Chapter 33: Divine Fate Compass

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Jiang Feng was only a Level 11 Shifter Tiger King. There were other monsters that were more powerful than he was. Even Divine Beasts.

He could not understand why Ya Di would look for him. It wasn't logical!

Ya Di's big eyes stared at Jiang Feng for a while, and said, "Because you have the ability to evolve without limit, and you can even fuse the Bloodline of the different Shifter race. I can feel it clearly within, you already had the bloodline of the Canine race, Wolf race, Tiger race, and Skywind Dragon race within you. The Tiger Bloodline is the strongest, at Rank 5!"

"The Shifter Emperor Donghuang Taiyu was originally a Tripedal Golden Crow. But it was because of the same ability to limitlessly evolve and possessing the bloodline of the other races that allowed him to create the Shifters. You possess the same ability as Donghuang Taiyi, and the only one of us that can restore the Shifters to our former glory. That is why I sought you out!"

"Just as I thought!"

After listening to Ya Di's explanation, he realized that it was as she had said. He could fuse with the various race's bloodlines, and he could evolve limitlessly.

If it was just as she said, then it was possible for him to reach the level of Donghuang Taiyi in the future. Perhaps, reaching even greater heights than he did.

He was pleased to have heard of it and was also very excited.

Once he became someone at Donghuang Taiyi's height, the equipment, gold, and other resources can be exchanged for a large amount of yuan.

With that money, he and his father no longer needed to feed the animals. They could live a wealthy life.

Once he thought of this, his eyes beamed and asked Ya Di, "Tell me, what should I do?"

"You sure you want to bear this burden for the Shifters?" Ya Di asked.

"I am sure!"

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on accepting the Shifter's Main Quest: Reform the Donghuang Bell, Restore the Shifters. This quest has a time limit of five years. If you fail, your character will be permanently deleted. If you succeed, you shall be awarded an abundant but unknown reward!

"Damn, there's a time limit! If I don't finish this in five years, does that mean I can no longer play this game?!"

Hearing the system's voice, Jiang Feng's face paled and he became regretful.

"You do not have to be pessimistic, you will succeed," Ya Di said as she comforted him. She then continued, "Remember, other than you the Divines and Infernals would have others that bear the burden of their destiny. If you meet up with them, be careful. Their powers are no weaker than yours!"

"Damn it! Not only do I have to reform the Donghuang Bell, restore the Shifters and I have to face two powerful opponents. I have nowhere to run to this time," Jiang Feng could only curse with a cry.

"You now bear the fate of the Shifters. You can ask me for a piece of equipment, a skill, a pill, a bloodline, a rune, and other items. As long as I can satisfy you, I shall do my best. Of course, I can only give you one. Otherwise, I will be destroyed by the Lord of this World," said Ya Di.

"Equipment? Skill? Bloodline? Pill? Runes and even other items? No matter what level? All mine to choose?" Ya Di's words made Jiang Feng excited once again.

"Yes, your choice. But remember, if you choose a Divine Artifact, their stats will be suppressed. Otherwise, you will not be able to use them," Ya Di said while nodding.

Once he had received Ya Di's confirmation, he was so excited that he almost jumped up and down.

All his complaints before this were all gone. You must be joking! For a quest to have such rewards, it was so very abnormal.

After his initial excitement, he then fell into deep thought.

Equipment, skills, pills, and bloodline could be obtained through the Monster Transmutation System.

Even if he had a Divine Artifact that was suppressed, he would have a great advantage early on. But this advantage would fall once the game progressed into the later stages.

While he could still use a Skill in the later stages, but skill damage was related to his base damage. If his damage wasn't high enough, even the powers of a Divine level skill would be limited.

While he had never gotten a pill, but even a Divine level pill was a one-use item, so he wouldn't choose it.

Bloodline? If he had no evolution pills to increase his ranks, even if he had a Divine-Level Bloodline, it would give him some extra free attribute points at most, and this wouldn't make him very powerful. Just like when he had the Skywing Dragon's bloodline, he still needed the evolution pill to increase his ranks one by one.

If an evolution pill could increase the rank by one, then he wouldn't mind choosing a Bloodline. Since eighteen evolution pills would allow him to reach the top.

Unfortunately, if the bloodline of the monster did not reach 100%, the extra attribute points that he could gain from evolution would be decreased. He wouldn't even be able to evolve at the later stages.

"What do you think I should choose?"

After thinking for a long time, Jiang Feng still didn't know what he should choose. In the end, he gave up and asked Ya Di for her suggestions.

She was the hierophant of the Shifters, the second in command after the Shifter Emperor. She was very knowledgeable and should be able to give him some good suggestions.

"I suggest that you should choose the Divine Artifact Divine Fate Compass. This compass has the ability to hunt for treasures. With this treasure, you can even find Divine Artifacts if your luck is good. This is the best item that I have available on me," said Ya Di after she gave it a thought and remembered about a certain item.

"Alright then. The compass it is!"

Once he heard about its ability to hunt for even Divine Artifacts, he chose the Divine Fate Compass without hesitation.

An item that would allow him to find various treasures, he would be a fool not to choose a treasure tree like this!

Just as he had finished making his choice, a light shone on Ya Di's palm. Next, a compass glowing a prismatic light appeared within her hand.

The compass pointed to the eight directions: the East, West, South, North, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. In each direction, five scales were caved. The center of the compass was a pointer, and underneath the pointer was the display for the coordinates.

"The Divine Life Compass's accuracy is based on your Luck. The higher your luck is, the higher its accuracy!" Ya Di reminded.

"Alright."

He had no lack of Luck. Once his level increased, all the free attribute points would be allocated to Luck. This would allow his luck to reach the max.

Divine Fate Compass: Divine-Level Item

Treasure Hunt: Searches for rare treasure within a hundred Chinese miles. Useable 3 times per day.

Equipping Prerequisite: Blood Bond (After being bonded to a master, unless the bonding is broken willingly, it cannot be dropped, stolen or traded.)

The Divine Fate Compass had only a few abilities, but they were all very powerful. He played it with his hands for a bit as he suppressed the impulse to test it. He Blood Bonded with it and then kept it in the Spatial Bracelet.

"We have limited time. Come, follow me to where the Donghuang Bell was sealed in the Imperial Dragon City!" Said Ya Di as she saw that Jiang Feng had put away the Divine Fate Compass and stepped on the Teleportation Circle.

Jiang Feng did not hesitate. He jumped and landed next to Ya Di.

Ya Di's Dragonhead Staff knocked on the Teleportation Circle, and it released a bright light that enveloped both. With a "whoosh!", both of them disappeared.

Underneath the Imperial Dragon City, there existed a palace. And this palace was located deep underneath an underwater river.

The magnificence of this palace was equal to that of the Imperial Dragon City.

In the middle of the palace was a grand crystal palace, and within that crystal palace, a bell as tall as a man was being imprisoned by a light barrier. The light barrier was then bound by chains with mysterious runes engraved on them.

The entire crystal palace was abnormally silent.

Whoosh!

At this time, a woman and a tiger appeared within the crystal palace, breaking its peace.

Those two were indeed Jiang Feng and Ya Di, who had been teleported over via the Teleportation Circle.

Ding! System Prompt. Congratulations on discovering the "Dragon City Riverbed". You have been awarded 5,000 experience points.

Chapter 34: Breaking the Seal

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Ding! System Prompt. Congratulations on discovering the "Dragon City Riverbed". You have been awarded 5,000 experience points.

"Dragon City Riverbed!"

After hearing the voice from the system, Jiang Feng was taken aback before opening his map to take a look.

From the map, his current position should be thousands of meters underneath the Imperial Dragon City.

He never would have thought that underneath the Imperial Dragon City would be another playable area. If it wasn't because he had accepted the Shifter's Main Quest, perhaps no players could have found this area in decades.

After giving some praises to the game's designers, he then looked at the crystal palace in front of him

The crystal palace's walls were made of white crystals and blue crystals. Most of them were white crystals. The blue crystals were only as large as thumbs and they had runes carved inside of them, and then they were slotted into the white crystals. Even within the darkness of the riverbed, the entire crystal palace was unnaturally bright.

After giving the crystal palace a simple look, his attention finally fell onto the bell that was enchained in the middle of the crystal palace.

"Donghuang Bell!"

Donghuang Bell: One of the Primordial Divine Artifact (Fragmented)

Introduction: A naturally formed treasure that was held by Donghuang when he was born at the beginning of Chaos. Also called the Chaos Bell. It possessed powerful abilities such as to command the Shifters. It was shattered when the Ten Primordial Divine Artifacts clashed with each other and was sealed by the Divine Emperor Xuanyuan at the riverbed underneath Imperial Dragon City.

Stats: ???

The Donghuang Bell was as tall as a man, and on it, many strange symbols were carved into it. Jiang Feng could not understand any of them.

But what he could clearly see was that the cracks on the Donghuang Bell had separated it into 108 pieces.

"Once I've destroyed the seal, I will awaken the Dragon Emperor's fragmented soul. But the Dragon Emperor is also one of us Shifters. I can sacrifice myself to suppress it. Once his fragmented soul has been destroyed, the seal shall also be broken. The moment the seal is broken, the fragments of the Donghuang Bell shall scatter all over the world. You must use everything you have to collect all the Donghuang Bell's fragments the moment the seal was broken.

"After you have collected all the Donghuang Bell fragments, you may then use your blood to glue the Donghuang Bell fragments when you have hundreds of bloodlines within you. And it will then reform on its own!" Ya Di told Jiang Feng in a whisper as she looked at the Donghuang Bell with complex emotions.

"Alright," said Jiang Feng as he took out the Qiankun Gourd.

"Hm? A piece of Lianyao Flask!"

Seeing Jiang Feng taking out the Qiankun Gourd, Ya Di's eyes beamed and she was astonished.

"That's right, this is one of the three pieces of the Lianyao Flask," Jiang Feng confirmed to Ya Di.

"Haha! With the Qiankun Gourd, you can gather even more Donghuang Bell fragments," Ya Di said eagerly. "While the Qiankun Gourd has limited abilities, it had one hidden ability. That is the ability to absorb. By sacrificing a little of your health, you can absorb anything you designated into itself. Of course, this can only be used on inanimate objects. If a living subject does not resist, you can also absorb it into the gourd."

"Where is the hidden ability?" Jiang Feng asked Ya Di in confusion.

He had seen the Qiankun Gourd's stats, there was no ability called absorb.

"I will activate it for you," said Ya Di as she took the QIankun Gourd, then dripped a drop of her blood onto it. The Qiankun Gourd released a ray of light, but it disappeared very quickly.

Once he took it back and looked at the Qiankun Gourd's stats again, a new ability appeared.

Absorb: Absorb designated item by sacrificing 500 points of HP every second. The more valuable and bigger the item is, the slower the speed of absorption.

"Um... 500 health every second. With my 14,000 HP, I could at most do this for 28 seconds. While this skill was useful at the later stages of the game, if I use it at the earlier stages I might kill myself by accident." Jiang Feng said helplessly as he looked at this new ability.

"I'm going to break the seal, stand aside and be ready!"

At this time, Ya Di warned Jiang Feng and she walked towards the sealed Donghuang Bell.

Jiang Feng quickly grabbed the Qiankun Gourd by his mouth to the corner of the crystal palace.

"Ha!"

Ya Di cried out coldly, and her body began to burn. The Dragonhead Staff shot out an azure-colored ball of fire and engulfed the light barrier and chains.

Boom!

At the moment that she attacked, the entire crystal palace trembled.

"Roar! Who dares to break the seal over the Donghuang Bell!"

At this time, an orange-colored dragon swam over. His five-fingered claws continuously moved in the river water, and his huge dragon head was full of majesty. However, his body was not solid but was instead slightly ethereal.

Whoosh!

Once the orange dragon swam over, he turned into an old man in a yellow robe with long horns.

Dragon Emperor: Earth Dragon Emperor

Stats: ???

"Dragon Emperor. You were originally the most powerful among the Earth Dragons. I never would have thought that you have become the Divines' slave!" Ya Di looked at the Dragon Emperor, her eyes filled with killing intent.

"The Shifter Hierophant!" The Dragon Emperor was slightly surprised when he saw Ya Di, and then a dragon pearl the size of a watermelon appeared in his hand and he darted it towards her. "The Shifters are gone! I am now the highest Dragon Emperor amongst the Divines, and no longer a Shifter! I care not who you are, if you would break the Donghuang Bell's seal, then I shall kill you!"

"Hoho, then I shall borrow your power to destroy the seal!"

Ya Di smiled coldly, and her burning body appeared next to the Dragon Emperor. Next, the blue flames engulfed the Dragon Emperor and smashed him towards the Donghuang Bell.

"Crap!"

Seeing this, Jiang Feng quickly hid into the Qiankun Gourd.

Boom!

A large explosion came from outside the Qiankun Gourd, and even the inside of the Qiankun Gourd was trembling endlessly.

"Boss, what's going on out there? Isn't it a bit too lively?" The Flaming Tiger King inside the Qiankun Gourd asked as he came towards Jiang Feng when he saw him.

"Nothing!" Jiang Feng replied. When it was quiet outside, he then left the Qiankun Gourd.

"This..."

When he appeared within the Crystal Palace again, both Ya Di and the Dragon Emperor had disappeared. Even the Crystal Palace had been destroyed. Even the light barrier and chains that were binding the Donghuang Bell was gone.

Buzz.

At this time, the cracked Donghuang Bell began to vibrate.

"Now!"

Seeing this, Jiang Feng used his mouth to grab the Qiankun Gourd and aimed it at the Donghuang Bell and used its "Absorb" ability.

Whoosh.

The moment that he used the Absorb ability, a ray of light shot out from the gourd and surrounded the Donghuang Bell, and pulling it into the Qiankun Gourd.

-500.

-500.

-500.

...

"Faster! Faster!"

Looking at his depleting HP, Jiang Feng became anxious and kept on muttering.

Crack!

The Donghuang Bell was closing towards the Qiankun Gourd, but when it was almost at the gourd, it broke. Pieces of it began to fly everywhere.

"No!"

Seeing this, Jiang Feng quickly used his paw to smack one of the pieces that flew by him onto the ground.

While the moment it broke, many of the Donghuang Bell's fragments had been pulled into the Qiankun Gourd, but there were still around 50 fragments that flew out of the Dragon City Riverbed.

Whoosh.

At this moment, prismatic light began to fly out around the Imperial Dragon City. All the players were surprised as they saw the flying prismatic lights.

"Oh damn, don't tell me a treasure is revealing itself!"

"Haha, I got one! Oh damn! This is one of the pieces of the Primordial Divine Artifact, the Donghuang Bell! I'm going to be rich!"

"Crap, let your hand go! I got this one first!"

...

At this moment, all of the players at Imperial Dragon City chased after the prismatic light. Some of the players were quite lucky, once the prismatic lights flew out, they instinctively caught them in their hands. They would quickly throw it into their inventory and continue to grab the other prismatic lights.

At this time, the entire player base in Imperial Dragon City had gone mad.

Chapter 35: Snatch the Fragments

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Dragon City Riverbed. Jiang Feng looked at all the fragments that flew out and he became agitated.

He threw the Donghuang Bell fragment into the Qiankun Gourd and then activated his High-Speed Movement skill. He quickly followed a slightly bigger fragment.

After chasing it down, he quickly appeared within the Imperial Dragon City's moat.

Seeing that the fragment almost rushed out from the river, he quickly increased his speed and used his two paws to grab it tightly, then kept it into the Qiankun Gourd.

"This is going to be annoying!"

At the same time, he noticed that a lot of other fragments had blasted out of the moat and flew outwards from the Imperial Dragon City towards every direction. Some of them had even been caught by players with quick hands.

If these fragments had flown to other places, he could still find a way to find them back.

But if they fall into the hands of players, then it would not be easy to get them back. Even if they can ask for them back, they would have to pay a steep price.

"Haha! I got one! I got one!"

"Look! The people from Myth Group had managed to get three!"

...

Jiang Feng looked towards the city, and he saw Shen Ye and his underlings managed to snatch three of the Donghuang Bell's fragments.

Jiang Feng became angered as he saw that, and cursed under his breath. 'Damn it, taking them back is going to be a problem.'

"Do not approach the Imperial Dragon City, beast! Otherwise, we shall show you no mercy!" said two of the Level 100 guards as they pointed their spears at him when he approached the city gate, hoping to sprint over and reclaim the Donghuang Bell fragments.

"Roar! Damn you!" Jiang Feng extended his paw and raised his middle finger at them, then turned tail and ran.

The two guards did not react to his reproach, but Shen Ye, who had just kept the Donghuang Bell fragments saw him.

"It was that white tiger!"

Shen Ye squinted his eyes and saw Jiang Feng outside of the gates.

His mind began to churn, and when he saw the number of players around him, a plan formed in his mind. He yelled, "Look, there's a boss outside the gate! Myth Group, follow me and kill it!"

After that, he then headed towards the gate and the few from Myth Group followed suit and pursued him.

"Boss?"

When the players nearby heard the word boss and saw how excited Shen Ye was, it caught their attention and all of them ran towards the outside of the city.

While they didn't get any of the Donghuang Bell fragments, it would be great if they could kill a boss and get some great equipment.

A few hundred players rushed out of the city, all of them were thinking of killing a boss.

"Hm?"

Just as Jiang Feng had prepared to leave, he heard the battle cries from behind him. He turned to look, and he smiled.

He was originally thinking of going into the city to kill-steal the Donghuang Bell fragments.

But now that they all had come out to kill him, he had no need to snatch any from them. All he needed to do was for them to come to him so that he could take their lives, and give him their fragments.

After Shen Ye came out and saw that Jiang Feng had stopped dead in his tracks, he then slowed down his pursuit, letting the players from behind him go first.

As the boss of a company, he had the mind to lead it. He had used many similar tactics that grant him advantages after two sides had tired themselves out.

Seeing Shen Ye had slowed down and hid behind the other players, Jiang Feng had naturally guessed his intention as he smiled coldly.

"Roar!"

He did not alert Shen Ye and sprinted towards the players that were at the forefront.

-2341.

With one swipe, he had critically damaged the player at the front and instantly killed him.

The players close to the player that had been killed were taken aback by that and quickly retreated. Unfortunately, the players behind them didn't see Jiang Feng had instantly killed that player and continued to advance forward. And this had blocked the players' retreat!

At this time, a large group of players had gathered tightly.

Seeing what had happened, Jiang Feng's eyes beamed and quickly used his skill, yelling "Tornado!"

Whoosh.

As soon as he had finished his word, a giant tornado around a dozen meters tall appeared from underneath their feet and threw them all into the air.

-640.

-590.

-611.

...

A lot of red numbers floated in the air on the tornado, and many players had died in the winds before the tornado's duration had ended.

"This..."

As he saw this scene, Shen Ye was shocked and quickly called out to the other players from Myth Group, "This boss has become even stronger, we can't beat it! Retreat!"

"You can't escape me!"

Just as Shen Ye had prepared to retreat, a white light blinked and something had appeared next to him.

"Die!"

The white light was Jiang Feng, who had used the tornado as a cover as he headed towards Shen Ye. When he noticed that he was going to retreat, he immediately used his High-Speed Movement skill to quickly make his way to him.

"Damn!" Shen Ye cursed loudly when he saw Jiang Feng pounce towards him, and took out his bow then released a shot towards him.

Zhan Cang and a few other players from Myth Group had come over, all of them trying to save Shen Ye.

Unfortunately, Jiang Feng had ignored all of their attacks. He swiped at Shen Ye's shoulder and smacked him to the ground. Then he opened his bloody jaw and munched at Shen Ye's neck. Blood spurted everywhere.

