Christmas Miracles

Chapter Seven

Moving out into the snow was the stupidest thing with driving. But thank god his truck had four wheel drive and snow chains. He was barely able to see the road. However he was able to make it without incident to the hospital. He was thinking about his Christmas present in his coat pocket. He was curious and was going to follow his wife's orders to the letter.

Making it into the underground parking lot of the hospital and turning the wipers off. He was going to use his gloves to remove the snow from the window and delicate wipers. Finding the perfect parking spot with taking a quick breather. He headed to take the elevator to the fourth floor waiting room of the maternity ward.

Nicholas Torres was coaxing his wife to try and bare and grin it with each and every contraction. Though it wasn't that time to deliver the baby. Doctor Silvers will say the following... "She's not dilated enough to begin pushing. I will be back soon to check Elle again."

Watching her leave. Eleanor Bishop wanted to know on whether Nick had called Oklahoma. "Whoa Elle! You need to take it easy now. I called them as with Gibbs and the others. I just hope that Gibbs will be able to make it in this storm with his truck?"

"Knowing Gibbs and the way he drives. He will get here no matter what." Bishop will say with the next contraction to hit her like a hammer. While was holding her hand tightly until it past.

Meanwhile in the waiting room Gibbs had met up with McGee sitting having coffee and with his laptop on the side of him. "Hey Boss how's the road now?"

"Are you kidding McGee? I was lucky to get here with the plows working hard to clear the snow. It's the goddamn wind that is making it hard to drive at times." He will say to his senior field agent. "Any word on Elle and the baby?"

"Not yet. However I understand from the nurse that Torres is coming out to talk with us. And speak of the devil there he is Boss." Torres walked in wearing his black leather jacket.

"How's elle with the contractions?" Gibbs will have to asked with moving over to him to shake his hand.

"We are getting closer with each and every contraction. Doctor Silvers had mention that it might be a couple of more hours before she finally delivers." It was Torres that Special Agent Gibbs had pulled out his very special Christmas present. "What's that Gibbs?" Torres was curious.

"A Christmas present from Loreile. She said to open it once I was able to talk with you about Elle. And now I am going to open it as per her instructions." Opening it up with pulling out the two thin films with both being a ultrasound of her stomach and the showing of a baby growing inside.

His face was one of pure enjoyment. "What is it boss?" Timothy McGee will have to say with getting up from his chair.

"OMG! I can't believe it I am going to be a father again. Shane is going to be having company with either a brother or sister to play with. It's a no wonder she had been acting strange the past few days.

"Congrats Boss. Now you need to call Loreile and let her know that you're proud." McGee replied with glee with asking.

"Actually I am. We had been praying that it was going to happen again with my age. I know that it sounds cryptic in how I say it . But I need to be realistic for when it comes to life in general with my NCIS job dangerous. And look how many times I had been shot lately and tortured."

"That's for sure. Look I need to get back inside before they come looking for me." Nick said with walking out of the waiting room to head back to the berthing room with Elle and the nurse helping with her contractions.

Loreile was laying down on the couch in the living room worried for the most part. She had gotten up to turn on the tv with watching the weather reports on how much more this area was going to be expecting further snow. The weather forecasters had predicted another six more inches along with the swirling winds and dropping further with the temperatures.

It was close to midnight when her phone rang. She jumped with moving off the couch to grab her cell phone to be her husband with news. "OMG! Jethro, you scared me half the death. Did Elle have the baby or what?"

"She finally did five minutes ago as Nick came out excited with the news and with passing out cigars with having his son. By the way I won the pool with the baby's weight 6 pounds 16 ounces to win $200.00. And speaking of which I am very happy with my Christmas present Loreile. When I finally get home within the hour I plan to celebrate further..."

"So you love being a dad again?" She had to say with enthusiasm in her gleeful demeanor.

"Hell yeah! I will call you when I finally leave the hospital to drive on home. By the way how is Shane?" He needed to asked about his son.

"Are you kidding? He's excited about Christmas and with opening his presents like Daddy was earlier. The nanny and myself finally was able to get him back to sleep. I will try to stay up and wait for you. If not Jethro please wake me. I don't wish to miss a single minute of our Christmas time together."

"How well I know it Loreile. I missed out on a great deal for when I had become a marine and trying to take care of my family while on deployment during the holidays." He stated with sadness with his persona and his demeanor. "See you soon and our children." He said with ending the phone call.
