Veronica pushed out the smoke from her cigarettes and got ready for the

Monday chaos that was to come.

Its Begun

Turning around in her bed Veronica glanced over to her alarm clock as realised it was time for her to get to school. She turned to her other side and looked towards her window. She loved her room, it was beautifully made and almost mirrored to the one she had in New york. She was prepared for the coming days and possibly weeks, she knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. She walked down to get breakfast and noticed her father at the table.

"Buenos días padre", she said to her father as she walked past him. He was looking at the newspaper. And the front page read "SERPENTS NOW GOING TO RIVERDALE HIGH, WHAT'S NEXT?". It amused her to no end.

"Buenos Días mi hija", he pushed his glasses up so that they sat at the bridge of his nose.

That was their morning routine.

Where ever her mother was never crossed her mind.

As Veronica exited the dining room she called out to Smithers to pull the car out front.

That was their morning routine.

Today was going to be one to remember, one way or another.

Today was going to be a big day, the Southside High students were starting school, at her school. It still irritated her that Cheryl Blossom was considered the Queen of the school. But her time on the throne was almost up, she had a weak court. And they would be easy to crush til there nothing but mere specks of their former selves.

The once dull concrete hallways were covered in blue and gold. And right at the end of the hall, there was a sign that read 'Welcome to Riverdale High'.

"Wow they are trying way too hard with this", was all Veronica could think as she put her books away into her locker.

It is lonely, not having people constantly around her. When she was back in New York, she'd arrive at school and at least two of her boys would be standing there waiting for her.

Once the cement school buildings came into view, Veronica reapplied her red lipstick and opened her door. It still shocked people that Veronica opened her own door and not let someone else do it. It was the job of her boys back home. Veronica missed the way she walked down the hall and everyone would get out of her way and part like the red sea, she was the Queen and the boys were her Kings.

She desperately missed her boys and wanted to go and see them again soon. Walking through the school that was now swimming in blue and yellow, Veronica almost shuddered in disgust. There was a massive banner that read "Welcome to Riverdale HIgh", and right underneath the banner, was a table. And low and behold, there was Cheryl bossing around some nobodies. The only other things that could be shown on the walls was the school dance coming up in a month.

Soon Veronica was going to knock her off her high pedestal and take over as the Queen and she couldn't wait to find her King or Kings.

Once Veronica had put her stuff in her locker, she walked over and decided that she might help out.

There were maps and schedules covering the desk.

"Wow Cheryl, you really went all out with all of 'this', it literally screams Riverdale", Veronica said as she picked up a badge.

"Why thank you, Veronica, we have to do our best to make the other students feel welcomed, it's the least we can do", the way Cheryl said it made it seem like she was doing charity work.

"That wasn't exactly a compliment Cheryl"

"Whatever, they should be here around 8:35 am"

8:30 am

"How come you're not with you precious Archikens and Betty? It's very rare that you aren't all attached at the hip", there was suspicion in her voice.

"I don't actually know where they are, I decided to come to see all of this instead of finding them", the answer clearly wasn't good enough for Cheryl, but Veronica didn't care.

"I think I saw Betty and Archie enter the music room together earlier, in fact, I've seen them do that almost every morning before you arrive", she knew.

"I honestly don't exactly care what they do in their own time, I'm getting bored of them both anyway", and with a wink, Veronica turned to the entrance of the school as the Serpents finally joined them.

8:35 am

"Welcome to Riverdale High, I am Principal Weatherbee, if you continue down the hall you will come across a table that has each of your timetables and your locker allocations as well. There are just a few rules here at Riverdale that we all must follow, these rules are as follow: ", during Weatherbee's speech Veronica took the time to look at every single one of the serpents.

A group of approximately 15 kids walked into the hallway, however the most prominent was the 5 walking in the front wearing that special leather jacket.

She instantly recognised Toni walking down the hall, she was wearing a crimson crop top that stops just under her boobs if she moved her hands high enough you would be able to see them. She matched it with a leather skater skirt and ankle-high black boots but of course, the thing that really tied it all together as he Serpents Jacket.

Standing next to her was a dark-haired guy that was wearing a black top, black jeans that had rips at the knees, with some black boots and his Serpent jacket but if it wasn't for the fact that he had a blue flannel long-sleeved shirt wrapped around his waist he'd be in all black.

The third person was a guy with shoulder-length hair that he kept combed back, he was wearing a grey top and a pair of black jeans, also with some black boots and his Serpent jacket. The three of them were walking slightly behind the two in the front and it was clear to see why. The two guys in the front radiated a type of power that Veronica found intoxicating, it was after all so very close to what her power felt like.

