Hey, Sapphire here! Thanks to all those who favorited, followed and reviewed! I'm so sorry I took so long to get this out, my life has been a mix of chaos and stress lately.

Nino woke up in a haze of pain.
At first, all he was aware of was how much it hurt. He couldn't tell where it was coming from or what caused it. Then, he realized that it was coming from his stomach. He then began to listen to what was happening around him. He heard beeping machines and people breathing. He heard his mother whispering to herself and Alya snoring quietly. He blinked open his eyes to see first bright lights and then his family and girlfriend surrounding him. Alya was in a chair, head resting against Nino's bed. Curtis was next to her. His parents were side by side on the other side of the bed.
Nino heard his mother gasp, "He's awake!"
Alya started into a sitting position. "Nino! I'm so glad!" she exclaimed.
"You were asleep for a day," Curtis told him.
Nino attempted to say something but was unable to because his throat was too dry.
"I'll get you some water," Alya volunteered, leaving into a small side room. She soon came back with a small glass and handed it to Nino, who took it gratefully and took a sip from it. The cool liquid trickled down his throat, and he sighed in relief.
"So, what happened when I was out?" Nino asked.

When Marinette got the text from Alya, she was prepared for the worst.
When it was the best, Marinette was so ecstatic she could have kissed someone. She almost did kiss Adrian. It took every ounce of her self-control not to.
"Nino's awake!" she called in triumph, and Adrian perked up, managing to get in a sitting position.
"I'm so glad! I was really scared," Adrian admitted.
"You know, I was really scared for you, too," Marinette admitted.
Adrian blinked, "Really?"
"Of course I was! Even if you don't think you can love yourself, I still love you!" Marinette proclaimed.
"Are you... in love with me?" Adrian asked tentatively.
"Adrian Agreste, I've been head over heels for you ever since you gave me your umbrella," Marinette admitted.
Both Adrian and Marinette were blushing furiously.
"Can I kiss you?" Adrian asked.
Marinette didn't answer with words. She just put her lips on his.
They stayed there for a few seconds before breaking apart, staring into each other's eyes.
They were about to go for a second kiss when someone knocked on the door.
"Can I come in?" they heard Celine call.
"Y-yeah, go ahead," Marinette responded, scooting a foot away from Adrian.
Celine entered the room and raised an eyebrow at the sight of the pair. Marinette felt her face flush, and Celine cleared her throat, "Am I interrupting something?"
Marinette and Adrian made a bunch of spluttering noises and incoherent sounds.
"Okay, I'll just leave then," Celine muttered and turned to walk out.
"No, stay please," Adrian requested. Marinette nodded vigorously.
"Are you sure? 'Cause I don't want to watch you make out," Celine told them.
Marinette flushed an even deeper red and made a choking noise.
"We're not making out!" Adrian exclaimed.
"If you say so," Celine muttered and sat in a chair close to Adrian's bed.
"I'm here to talk about who your living arrangements. Since Gabriel Agreste was Hawk Moth, a child abuser, and attempted to murder you, it's very likely he'll be sentenced to life in prison. Even if he isn't, you'd never be able to live with him again. My parents have agreed to foster you, but you'll need to figure out what to do with your mansion and the company. It doesn't need to be now, but you need to have that in mind," Celine informed.
"Okay. It's nice to know I have a home to go to," Adrian said, smiling.
"Your house seems to be really small for the amount of people living in it, though," Marinette worried.
"I'm sure we'll figure it out," Celine replied, her voice holding a slight hint of irritation.
"Couldn't you move to my house? You'd certainly have a lot more space, and I own it anyways," Adrian offered.
Celine narrowed her eyes, "Are you sure you want to go back there?"
Adrian shrugged, "It might have bad memories, but it also has great ones that I'd like to not leave behind if possible."
"I'll tell my mom your suggestion. She and my dad would like to speak to you alone, later, if you want to. They should get here in a few minutes. Marinette, would you like to stay when they do?" Celine asked.