-2013.

It was a critical hit, and Shen Ye was instantly killed.

Ding!

After Shen Ye was killed, he had dropped three items. A piece of equipment and two Donghuang Bell fragments.

Jiang Feng's eyes beamed and quickly picked up the three items.

Ding!

At this time, the tornado had dissipated. One more Donghuang Bell fragment had fallen from the sky, and he was overjoyed.

He never would have thought that there was someone from this group of players who had managed to snatch a fragment.

He did not continue the fight with Zhan Cang, but instead quickly sprinted towards the Donghuang Bell fragment, picked it up and ran away.

He saw that more players had rushed out of the city just now. If he were to continue to stay, he would be in danger.

Since both Tornado and High-Speed movement had entered cooldown, he would be in grave danger if he was surrounded when he had no usable high-damaging skills.

After he left the Imperial Dragon city, he then randomly chose a direction and continued forward.

In between, he began to check on the Donghuang Bell fragments.

At this point in time, he possessed 72 Donghuang Bell fragments. Meaning that there were still 36 pieces missing.

"I hope that those missing 36 pieces wouldn't all fall into the hands of players. If not, that would be very troublesome."

Jiang Feng's strong limbs walked into a forest as he muttered under his breath.

"I need to find more bloodline at this time and try to get a hundred bloodlines quickly. I also needed to improve one of my bloodlines to the Divine-Beast level. Only then would I have the strength to look for the missing pieces!"

"But before this, I needed to train a group of powerful followers. Only then would the speed of my growth increase!"

As he thought about it, he looked at the opened map and let the Flaming Tiger King out from the Qiankun Gourd.

"You finally let me out, boss! I almost got sick from staying in there for too long," said the Flaming Tiger King excitedly as he came out.

"Flaming Tiger, didn't you want to grow stronger? Let's go, I will help you increase your strength!"

Jiang Feng said to the Flaming Tiger King, then quickly ran towards a set direction.

Chapter 36: Leveling the Flaming Tiger King

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

West of Imperial Dragon City, Blackwind Valley.

Territory of the Level 15 Blackwind Tiger.

Jiang Feng stood in front of the entrance to the Blackwind Valley and looked at the hundreds of Blackwind Tigers that were walking around.

The Flaming Tiger King followed behind him, and then glanced at the Blackwind Valley and asked curiously, "Boss, this is the territory of the Blackwind Tiger King. What are we doing here?"

Jiang Feng smiled at him, "It is to increase your power, of course. Follow me."

With that, he rushed into the Blackwind Valley, and taunted a Blackwind Tiger that was roaming at the edge.

"Roar!"

The Blackwind Tiger that was attacked by Jiang Feng let out a roar, then rushed towards him.

With that, he turned and ran, then stood next to the Flaming Tiger King and said, "Quickly, go stand next to the Blackwind Tiger."

"Huh?" The Flaming Tiger King was confused.

"What are you doing? If you want to increase your power, go!" He shouted at the Flaming Tiger King coldly.

"Okay."

Once he remembered that Jiang Feng could make him as powerful as the White Tiger, he gave him an okay and then dashed towards the Blackwind Tiger.

"Transmute Monster!"

Once the Flaming Tiger King had gone next to the Blackwind Tiger, Jiang Deng quickly used his Transmute Monster skill.

Bang!

A giant cauldron fell from the sky, covering both the Flaming Tiger King and Blackwind Tiger.

Ding! System Prompt: Please choose the main monster and ingredient monster. If the transmutation succeeded, the main monster shall fuse with the ingredient monster and have its powers increased. If the transmutation fails, the main monster shall remain unchanged, but the ingredient monster will disappear.

When he heard the voice from the system, he immediately chose the Flaming Tiger King to be the main monster.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmutation failed!

The giant cauldron disappeared and the Flaming Tiger King staggered out in a daze.

As for the Blackwind Tiger, it disappeared.

"Um... I failed?"

Jiang Feng did not expect his first fusion to fail, and he began to give some thought into it.

When he was fusing the Piebald Tigers, his success rate was 70%. The 70% chance, and if he included his current increased Luck, the fusion shouldn't have ended up in failure.

"Perhaps it's because of the racial difference?"

As he thought of this, he felt that it was possible.

When he had been fusing the Piebald Tigers, he had fused two Piebald Tigers together. Both of them were the same type of monsters, so they don't reject each other that strongly. Not to mention that the Blackwind Tiger was still alive, so it was resisting his skill. Therefore, his failing wasn't that strange at all.

Continue!

While he had failed the first time, Jiang Feng did not give up. After one minute had passed, he had asked the Flaming Tiger King to attract a Blackwind Tiger, and he then fused them again!

His second time was still a failure!

For the third time, he did not have the Flaming Tiger King to fuse with a living Blackwind Tiger. Instead, he had worked together with the Flaming Tiger King and killed a Blackwind Tiger, he then fused the corpse together with the Flaming Tiger King directly.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful!

And for the third time, the Flaming Tiger King had finally fused with a Blackwind Tiger.

"Looks like fusing with a corpse gives the highest success rate, but it's a bit troublesome," mumbled Jiang Feng in his mind as he looked at the Flaming Tiger King that had successfully fused.

"Haha! Boss, I've become stronger!" The Flaming Tiger King exclaimed excitedly as he went towards Jiang Feng after the fusion.

He looked at the Flaming Tiger King's stats. His HP had increased by 1000, Attack by 50, and Defense by 20.

All in all, not a bad result.

"This was nothing, I will make you stronger!" He promised the Flaming Tiger King so that he would follow him loyally.

"Thanks, boss, if you can make me stronger, my life is yours from now on!" said the Flaming Tiger King excitedly after he had the first taste of power.

"Alright," Jiang Feng nodded and then ordered him, "Go and kill a Blackwind Tiger and bring its corpse here. I will continue to make you stronger."

"Alright!"

The Flaming Tiger King agreed and was just going to kill a monster. However, Jiang Feng suddenly told him to stop.

"Wait, can you check if you can receive a party request?"

In his status window, he also had the ability to form parties. He was going to try if he could form a party with monsters, and so sent an invitation to form a party.

"I can. Should I agree to it?" The Flaming Tiger King blinked his tiger eyes at him as he asked.

"Of course you should."

Jiang Feng rolled his eyes at the Flaming Tiger King.

What kind of joke was this? If he could form a party, that means that he could feed on the experience points.

After forming a party with the Flaming Tiger King, he then had the Flaming Tiger King to kill a monster.

As for him, he was thinking of finding a way to find the fragments of the Donghuang Bell.

Killing monsters and leveling up were the jobs of his followers. There was no need for him to do it himself as he had become the boss.

'I can trade for the Donghuang Bell fragments, as they are useless for the players. So, I'm pretty sure that there are those that will want to sell it. But the money that I have now will not be sufficient to buy it from. Not to mention that I still don't have enough money on me to pay back my loan, so I can't use the money on me yet. That's right, there is something that the players are interested in, I can use it to exchange for the Donghuang Bell fragments!'

As he was thinking of a way to get the Donghuang Bell fragments, he suddenly remembered an item in his Spatial Bracelet.

And that was the Secret Class Class Change Letter!

That letter was equal to a secret class. At this stage, there weren't many players that had reached Level 10 and had switched classes. If he took this letter out, he would no doubt cause a commotion.

As he thought of this, he used one of the new functions that the game had added after the update. And that was the Trading Hall.

The Trading Hall was similar to the Marketplace. The main page was about the recommended items that were on sales.

The slots of the recommended items on the main page were reserved for the rare items to increase their exposure and trading amount.

At this time, there were already many items in the Trading Hall. Most of them were class-change quest items and some good equipment.

After giving it a thought, he clicked on the trading button on the trading hall and placed the Secret-Class Class Change Letter on it. And the item needed for the trade was "Donghuang Bell Fragments x10."

He did not choose to sell the Secret-Class Class Change Letter.

First of all, he didn't know the true value of the Secret-Class Class Change Letter. Secondly, he didn't know if the money he got from it would be enough to buy the Donghuang Bell Fragments!

The Donghuang Bell fragments did not have any stats, but it was a piece of a Primordial Divine Artifact. And therefore, it lacked a fixed price. If the players drove the price up, he would be making a loss if he couldn't buy it with the money that he gained from selling the letter.

On the other hand, as he used the Secret-Class Class Change Letter to exchange for the Donghuang Bell fragment, both of them had no fixed price and the players could only use quantity to judge its worth. That way, if there were players that really wanted the letter, they would spend their money to buy the fragments and use it to exchange with him.

As for how they would collect the Donghuang Bell fragments, that was not his concern.

After he had settled the Secret-Class Class Change Letter, he then placed all the pieces of equipment from his Spatial Bracelet in the Trading Hall. Even the top equipment "Greenwind Staff" on the Equipment Leaderboard and he noted down that he would trade using bank transfer.

After he had cleared the items in the Spatial Bracelet, he then closed the Trading Hall.

What he didn't know was that once he had placed the Secret-Class Class Change Letter and all the equipment on the trading hall, his action had once again got many players to discuss it.

Chapter 37: Commotion Caused by the Secret Class

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

"Damn, how could that boss move everywhere at will? And why would it be so strong? Most importantly, why was it targeting me?!" said Shen Ye angrily as he slammed his hand on the table angry as he sat in the tavern.

By now, Shen Ye had already been killed by Jiang Feng twice.

When he was killed at the volcano and sent back to the Starter Village, his luck wasn't bad. He had managed to accept a hidden quest. Because he fell from Level 9 to 10 and he only needed half the experience for him to get back to where he was. So, he had spent an hour plus to go back to Level 10.

When he had just returned to the Imperial Dragon City, he was then met with the event that the Donghuang Bell fragments flew out from the moat. He even managed to snatch three of the Donghuang Bell fragments.

Unfortunately, his greed and fury against Jiang Feng caused him to die a second time to him.

He Was killed twice by the same monster, and he had even dropped his equipment and two of the Donghuang Bell fragments. It was a great humiliation to him, and it would be strange for him not to get angry.

"Guildmaster Shen Ye, this game was made to be realistic, so it was not strange for monsters to have that level of intelligence. Not to mention, didn't you say you had lodged a complaint? What did the customer service rep say?" Asked a smiling young man with mystique eyes and in armor sitting opposite of Shen Ye as he drank some beer.

The young man with the mystique eyes was called Zhi Qiubai. He was a know-it-all in the gaming world. He had formed an information-broking company, and his relationship with the major companies was quite good.

Shen Ye's face paled as he shook his head and said, "The rep said that this game was like the real world. Everything in this world was generated naturally, and even the designers themselves can't interfere with it. Even if a monster became the game's overlord, it would be considered normal."

Zhi Qiubai smiled with a nod, "Haha, just as I thought! Don't you think that this game is much more interesting and enjoyable this way?"

Shen Ye turned his thinking around, and his eyes beamed. He said, "You're right. If monsters could become this game's overlord, then we as players have even more hope to achieve that. Even if I couldn't become an emperor in the real world, becoming an emperor in the game would be great!"

Zhi Qiubai did not say anything as he drank his beer, but he thought to himself in his mind, 'Never thought that Shen Ye would be so ambitious, hoping to become an emperor in the game.'

"Quickly, look at the Trading Hall! Never thought that someone had gotten a Secret-Class Class Change Letter, and even more so that he would be willing to exchange things for it!"

Suddenly, one of the few players on the table nearby suddenly yelled out.

"What? A secret-class? Don't tell me it's the secret classes that are more powerful than the basic classes?"

"That's right, and the player that took out the Secret-Class Class Change Letter was the game's top player Jiang Feng. Not only that, but he had also placed many great pieces of equipment at the Trading Hall. Hehe, I'll contact him now. He wanted to exchange the Secret-Class Class Change Letter for Donghuang Bell fragments. I don't have any on me, so hopefully, I can buy some equipment!"

...

Secret-Class Class Change Letter?

Hearing the conversation from the players, Shen Ye and Zhi Qiubai quickly checked the Trading Hall.

"Hm?"

Looking at the Trading Hall's recommended items, he saw the Secret-Class Class Change Letter and a few pieces of great equipment. He frowned.

"Weird, didn't I drop my Qingyun Bow by that beast? Why would it be up there?"

"How strange can it be? While the Qingyun Bow is a piece of good Green-Bronze equipment, don't forget that there are plenty of bows with the same name in the game. This one shouldn't be the one you originally owned," Zhi Qiubai said.

"You're right," Shen Ye nodded his head, then he thought of something. He then smiled at Zhi Qiubai and asked, "Since you're the know-it-all in this game, do you know which players have the Donghuang Bell Fragments?"

"It seems you are quite keen on the secret class," Zhi Qiubai remarked as he drank some more beer.

Shen Ye said with resolution in his keen eyes, "The secret class will be mine!"

"A secret class, is it? Chen Mo, go and buy the Donghuang Bell Fragments. We must take this secret class!" Ling Yun instructed Chen Mo who was close to him as he looked at the trading hall while they were at a monster spawning point near the Imperial Dragon City,

At the volcano, Mu Xi had just prepared to bring Nangong Tiaotiao to complete her class-change quest. She originally wanted to get some equipment for her first and opened the Trading Hall.

"This..."

Looking at the first page of the Trading Hall, her eyes looked at disbelief. She quickly turned to Nangong Tiaotiao and said, "Tiaotiao, you have added Jiang Feng as a friend. Please tell him that I will want all the equipment that he had put on the Trading Hall. Ask him to save the Secret-Class Class Change Letter for me."

"Okay."

Because of Jiang Feng's departure, she wasn't feeling that well. But she still nodded as she looked at Mu Xi.

While many players wanted to get the Secret-Class Class Change Letter and the few great pieces of equipment that Jiang Feng wanted to sell, he was leveling the Flaming Tiger King.

"Here I come, boss."

After he had spent half an hour on Transmute Monster, the Flaming Tiger King's power had greatly increased. After having a taste of it, he got even more excited about killing the monster. And now he had killed a Blackwind Tiger and dragged it to Jiang Feng who was also killing monsters.

"Transmute Monster, Transmute!"

He used Transmute Monster on it, then continued to kill the monster without batting an eye at the Flaming Tiger King that was in the process of being fused.

The Flaming Tiger King and he did not have any sort of stress at all, so both of them killed monsters on their own so that their experience points could increase faster.

After he had killed another Blackwind Tiger, the system's voice entered his ear.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on reaching Level 12. You have received 3 free attribute points.

And at this time, the Flaming Tiger King had also completed his fusion. A light glowed from him.

"Haha, I've leveled up!" The Tiger King excitedly roared out as soon as he had appeared, "Not only that, my Tiger race bloodline has reached 100%! I am just one step away from becoming a Rank 5 Flaming Tiger King!"

'Rank 5? The same as I.'

Because he could only check the Flaming Tiger King's basic attributes, he could not see the Flaming Tiger King's base attributes. He could not see all the Flaming Tiger King's stats. Once he heard it from the Flaming Tiger King, he only knew that the Flaming Tiger King was a Rank 4 monster. When his bloodline reached 100%, with one evolution pill he could then evolve to Rank 5, and his stats would be greatly increased. And he would become even more powerful.

'Looks like I have to transmute the monsters next in order to get two evolution pills."

His Skywind Dragon's Bloodline had already reached 100%, and the Flaming Tiger King's bloodline had also reached 100%. So, he needed the evolution pills urgently.

"Your bloodline had already reached 100%, so there was no point in fusing anymore. Next, support me with all you can to kill the monsters, and I will grant you an evolution pill when the time comes. That will help you to evolve into Rank 5!" Jiang Feng said to the Flaming Tiger King.

"Thank you, boss. It was indeed a smart choice to have chosen to join you." The Flaming Tiger King nodded passionately.

After a minute went by and when he was just ready to transmute a Blackwind Tiger's corpse, his friend panel suddenly lit up. It was Nangong Tiaotiao's message.

"Brother Jiang Feng, my big sis said that she wants the Secret-Class Class Change Letter and all the equipment. Can you not sell it?"

'She wants all of it?'

With a smile, Jiang Feng messaged back, "I have added your big sis as a friend, I will talk to her."

He wouldn't sell the Secret-Class Class Change Letter to Mu Xi. To him, money was important. But the Donghuang Bell Fragments were more so.

As for the equipment, if Mu Xi wanted to buy those for a high price he would be more than happy to oblige.

Chapter 38: Hoarding

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

After sending a friend request to Mu Xi, she had accepted it almost instantly.

"All your equipment at the Trading Hall for 30,000. The Secret-Class Class Change Letter for 50,000. 80,000 all in. What do you think?" Mu Xi sent in a message as soon as she was added as a friend.

'80,000!'

Jiang Feng gulped.

Since he was a child, he had mostly seen thousands of yuan and a dozen thousand yuan a few times. However, he had rarely seen a grand sum of 80,000. He was tempted for a second.

He had placed thirteen pieces of equipment at the Trading Hall. One was the Greenwind Staff, ranked top on the leaderboard. Another was the Qingyun Bow, ranked ten on the leaderboard. The others were three Green-Bronze equipment and eight Black-Iron equipment. All of them were Level 10 to 15 equipment with great stats.

30,000 for those were quite reasonable. In fact, the offer she made was towards the higher end, since these pieces of equipment were just for the transition period.

But for the Secret-Class Class Change Letter, he felt that 50,000 wasn't enough.

It was mentioned at the official website that Secret-Classes were extremely rare. There were only fifty of them in each server.

As long as one could class change into a secret class, it would mean strength.

It was useful whether it was at the beginning of the game, or at the endgame. 50,000 wasn't a price that he could accept from Mu Xi.

"Hey beautiful, I don't have a problem with 30,000 for the equipment. But I would only accept the Donghuang Bell fragments in exchange for the Secret-Class Class Change Letter, so... sorry about that!" Jiang Feng replied after giving it a thought.

With 30,000, and the 30,000 in his bank account, it would be enough for him to repay the loan that he owed. He had eventually decided to use the Secret-Class Class Change Letter in exchange for Donghuang Bell fragments.

Since if he couldn't finish the Shifter's main quests, he wouldn't be able to play this game after five years. It also meant that he couldn't use this game to earn a living, and he couldn't use this game to settle both debts and wrongs in a way he saw fit.

"How about 100,000?" Mu Xi replied again.

Jiang Feng could only shake his head with a forced smile and replied, "Beauty, it isn't that I don't want to sell it to you. To tell you the truth, the Donghuang Bell fragments would be of use to me. If you want to have the Secret-Class Class Change Letter, you can buy and collect the Donghuang Bell fragments. Since these fragments are useless in the hands of other players, it should be easy for you to do so."

"What do you want the Donghuang Bell fragments for?" Mu Xi asked, puzzled.

"For a quest. The rewards are quite good. If you could help me collect ten or more fragments, I can sell the equipment that I obtained from the quest to you. What do you think?"

The reason that Jiang Feng would message her that way was to use Mu Xi to help her collect the Donghuang Bell fragments. Since she was quite rich, she would do her best to collect the fragments for him if he promised to sell her the equipment he would receive from completing the quest.

"Alright!"

Just as he thought, Mu Xi had accepted his proposal.

He closed the chatbox and smiled, then used Transmute Monster on the corpse of a Blackwind Tiger in front of him.

He didn't know that as soon as he had interacted with Mu Xi, she had then posted a purchase request on the Trading Hall.

She was offering 5,000 for one Donghuang Bell fragment.

She wasn't the only one, though. Even Shen Ye, the boss from the Myth Group, Ling Yun from Lingyun Pavillion, and other companies that were quite affluent all posted purchase requests for the fragments. The offer was getting higher and higher.