The guy on the left was taller than the two in the back but around a similar height to the other guy in the front. He was wearing a red flannel shirt underneath his jacket, and a pair of black jeans completing the look with a pair of black boots, his outfit made him look like all the other guys but it wasn't until you looked at his hands and neck did you realise how different he was from the others, on his hand was a singular flat silver ring, from where she was standing Veronica couldn't see what it was though, and on his other hand was a black digital watch but what peeked underneath the watch was the makes of another tattoo. On his neck was his Southside Serpents tattoo; it was clear that with everything he wore, he wanted to make sure his tattoo was always shown.

The last guy was the same one from that night in the Whyte Wyrm, but this time he looked a lot different, he didn't look odd and rough under the lights of the school as he did under the dim bar. She was sure his voice would sound different as well. But he still looked intimidating, he was wearing a dark red hoodie that seemed to almost match the colour of Toni's top, underneath his Serpent jacket, he was also wearing black faded jeans with a pair of grey suspenders hanging behind him as well, but what really made him stand out was his dark blue crown beanie, Veronica doesn't remember him wearing it that night but doesn't think anything of it.

She looks back at his face and knows she was just caught checking him out, she merely raises an eyebrow and he winks, she returns it with a smile and walks away towards her locker. She was at school after all and if she was right the bell for the beginning of the day was set to ring soon. She was glad she didn't have Archie and Betty in her first two classes. But she knew that lunch was bound to be interesting.

The rest of the school went relatively fast. She didn't have any of the five in her classes but did have some Southside kids. She helped them whenever one of them was stuck and needed some help with something.

The Idiotic Boyfriend

It was lunchtime now and Veronica had just sat down and started talking to Kevin waiting for the golden two to show up.

"So what do you think of our new additions?", Veronica knew that even in the short amount of time the Serpents had been here, Kevin would know everything about them and a bit more.

"Well, first of their names are, Jughead Jones, Toni Topaz, Fangs Fogarty, Sweet pea which I doubt is his real name and last but not less at all in my opinion, Joaquin DeSantos", Kevin clearly had a bit of a crush on Joaquin DeSantos.

"Go on". It was a command that Kevin really didn't need.

"Well they are all single, which is a bit shocking but anyway, they have been asked not to wear their jackets anymore because Weatherbee believes its 'gang paraphernalia' and doesn't want any of it in 'his high school', his exact words but they agreed not to wear them tomorrow so it shouldn't be an issue", Kevin clearly didn't agree with Weatherbee's choice of words and neither did Veronica.

"It shouldn't have been a problem in the first place" the sneer that Veronica had on her face proved to Kevin she didn't like it either.

"I have Joaquin in my chemistry class and-", whatever Kevin wanted to say was cut off my Betty calling out for Veronica

"V where were you this morning? We couldn't find you", Betty asked, taking a seat next to Veronica.

"Hey to you too B, I was talking to Cheryl this morning, and I wanted to get a look at the new students before everyone else started spreading rumours about what they looked like", Veronica really didn't feel the need to explain herself to Betty but she did anyway. It was then that Archie chose to sit across from Veronica and next to Kevin.

"Plus I heard you guys were in the music room this morning, so I doubt you were really looking for me anyway", Veronica didn't miss the 'subtle' look that they gave each other.

"Who told you that?", Veronica snapped her eyes to Archie.

"Please don't use that tone of voice one me Archikens plus it was Cheryl and a few others snot that it really matters"

"Sorry Ronnie, have you talked to any of the serpents yet?", he asked, reaching over and playing with the bracelet he had given her.

"No not yet, but it is only a matter of time before I do, I'm bound to have a class with them soon", Archies hand tighten slightly on her bracelet and Veronica got prepared for whatever idiotic thing that was about to come out of Archies mouth in a second.

"Well good cause I don't want you associating with any of them at all, they are bad news", even Betty stopped eating and looked at Archie like he was an idiot.

"You can't exactly tell me what I can and can't do Archie Andrews", the way Veronica was looking at him, should've been enough for Archie to just apologise and say nothing else but unfortunately it wasn't enough.

"Yeah I know that but I still don't want you anywhere near them as your boyfriend you should listen to me!", he had really done it now even the people sitting next to them were shaking their heads.

"Well first of all Archie, who I choose to hang out with is none of your business you can't just tell me who I can and can't hang out with just because you are my boyfriend, which brings me to my second point, you are my boyfriend, not my father, not even Hiram would be stupid enough to tell me who I can and can't hang out with Archie Andrews, so you better remember that and remember it well because the next time you say something even remotely close to telling me that, you will find yourself no longer my boyfriend", as her speech went on, Veronica had gotten to her feet and gathered her stuff throwing into the bin before stalking off back inside the school.

"Archie, you sure are an idiot", was all Kevin said before gathering his stuff and walking away.

A Mere Coincidence

Veronica knew she would see Archie in her next lesson which is biology but she was gonna get there first so she could choose where she wanted to sit as far away as him as possible and hopefully annoy him at the same time.

