.

There had been a T-Virus outbreak.

Now Raccoon City was essentially the most dangerous place in the world.

At least until the inevitable nuke fell, anyway.

After that, all people would have to worry about was radiation.

Well, her job was to collect the G-Virus sample BEFORE that happened.

Considering what had happened recently, Ben was most likely in jail.

Well, it was best to find him before he succumbed to the T-Virus, or was eaten by zombies.

She loaded her weapons and began her search.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

In the next chapter, our heroes will encounter Lickers!

Robert already encountered one. Heh heh.