At this time, some of the players that had Donghuang Bell fragments identified themselves and placed the Donghuang Bell fragments for sale at the Trading Hall. All of them were trying to sell the fragments for a high price. There were five of them, with the cheapest one being offered for sales at 15,000.

Just as the offers of purchase and sales for the Donghuang Bell fragments at the Trading Hall became lively, Jiang Feng and the Flaming Tiger King had finally met their match.

"Roar! Why did both of you come to my territory and killed so many of my underlings?"

A tiger's howl came accompanied by an angry voice.

From the depths of the valley, a large Blackwind Tiger came forth. This Blackwind Tiger was the Blackwind Tiger King from the Blackwind Valley.

"Hehe, Blackwind Tiger King. You're finally here. I thought you wouldn't dare to come to face us," said the Flaming Tiger King arrogantly once he saw the Blackwind Tiger King appeared.

The Blackwind Tiger King stared at the Flaming Tiger King with murderous intent, "Flaming Tiger King. Why didn't you stay in your own territory? Why did you come to my territory and kill my underlings? You have a deathwish?"

"A deathwish? We don't even know who will die yet," said the Flaming Tiger King with a jeer.

"Alright," Seeing that the Flaming Tiger King was acting arrogant, Jiang Feng couldn't continue watching him. He rolled his eyes at him, then walked towards the Blackwind Tiger King, and asked, "Blackwind Tiger King, would you like to follow my lead?"

"Follow you?" The Blackwind Tiger King sneered.

"Yes. As long as you follow me, I will make you stronger, as strong as the Divine Beast White Tiger! What do you think?" Asked Jiang Feng as he ignored his sneer.

"You?" The Blackwind King smiled and roared, "You are even weaker than I am, and you boast that you can make me an equal to the Divine Beast White Tiger? What a joke!"

Seeing that the Blackwind Tiger wouldn't accept his suggestion, Jiang Feng decided that he shouldn't further waste his breath. He turned to the Flaming Tiger King and said, "Go and show him what is called true power!"

"Blackwind! You and I are both Rank 4! Since you don't believe it, then I would show you my current power!" The Flaming Tiger King roared out excitedly as he received the order from Jiang Feng. He had been bearing a grudge against the Blackwind Tiger King for being so insufferable. He lunged at the Blackwind Tiger King.

The Blackwind Tiger King wouldn't show weakness as well and confronted the Flaming Tiger King directly.

The two Tiger Kings dove towards each other, and when both of them were going to ram into each other, the Flaming Tiger King stepped on the ground and jumped to the side, his tiger claw scored the side of the Blackwind Tiger King's abdomen, leaving a long wound behind. A number of around 500 jumped out from its head.

The Blackwind Tiger King yelped out in pain and stared at the Flaming Tiger King in disbelief.

From the damage and tactic that the Flaming Tiger King used, it could be seen that the Flaming Tiger King was much more powerful than it was. It couldn't understand that despite its power is much stronger than his, why would he be suppressed.

It squinted at Jiang Feng who was relaxing nearby, and thought to himself, 'Perhaps it was really him that made the Flaming Tiger King stronger?'

When the Blackwind Tiger wasn't paying attention, a ball of fire came out from the Flaming Tiger King's jaw and smacked right on it and blew him away.

"Roar~"

The Blackwind Tiger became enraged and crawled up from the ground. It unleashed two black wind blades, sandwiching the Flaming Tiger King from two different directions.

However, it had underestimated the Flaming Tiger King's experience from learning how to position himself from Jiang Feng. He quickly jumped twice and easily avoided the Blackwind Tiger's attacks.

One had to know that even if the monsters in the game were intelligent, their intelligence was at a basic level. They do not understand positioning. As long as their aggro was locked at an enemy, all they would do was to keep attacking it. There was no strategy at all.

And that was why the players could win despite being weaker.

After following Jiang Feng in killing monsters for a few hours at the Blackwind Valley and under his tutelage, he had also learned how to avoid attacks and estimate the enemies' attacks.

Looking at the stalemated battle, he was getting bored. So he killed another Blackwind Tiger nearby and continued to use Transmute Monster on it.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one Blackwind Tiger Pelt, one Level 10 Experience Pill, and one Evolution Pill!

"Hm?"

Hearing the system's voice, Jiang Feng was surprised. Seeing the golden pill floating in the flames, he laughed, "Haha, I never would have expected that transmuting a Blackwind Tiger would yield me an Evolution Pill! My luck is too good!"

As he had obtained the Evolution Pill, it released a wondrous fragrance. Both the Flaming Tiger King and Blackwind Tiger King that were locked in battle trembled and looked at the Evolution Pill. Their eyes were filled with intense desire, and both ended the battle darted towards the Evolution Pill.

Seeing this, Jiang Feng smiled. With a wave, he then kept all three items into his Spatial Bracelet.

Chapter 39: Evolution Failed?

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Seeing that Jiang Feng had put away the Evolution Pill, the Flaming Tiger King and Blackwind King became anxious.

"Boss, can you give me that golden pill?" The Flaming Tiger King asked submissively as he looked at Jiang Feng.

"Don't worry, Flaming Tiger. Since you have chosen to follow me, I will not sideline you. If I can make one Evolution Pill, then I can make another one. I won't forget you in the future!" Jiang Feng said to the Flaming Tiger King as he used his strong paw to stroke his whisker and gave the greedy Blackwind Tiger a look.

The reason he said that was to make the Flaming Tiger King more loyal to him. Secondly, it was to find a way to recruit the Blackwind Tiger King.

The Blackwind Tiger King was two levels higher than the Flaming Tiger King, at Level 18. Its stats were only slightly lower than that of the Flaming Tiger King empowered by the fusion. If he could recruit it, it would be of great help.

After hearing Jiang Feng's words, the Blackwind Tiger King did some calculations in his mind and his eyes beamed, then walked next to Jiang Feng. It then asked him kindly, without the pride in voice, "About that... You can really create the golden pills?"

Seeing the Blackwind Tiger King's manner, he smiled and said to it, "As long as you submit to me, I will help you increase your strength as well."

"Roar! Why do you want to help us increase our strength?" The Blackwind Tiger King asked.

"Simple because I want to create a kingdom that belongs to the Shifters. And at that time, you shall all become the highest amongst the Shifters! Even the Divine Beast White Tiger would be listening to your commands."

Jiang Feng continued to charm the Blackwind Tiger King just as he did the Flaming Tiger King.

In this game, the kings of the territories all have their own intelligence and their own consciousness. And for a monster, what was the most important?

That would of course be power and status amongst monsters.

Jiang Feng's words not only promised the Blackwind Tiger King power, but he also promised it status.

As the Blackwind Tiger King's intelligence was limited, it excitedly replied, "Alright. If you would help me increase my power and make even the Divine Beast White Tiger listen to my commands, I will submit to you!"

"Don't worry, I will fulfill my promises," Hearing the Blackwind Tiger King's agreement, Jiang Feng was thrilled.

'Haha! My second follower! My group has just gotten stronger!'

From now on, I'll call you Yanhu and Heifeng1!"

Then Jiang Feng said to Heifeng, "Heifeng, while you couldn't control your minions to fight, but can you have them to not move? I will help you increase your power."

"Of course," Heifeng nodded and called a few Blackwind Tigers to come to Jiang Feng.

Seeing the Blackwind Tigers that heeded Heifeng's calls, Jiang Feng thought to himself. 'Looks like the king of a territory does have the ability to control his minions. But if they are not in their minions' aggro radius, they would not be able to control them to fight.'

After he had recruited Heifeng, their speed in killing monsters became even faster.

He had also helped Heifeng to fuse with other Blackwind Tigers, increasing his strength that way.

When Heifeng's Tiger race bloodline had reached 100%, only then did he stop helping Heifeng to fuse with others.

"Follow me!"

Seeing that both Yanhu and Heifeng have obtained 100% to their Tiger race bloodline, he called the two tigers to him. Then they headed towards an empty corner.

When he had reached a pile of rocks, he called Yanhu and Heifeng, "Guard over me. I am going to take the golden pill. When I obtain more golden pills in the future, I will give them to you. Let's do this one by one."

"Alright, boss!"

Both Yanhu and Heifeng nodded.

Since Jiang Feng was the boss and he knew how to create the Evolution Pills, it was only natural for the boss to take the first evolution pill and for them to queue up. So when they heard Jiang Feng's words, they did not object.

After he took out the evolution pill, he threw it into his mouth under the passionate gaze of Yanhu and Heifeng.

Burst.

The moment that the Evolution Pill entered his mouth, a burning fire enveloped him.

Ding! System Prompt: You currently possess the Canine race rank 3 bloodline, Tiger race rank 5 bloodline, a slither of Wolf race bloodline, and Dragon race rank 1 bloodline.

Canine Race: Bloodline Limit Rank 5 (Leader)

Tiger Race: Bloodline Limit Rank 18 (Divine Beast)

Wolf Race: Bloodline Limit Rank 16 (Spiritual Beast)

Dragon Race: Bloodline Limit Rank 20 (Sacred Beast)

"Hm? Aren't monsters limited to grow to Rank 18 maximum? There's a Rank 20? Sacred Beast? There were two more levels beyond Divine Beast?"

Jiang Feng was surprised after hearing the system's voice.

After the surprise, he was enraptured.

The Dragon race bloodline could reach Rank 20, a being beyond the power of a Divine Beast. And that meant that as long as he continued to develop towards the Dragon race bloodline, it would be possible for him to become a being at the level of a Sacred Beast.

His excitement had dampened the pain that came from the evolution.

Ten minutes passed very quickly.

Ding! System prompt: Evolution failed, Dragon race bloodline purity at 10%.

What?!

Failed?

'What the heck?!'

This was the first time that Jiang Feng underwent a failed evolution. He was hoping that he could become a dragon, but he never thought that he would fail. He couldn't accept it, and in his utter disappointment he even blurted out a curse in English.

Boom!

The fire cocoon exploded despite his complete disappointment, and his figure began to reappear.

This...

When Yanhu and Heifeng saw him come out of the flaming cocoon, they were both stunned at his form and kept on scanning him.

"What's with the eyes?" Jiang Feng felt worse as he called Yanhu and Heifeng out coldly.

COMMENT

"Boss, your new look is so cool," said Yanhu excitedly.

"That's right! You look great!" Heifeng agreed.

'My current look?'

After giving Yanhu and Heifeng another glance, he quickly opened his status panel and looked at his 3D image.

'Um, what is this thing?'

Looking at his current form, he was left both speechless and helpless.

While there was no change to his general form as he was still a white tiger, his two little horns had grown longer and had even forked out like antlers. The greatest changes were on his limbs and tail.

His four tiger paws had become dragon claws, and his feet had grown dragon scales. His tail was no longer a tiger tail as well and had become the tail of a dragon. As the tails swiped left and right, the wind began to flow giving it a majestic aura.

To him, it looked grotesque. Not only was it not cool, he felt it looked terrible.

"Damn, I only evolved halfway! No wonder the evolution did not succeed!"

Looking at his current look, he finally realized why his evolution had failed.

His guess was that the Evolution Pill was too small and was not enough to support his evolution from a tiger into a dragon.

And then he remembered something and checked at his Dragon race bloodline.

Skywind Dragon Bloodline: Rank 1, Bloodline value 0%, Bloodline Purity 10%.

'Bloodline purity?'

Perhaps the Skywind Dragons weren't pure dragons. While the evolution had failed, his bloodline purity had increased.

'If my guess is correct, I can only become a dragon when my bloodline purity reaches 100%!'

"Looked like monsters needed more than evolution pills to evolve. They needed a bloodline with high purity. Which means a pure bloodline!"

After understanding the reason why he had failed his evolution, his disappointment was all gone.

Since purity was a factor in a bloodline, that meant that even if the strength of the evolution pill was strong enough to make him into a dragon, he would not be able to become one anyway because of his impure bloodline. Failure was guaranteed.

Chapter 40: Treasure Hunt

After understanding the reason why he had failed his evolution, Jiang Feng was feeling much better.

The only regrettable thing was that when he failed his evolution, he did not get another chance to go for the lottery.

"Boss, are you too impressed with your new form?"

Yanhu looked at his surprise and smiled.

"Impressed? Sure. Come on, let's go."

Jian Feng rolled his eyes at Yanhu, took out his Qiankun Gourd, and took Yanhu and Heifeng in.

He opened his map, then ran towards a determined location.

After he had recruited the Blackwind Tiger King, there was no longer a need for him to stay in the Level 15 monster's territory.

The stats for the Level 15 Blackwind Tiger was a bit high after all. Defeating monsters of a higher level than you were would not award you with too many extra experience points. Only 30% extra, to be exact. Unless one chose to defeat Kings of Territories, Spiritual Beasts, Immortal Beasts, and Divine Beasts, only then would the extra experience points gained increase by a great deal.

According to the official website, slaying a King of Territories would give double the experience points. Spiritual Beasts four times. Immortal beasts five times. Divine Beasts ten times!

Killing normal monsters with higher levels would not give you much. Even if the Blackwind Tiger stood there and let him kill it, the time spent killing it would allow him to kill two Level 12 monsters. Then that would be more efficient. That was why he had chosen to leave the Blackwind Valley.

When he was on his way, he opened his status to have a look.

It surprised him that despite his evolution ended up being a failure, his stats had increased by a fair amount.

His HP had increased to 16,000 from 14,000. His Attack increased to 1,357 from 1,257 while his Defense had increased to 650 from 600.

That meant that despite the failure of his evolution, his Health had increased by 2,000, Attack increased by 100, and Defense increased by 50.

He nodded in satisfaction and closed his status window.

After running for a while, he suddenly remembered something and quickly took out the Divine Fate Compass.

'That's right, I still have the Divine Fate Compass on me, and I haven't used it yet. Let me try it.'

Since he had received the Divine Fate Talisman from Ya Di, he hadn't had a chance to use it yet because he had been hunting down the Donghuang Bell fragments and strengthening Yanhu and Heifeng.

After his power had increased, there was nothing else he could do but to Transmute Monster. Then, he thought of the Divine Fate Compass.

He took out the Divine Fate Compass, then walked towards a small forest. He then placed it on his legs.

'Treasure Hunt!' He said and the pointer on the Divine Fate Compass began to spin. The coordinates in the indicator also changed constantly.

Hum...

The moment the Divine Fate Compass began to turn, an extremely cute fairy appeared on the compass.

"This..."

Jiang Feng was quite surprised as he saw the little fairy on the compass.

"Hello, master! I am the Divine Fate Compass's Artifact Spirit. Can you kindly let me know the kind of treasure you seek? I can narrow down the search and help you find what you want, master!" said the little fairy Shen Luo as she smiled at Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng became excited once he heard what Shen Luo told him, he then asked, "Can you help me find the Donghuang Bell fragment?"

If the Divine Fate Compass could help him find the Donghuang Bell Fragments, then collecting all the fragments would become easier.

"Of course!"

Shen Luo smiled, then closed her eyes and then crossed her legs as she sat on the compass.

Hum...

After a short period of buzzing, the ancient writings and some runes floated on to the Divine Fate Compass and became a bright light as they burst and flew everywhere.

After fifteen minutes, Shen Luo finally opened her eyes.

"How did it go? Did you find them?" Jiang Feng asked her impatiently.

"I found it. Six of the fragments are located in cities far from here. Two of the fragments are located to the West and North, and one of the fragments that were closest to you was at the mountain range behind you. The other Donghuang Bell fragments were further away, and were beyond my ability to search," Shen Luo replied with a pale face.

Six of them at the Imperial Dragon City? Two of them at the West and North? And one more at the mountain range behind me?

From what Shen Luo told him, he knew that there were pieces of Donghuang Bell fragments near the Imperial Dragon City.

"Then do you know the fragments' exact locations?" Jiang Feng asked her anxiously.

Shen Luo shook her head and said, "No. Other than two of the fragments, all other fragments were moving. I cannot give you their exact location, only a rough estimation."

'Some fragments were moving? Don't tell me that they have been picked up by players?'

As he thought of that, he then asked Shen Luo again, "Can you tell me where the two fragments that weren't moving are?"

"One of them is behind you, at the Crouching Dragon Range. Its coordinates are 3552.9425. Another one is at the Dragon City Riverbed, its coordinates are 1423.4623."

After Shen Luo had told him the coordinates, she then disappeared.

Because he asked about the coordinates for two objects, the Divine Fate Compass's Treasure Hunt ability's daily usage had decreased by 2. He could still use it once for the day.

After knowing the two Donghuang Bell Fragments' location, he packed up the Divine Fate Compass and ran towards a mountain behind him.

"I never would have thought that one of the fragments never made it out of the Dragon City Riverbed. There will be plenty of players outside of the Imperial Dragon City, I should wait till nighttime. Now, I should search for the fragment in the Crouching Dragon Range," he muttered to himself as he headed deeper into the Crouching Tiger Range quickly. Despite his failure at evolving, his movement speed had increased substantially. In the blink of an eye, his figure had disappeared into the Crouching Dragon Range's outer forests.

The Crouching Dragon Range. Legend said that the mountain range was formed after the death of a Green Dragon.

The entire mountain range was about a thousand Chinese miles in length. It was windingly long with many slopes, and many different monsters of various levels spawn within.

As he moved, the coordinates on his map also changed. Following the changes on his map's coordinate, he quickly reached the place where Shen Luo had told him about.

The current location that he was at the basin in the middle of the Crouching Tiger Range.

The weather in the basin was shadowy, and the scent of rot permeated the air. The dark wind blew, and the sounds of bones grinding together echoed through the entire basin.

This was the territory of the Level 20 monster Skeleton.

Skeleton: Level 20 Monster

Health Points: 20,000

Attack: 650-700

Defense: 300

While the Skeletons' attributes were quite normal, and so was their movement speed, but their number was overwhelming.

Jiang Feng, who had run the way towards this place, had goosebumps sprang all over him as he looked at the green flames that were inside the Skeletons' eye sockets.

"This place is so somber," said Jiang Feng as he gulped. He then muttered under his breath, "What should I be afraid of? This is just a game! I should focus on finding the fragment!"

Saying that, he then headed towards the center of the basin.

Creak...

He only walked a few steps, and all the Skeletons turned their heads towards him and then quickly pursued him.

Seeing around fifty to sixty Skeletons coming towards him, he was very surprised. He never thought that the monsters here would have such a wide aggro radius. He had all the monsters' aggro by just coming close.

With that many Skeletons, he wouldn't be able to kill all the Skeletons. So he had to give up on fighting with the Skeletons and searched the Donghuang Bell's fragments in the basin.

"Why can't I find it? Is it because my luck is not high enough, and the coordinates given aren't accurate enough?" Jiang Feng began to doubt when he still hadn't found the Donghuang Bell fragments after he had kited a large group of Skeletons running around the basin in one big circle.

"Hm?"

Just when he was questioning himself, he saw a cave at a cliff far from where he was.

The entrance of the cave was around half a man wide, and its opening was rugged with many shattered rocks as if something struck on it and created the cave entrance.

'Perhaps it was blasted open by the Donghuang Bell fragment when it fell here? I should go take a look!'

Jiang Feng looked at the cave entrance and decided to go in after giving it a thought.

His four dragon limbs grabbed onto the grounds and he quickly ran towards the cliff. The moment he was going to ram into the cliff, he jumped up and his dragon claws grabbed onto the cliff and climbed towards the cave.

Chapter 41: Dungeon Unlocked

Ding! System Prompt. Congratulations on discovering the "Cave of the Undead". You have been awarded 2,000 experience points.

As soon as he managed to climb to the cavern and he entered it, he heard the system's voice.

Boom!

Next, the small hole in the cliff began to widen up and formed a larger cave. The rocks that fell from the ceiling to the ground became stairs.