Walking into the classroom Veronica saw multiple seats that were free and chose to sit in the middle of a desk that had two chairs on either side of her, she knew class didn't start for another 5 minutes so she pulled out her phone and was scrolling through Twitter.

"Can we sit here?", it was a new voice that Veronica had never heard before but she didn't bother to look up.

"Yeah sure, I don't mind", came her response. She heard the chairs of both sides of her scrape

"Funny seeing you here", that, however, was a voice that she knew and one she didn't wanna forget.

It was then she looked up and made eye contact with the man from the other night.

"Maybe it's a mere coincidence, but I never caught your name from the other night", his voice was like honey and it filled her with warmth.

"Veronica Lodge and you are?", she placed her hand in his.

"Jughead Jones at your service", he said with a kiss to her delicate knuckles, her hands were much smaller than his and weren't as rough.

"And I'm Fangs Fogarty'', she turned and looked at the other newcomer to her right and placed her hand in his already outstretched one, but unlike Jughead he didn't kiss her knuckles, not that she was upset about that. It was then fangs realised he was the one that was wearing the blue flannel around his waist earlier.

She was slightly disappointed that it wasnt the other god with the tattoos but she didn't show it on her face.

"Nice to meet you Fangs".

It was that moment when Archie decided to make his presence known within the classroom and walked up to the desk that Veronica was sitting at.

"Can one of you move so that I can sit next to my girlfriend?", it was clear by both the stare and the way he emphasised girlfriend that he didn't like what he was seeing.

"Sorry Big Red but I don't see your name anywhere, so no I don't think I will move, you better sit down fast though, the teacher is glaring at you", Jughead was right about the teacher, they didn't look happy with Archie at all.

Veronica knew that she was in trouble with him as soon as the class was over but this was what he deserved for the way he treated her at lunch, she honestly couldn't care all that much.

The class progressed with slight flirting from Jughead and polite conversation with Fangs, she didn't really have an opinion of Fangs but she knew as time progressed that they would get closer.

Jughead however was making her feel things not even her boys back home made her feel.

The class ended quickly with the two boys wishing her farewell and leaving, as she walked out of the classroom she was met with a furious redhead by the name of Archie Andrews.

"What the hell was that Veronica, I just told you not to go anywhere near those slimy snakes and yet there you were hanging out with them the entire lesson", the whispers were already circulating as people stopped and listened as Archie yelled at his girlfriend, a mistake they all knew he'd eventually come to regret.

"And like I told you, Archibald Andrews, you can not tell me what I can and can't do because your not my father, you are so close to finding yourself without a girlfriend, so I recommend you pull your head out of your ass before you lose me permanently, ask anyone who was in the class before you arrived I was sitting by myself when they asked if they coils sit down, but I never looked up so didn't realise it there were two people instead of just the one". And with this Veronica turned on her hill and headed towards her locker.

Once she reached her locker, she packed everything into her back and headed out the front and waited for her car. When she was about to enter the car she turned and looked towards the Serpents, Jughead and Sweet Pea were already looking at her, they both winked at her and she simply smiled back.

Once Veronica got home she went and had a shower and laid in bed. She grabbed her computer and went online to the Blue and Gold, the newest article was called Problems in Utopia, Veronica had a feeling it would be about her and Archie, her suspicions would soon be confirmed.

Problems in Utopia

Good evening fellow students, toward was the day we were joined by the SouthSide Students, thankfully for us they didn't cause too many problems with the students of Riverdale. But Weatherbee is already putting them on a tight leash. As of tomorrow they are no longer allowed to wear their leather jackets due to the fact that although the jackets symbolise their school it is also used as a way to signify those in the notorious gang, The Southside Serpents, although we are glad to know the school prioritises the correct 'uniform', do you this it is unfair that these students are unable to wear their school jackets? Please answer in the poll below and I will be posting the results tomorrow around lunchtime.

But that's not all that's been happening in our school, it's been brought to my attention that there are some problems happening within a certain couple. It all started at lunchtime today when Archie Andrews decided that he could tell his current girlfriend Veronica Lodge that it would be in her best interest to stay away from the new kids. As many of you know, telling your partner what they can and can't do isn't the smartest thing to do in the world but unfortunately, our resident music boy didn't understand that until today. And then rumours have it that Archie didn't even listen the first time around and decided to make another commotion both during and after biology this afternoon. Sources say it's because two new kids sat next to Veronica, not that she knew they were the new kids.

Could this be the end for our favourite couple?Don't worry we will keep you informed.

Veronica wasn't surprised that this happened, she knew that the argument she had with Archie would end up in the Blue and Gold, she was surprised that the way she and Jughead behaved in class wasn't mentioned at all.

After laughing about the article and texting her boys Veronica drifted off to sleep, she knew the week was going to be crazy. After all, at the end of this week was the Prom and the Prom Afterparty.