"It's up to Adrian," she replied.
"I think you should visit Nino. I know you're worried," Adrian suggested.
Marinette gave a small smile, "If you're sure."
Adrian nodded as knocking sounds came from the door. Celine got up from her seat and answered it. Her parents were standing at the door. Celine beckoned Marinette to follow her as she left, and she did as Marie and James entered. Marinette shut the door behind her and jogged to catch up to Celine, who was already halfway down the hallway.
"Do you know where Nino's room is?" Marinette asked.
"He's in room 536, at the end of the hallway," Celine replied, not breaking stride.
Marinette caught up to Celine just as the pair got to Nino's room. Celine knocked on the door, and they heard Alya call, "Come in!" Celine grabbed the doorknob and opened it, entering the room. Marinette followed her.
Nino was laying on his bed. His mother and Alya were at his bedside.
"Hey, Marinette, Celine," Nino said quietly.
"You're okay!" Marinette exclaimed, rushing over to his bedside. She sat herself next to Nino on his mattress.
Nino snorted, "I wouldn't go that far, but I'll live."
"You will get better, right?" Celine asked timidly, holding back in the doorway.
"Yep! I have no plans of dying in the foreseeable future, my dudes!" Nino exclaimed, beckoning Celine to join him at his bedside. She complied, dragging a chair up and sitting in it.
"Do you know what's taking Dad and Curtis so long?" Nino asked his mother.
"Nino, I'm not psychic," Mrs. Lahiffe deadpanned.
"Curtis probably got distracted and lost," Alya pointed out.
"Who is Curtis?" Celine asked.
"That's Nino's brother. You'll get to meet him soon," Marinette informed.
"So, how is Adrian, Marinette?" Nino questioned.
"He's doing well. Celine's parents are talking to him now, they plan on adopting him. Isn't that great?!" Marinette exclaimed.
"Also, I'm not sure if you were ever told this, but it turns out that I'm Adrian's biological sister," Celine added.
"Seriously? How did that happen?" Mrs. Lahiffe questioned, leaning towards Celine. "Was Gabriel unfaithful or something?"
Celine shook her head. "No, we're twins. Gabriel Agreste didn't want his son, hired someone to kidnap him, and they took me on accident."
"So, Gabriel Agreste wins worst father of the year," Marinette muttered.
Nino nodded. "He put both you and Adrian through a lot," he added.
"He'd better be locked up in a prison cell where he belongs. That man should never had been a parent!" Mrs. Lahiffe exclaimed.
"He'll never get custody of us, that's for sure. No amount of money can erase the video on Alya's blog," Celine assured her. "Besides, my adoptive parents are amazing! Adrian's offering to move us into his mansion, though I don't know if my parents will be swayed by that."
"Adrian wants you to move in with him?! No fair, I want to live in a mansion!" Curtis exclaimed as he burst through the door of the room, launching himself onto Celine's lap. "Can your parents adopt me, too? I so want to live in a mansion with Nino and Mom and Dad! And you, I guess."
"Hello, small child," Celine said.
"Curtis! Don't be rude, get off the stranger's lap," Mr. Lahiffe told off the young boy as he entered the room and sat in the corner of it, where the last empty chair was.
Celine laughed, "It's okay, I have a lot of younger siblings. I understand."
oooOOOOooo
Adrian looked at the couple that sat in his room by his bed. "You said you wanted to talk to me?"
The man and woman exchanged a glance. "I understand that you have no reason to trust us. You've possibly never been treated right by an adult. But the two of us promise that we will never hurt you," James told the boy.
"My mother treated me well. The Dupains treated me well. The Lahiffes treated me well. You treated me with kindness when I visited your family. Celine has told me how well you treat her, and I trust her. I think we can make things work," Adrian told them.
The couple smiled. Marie said, "Thank you for giving the two of us a chance."
OooOOOOooo
Thank you so much for waiting again! There should be one more chapter, maybe two to finish this.