Cave of the Undead?

As he heard the content from the system, he checked his map after the initial shock.

Cave of the Undead: Level 15-30 Dungeon

Introduction: There are 5 floors to the Cave of the Undead. Because of the extremely strong presence of Negative Energy, a lot of undead had formed within the Cave of the Undead. The deeper it is, the more powerful the undead becomes. Every level has a boss, and therefore it is recommended for players level 15 to 30 in a group of 2 minimum.

Loot: Monsters in the Cave of the Undead has a chance of dropping Undead equipment set.

Status: Dungeon Locked

"I never thought that Cave of the Undead was still not unlocked. I'm so lucky! Once I've unlocked this dungeon, the awards would be abundant!"

This game had many dungeons, but all of these dungeons require players to unlock them. Those that unlock the dungeon would be rewarded handsomely.

This caused him to become very excited, and he headed into the Cave of the Undead.

AS he went deeper into the cavern, the lights within the cavern lit up.

The cavern was like a secret room and was the size of two soccer fields. Within the secret room was around a hundred Level 15 zombies.

At the corner of the secret rooms were many oil lamps, and they lit up the entire secret room brightly.

While the secret room was bright, he still felt the chills in his bones as he looked at the zombies that have rotting bodies, long teeth, and mangled faces.

Zombies: Level 15

Health Points: 10,000

Attack: 400-500

Defense: 300

While the zombies' HP and Attack were quite normal, their Defense was quite high.

"Hm? There are five levels, but where is the entrance heading to the second level?"

Jiang Feng stood at the edge of the Cave of the Undead and looked for the entrance to the second level, but he couldn't find it even after a long time.

"Yanhu, Heifeng, come to me!" He frowned and took out the Qiankun Gourd to release Yanhu and Heifeng out. "Since I couldn't find the entrance to the second level, then I would open a road by blood!"

"Kill them!"

He called out to Yanhu and Heifeng, then pounced towards a zombie.

The dragon claw slashed at the zombie's neck as the air whistled. He never would have thought that dragon claw's attack would deal so much damage as he shredded the zombie's skin and flesh, causing damage in the realm of thousands.

"Boss, why did you make us fight these despicable things?" Heifeng complained as he looked at the rotting zombies.

"What do you know? The boss has his reasons for everything he does. Let's just help," Yanhu rolled his eyes at Heifeng, then went to help Jiang Feng.

The zombies were slow, and under Yanhu's and Heifeng's help, Jiang Feng was able to kill the zombies pretty quickly.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one Bag of Corpse Poison.

As he killed the monster, Jiang Feng still didn't forget to use Transmute Monster on the Zombies' corpses.

He got a few bags of Corpse Poison, but nothing else.

Corpse Poison: Spatter at enemies. Your enemies will become stiff for 2 seconds. Take 50 points of hit point damage per second for 5 seconds. Has a cooldown of 15 seconds. Useless against zombies.

'The Corpse Poison is like a skill. Not only can it be used for crowd control, but it can also even cause damage. Not bad!' Jiang Feng smiled as he looked at the bag of corpse poison in his hand.

If he was selling the Corpse Poison, he could sell it for twenty or thirty per bag.

Now that he knew he could earn some money while killing the monsters, Jiang Feng became even more enthusiastic.

He moved and dodged a zombie's attack, then his tail swiped at the zombie. The attack struck at the zombie, sending it flying.

He didn't know if it was because some parts of his body had morphed into dragons, his movement speed and strength of attacks have increased by a great deal. Killing monsters became even more effective, and this made him look forward to the power he could gain when he would finally become a true dragon.

"Heifeng, when it attacks you remember to dodge. You are well known for your speed, use your speed to your advantage!" Looking at how Heifeng was being chased around by a few zombies, Jiang Feng felt slightly helpless. He began to teach Heifeng how to position himself and train his awareness.

As time went by, Heifeng eventually began to learn some skills and his combat was not as embarrassing as before.

As for Yanhu, he was having a very good time killing the monsters.

Zombies fear fire, so each of his attacks deals extra damage against the zombies. As he had trained with Jiang Feng for a few hours, his combat skills were higher than Heifeng, and so it was a breeze for him to kill the monsters.

After around an hour, the zombies in the Cave of the Undead had finally been mostly cleared. There were only two or three left.

After killing the final zombie on the first level, it dropped a key, and a door appeared in midair in the middle of the secret room.

After checking the key in his hand, he knew that it was the key for the door that was floating in the air and had just appeared. It was also the key to the second level of the Cave of the Undead.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on unlocking the Cave of the Undead dungeon. As you were the first player to have unlocked the dungeon, we would award you 10gp, 500 reputation points, 10,000 experience points, and one piece of Green-Bronze equipment.

Ding! Server Announcement: Congratulations player "Jiang Feng" having unlocked the dungeon "Cave of the Undead." As the first player to have unlocked a dungeon, the player was awarded 10gp, 500 reputation points, 10,000 experience points, and one piece of Green-Bronze equipment. We hope that all players will continue to make good efforts!

Ding! Server Announcement: Congratulations player "Qiu Si" having unlocked the dungeon "Dragon City Riverbed." As the second player to have unlocked a dungeon, the player was awarded 5gp, 200 reputation points, 10,000 experience points, and one piece of Black-Iron equipment. We hope that all players will continue to make good efforts!

After hearing the system's voice, two more server announcements were made by the system and this actually surprised him.

"Huh, who is this Qiu Si? Almost let him snatch the title for being the first."

Jiang Feng used his paw to comb his fur, then regretfully said, "I didn't notice that the Dragon City Riverbed was also a dungeon. If I had known, I would have unlocked that dungeon first. And now, it was going to be troublesome. Heading in to retrieve the fragment would be troublesome now."

What does a dungeon mean in a game? It meant lots of experience points, equipment sets, and great non-set equipment!

With the two dungeons being opened, a large number of players must have departed towards the Dragon City Riverbed and Cave of the Undead. And all of this was because of the experience points, equipment set, and great non-set equipment!

That means that if he returned to the Dragon City Riverbed, he would be facing a large number of players. He would have to battle them then.

"That's fine. The fragment at the Dragon City Riverbed can be dealt with later. I should find the fragment in the Cave of the Undead first!" Jiang Feng said with a frown and then absorbed Yanhu and Heifeng into the Qiankun Gourd and entered the second level of the Cave of the Undead.

And at this time, the two server announcements that were released at the same time caused another uproar. Then all the players headed towards the Dragon City Riverbed and the Cave of the Undead.

Chapter 42: Corpse Pill

"Dragon City Riverbed dungeon Level 1. Our party needs a full-time healer. Loot determined by dice roll, come..."

"Cave of the Undead dungeon level 1. Our party lacks a strong DPS and a healer. Loot determined by the dice roll. 3=2. Come quick..."

"I'm an all-purpose healer. I can heal and also tank. Who needs me, let me know."

After the two dungeons had been unlocked, many of the players in the Imperial Dragon City had checked on the dungeon's information and all of them then gathered at where the Teleporter NPCs were. They accepted the quest and began to form their party.

Every day, one could accept ten times the dungeon's dungeon quest. The main reward of the quest was experience points, and they were very generous with it.

Inclusive of the loot and set equipment dropped in the dungeons, all the players that were leveling in the monster territories stopped their leveling and came back to go to their dungeons.

It wasn't long when a large number of players went to the dungeon through the Teleporter NPCs.

It wasn't even one minute when Jiang Feng entered the second level of the Cave of Undead when the first level was invaded by many players.

For a time, the entire first level of the Cave of the Undead were war cries and sounds of quarrels about kill steal.

Since there were only 100 monsters on the first level, and they would only respawn once they were all killed. With so many players present, of course, there weren't enough monsters for each of them. Naturally, kill-steal happened.

When the many players were snatching monsters from each other, Jiang Feng had already reached Level 2 and looked at the monsters on the second level.

Magic Zombie: Level 20 Monster

Health Points: 15,000

Attack: 650-700

Defense: 200

Skills: Fireball

'A magic-type monster. High Attack, but lower Health and Defense. Quite easy to deal with as long as you can melee it!' thought Jiang Feng as he looked at the group of Magic Zombies. Then he went to look for the Donghuang Bell fragment on the second level.

Unfortunately, he looked around but still couldn't find it.

"Looks like I need to find it in the next level," said Jiang Feng as he released Yanhu and Heifeng from the Qiankun Gourd. Then all of them dashed towards the Magic Zombie.

"Tornado!"

He used a powerful skill as soon as he jumped into the group of Magic Zombies, hoping to finish combat quickly.

Whoosh!

The tornado howled, and around four Magic Zombies were thrown into the air.

-523.

-632.

-512.

...

Every second, the Magic Zombies' HP would decrease by 500 to 600 points in five seconds, and their HP had decreased around two to three thousand.

"Blackwind Blade!"

Heifeng also used his powerful skill. Dozens of black blades appeared and slashed at the Magic Zombies.

"Fiery Explosion!"

Yanhu had also used his powerful skill. A burst of flames exploded from underneath his feet. It exploded and split into dozens of fireballs that blasted at the Magic Zombies all around him.

The total damage caused by the three tigers' skill was enough to make around a dozen of the Magic Zombies to lose one-third of their health.

After using their most powerful skills, the three tigers then used their weaker skills.

One by one, the Magic Zombies began to fall onto the ground very quickly.

Jiang Feng was killing monsters and transmuting their corpses on the ground at the same time.

It was easiest for him to deal with magic-type monsters due to his high attacks and high speed.

In no less than one hour, the three of them had conquered the second level. Even the Magic Zombie boss did not hold for long. It only managed to hold on for five minutes before being slain by the three.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one bag of Corpse Poison, a piece of equipment, one Level 20 Experience Pill, and one Corpse Pill.

"Heh, didn't expect I'll get new things out of this."

Jiang Feng took a look at the equipment, then threw it into the Spatial Bracelet. He then looked at the Corpse Pill's stats with interest.

Currently, the level of your usual players was around Level 11. They wouldn't be able to use the Level 20 loot from a Level 20 monster, so that was why he did not check the equipment that he had gotten from transmuting the bosses from the first and second levels.

Corpse Pill: Shapechange Pill

Once consumed, becomes a zombie. All attributes increase by 1-%, movement speed decrease by 30%. Has a duration of 10 minutes and a cooldown of 10 minutes.

"Shapechange Pill, it looks like it won't be too useful. While all attributes have been increased by becoming a zombie, but movement speed will be greatly decreased."

Jiang Feng looked at the Corpse Pill's stats and shook his head as he threw it into the Spatial Bracelet.

Ding! System Prompt: Cave of the Undead Level 2 is open for outside!

Just as he was ready to walk towards the door in the center that had appeared with the key he obtained from the Magic Zombie King, a voice from the system rang in his ears.

"Looks like this dungeon will only fully unlock when I clear all the levels," he muttered to himself as he took back Heifeng and Yanhu, then stepped into the door that leads to Level 3.

The monsters in the third level of the Cave of the Undead were Zombie Dogs.

Zombie Dogs: Level 25 Monster

Health Points: 30,000

Attack: 850-900

Defense: 500

The stats of the Zombie Dogs were very high. If it were other players, they would be hard-pressed. Even with a party, it would be difficult to avoid deaths.

But for Jiang Feng, they were still within his ability to deal with.

While the other players' HP was only around two or three thousand, his was at fourteen thousand, with very high attacks. While the Zombie Dogs were going to be troublesome, he could still deal with them. Only that it would take him some time to kill them.

He released Yanhu and Heifeng, then baited five Zombie Dogs' aggro, then kited them to a corner to fight them.

Because of the Zombie Dogs' higher attributes, he wouldn't dare jump into the middle of a hundred Zombie Dogs. He did not have a deathwish.

This time, Heifeng, Yanhu, and him did not separately deal with their own monsters, but instead focused on one and kept using their skills on it.

The Zombie Dogs' moved very quickly. The five Zombie Dogs kept surrounding them three and kept biting. If they were attacked, they would become poisoned, causing them to lose 100 health for 5 seconds.

High attack, high movement, and poison. Jiang Feng was getting a headache.

He needed to focus on dodging while attacking at the same time.

He needed a minute or two, and only then would he be able to kill a Zombie Dog.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one bag of virus and one Level 25 Experience Pill.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on reaching Level 13. You have received 3 free attribute points.

Virus: Spatter at enemies. Your enemies will become berserk for 5 seconds. Take 100 points of HP damage per second for 5 seconds. Has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

"Looks like different monsters will yield me different things through transmutation. No matter if it's Corpse Poison, Corpse Pill, or Virus, all are like a poison. If I can transmute them en masse and sell them, I could make quite a small fortune," he thought to himself as he picked up the bag of virus.

-359.

-423.

-323.

Just as he wasn't paying attention, four Zombie Dogs' attacks all fell on him. He screamed out in pain and quickly retreated as he let Yanhu and Heifeng keep hold of aggro.

"Damn, I didn't expect that being attacked by four Zombie Dogs would cause the virus effect to stack!"

At this time, Jiang Feng's head had 400 continuously floating on him, meaning to say that the Zombie Dogs virus could be stacked. Without an antidote, he had lost 2000 points of HP in five minutes. This meant that the third level had just become much more dangerous.

Beep beep.

Just as he had consumed a Small Recovery Pill to restore his HP, his friend panel turned alight.

He clicked it to check, and he became interested as he smiled.

Chapter 43: I Will Return that Slap

The message came from Mu Xi, and she said that she had collected three Donghuang Bell fragments.

Three Donghuang Bell fragments!

Jiang Feng was pleasantly surprised as he didn't think that his solution was actually working.

"I heard that there were six people that have obtained the Donghuang Bell fragments. If you could find those six, I will give you the Secret-Class Class Change Letter!" replied Jiang Feng.

"I can't. Two of those were owned by Shen Ye, and the other one in Ling Yun. I had spent 50,000 to get these three. Perhaps we can do it this way. Three fragments and 10,000. Is that acceptable for the Secret-Class Class Change Letter?"

Three Donghuang Bell fragments and 10,000?

Jiang Feng gave it a thought as he lowered his head, and decided to sell it to Mu Xi, "Alright, you can sell to me the three Donghuang Bell fragments via the Trading Hall for 1bp, and transfer the money to my account. I will then sell the Secret-Class Class Change Letter to you."

The Secret-Class Class Change Letter was completely useless to him. Amongst the players, Mu Xi possessed the most Donghuang Bell fragments, and she even gave him an extra 10,000. He was content with the results.

Very quickly, the funds had been transferred to his account, and he spent another 3bp to buy the three Donghuang Bell fragments at the designated Trading Hall page. The Secret-Class Class Change Letter had also been bought by Mu Xi.

"I never thought that the other three fragments were in the hands of Shen Ye and Ling Yun. Looks like it's going to be a bit troublesome to get those." He said with a frown as he placed the three fragments into the Qiankun Gourd.

"Oh well. I'll think of a way later. Now, I need to find the fragment in the Cave of the Undead first!" He looked at the time and mumbled. "It's already six, and I should log out."

He did not continue slaying the monsters. Instead, he returned Yanhu and Heifeng into the Qiankun Gourd and logged out.

Dragon City Riverbed, level two.

A handsome young man stood majestically in front of a hundred Crab Shifters with a sword in hand.

He wore clothing in white and held a sword. His emotionlessness gave him the look of a dispassionate swordsman.

If any players were here and checked on his identity, then they would know that this man was the person that had opened the Dragon City Riverbed dungeon, Qiu Si. He was also the second-best on the leaderboard.

Whoosh.

Qiu Si brandished his sword, and a golden dragon rushed out from the sword. All the Crab Shifters that were on the golden dragon's path had numbers in the thousands floated out on their head for five seconds long. It was terrifying to behold.

"As expected of a Divine Artifact! Despite being suppressed, the Dragon God Sword's abilities are still so damaging! I need to quickly increase my level and unlock more of the sword's abilities!" mumbled Qiu Si as he looked at the Dragon God Sword in his hand coldly.

He then jumped into the group of the Crab Shifters and waved the Dragon God Sword in his hand to cause damage again and again.

If Jiang Feng were here, he would no doubt be surprised.

After Jiang Feng went offline, he made dinner, fed the animal, then left home. He went to clean the streets near the university.

Once he had finished the cleaning and his father's work, he did not go home. Instead, he went to the bank to take out 50,000 and headed to the hotel that Zheng Tao operated.

He was going to repay the loan from Zheng Tao.

He had one principle in life. And that was his dislike of owing someone something. Even if he owed someone something, he would do his best to repay them.

Zheng Tao had operated several hotels in the slum district, and he quickly found the one closest to him.

This hotel was open near the market. It wasn't very big, and a female receptionist was there.

"Hello, is your boss Zheng Tao available?"

Jiang Feng walked over and asked the receptionist.

She looked at Jiang Feng, then said to him in contempt, "What do you want with our boss? Our boss won't simply see just anyone."

To the receptionist, her work was quite easy, and she was paid well. So, she looked down on those from the slums, and more so on those that came to borrow money.

She had met a lot of poor people that came over to see Zheng Tao to borrow money, so she treated Jiang Feng as one of them.

Jiang Feng did not care about her disdain, and said to her with a smile, "I'm here to repay the loan I owe your boss!"

"To pay him back?" The receptionist then scanned at Jiang Feng. "Our boss Zheng Tao is at his new bar in the city. It's called 'Waves Remain Unchanged.' You should go there to look for him."

Once he knew where Zheng Tao was, Jiang Feng looked for a car and headed to the city.

After spending half an hour, he finally found the bar that Zheng Tao had opened.

The bar wasn't very big, but it was at least well renovated.

Just as he came close to the bar, booming music beats came from within. Because the bar was quite new, they had specials on offer. As if it was already at night, it had attracted quite a few patrons.

Once he entered the bar, he could hear the music blasts, the loud chatter, and many men and women moved maddeningly on the dance floor. He frowned, as he hated these kinds of environments.

He then asked around for a while and found where Zheng Tao was.

Zheng Tao was on the second-floor drinking with a few other of his clients by a table.

"Zheng Tao, I have something I need to talk to you about. Can we find somewhere quieter?"

Zheng Tao was not impressed with being disturbed from his drinks, and looked at Jiang Feng in annoyance. "Oh, it's you. The poor kid. Are you here to ask for an extension? Let me tell you the answer now, no way!"

"Yo, Brother Tao, who's this cutie-pie?" asked a woman that had over-dressed sitting opposite of Zheng Tao as she looked at Jiang Feng curiously.

Zheng Tao was surprised that the woman would ask him that, then gave her a smile and said, "Sis Hua, this kid is from the slums. That rubbish of a father of his borrowed money from me to get him to university. I guess he's here to get some extension since he couldn't repay me back."

"I won't allow you to insult my father like that!"

Hearing Zheng Tao insulting his father, he called him out with a frown.

Hearing his words, both Zheng Tao and Sis Hua were slightly astonished that he would be so prideful despite owing money.

"Kid, have you fucking forgotten who are you talking to? I'm going to tell you this right here, right now. Forget about paying me back in one week. If you don't fucking pay me back tomorrow, I will have my men drag those animals from your house!" Having lost face in front of his clients, Zheng Tao stood up angrily and gave Jiang Feng's face a light tap with his hand.

"We don't have to wait for tomorrow. I've brought the money. Give me a receipt."

Jiang Feng placed the bag carrying the cash on the table, then revealed the 50,000 cash inside.

Looking at the 50,000 cash, Zheng Tao was truly surprised and squinted his eyes at him. He smiled, "Not bad, kid. Did you rob a bank? Where did you get the money?"

"Even if I rob a bank, committed murder or arson it had nothing to do with you. I paid back the money, now give me the receipt!" Jiang Feng replied coldly.

Sis Hua sat there as she crossed her legs and swirled the wine in her glass as she looked at Jiang Feng with interest.

"Fine!" Zheng Tao smiled coldly, then called a waiter over. He took the pen from his pocket and wrote a receipt for Jiang Feng, then whispered into his ear, "Not bad, kid. Not bad. But you've made me lose face in front of my clients. I will settle this with you at another time!"

Jiang Feng took the receipt and said, "It wasn't me that wanted to make you lose face, it was you that insulted my father first. And then, that slap you gave my father, I'll find a chance to give it back to you!"

With that, he turned and left ignoring the anger from Zheng Tao.

For a poor kid like him, he would be in a lot of trouble once he had crossed someone as rich as Zheng Tao.

But he couldn't stand by and do nothing when someone insulted his father.

This was a society of law, and it wasn't easy for him to gather his riches and reach the status he had today. He wouldn't kill him. Because if he did, he would ruin the rest of his life if he were caught.

Not to mention that he loved his money, and Jiang Feng didn't cause him any losses, so he would never put a bounty on his head. Zheng Tao was no fool, he wouldn't kill anyone over a scuffle!

Not to mention that he had just opened his new shop, he wouldn't have the time to settle with someone as nameless as him.

Because of those reasons, that was why Jiang Feng had the courage to speak in a disrespectful manner.

After he had repaid the money, he put the receipt in his pocket. When he reached home, his father was already asleep, so he didn't go and disturb him. He went back to his room to continue playing the game.

Chapter 44: Who Stabbed My Ass

After he had entered the game, Jiang Feng then appeared in the third level of the Cave of Undead.

He then released Yanhu and Heifeng from the Qiankun Gourd.

"Kill them!" Ordered Jiang Feng towards Yanhu and Heifeng as he licked his dragon claw and stared at the hideous Zombie Dogs.

Roar!

Yanhu and Heifeng both released a roar and jumped into the air, and each bit a Zombie Dog. Their sharp claws repeatedly slice at the Zombie Dogs' rotting flesh.

"Tornado!"

Jiang Feng decided to show strength and unleashed his powerful skill, and a bunch of Zombie Dogs was then blown upward.

He did not care about the Zombie Dogs that had been thrown into the air and attacked those that were not in range.

The Zombie Dogs had high attributes, and it was difficult to deal with them.

But with the cooperation of the three of them, they had used around three hours to defeat most of the Zombie Dogs, except for one Zombie Dog King.

Zombie Dog King: Level 30 Boss

Hit Points: 100,000

Attack: 1400-1600

Defense: 800

Skills: Madness Bite, Plague, Poisonous Swamp

The Zombie Dog King's attributes were more than double of that of a normal Zombie Dog. With his attack, all he needed was to strike Jiang Feng ten times and it could kill him.

Yanhu's and Heifeng's attack could barely break through its Defense. But even if their attacks went through, they could at most deal around a hundred damage. If they weren't careful, even they could be in danger.

"Be careful you two, you can't be revived if you're killed."

Jiang Feng's Identify had no limits when used on the same thing as he was, so he could easily look at the Zombie Dog King's stats. He looked and advised Yanhu and Heifeng to be careful.

Woof!

The Zombie Dog King revealed its sharp fangs, and something slimy kept creeping out from between those fangs. Its huge body was slightly curved and barked. Then its body was like an arrow and pounced towards them.

"That's bloody quick!"

Seeing the Zombie Dog King had launched its attacks, he was almost ready to dodge away. But what surprised him the most was that the Zombie Dog King's speed was extremely fast, and in the blink of an eye it had already reached his side and smacked him away with one swipe.

"Cough! That's so painful..."

A sense of pain above 90% caused Jiang Feng to clench his teeth in pain.

"Woof! Kill... kill... kill..."

The Zombie Dog King called out the word kill in madness as it continued assaulting Jiang Feng.

"Boss! It's targeting you! Be careful!" Yanhu looked at Jiang Feng with worry as he stood in the distance.

Boom!

As soon as Yan Hu had finished his sentence, the Zombie Dog King's attack had once again slammed on Jiang Feng who had failed to avoid the attack. This time, a piece of flesh had been carved out from his abdomen.

"Argh!"

The pain that he felt from his flesh being torn was almost as painful as when he was undergoing evolution. He yelped out in pain.

"High-speed Movement!"

Seeing that the Zombie Dog King once again was heading his way, Jiang Feng quickly activated High-speed Movement, and only then had he managed to dodge its attack barely. He then took out the Qiankun Gourd and retrieved Yanhu and Heifeng in.

They couldn't help in this situation at all. But if they saw him die, Yanhu and Heifeng would have lost confidence in him. And he might lose the support of two powerful followers. And that was why he had them back in the gourd.

"You want to die so much?! Transmute Monster, transmute!"

As soon as he had retrieved Yanhu and Heifeng, the Zombie Dog King's claws were going to grab at his body. At this time, he quickly used Transmute Monster to transmute the Zombie Dog King.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one bag of Virus, one Corpse Pill, one piece of equipment, one Level 30 Experience Pill, and one Evolution Pill!

Success!

"I didn't expect the transmutation to succeed! And I even got an Evolution Pill!"

Looking at the items in the flames, Jiang Feng became excited.

With his current strength, he was not the match of the Level 30 Zombie Dog King. Originally he was ready to challenge it, but once he saw the Zombie Dog King's movement speed, he gave up and was prepared to have himself killed.

On the third strike, he was ready to use Transmute Monster to block his attack, but he never expected the transmutation to actually succeed!

The more powerful the monster than he was, the higher the rate of failure. Even with his 30 plus points in Luck, he only had around a 30% chance of success. Looks like his luck was unusually good.

"None of my bloodlines have reached 100%. I better save this Evolution Pill for when I have reached 100% in one of my bloodlines."

He looked at the Evolution Pill in his hand but did not want to use it after giving it a thought. Instead, he packed the Evolution Pills and the other items into the Spatial Bracelet.

As for the Experience Pill, he did not use it immediately. He wanted to save some when he needed to level.

Ding! System Prompt: Cave of the Undead Level 3 unlocked.

He picked up the key after the Zombie Dog King had died and looked at the door in the center of Level 3. After giving it a thought, he didn't want to enter the fourth level.

"The monsters in the fourth level are Level 30, and I will need to spend some effort in defeating them. This would waste time that I could use for leveling. I should come back after I have become stronger."

The bonus experience points from killing monsters above one's level weren't that great, and they were troublesome to kill. So he had decided to increase his power before coming back.

As for the fragment in the Cave of the Undead, he wasn't that worried about it.

That was because the key to the fourth level was in his hands. As long as he did not unlock the fourth level, other players couldn't enter. Therefore, he had no worry that the Donghuang Bell fragments would be snatched.

Not to mention that he didn't dare to venture forth with his level of strength. Even if other players go in, they would only die

"Oh? That's right, if I don't want to enter the fourth level and want to leave, I need to go through level one and level two. That's going to be problematic," mumbled Jiang Feng as he remembered about it. "Oh well, if the players on the higher floors make a move against me, then I suppose I don't mind some extra experience points and equipment."

He gave it a thought as he walked towards the door that would lead him to Level 3. He was given two choices.

Choice number one was to go back to level two Choice number two was to unlock Level 4.

He did not hesitate to choose to return to level 2.

"It's the Zombie Wizard boss! This boss is mine! No one steals it from me!"

"Bullshit! If whatever you see is yours, then I saw your wife! Is your wife mine?!"

"Just kill it! Whoever killed the boss first then the boss belongs to whoever!"

As soon as he had appeared on the second level, he saw lots of players and a dozen Zombie Wizards, and all of their eyes were fixed on a huge, hideous Zombie Wizard King. No one had noticed his appearance from a portal.

Seeing that, he quickly ate the Zombie Pill that he had obtained from the Zombie Wizards earlier. In the next moment, a light flashed, and he became a Zombie.

"Hehe, Zombie Wizard boss? Let's see if I can use the same tactic on it," he gave a wry smile as he looked at the players that approached the Zombie Wizard King.

Suddenly, he felt a stab to his buttocks and he cried out. He turned and roared, "Sh*t! Who the hell stabbed my ass!"

Chapter 45: The Third Side Wins

As soon as he had taken the Corpse Pill and became a Zombie, several players appeared at the portal.

When these players appeared, they then noticed Jiang Feng by the teleporter. A pervert by the name of "StabYourButtocks" used a sword and stabbed at Jiang Feng's buttocks.

"Shit! Who the hell stabbed my ass!" His sense of pain was very high, and this stab made him scream out in pain.

While it didn't really penetrate him, it did leave a mark on his buttocks.

He turned and looked angrily, then saw the perverted man taking a sword to attack him once again.

"Die!"

Once he became a zombie, all his attributes increased by 10% and his movement speed fell by 30%. While his movement speed had decreased, his speed was similar to a normal player. Chasing down a player was still possible.

Jiang Feng jumped and dodged StabYourButtocks' attacks, then he jumped to the side of StabYourButtocks and used his claws to stab his chest.

-1243.

A very normal attack and it had caused a thousand plus damage to StabYourButtocks. This alarmed him greatly and he retreated quickly.

Unfortunately, by the time he realized what was happening, it was already too late. Jiang Feng's stiff arms flailed and blew him away, killing him instantly.

After killing StabYourButtocks and seeing a few other players coming towards him, he plotted for a bit and decided not to fight with those players. Instead, he rushed into where the Zombie Wizards were, and used the Zombie Wizards to hide.

He was planning to take advantage of the situation, so of course, he wouldn't show himself too early.

He was going to wait until the Zombie Wizard King was slain before starting the slaughter, and of course, pick up the equipment that the Zombie Wizard King dropped.

He hid behind a few Zombie Wizards and wasn't attacked. Most of the players were concentrating on the Zombie Wizard King, and some of them were clearing the grounds of the normal Zombie Wizards. None of the players cared about him, and none of them would have thought that he was actually a tiger.

'I should use this chance to clear out some players so that I won't get overwhelmed later,' Jiang Feng thought to himself as he stood in the middle of a group of Zombie Wizards, then carefully sneak attacked the players.

It wasn't long until a dozen players had died by his hand.

"The boss is almost dead! Let me be clear, whoever steals my boss will be hunted down by the Axe Gang!"

"Oh, shut up! Whoever killed the boss owns the equipment!"

"Kill it!"

After hearing the players' discussion, he then looked at the boss.

The boss only had a bit of HP left. Seeing that the players' attacks were going to connect, Jiang Feng made his move.

"Now!"

He dismissed the Corpse Pill's effect and restored himself to his original form. His claws grabbed at the ground, and his body jumped into the air, and at the moment the players killed the boss, he let Yanhu and Heifeng out, blocking the players from picking up the equipment.

"Roar!"

The three tigers let out the tigers' roar, and it intimidated the players that were just going to snatch the equipment.

"Kill the player that gave the boss the final strike!"

While the players were still surprised, Jiang Feng jumped at the player that gave the boss the final strike. He did not wait for him to react and killed the player in two swipes.

After killing that player, that meant the items cannot be picked up within five minutes. That way, he would have to worry about the equipment being snatched away.

"What's happening? Why are there three different tiger bosses here?"

"Must be a game bug! We've killed one boss already, and now there's three more? Is this the game's way of blessing or cursing us?"

"Why are we thinking about this? Let's kill the bosses first!"

Seeing that Jiang Feng had killed a player, the players had all come back to their senses and stared at them in shock.

Many of the players took their weapons and rushed towards the three of them.

While they did wonder about why the Blackwind Tiger King, Flaming Tiger King, and the other tiger king would appear in the Cave of the Undead, they couldn't think about it.

"Kill!"

Seeing that the players were coming for them, he roared at Heifeng and Yanhu with only one word.

"Roar! Kill!"

Yanhu roared excitedly and pounced towards the players.

Heifeng was more direct and smacked a player to the ground.

With Yanhu and Heifeng's current strength, while they couldn't battle with the players for a long time, they wouldn't have any problems stalling them for five minutes.

As for him, he guarded next to the items that were on the ground. Anyone that went close to him had been killed.

Yanhu and Heifeng were rank 4 bosses, and he was a rank 5 boss. Adding to the fact they know how to position themselves and evade the attacks, their overall strength was much higher than the Zombie Wizard King. Those players that wanted to kill them did not have much advantage over them. In fact, around a dozen players had been slain by them.

"Damn it! Why are these three bosses so strong! Not only do they know how to evade attacks, they even know how to position themselves!"

"What happened to the law that states that monsters cannot ascend after the establishment of the nation? Aren't these three bosses' intelligence too high?!"

After a dozen players died by the hands of Jiang Feng, Yanhu and Heifeng, none of the players dared to come close

They require a large amount of experience to level up now. Once they had been killed, their level would drop, and they didn't want to lose a level without getting anything in return.

Therefore, they only dared to curse from afar. Some even said that they would complain to customer service.

Since it was in the introduction of the Cave of the Undead that every level only had one boss. Four had appeared in this level, so it wouldn't be weird if they had a gripe.

Seeing that the players did not dare to come forward, his lips curled and used Transmute Monster on the Zombie Wizard King's corpse.

Spark!

A light sound echoed, and the body of the Zombie Wizard King burst into flames.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one Corpse Pill, one piece of equipment, and one Level 25 Experience Pill.

After the successful transmutation, he then packed the items into the Spatial Bracelet.

Next, the Zombie Wizard King's body disappeared.

Luckily, the other players could not see the flames and process when he transmuted a monster. If not, it would cause another round of chaos.

As time passed by, there were fewer and fewer players who dared to try to snatch the equipment. And finally, none of them dared to test their luck.

After a short moment, five minutes had passed. Jiang Feng excitedly kept all the items that were dropped by the Zombie Wizard King. He then took out the Qiankun Gourd quietly and took Yanhu and Heifeng back, then quickly ran towards the portal on the second level.

"Stop it! Don't let it escape! It might drop a Divine Artifact if we can kill it!" A spellcaster player yelled quickly as he saw Jiang Feng escaping.

"Don't be an idiot! It's so strong, how are we supposed to stop it! Stop talking nonsense!" Cursed a warrior player as he rolled his eyes at him.

Because no one dared to challenge Jiang Feng, he had easily used the portal to reach the first level from the second level.

After returning to the first floor of the Cave of the Undead, he then ran out of the cave as many players in that level looked on with surprise,

At this time, a very beautiful woman chased after him. She looked at his running figure in surprise and then followed him.

Chapter 46: The Smart Canaan

Crouching Dragon Range. In a valley without anyone.

"Roar!"

Jiang Feng stopped in his tracks. He turned and looked, then roared.

After he had left the Cave of the Undead, he kept on feeling that there was someone following him. And that someone could move extremely quickly, and he couldn't get rid of her.

And this made him feel annoyed. So, he led someone into a valley so that he could prepare to see who had been following him.

"I never would have thought that a monster with such high intelligence would exist in this game!"

Following his roar, a beautiful woman walked out from behind a giant tree.

Once the woman appeared, he did not hesitate to use Identify on her.

In-Game ID: Canaan

Level: 11

Class: Assassin

Hit Points: 2479

Attack: 489-593

Defense: 231

'Canaan? Isn't that the ID of the boss of the company that I joined?' Jiang Feng was slightly surprised as he saw the woman's ID.

Currently, most of the players' levels were around 11 on average. They still couldn't build a guild, so he still hadn't joined the Canaan Corporation's guild.

"A monster that knows how to use items and pick up equipment. You should be an important high-intelligent monster for this game's main quest, am I right?"

Canaan wasn't sure what Jiang Feng was thinking about and smiled at him as she approached Jiang Feng. She emitted a powerful aura as she moved.

'Damn, how did she know I used items? And how did she know I was picking up items?' He thought to himself with a frown and was surprised once again when he heard Canaan's words.

"Heh, guess I got it right." Looking at Jiang Feng's panic, Canaan smiled. "I never thought that this game would be so interesting. If it wasn't because I've asked my father to get some insider information from the developers, I would be shocked too."

Canaan was the daughter of a high-ranked official who held great political power. Because of her bet with Situ Hao, she had pestered her father for a very long time before his father had obtained some information about the game from the game's developer.

What she understood was that in order to push forward the game's development, many of the monsters in the game had high intelligence. They could level up, evolve, and could kill players and pick up their equipment. Of course, if she could cooperate with these intelligent monsters, she could gain many resources from the game from them.

It was because of this that she would come out and follow Jiang Feng. She wanted to cooperate with Jiang Feng!

"I know that you possess intelligence and can understand what I say. Let's see, I'll ask you some questions. If it's a yes, you can nod. If it's a no, you can shake your head. Is that alright?" She said to Jiang Feng as she approached him, as if without fear, and stopped around 5 meters away.

Roar!

Jiang Feng also had a lot of questions in his mind, but he couldn't speak the human language and couldn't communicate with Canaan. So he could only hear what she wanted, and as such he nodded and roared once at her.

It was completely within his power to kill Canaan now. Who cared how she knew that he could use items and pick up equipment?

But at that time, he had an audacious hypothesis, so he wanted to hear her questions.

"Haha! You are indeed intelligent," Seeing that Jiang Feng had nodded, Canaan had lost her demeanor as a strong woman. Instead, she began to smile like a little child. However, she had quickly regained her composure and began to ask him seriously, "You appeared out of nowhere at the second level. Was it because you had the ability to hide your identity? When you didn't hide your identity afterward, was it because this ability has its limits?"

'Hiding my identity? I guess it counts since I did use the Corpse Pill to hide my identity for a time,' he nodded after giving it a thought.

"Then when you appeared on the second level, was it because of the dropped equipment from the boss?"

Roar!

Jiang Feng nodded.

"Why do you monsters want equipment? Never mind, even if I asked, you wouldn't be able to give me an answer. Let's change to another. When you monsters fight amongst yourselves, you don't drop any loot, do you? Only when you kill players could you get loot? Was that why you appeared only after the players had killed the boss, and dragged the battle for five minutes so that the equipment's protection had expired, and then picked up the equipment?"

Roar! Jiang Feng nodded again.

"You need loot, and I need loot too. But when you kill monsters, you do not have any loot, but when I kill the monsters, I can obtain loot. Why don't we do it this way? Why don't you help me fight the monsters until they have little hp left and allow me to kill it? For the loot, I only want assassin equipment. I'll leave the rest to you. If you agree, give me a nod."

After Canaan had finished, she looked at Jiang Feng expectantly.

If she could cooperate with a highly intelligent monster in the game, then her leveling up speed will be increased by manifold, and she could gather top-tier equipment within a relatively short amount of time.

Once her level and equipment had improved, she would become stronger in the game. Then, she would have a better chance of beating Situ Hao in her bet.

'She only wants Assassin equipment, and the rest would be for me?' Jiang Feng gave it a deep thought.

If he chose to work with Canaan, it would be a very good choice for him. Unfortunately, no matter how much equipment he obtained, he couldn't use any of it. He could only sell it out in exchange for money.

Not to mention, that working together with such a clever woman, it would be bad if his identity and the Monster Transmutation System were exposed, and she used it to blackmail him.

Canaan's terms were quite attractive and would allow him to earn a lot of money in a very short time. But his family no longer owed others' money, and he could become rich eventually if he used the equipment through his tactics and transmuted the bosses. But if his identity was exposed, he wouldn't be able to play the game anymore.

After comparing the advantages and disadvantages, he disagreed.

Roar!

He roared at Canaan and shook his head. He then quickly left the location.

"Hey, wait up..."

Seeing that Jiang Feng had refused her offer and was prepared to give chase, she then saw Jiang Feng suddenly had a burst of speed. In a few blinks, he had disappeared in front of him. This brought her disappointment.

"Why would a monster need equipment, anyway? From his reaction, I could see that the equipment are quite attractive to him. Looks like it still isn't attractive enough. I need to find something that I can use to tempt him to work with me," mutter Canan under her breath as he looked at where Jiang Feng had left.

What she did not know was that her action had made her company lose a capable employee.

After separating from Canaan, Jiang Feng ran to a place without anyone and muttered, "I didn't realize that Canaan Corporation's boss would be so smart. Looks like I can't join this company after all. If my identity was exposed, I would be in danger."

He was thinking about it very seriously while he was on the road. In the end, he had decided to give up on joining Canaan Corporation, and also gave up on joining any guild because that would expose who he was.

"I should concentrate on leveling up. I'll strive to get to Level 15 by tonight!"

He then opened the map and took a look after he had decided. He found a territory with level 13 monsters, then ran towards it to level.

There were still 33 pieces of Donghuang Bell fragments scattered in the outside world.

If he wanted to increase his collection speed, then he needed to increase his level and strength. If not, he wouldn't be able to collect them all even if he knew where the fragments were.

For example, he knew that there was a Donghuang Bell fragment somewhere between the fourth and fifth levels. But he couldn't get to it because he was too weak.

Chapter 47: Master Level Smithing

Crouching Dragon Range, Level 13 Gale Tiger territory.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on reaching Level 15. You have received 3 free attribute points.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful!

"Whew. I finally managed to level up to Level 15 in a night, and my Tiger race bloodline has reached 100%. If it wasn't for the two failures, I would have reached level 17," Jiang Feng said as he heaved a heavy sigh as he looked at the Gale Tiger that had fallen before him, and he then looked at the time.

In one night, under the assistance of Yanhu and Heifeng, he had increased 4 levels. Unfortunately, he had failed twice while fusing with the corpses of the Gale Tiger and had lost 2 levels.

Fortunately, he had still reached his target of Level 15 and his Tiger race bloodline had reached 100%.

Originally he wanted to find monsters of the Dragon race so that he could fuse with them and improve his Dragon race bloodline. Unfortunately, Dragon monsters were all of a high level, and the failure chance of fusion was too high, so he could only give them up.

"After fusing with so many Gale Tigers in one night, my stats have increased quite a bit. Now that my Tiger race bloodline is full, let's see if I could evolve into a Rank 6 tiger king!"

Jiang Feng looked at his stats, then went to find a hidden location. He then took out an evolution pill and had Yanhu and Heifeng to guard over him as he began to evolve.

He wasn't sure if it was because of the number of times he had evolved, he became numb to the pain from the evolution. He felt that it was less painful this time around.

Ding! System Prompt: Evolution successful.

Ten minutes later, his evolution had succeeded without any accident, and he had become a Rank 6 Tiger King.

The main reason that he had chosen to evolve the Tiger Race's bloodline was that the Dragon race bloodline was only at 0% as he still needed to increase its purity. If not, he would never succeed in evolution. As for the wolf and canine race bloodline, he would not think of evolving these two as they had a limit to their growth. They couldn't even reach the level of a Divine Beast.

As such, he could only choose to evolve the Tiger's Race Bloodline as it was the bloodline with the highest rank as well as having the growth to become a Divine Beast.

After the success of his evolution, he quickly opened his status window and checked with joy.

"My health points have increased by 7,000 plus. While my attack and defense increase was a bit lower, it was just as I had guessed. The increase in attributes become fewer as I progress. But at least once I have increased to Rank 6, I had an extra skill. Overall, not bad!"

Jiang Feng looked at his Level 15 stats and nodded in satisfaction.

Tiger Roar: Active skill. Once activated, shoots an energy beam from the mouth, and deals damage equal to 150% of base damage to enemies on a 5 meters straight line.

"With my current attack, if I use the Tiger Roar skill I could deal around 2,400 damage disregarding the enemies' defense. I could instantly kill those classes with low HP," he muttered excitingly as he looked at the skill.

It can be said that his strength had increased considerably in one night.

If he had to go through the third level of the Cave of the Undead, he could finish it even faster. And he would no longer be humiliated by the Zombie Dog King.

"Oh right, with the success of my evolution, I have one extra chance to go for the lottery! I can go for a draw!"

He then remembered the lottery from the Monster Transmutation System. He quickly summoned the spinning wheel and began the lottery.

His stats were very high. Even the usual veteran players wouldn't exactly stand a chance against him, but his opponent wasn't just one person, but it was all the players that were part of the Divine and Infernal factions. That was why he had to become stronger.

If he wanted to become strong, there were many ways. Leveling up, increasing his ranks, equipment, skills, and bloodline.

Level and rank could be increased bit by bit. Bloodline could be obtained by fusing with monsters. As he could not have a class, he could only get skills by increasing his rank or through skill books. Equipment can only be gained through the lottery system.

That was why the things that he wanted the most are equipment and skills.

Once the lottery had begun, he lay on the ground with his forelimbs in a praying position, and his tiger eyes the size of chicken eggs stared at the spinning wheel.

"Om Mani Padme Hum... Give me a Divine Artifact..."

As he was praying, the indicator stopped spinning and stopped at the Special category.

Next, the spinning wheel disappeared and became a clear diamond chest.

"Diamond level!"

While he didn't get any equipment, he was still quite excited to see a diamond level chest.

While he wasn't exactly sure of the tiers of chests in the lottery but to him, diamond chests were already pretty great. Last time he opened a diamond chest he got the bloodline of a Spiritual Beast, the Skywind Dragon.

While he did open a prismatic chest once, but The Art of Yin Yang Union of Joy was completely useless to him before the marriage system was open.

While he did not get a bloodline this time, he was still looking forward to what could come out from a Special chest.

As he opened the diamond chest with great anticipation, he saw a book resting within it.

Master-Level Smithing Skill Book: Once used, you can become a master-level smith.

'Hm? A master level Craft-Profession Skill. I wonder if I could forge pet equipment?' As Jiang Feng thought of that, he licked his lips and took out the skill book and learned it directly.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on becoming a master-level Smith. You gained 200 points of reputation.

Smith: Master 0/100,000

100% of forging Black-Iron and Green-Bronze equipment.

50% of forging White-Silver equipment.

20% of forging Yellow-Gold equipment.

5% of forging Dark-Gold equipment.

Note: Chances of equipment depends on Luck and materials used.

Jiang Feng frowned as he looked at the Craft-Profession Skill. "Why was the Master level smithing having such a low chance of producing Yellow-Gold and Dark-Gold equipment? And what's with the last sentence? If the Luck and quality of the materials are high, it would increase the success rate?"

"I should try it in the city!"

Even after he had learned Smithing, he still needed the tools for it. These tools were available at the blacksmith's smithy, so he was going to return to the Imperial Dragon City to give it a try. If he could create pet equipment, then his equipment problem would be solved.

Not only that, but he could also forge even more pet equipment and give a set to Yanhu and Heifeng. That way, his party would become even stronger.

The more he thought about it, the more excited he became. He quickly ran towards the direction of the Imperial Dragon City. On his way back, he even checked the Trading Hall to see if he could find any materials needed for the smithing.

Chapter 48: Armor Piercing Claw

Once players reach Level 10, they could then start to learn Craft-Profession skills.

At this stage, most players had reached Level 10. Many Crafters had appeared in this game.

These players' main objective was to earn money in the game.

As such, there were plenty of materials in the Trading Hall such as ores, pelts, wood, leather, animal bones, pills, meats, and others.

But these materials' levels were all too low.

Even the highest level ore was only a middle-level Green-Bronze ore. The Quality wasn't that great, There was two high Quality ore with a Purity of 7, but all of them were below 5.

Other than levels, ore also had Quality.

A Purity of 1 to 3 was considered being low Quality, a Purity of 4 to 6 were considered being middle Quality, a Purity of 7 to 9 were considered being of high Quality. An ore with a Purity of 10 was known as an Ore Essence and was considered to be of the best Quality.

"Oh well, I'll just buy some and treat it as a practice."

All the materials on the material page were traded using in-game currency.

He had spent 1gp on the two high Quality ore with a purity of 7, then spent another 1gp on 30 middle Quality ore with a Purity of around 5.

After he had bought all the materials and running, he still spent around half an hour before arriving at the outskirts of the Imperial Dragon City

"Whew. I should buy a few Town Portal scrolls from the general store later. Next time, I should just polymorph and teleport back," said Jiang Feng as he was out of breath from all the running and combed his fur.

After taking a look at the outskirts of the Imperial Dragon City, he looked for a place where there were no players. He then used Polymorph and quickly ran towards the Imperial Dragon City.

He had already evolved four times, and the duration of his Polymorph had reached 41 minutes. This was enough time for him to forge a few pieces of equipment during this time.

He had polymorphed into a humanoid form and entered the Imperial Dragon City.

The Imperial Dragon City's south gate had a commercial district that had smithies, general stores, herbal shops, and other kinds of shops.

He went to the General Store and spent 1gp on a stack of 20 Town Portal scrolls. He took five out, set the Imperial Dragon City as the return point, and then entered the smithy.

"Wow... so hot!"

As soon as he entered the smith, a heatwave washed over him, causing him to frown.

Dang! Dang!

There weren't many players in the smith. A sweaty man without wearing outerwear was hammering at an ore next to the forge, and this man was the smithy's boss.

"Boss, I would like to rent a smithy room." Jiang Feng said with a smile as he approached the boss.

The boss stopped what he was doing and then scanned Jiang Feng, then said in surprise, "It's you, master. It is a great honor for you to visit my humble smithy. Which level of smithy room would you like?"

"There are differences between rooms?" The boss of the smith's only had the skill of an Adept, so he was naturally polite when he saw a Master ranked smith. However, he didn't quite understand how the smithy worked, and so he asked.

The boss of the smithy wiped his sweat away, then answered with a smile, "Smithy Rooms are separated into three types. Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each room's forge has a different type of fire. The flames in an Advanced room smelt ores quickly, and if you add some Molten Iron Powder, ore could be smelted into liquid within breaths. They also had various types of molds, allowing you to smith even quicker."

"Can I forge pet equipment?" He asked again after understanding the Smithy Rooms.

"Of course! No matter what kind of equipment you forge, when you succeed they will be bestowed attributes!"

"I understand now. Can you give me an Advanced Smithy Room?"

Renting an Advanced Smith Room costs 5gp per hour.

In comparison, he had bought so many ores for only 2 gps. How expensive Smithy Rooms were was apparent.

A Smithy Room was basically a secret room. There were a forge and a hammer, and there was a jar of water and some Molten Iron Powder. The racks in the room had many molds for various types of weapons, and there were also molds where no shapes had been sculpted into it yet.

Looking at the molds that hadn't been sculpted, he took the mold with a pair of pliers, then approached the side of the forge where flames as hot as real flames were burning. He used the pliers to carry the mold and let the fire carve the mold.

This was a game, so it wasn't as complicated when compared to reality.

He had only started to carve a shape to the mold, and a window came out in front of him. Inside was the image of his carving, and beside the picture there were two functions, Search and Draw. He wasn't that good at drawing, so he had naturally chosen to search. He was able to find a 3-dimensional image of a sharp claw, and then the old began to change and the image of a claw had been printed on the mold.

After he had managed to complete the mold, he took out 10 of the middle-level ores into the forge, and sprinkle some Molten Iron Powder on them. The ores were liquified very quickly.

He then poured the liquid into the mold and used water to cool it down. He then used the smithy hammer to hit it.

With each strike, the shape of a claw began to form.

At this time, he quickly used his Smithing skill.

Crack.

A red light appeared, and the claw in the mold cracked.

Ding! System prompt: Smithing failed. Proficiency 1.

"Hm? Why would it crack directly?"

Jiang Feng looked at the cracked claw curiously. And when he was thinking about it, the broken claw in the mold disappeared.

"Let's continue!"

He took out another ten ores and threw it in, then he continued crafting.

Ding! System prompt: Smithing failed. Proficiency 1.

Again!

Ding! System prompt: Smithing failed. Proficiency 1.

Again!

Ding! System prompt: Smithing failed. Proficiency 1.

"Shit! Why do I keep failing?"

After failing 9 times continuously and lost 3gp worth of ore and twenty minutes had already passed, he became agitated.

"Oh, that's right. It was commonly said that striking a metal a thousand times turns it into steel. Steel is the toughest and doesn't crack easily. I should try hitting it a few more times!" Jiang Feng remembered something, then gritted his teeth and threw the two middle level high Quality ores as well as eight normal quality ores, and threw them all into it.

This time, after the molten iron was poured into the mold, he repeatedly hit it a dozen times. When the claw was formed, he threw it into the forge to smelt it and then poured it back into the mold just to continue hitting it again.

After doing this a dozen times and he had around 10 minutes left on his polymorph, he ported it into the mold and hit it a dozen times again, and then used the Smithing skill.

Buzz.

When he used the Smithing skill, the claw in the mold let out a green light as it trembled.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on creating the "unnamed" equipment, proficiency 100. As you are the first player to have forged a White-Silver equipment, you have gained 200 reputation points and 10gp. This would also be announced to the whole server, to encourage other Crafters. Do you wish to hide your name?

"No!"

After hearing the system's voice, Jiang Feng became very excited.

Ding! Server announcement: Congratulations to player Jiang Feng on creating a White Silver "unnamed" equipment. As he was the first player to have forged a White-Silver equipment, he has been awarded 200 points of reputation and 10gp. It was hoped that Crafters all around would take him as an example. Work hard and create weapons of various kinds!

He didn't have the time to care about the server announcement and turned to look at his claw-shaped equipment.

Unnamed: White-Silver Equipment

Physical Attack 100

Defense 20

20% chance of causing Shred

20% chance of armor pierce

Piercing Claw: Active Skill. When triggered, the weapon will fly and strike the target, causing 150% of armor pierce damage. You may have the weapon return to you with a call. Has a cooldown of 30 seconds.

Prerequisite: Level 15 Pet

Since you have the pierce armor attribute, and even a pierce armor skill, I'll call you Armor Piercing Claw!

Ding! System Prompt: Naming complete!

"I don't have much time left for my Polymorph. I should leave quickly!"

He packed the Armor Piercing Claw, and then looked at the remaining duration for Polymorph. He only had 5 or 6 minutes left. He quickly checked out of the room and left the smithy, then ran towards the outskirts of Imperial Dragon City.

Chapter 49: Gnomes

Did someone forge White-Silver equipment?

Players in the game were stunned after the server-wide announcement. They could hardly believe it.

The game had just started for around four days. Even if the players had learned Level 10 Craft-Profession skills, increasing them would be very difficult. And they also needed a lot of materials and money.

Currently, most crafters were only at the low level, with few reaching the 50% mark for their experience bar.

Forging White Silver equipment required at least high-level smithing, and they couldn't imagine how Jiang Feng had managed to increase his smithing skill to high rank.

Many of the crafters who focused on smithing believed that Jiang Feng knew some secrets that allowed them to quickly increase his smithing skill. All of them published posts on Weibo and the official form, wanting to have Jiang Feng give up that secret.

And all of them said in a righteous tone, saying that this would increase the overall strength of the Huaxia server, and he must give it up. If he did, then the Huaxia server would be victorious during the war between nations.

While they wrote it righteously, it was actually for their own benefit.

Jiang Feng wasn't paying attention to Weibo and the message board. Even if he did, he wouldn't give any response except a cold smile.

The strength of a nation's server was not dependent on one Craft-Profession Skill. Strength also would not come for free. Jiang Feng despised those who sought to benefit themselves by using the name of their countries the most.

It wasn't long since he had left the Imperial Dragon City when his Polymorph's duration reached its end, and he once again became half-dragon, half-tiger.

After he had restored his form, he then took out the Armor Piercing Claw and equipped it.

Buzz.

As soon as he equipped the Armor Piercing Claw, a sharp claw giving off a cold glint appeared in his right forelimb.

Seeing a Level 10 Green Bull monster not far away, he slammed his four limbs on the ground and jumped up. He swiped with his Armor Piercing Claw. It caused the winds to move, and he clawed at the Green Bull's body.

Slash!

-2752.

With one swipe, the Green Bull's abdomen had a long wound on it with blood gushing out. The 20% armor piercing chance triggered, causing almost 3000 damage to it.

After a few rounds, the Green Bull let out a cry and fell into a pool of blood.

Looking at the Green Bull's corpse, Jiang Feng looked at the Armor Piercing Claw excitedly and said, "With this weapon, my damage has increased yet again. Killing monsters would be easier now!"

After transmuting the Green Bull's corpse, he then took out the Divine Fate Compass and was ready to use his third chance.

The Divine Fate Compass can be used 3 times per day. He had already used his two uses searching for the two Donghuang Bell fragments, and he still had one more use for the day.

If he didn't use up all its uses per day, then its uses wouldn't refresh.

So he had decided to use Treasure Hunt for the third time.

"Treasure Hunt!"

After using the Treasure Hunt skill, Shen Luo appeared on the compass.

"Master, you still had one more chance to hunt for treasures. After your use, the Divine Fate Compass can only be used again after 24 hours."

"Yes!"

"Then please tell me the type of treasures you seek, master!"

"Anything will do!"

Earlier, he had used twice his uses to find the Donghuang Bell fragments around this area. If he looked for the fragments and the result ended up the same, then he would have wasted another chance, so this time he had chosen to randomly find any treasures.

"Searching for treasures, please wait..."

Shen Luo closed her eyes, and in the next moment, the ancient letters and runes on the Divine Fate Compass began to float up, then flew everywhere as they turned into light.

A few minutes later, Shen Luo opened her eyes with her face becoming pale.

"Deep in the Crouching Dragon Range. There's a treasure at the coordinates 98342.21423. Master, I must sleep now."

After finishing her sentence, Shen Luo disappeared and the Divine Fate Compass's Treasure Hunt skill entered into cooldown.

"I wonder what treasures would there be deep in the Crouching Dragon Range?"

Jiang Feng looked at the coordinates on the Divine Fate Compass, then ran into the depths of the mountain range after packing up the Divine Fate Compass excitedly

After running for half an hour, he passed by the Cave of the Undead.

Even now there were many players forming parties killing the monsters in front of the cave.

"Xiao Liu, your positioning is so bad! You still need to practice!"

"Brother Zhao, stop complaining about Xiao Liu. Your support was also problematic, if not the attack just now could be smoother!"

"Teehee, let's practice our positioning and cooperation and grind the Cave of the Undead tonight. Hopefully, we can reach the third level. I heard that several other parties have already obtained Level 15 equipment sets and Level 20 equipment sets."

...

Jiang Feng felt sad as he heard the exchange between members of a party when he passed by in the nearby bushes.

Friends, friendship, and great times when they fought together. He had none of these.

As a monster, it was destined that his growth would be lonely!

As the sun began to set, the evening rays shone on Mount Crouching Dragon as he lamented, then he ran towards the coordinates that were shown on his Divine Fate Compass.

It was around 5 a.m. in the real world, while it was around 5 p.m. in the game world.

In a little while, the game would enter darkness.

Once it was dark, all monsters in the game would have their stats increased by 10%. If he were surrounded by monsters in the middle of the journey, that would be so pathetic.

So, he was going to run towards where the treasure was as soon as possible using his fastest speed.

As the sun was setting, the heavens grew darker and a full moon hung in the night sky.

Jiang Feng had spent around one hour to finally reach the coordinates shown by the Divine Fate Compass.

He was now at the depths of the Crouching Tiger Range, in the Level 40 Demonflame Wolves' territory. There were only swamps nearby, and the swamps were surrounded by mountains, and the mountains were covered with a blanket of heavy mist. The location looked mysterious indeed.

"Hm? There is no treasure here. Looks like the coordinates weren't accurate, as usual. I better look nearby."

Lucky for him, his vision wasn't affected at night and his stats had increased by 10%. This made him very excited.

Whoosh.

Tap.

Just as he was looking at the surrounding for the treasure, the woods far away from the swamp began to sway. Sounds of footsteps could be heard.

"Something's happening!"

Seeing that, Jiang Feng ran towards where the footsteps were from.

His movement speed was very quick, and in a moment he then saw three figures of small stature. He hid behind them, then quietly used Identify on them.

Robert: Level 40 Elite Gnome

Introduction: Gnomes. Their average height is 60cm. They have intelligence greater than that of normal men, but they are a race that had disappeared after the Great War 10,000 years ago. They have a very strong affinity and talent for smithing and lives underground most of the time.

Health Points: 200,000

Attack: 300-500

Defense 10,000

Skill: Master-level Smithing

"Eh? I didn't expect to see the legendary gnomes. Looking at how rushed they are, something must have happened. Perhaps it has something to do with the treasure? I should follow them and take a look!"

After seeing that status of the figures, Jiang Feng was no doubt surprised, but he was also interested in what the three gnomes wanted to do in the middle of the night. Perhaps it had something to do with the treasure?

Remembering that, he quickly followed after them.

Chapter 50: Xuanyuan Sword Fragment

The three gnomes went through the swamp and climbed through a mountain peak and finally reached a steep cliff.

They did not realize that someone was following from behind, and they each took out an iron pickaxe and climbed down the cliff.

Once they had climbed down, Jiang Feng then came out from behind a huge rock and quickly followed them. Then he looked down towards the cliff.

There was a heavy mist under the cliff, causing the visibility to be very low.

To prevent himself from losing them, he jumped down.

Just as soon as he was going to free fall, his sharp claws caught the rocky wall of the cliffs, and he slowly moved down.

While there the mist was heavy below the cliff, but as the three gnomes made sounds as they used their picks, all he needed to do was to follow the sounds.

The cliff was very deep, and it almost took him twenty minutes before reaching the bottom.

Once he was at the bottom, he was shocked by what he saw.

The bottom of the cliff was a bowl, and it was very wide. It was the size of tens of soccer fields. There were many beautiful homes here, all forged from iron. These houses formed a circle, and in the middle of this circle formed from homes was a giant hole with a diameter of a hundred. There were many facilities around this hole.

These facilities had giant pulleys on them. As the pulley turned, an iron cage would appear from the hole, with many gnomes in it. Once the pulleys stopped, the gnomes came out from the iron cages. The facility was designed similarly to an elevator.

Near the giant hole, there were some bonfires here and there. Some gnomes were eating roast meat, while some were dancing around the bonfire while holding a smithing hammer.

The entire surrounding was quite peaceful

"I did not expect that in the depths of the Crouching Dragon Range would be a bunch of gnomes!" Jiang Feng exclaimed with mixed emotion as he saw the gnomes living happily together.

Clang!

Clang!

Then suddenly, the sounds of a bell being struck could be heard. The gnomes that were enjoying their food and dancing were stunned for a while and all went into the giant cage and went down the giant hole.

In but tens of minutes, all the gnomes on the ground had entered the giant hole, including the children.

"Something must have happened to the gnomes! Can it be that a treasure appeared? I have to go down and take a look!"

Seeing that there was no one else, he quickly came by the giant hole.

He looked into the depths of the hole but realized that at its depths, it wasn't dark at all. Instead, it was very bright. Many high-level fluorites lodged into the walls of the hole, and these lights came from the fluorites.

Because no one had activated the mechanism and that the cage was down there, he couldn't take the elevator. So he grabbed onto the fluorites that were on the face of the wall and jumped down.

He reached the bottom of the giant hole very quickly.

And the moment when he reached the bottom, he was once again awestruck.

The space within the hole was unimaginably huge, as if someone had removed an entire mountain. Many giant rock pillars stood from the ground up, and on these giant pillars were homes.

He couldn't even count the number of homes as he couldn't see their end.

Between these homes were bridges made of chains, and they extend to all directions on the giant hole. He did not know where the chains ended up.

There were also many tracks on the floor of the ground, and on these tracks were carts carrying ores. There were even more ore mines at some distance away, and these carts were from those ore mines.

The carts moved automatically, carrying a cart full of ore from the ore mines to a giant hole to the west, then these carts automatically poured the ores in.

Jiang Feng tried to take the ores on the carts, but the system told him they could take items with owners, and this made him a bit disappointed.

There was also a giant hole to the east, and in the middle of the hole was where a giant rock platform was erected. On the platform was a giant altar, and on the altar, five gnomes stood, One of them was an aged gnome with a staff in his hand and was performing a ceremony on the altar. The other four were just guarding him. The rest of the gnomes knelt by the cave, praying towards the altar piously.

Seeing this, Jiang Feng carefully approached the eastern hole.

Once he had reached the side of the hole, he looked down.

"A Spinosaurus!"

What shook him up the most was that underneath was rolling lava, and on top of that lava was a western dragon bound in chains.

Earth-covered Dragon: Divine Beast (Weakened, Dying, Falling[1])

Introduction: 10,000 years ago, the Earth-covered Dragon was being critically injured by the Infernal King Heize. Infernal energy intruded into its body. It accidentally escaped to the gnomes. Because of the infernal energy within it, it had killed many gnomes. Finally, it has been captured by the gnomes, and chained on top of the lava, hoping that it would burn it to death. 10,000 years have passed, but because of its power, the Earth-covered Dragon has not yet died.

Health Points: 1,000,000 (Dying state reduces attribute by 90%.)

Attack: 500,000–600,000 (Dying state reduces attribute by 90%.)

Defense: 300,000 (Dying state reduces attribute by 90%.)

Skills: Unable to use skills due to the Dying state.

"Damn, it's still so strong when it is in a dying state, even its sneeze could kill me! That is so terrifying!" Jiang Feng looked at the Earth-covered Dragon's attributes and took in a deep breath as his body shuddered involuntarily.

"The evil dragon had killed hundreds of thousands of our people, destroyed our home! Now that we have the perfect weapon, the gnome king shall use his life to unseal the weapon, so that we can use it to destroy the evil dragon once and for all, as well as preventing it from becoming fallen and to give aid to evil!"

At this time, an old gnome wielding a staff shouted out loud as he had finished his ritual, and he was the elder priest of the gnomes.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

All the gnomes knelt by the hole yelled out.

"While the health points and defense of the gnomes are exceptionally high, their attacks are so weak. How could they kill the Earth-covered Dragon?"

Jiang Feng knew that once the Earth-covered Dragon completely falls and its health restored, it would definitely be used by the Infernals. While the gnomes did not belong to any specific race, they hated the Infernals. So, they would be more than happy to kill the Earth-covered Dragon. But from where he stood, it would not be possible for them to kill the Earth-covered Dragon.

Buzz.

At this time, he realized that the Divine Fate Compass in his Spatial Bracelet shone brightly. He was slightly surprised and quickly looked to the hands of the elder priest.

Only to see that the elder priest was now holding a broken sword tip, and the sword tip had many patterns, bright and holy.

Driven by curiosity, he used Identify on it.

Xuanyuan Sword Fragment: Most Powerful of the Primordial Divine Artifacts.

Introduction: Xuanyuan Sword, most powerful of the Primordial Divine Artifacts. 10,000 years ago, it was broken into 12 pieces and scattered throughout the world. Not long ago, the King of Gnomes found its tip. In order to kill the Earth-covered Dragon, the King of Gnomes used his life to unlock a slither of its ability.

Attributes: ???

"My gosh! How is this possible?! One of the most powerful weapons of the Divines is in the hands of the gnomes? No wonder the Divine Fate Compass has pointed me here, this was the real treasure that the Divine Fate Compass had found!"

Jiang Feng's lips had become dry, and his eyes were filled with desire as he stared at the Xuanyuan Sword fragment in the elder's hand.

He was a Shifter, and his greatest enemies were the Divines and Infernals.

If he could obtain the Xuanyuan Sword fragments, the destined successor of the Divines would no longer be able to complete the Xuanyuan Sword. And when the Great Divine-Infernal War begins, only then would he have a chance to defeat the successor and restore glory to the Shifters.

As he thought of this, he began to plot on how he could obtain the Xuanyuan Sword Fragment!

Chapter 51: Slay the Dragon

As he hid in a corner near the hole, Jiang Feng's eyes stared at the elder priest's Xuanyuan Sword's fragment and were plotting for a way to take it.

But looking at the number of gnomes that were at the tens of thousands, he became agitated.

These gnomes were all around Level 40 to 80. With his current strength, he wouldn't even be able to defeat a gnome child, much less fight properly.

Not to mention that the moment he tried to snatch the Xuanyuan Sword fragment from a Level 80 elder priest, he would be instantly killed as soon as he showed himself.

What a slim chance!

He could only sigh when he thought of this.

"But I have to try it. If I managed to succeed, then it would be great! If I failed, then I would die at most!" After going back and forth over it, he had decided to try.

"Kill!"

As he was thinking about how to snatch the Xuanyuan Sword fragment, the elder priest cried out coldly. The Xuanyuan Sword sword tip fragment floated into the air, glowing a golden light.

"Kill!" All the gnomes called out.

The entire hole was filled with the voice of those who wished to kill!

Whoosh.

Suddenly, an ethereal gnome appeared at the Xuanyuan Sword's sword tip.

The ethereal gnome stroked its beard with an expression that carried might without the need of being angry, and there was an aura of majesty to him.

"Chief!"

Seeing the ethereal gnome, the gnomes at this place all cried in tears, and kowtowed towards the King of Gnomes in sorrow.

The King of Gnomes looked at his subjects, then said out loud, "Iron was born in the hands of Life. Hit it a thousand and hundred times so that you can distill its essence, which is called the Essence of Iron. Melt it in the divine flames, so that it can be morphed into a hundred shapes. Instill a soul, and give rise to the Artifact Spirit, and the Artifact Spirit would be no weaker than a Divine. Remember well, if the gnomes wish to become stronger, then you must continue to forge divine weapons. Use the Artifact Spirit from the divine weapons, and only then would the gnomes live on forever!"

The words of the King of Gnomes felt as if they had some penetrating power, and they struck right at man's soul.

Whoosh.

Many of the gnomes that were talented had lights shone on them after finishing hearing the King of Gnomes' words, and their Smithing skill increased by one step.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on listening to the wisdom of the King of Gnomes, your Smithing skill has increased by one level.

"Haha, is that supposed to be possible?"

The system's voice that rang by his ear made Jiang Feng excited.

His Smithing had already reached master level, so he never thought that listening to the King of Gnomes' words would allow his Smithing skill to increase by another level, allowing him to increase his smithing level to Spiritual level!

In truth, there was a reason that his smithing skill had increased.

While the words of the King of Gnomes were short, but it was the essence, the deepest analysis of the gnome's understanding of smithing.

The king's words had allowed him to understand about smithing more.

If he wanted to create a divine weapon, he would first need to obtain the Essence of Iron by hitting the iron for a thousand and a hundred times. Next, he would need to use divine fire to smelt the essence of iron, and the essence of iron shall become a divine weapon in a form dictated by the smith. When the Divine Weapon was crafted, it still needed a soul to be fused within so that it could produce an Artifact Spirit. Once the Artifact Spirit becomes stronger, the Divine Weapon would become stronger as well.

Perhaps it was because his understanding of smithing had allowed his smithing level to increase by one.

"Kill!"

With the words from the King of Gnomes, he roared with great anger in his eyes and controlled the Xuanyuan Sword sword tip to fly towards the Earth-covered Dragon that had been chained under the altar.

Roar!

The dying Earth-covered Dragon felt that its life was in danger, unleashed a dragon howl, and its body swayed, hoping to release itself from the chains to prevent its death.

Unfortunately, as it's dying, it could only struggle for a while before running out of strength. Its eyes carried a maddening killing intent as it stared at the Xuanyuan Sword sword tip going to pierce its head.

Screech.

The Xuanyuan Sword sword tip went through the Earth-covered Dragon's head, leaving a giant bloody hole in its head.

Then, a black aura raised from the Earth-covered Dragon's brain and was burnt into nothingness by the lava.

"Gnomes! I apologize to you! Thank you for killing me, or I would have become the sinner of the Divines and Shifters."

When the black aura floated out of the Earth-covered Dragon, its Falling status had been removed. Its madness had disappeared, and his eyes as big as lanterns were filled with clarity and guilt. It spoke to the gnomes in weakness, then closed its eyes slowly as its body slumped. It had died!

The Earth-covered Dragon's final words caused his heart to tremble. He knelt down and prayed for the Earth-covered Dragon for his sacrificial act.

"While I admire you, I must apologize in order to restore the glory of the Shifters!"

Jiang Feng stared at the Earth-covered Dragon's corpse and muttered, then his eyes squinted as he took out the Qiankun Gourd and carried it in its mouth. He then jumped towards the Earth-covered Dragon's body and used the Absorb skill to absorb the Xuanyuan Sword sword tip that was lying nearby in the cliff wall very close to the lava.

-500

-500

...

He activated the absorb skill, and his HP kept decreasing.

"Damnable beast, what are you doing?!"

At this time, the gnome elder that stood on the altar had finally discovered him, shouted out and a ball of flames appeared on the staff as it slammed towards Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng looked at that ball of flames, and he became anxious as he sweated: Absorb it in, quickly!

"High-speed Movement!"

Just as the ball of fire was going to slam into him, he quickly used High-Speed Movement and dodged that ball of fire and dropped on the body of the Earth-covered Dragon.

Clang...

Seeing that the flames did not kill Jiang Feng, all the gnomes near the hole stood up, and took out chains after chains and threw them at him.

'Absorb!' Seeing that his hp was less than one third, Jiang Feng became even more anxious and roared in his mind.

Whoosh.

Perhaps his roar was heard by the Qiankun Gourd, the rate of absorption had increased by one step, and the Xuanyuan Sword sword tip did move as it was on the cliff by the lava. In a moment, it turned into prismatic light as it thrust itself into the Qiankun Gourd.

"Done!"

Jiang Feng became excited as he now possessed the Xuanyuan Sword sword tip fragment.

And then he saw hundreds of chains whipped towards him. He did not dodge, and he stood still, prepared for the inevitable death.

Since even if he resisted, he wouldn't be able to leave the gnomes' territory alive. If that was the case, death would offer him a quicker escape.

"Hm?"

Jiang Feng, while waiting for his death, looked at the Earth-covered Dragon's body underneath him. He had an audacious thought.

He wondered if he could use Transmute Monster to transmute the Earth-covered Dragon. If he succeeded, perhaps he could even gain a Divine Artifact!

"Transmute Monster, transmute!"

Once he thought of that, he immediately used Transmute Monster on the Earth-covered Dragon's corpse.

He actually really wanted to use the fusing ability of the Transmute Monster, but once he remembered that there was a success rate for the fusing ability, he gave up. Fusing with a Divine Beast was completely impossible. But he might still have a little of chance if he chose to transmute it.

Boom!

The moment he used Transmute Monster, a blazing fire enveloped the Earth-covered Dragon's body. And at the same time, several hundred chains slammed into his body fiercely.

There was an intense sense of pain, and his body began to solely dissipate. Just before he disappeared, he saw something in the flames that enveloped the Earth-covered Dragon. He couldn't even see what it was, but he had it moved into the Spatial Bracelet!

The moment that it was in the Spatial Bracelet, he blacked out, and appeared in the void!

Chapter 52: Blood of the Divine Dragon

After Jiang Feng had been killed, he entered the void in preparation for his resurrection.

When he was waiting, he did not wait idly by. He took out the Xuanyuan Sword fragment from the Qiankun Gourd.

Xuanyuan Sword Fragment: Most Powerful of the Ten Primordial Divine Artifact

Attributes: None.

The stats for the Xuanyuan Sword fragment was very simple and can be summed up in a few words.

"It's just the same as the Donghuang Bell fragment, completely useless."

Looking at the stats for the Xuanyuan Sword's stats, Jiang Feng didn't have much change in emotion at all, as if this was all in his expectations.

It looked like the Ten Primordial Divine Artifacts had mostly been destroyed, and have either become fragmented or become other equipment. They couldn't use any of their overpowered abilities that early in the game, and he suspected that he had to wait until late game when they were restored. Only then would they begin to shine once again, and unleash their overpowering strength.

The Xuanyuan Sword fragments being useless were already in his expectations. After he had checked the stats, he then placed them back in the Qiankun Gourd.

While it was useless to him, keeping it meant that he could use it as a check and balance against the successor of the Divines' destiny.

'The moment I died, I think I remember hearing a system prompt, and I had obtained something from the flames.' When he was slain, he had used Transmute Monster on the Earth-covered Dragon. He did not hear clearly what the system said. Remembering this, he quickly looked at the system prompt's history.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster failed. Congratulations on obtaining Five drops of Dragon Blood.

What? He could still get things after he had failed the Transmute Monster?

Jiang Feng looked at the content of the System Prompt and could hardly believe it.

He opened the Spatial Bracelet and looked within it.

Only to see that within one of the slots in the Spatial Bracelet lay five drops of Dragon Blood in silence.

Divine Dragon Blood: Bloodline

It can be consumed by a pet to improve its bloodline. There's a chance to increase its Rank.

"Haha, this is a good thing! I was just having a headache in trying to find ways to improve my bloodline! With these five drops of Divine Dragon Blood, my Dragon race Bloodline can be improved after I consume it!"

Jiang Feng became excited after he saw the stats for the Divine Dragon Blood.

These five drops of Divine Dragon Blood were from a pure dragon bloodline. It was very possible that it would allow his Dragon Race Bloodline and Purity to reach 100%. If that was the case, he only needed an evolution pill to become a dragon.

After his initial excitement, he looked at the time. It was already 6.30 a.m. He quickly logged out of the game.

After washing himself up, he made and had breakfast then went back into the game. Today was a weekend, and he had no classes this weekend, so there was no need for him to go back to class.

Once he had returned to the game, he was already revived. When he revived, the system automatically helped him choose a location to revive in. And that was the top of the steep cliff.

Looking down from the cliff and seeing the heavy mist, he smiled and muttered, "Thank you, gnomes!"

With that, he found a place where no one would pass by and took out a drop of Divine Dragon Blood.

One drop of Divine Dragon Blood was the size of an egg. It was hot to the touch and was also slightly heavy.

He consumed the Divine Dragon Blood without any hesitation.

After he had consumed it, he could feel his body become hot. And it was a very terrible feeling.

Roar!

He roared loudly as he suffered.

Next, he began to lose his fur and scales began to cover them. The dragon antlers began to grow somewhat longer.

Ding! System Prompt: As you have consumed the Divine Dragon Blood, your Earth elemental resistance has increased by 10%. Dragon race bloodline has reached 100%, purity has reached 60%.

'Purity had only reached 60%? Let's try one more!'

After hearing the system's voice, he frowned and took out another drop of Divine Dragon Blood and consumed it.

Ding! System Prompt: As you have consumed the Divine Dragon Blood, your Earth elemental resistance has increased by 10%. Dragon race bloodline had reached 100%, purity had reached 100%.

"It's done!"

After it had consumed the second drop of Divine Dragon Blood, its purity had finally reached 100%, and he became elated.

"With that, I can become a dragon when I next use an Evolution Pill!"

Once he imagined that he could soar in the Nine Heavens as a dragon, he was so thrilled and excited that he wished he could get another Evolution Pill right there and then.

Just as he was being excited, he suddenly heard a chain of announcements from the system. They were even written in the skies to congratulate the forming of a guild.

Ding! System Announcement: Congratulations to player "Shen Ye" for forming the "Myth Guild." As the first player to have formed a guild, 500 reputation points and 100gp were awarded. All players are welcome to join!

Ding. System Announcement: Congratulations to player "Ling Yun" for forming the "Lingyun Pavillion." As the second player to have formed a guild, 200 reputation points and 50gp were awarded. All players are welcome to join!

Ding. System Announcement: Congratulations to player "Hao Tian" for forming the "Tianxia Gang." As the third player to have formed a guild, 100 reputation points and 10gp were awarded. All players are welcome to join!

...

"Heavens. Even though building a guild only required the Guild Proof, one of those Guild Proof requires 10,000gp. How could they gather so many gold pieces in such a short time?"

Building a guild in this game was very simple. One only needed a Guild Proof, and a Guild Proof was worth 10,000gp.

As the Banking Exchange Service hadn't been activated yet, getting so many gold pieces was extremely difficult.

"Looks like they must have offered a high price to buy the gold pieces in the game. In order to get the reputation of being the first guild, all of them were really willing to spend money."

After giving it a thought, he then found the answer.

The number of players in this game had reached twenty million. All of these players had some gold on them. All they needed was to offer a high price for these gold pieces, and it wouldn't be difficult to get ten thousand gold pieces.

In less than a minute, a dozen guilds had been formed. And he smelled the scent of gunpowder in the air.

After the guild had been formed, the next thing to do was to build a Guild Base.

Building a Guild Base required the Guild-Building Order. These guilds would most probably find information on Level 35 bosses so that they could farm for the Guild-Building Order.

But to Jiang Feng, whoever built the guilds had nothing to do with him, Most importantly, he needed to quickly increase his level and take back his position as the top leveled character in the leaderboard.

As he died once, his level had dropped to Level 14. He had already dropped out of the Level Leaderboard and can no longer enjoy the benefits given to the top.

"Let's go leveling!"

And he ran towards the outside of the Crouching Dragon Range.

As his Polymorph cooldown hadn't ended, he couldn't polymorph to return to the city, so he had to run his way back.

Only after running for half an hour did he arrive at the territory owned by the Level 14 Blackpatterned Panther.

Ding! System Prompt: Canaan has invited you to join the "Canaan Guild." Will you accept?

A guild invite appeared in front of him when he had just released Yanhu and Heifeng from the Qiankun Gourd and was ready to go kill some monsters.

He didn't give it any thought and clicked on no!

"If I hadn't seen you, I would probably agree and use the guild to earn some side income. Unfortunately, you are too clever and have become a threat to my identity. I'm sorry," Jiang Feng muttered under his breath. He did not look at the messages sent by Canaan afterward as he licked his lips and started killing monsters.

What he did not know was that his rejection of joining Canaan's guild invitation was a heavy blow to her.

Chapter 53: Look, a plane!

Imperial Dragon City, a private room in the Cuixiang Pavilion restaurant.

All the higher-ups from the Canaan Corporation were here.

"He refused!"

Canaan frowned as she looked at Jiang Feng on her Friend List.

"How could he do that?! He said that he would join our guild! How can he go back against his own words?" Han Qianqian said angrily.

"That's right. As a veteran, his words mean nothing?!" said another higherup who was similarly angry.

Hearing the complaints from those around her, Canaan held her fist tightly. She said nothing as she looked out to the window.

She originally thought that with Jiang Feng joining her, her guild's power would become stronger. And that she had a better chance at winning the bet with Situ Hao.

But now that Jiang Feng had refused her invitation, that meant that he no longer wanted to join their guild. This meant that they had lost an elite.

He had promised me to join earlier but had now rejected it. Something must have happened in between. Perhaps he had a reason?

Canaan looked outside the window as she thought it through.

Knock, knock.

Suddenly, the door of the private room was knocked on.

Han Qianqian went to open the door as she complained.

Once she opened the door, two young ladies came in. One tall and one short. One was so beautiful that it couldn't be described. One was so cute that she looked like a porcelain doll.

"Sis Mu Xi! Little Tiaotiao!" Han Qianqian exclaimed when she saw them come in.

"How are you, Sis Qianqian?" Nangong Tiaotiao greeted Han Qianqian politely.

"There, there!" Han Qianqian smiled as she patted Nangong Tiaotiao.

Mu Xi smiled at Han Qianqian, then walked towards the standing Canaan. "Have a problem?"

"Hmph! It's all because of that Jiang Feng! He promised that he would join our guild, but he's no longer joining us. What an untrustworthy person! I'm pissed."

Canaan was just going to speak when Han Qianqian said it first angrily.

"Oh? Jiang Feng?" Mu Xi raised her eyebrow.

"Let's not talk about him. Now that Sis Mu Xi is willing to help, our guild will become even stronger," Canaan said with a smile as she pulled Mu Xi's hand and had her sit next to her.

Beep Beep.

At this time, Canaan's friend panel began to blink.

"Hm?"

Canaan was slightly surprised, but she clicked to open her friend panel. Her eyes squinted, then she let out a smile.

"Xiao Li, why are you so happy?" Mu Xi looked at Canaan's facial expression and asked with a pout.

"Nothing. Let's talk about the guild."

Level 14 Blackpatterned Panther territory.

Jiang Feng looked at the message that he had sent out, and muttered, "Since I was the one that broke my promise, I suppose I no longer break it this way."

With that, he continued to kill the monsters.

His current strength plus those from Yanhu and Heifeng, they could kill monsters very quickly.

Once a monster is dead, as long as he could control the timing that he used Transmute Monster, he could then use Transmute Monster to transmute the monster's corpse as soon as possible.

Ding! System Prompt. Congratulations on reaching Level 15. You have received 3 free attribute points.

After grinding for 3 hours, his level had once again raised to Level 15.

When he had reached Level 15, he equipped the Armor Piercing Claw, and he was getting ready to find an area with Level 15 monsters to hunt monsters.

Since he had been killing monsters for three hours, he had also used Transmute Monster more than a hundred times, and not only did he not get any bloodline, he didn't even have one Evolution Pill. So he was preparing to switch to another monster's territory.

Roar!

Just as he was ready to leave, he then saw a giant Blackpatterned Panther appear before him. This was the Blackpatterned Panther King.

Yanhu blinked his eyes at the Blackpatterned Panther King and asked Jiang Feng. "Boss, are we recruiting him or killing him?"

"Kill him!"

The Blackpatterned Panther King's level and rank were too low. He wasn't going to recruit him. Since if the monster's rank was too low, there wouldn't be enough evolution pills to go around.

With only Yanhu, Heifeng, and him, they already did not have enough Evolution Pills. Not to mention that Yanhu and Heifeng hadn't even had one yet, and they were starting to complain.

That was why he wasn't going to recruit the Blackpatterned Panther King.

When they received his orders, Yanhu and Heifeng then pounced towards the Blackpatterned Panther King.

Yanhu and Heifeng had reached Rank 4. While the Blackpatterned Panther King was also at Rank 4, its attributes weren't as high as Yanhu and Heifeng's. Because of that, it was quickly taken care of by them in a short while.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. You have received one Blackpatterned Panther King Pelt, one piece of equipment, one skill book, and one Evolution Pill.

"Hm?"

Hearing the system's voice, Jiang Feng was stunned for a while before being overtaken by joy.

"I had never expected that Transmute Monster could even produce Skill Books. Not only that, we even received an Evolution Pill. What a pleasant surprise!" He said excitedly, then quickly took out the few items from the flame and looked at their stats.

Bullrush: Active Skill

After activation, the user's body instantly moves 5 meters and bullrushes an enemy. The enemy will be knocked away, dealing 130% of base damage and dazed for 2 seconds. Has a cooldown of 10 seconds.

Sage's Codex: White-Silver Equipment

Spirit 15

Magic Attack 80

-10% Skill Cooldown

10% MP regeneration speed

Sage's Blessing: Active skill, increases all attributes of an ally by 10%. Duration of 5 minutes. Cooldown of 10 seconds.

Prerequisites: Level 15 Spellcaster Classes

"Both equipment and skills are not bad, I should be able to sell it for around 7 or 8 thousand."

To think he could earn around 8,000 by killing a Blackpatterned Panther King, this made him quite happy.

It was lucky that he did not join Canaan. With his current ability and speed of earning money, there was no need for him to join any guilds.

Just as he was ready to collect the items, he remembered something and opened the Trading Hall. He was going to trade the Skill Book and equipment to Canaan specially 1bp, then put a note saying "10,000."

Beep. Beep.

As soon as he had specified to sell it to Canaan, she had almost instantly agreed to it. At the same time, a text saying about the fund transfer had also been received.

This was what he meant in the message that he sent to Canaan.

As long as he got anything good, he would choose to sell it to the Canaan Guild. No bargaining, and he set the price.

To tell the truth, he wasn't losing anything this way. In fact, he was earning from it.

Canaan Guild wouldn't lose anything as well. With Jiang Feng helping them to get equipment, then their guild would always be leading other guilds by one level.

It could be said that it's a win-win situation.

"Boss..."

"Boss..."

As soon as he had dealt with the equipment and skill, he then heard the voice from Yanhu and Heifeng.

Only to see those two drooling and waving their tail and looked at him with adulation.

Jiang Feng looked at them, blinked, then threw two roast chickens at them. He smiled and said, "Not bad, this is your reward."

"Boss, don't be like that! You said you would get the golden pills for us." Complaint Heifeng after he gulped the roast chicken in one gulp, then wiped his mouth using his tiger paw.

"Did I?" Jiang Feng feigned ignorance.

"Yes!" Yanhu nodded seriously.

"Look, a plane!" Seeing Yanhu and Heifeng looking at him with a grudge, he quickly pointed into the sky with his tiger claw.

"Where? Where's the plane... Gosh, boss, you're so shameless."

The moment Yanhu and Heifeng turned and looked, Jiang Feng had thrown the Evolution Pill into his mouth. Next, a blazing fire enveloped him. When Yanhu and Heifeng turned their eyes back, all they could see was the flame enveloping Jiang Feng, and they could only roar at him.

Chapter 54: Rank 1 Wyrmling vs Matter Duplication Pill

After he had consumed the Evolution Pill, Jiang Feng's body had been enveloped by a flaming cocoon.

The burning pain came, but he wasn't sure if he was feeling it wrong. It felt like the pain this time was less intense.

Maybe after being burned so much, he finally had some resistance against it?

Ding1 System Prompt: Fire Resistance 10%

"Um... Alright!"

Just as Jiang Feng was having some doubt, the system's voice rang in his ear. He was surprised, and a bit speechless.

It was just as he had thought. This game was created to be very friendly. Once you have reached your limit in enduring something, you will receive a resistance against it or improve your existing resistance.

If he guessed correctly if someone were to commit to physical labor in the game, it would increase his strength, and running would increase agility...

Of course, the increase wouldn't be a lot, but it just needed to be accumulated over time.

This time, the evolution took a bit longer. Ten minutes had passed, and he still hadn't finished evolving.

But he could feel his body getting smaller and smaller.

Ding! System Prompt: Evolution successful!

Boom!

There was an explosion, and the smoke covered his figure.

Only after the smoke had dissipated was his body shown.

Roar!

A dragon had roared. Yanhu and Heifeng, who were complaining as they waited on the side, instantly groveled on the ground and looked at Jiang Feng.

"Oh my gosh, why did I only hear a dragon's roar, but I can't see a dragon?" Yanhu looked around and asked in confusion.

"That's right. The boss had finished his evolution, but we don't see him at all," said Heifeng puzzlingly as he squinted and scanned around, but he saw no dragon and saw no Jiang Feng.

And then, a snake with antlers crept out from the hole where the flaming cocoon exploded.

"Oh, look! There's a snake. Hehe, guess we're going to have a snake for dinner," Seeing the snake with antlers creeping out from the hole, he smiled and quickly jumped on it. His sturdy tiger paw smacked on the snake with antlers.

"Oh god, Yanhu!"

The snake with antlers raised its head and scolded at Yanhu after it was smacked.

"B... Boss...? Why did you become something like this...?" Yanhu asked after hearing a familiar voice. He then quickly let go of the snake with antlers and then gave it a sniff. It scared him to the point where he took a few steps back and gave the snake an awkward smile.

That was right. The snake with the antlers was Jiang Feng, who had successfully evolved.

"Hahahaha... Boss became a little snake..." Heifeng pointed at Jiang Feng and laughed to the point where he rolled on the ground.

"Get lost!"

Jiang Feng told off Yanhu and Heifeng, then quickly opened his status window to see his 3-dimensional look.

"Um..."

The moment he saw his current look, he also felt speechless.

He was about a meter long, had two little antlers and a pair of claws. If you don't look carefully, he does look like a snake.

"While I did get smaller, my attributes have increased substantially. And I also have two more skills."

After seeing his stats, all his depression was gone, and he began to smile.

A wyrmling's form cannot be compared to its adult form. Once he gave it a thought, he then accepted his current form.

Dragon Howl: Active skill. When activated, enemies within 20 meters are dazed for 2 seconds. Has a cooldown of 10 minutes.

Float: Active skill. When activated, the body can float into the air. Once you entered an aggro radius, you can only fly 10 meters off the ground. Has a duration of 10 minutes. Has a cooldown of 10 minutes.

"One of them is a large radius crowd control skill, and the other is a flying skill. Not bad."

Jiang Feng looked at the two skills happily and quickly used the Float skill so that he could feel what it was like to fly.

As he used the Float skill, his body began to float.

A pair of dragon claws rowed the air, and his long body began to slither in the air. His speed became faster and faster, and he went directly into the clouds.

"Haha, this is great!"

The freedom to fly made him excited, and he swam in the air like a fish in the water.

Unfortunately, it was nighttime. While his sight wasn't affected, he could not see the world's scenery.

After playing for a while, he opened the Monster Transmutation System's panel.

"I didn't expect that after the evolution, my Polymorph duration had increased so much! Even the cooldown had decreased!" He said with a surprise as he looked at the Polymorph skill in the Monster Transmutation System panel.

Originally, the Polymorph skill only had a duration of 41 minutes. He could now maintain it for 101 minutes, which was close to two hours. Not only that, but its cooldown had also reduced to 20 hours from its original 24 hours.

After the initial excitement, he flicked his tongue and muttered. "Every evolution success grants a chance for a draw at the lottery. I wonder what kind of things I could get this time!"

With that, he activated the lottery spinning wheel.

When he started the spinning wheel, the pointer quickly spun.

This time, the pointer stopped after spinning a little while, and it stopped at the Pill area. A White-Silver chest appeared in front of him.

"Hm? I haven't had the opportunity to get something from the pills area yet. I wonder what kind of pills they would give."

Seeing the indicator stopped at the pills area, he was slightly disappointed, but because he had never got anything from it, he couldn't give an honest review yet. So, he was still looking forward to it.

He opened the Silver-White chest, and he didn't have to think to know that inside was a pill.

The pill was white and gave a white glow.

Matter Duplication Pill: After using it, can duplicate anything with a physical form (Certain special items cannot be duplicated, for example, Primordial Divine Artifact.)

Holy shit!

He originally thought that it probably was going to be a pill that increased attributes or a buff. What he did not expect was that while the pill's level wasn't that high, its effects were very overpowered.

Duplicate. Duplicate an item with a physical form. That meant that, other than the Primordial Divine Artifacts, normal Divine Artifacts could be duplicated from one to two.

Once he thought of that, he was so excited that he was speechless. His dragon claw held the Matter Duplication Pill in his hand, and he even kissed it before carefully storing it away.

"Currently, other than the Divine Dragon blood, there was nothing else that was worth duplication on me. Next time, when I got an Evolution Pull, I could duplicate it into two."

What he lacked the most currently were the Evolution Pill. With the Matter Duplication Pill, next time he got an Evolution Pill, he could then turn it into two Evolution Pill. He could give one to Yanhu and another one to Heifeng at the same time, so they would stop complaining to me.

As for the Divine Dragon Blood, he still had three drops. He could consume two drops and evolve one more time. He would save the last drop, so when he had drawn the Matter Duplication Pill again, he could duplicate the Divine Dragon Blood.

"Today was a really bountiful day."

After he had tucked away the Matter Duplication Pill, his body slowly headed towards the ground. Float's duration was almost finished.

Clang!

Boom!

When he almost reached the ground, he suddenly realized that around 50 players were surrounding Yanhu and Heifeng, and Heifeng's HP was almost depleted. He had only 1000 HP left. Yanhu wasn't doing so well himself, with half his hp gone.

"You all have a death wish!"

Seeing that, all his excitement was replaced with fury instantly and he swooped towards the group of players.

Chapter 55: Slaying Shen Ye Again

Yanhu and Heifeng had insufficient strength, but they had helped him out in these few days.

And he hadn't fulfilled his promises to them yet, so he didn't want Yanhu and Heifeng to die like that.

Roar!

Seeing that Heifeng was almost going to get killed, Jiang Feng flew over. He let out a Dragon Howl, causing all the players nearby to get dazed.

"Take these Small Recovery Pills!"

As soon as the players were dazed, he quickly took out two Small Recovery Pills and gave them to Yanhu and Heifeng.

Yanfu jumped and ate the Small Recovery Pill. Heifeng, who only had around 300 hp left, ate the other Small Recover Pill.

Whoosh!

"No!"

Suddenly, an arrow came from afar. Jiang Feng became anxious and used High-Speed Movement to rush towards Heifeng. Unfortunately, he was still one step too late. The arrow plunged into Heifeng's neck, and blood flowed according to the arrow shaft.

-401.

"No!"

"Heifeng!"

Heifeng had only consumed the Small Recovery Pill. His HP hadn't reached 400, and he was already shot. And this arrow took away all of Heifeng's hp. Seeing this, both Jiang Feng and Yanhu let out a roar.

"Boss... I..."

As Heifeng's life was scattering, he managed to mumble a sentence before falling to the ground and several items fell out from him.

"Yanhu, drag Heifeng's body somewhere else!"

Seeing Heifeng being killed, Jiang Feng's eyes were filled with killing intent. He ordered Yanhu, then stared at the player that fired the arrow. He became even more maddening and roared, "Shen Ye! You have a death wish! If I don't kill you to the point you're back to the Starter Village, my name is not Jiang Feng!"

To tell the truth, while Yanhu and Heifeng were his underlings, he treated them as his good friends. And they were his only friends.

And that was why when Yanhu and Heifeng chatted with him there was no so-called hierarchy and they spoke their mind freely. And while they had some intelligence, they would not understand what plotting is, and as such, that was their true character!

And that was why they could get along very well. And he also truly wanted to make them extremely strong, and to conquer the world together with him.

But Heifeng had become a body now. Just moments ago, he was playing pitiful trying to get an Evolution Pill from him.

The loss of a friend. The unfulfilled promise. These made him furious.

And that arrow was fired by Shen Ye, who had crossed his path before. This made him even more enraged.

"Tornado!"

After he saw that Yanhu had dragged Heifeng's body afar, he then roared at the players that were rushing towards him.

Whoosh...

Suddenly, a giant tornado appeared out of nowhere and swirled the players all into the air.

-768.

-693.

-832.

With his current 2,000 points of attack, all the players that were caught into the tornado all turned into white light in less than five seconds.

The remaining twenty players were all shocked to see this and began to retreat.

"Escape? Tiger Roar!"

When he saw that the remaining twenty plus players wished to escape, he used Tiger Roar on them. Around eight players that were caught within that 5-meter long straight line were instantly slain.

With two of his most damaging skills used, his pair of dragon claws caught the ground. Then he shot himself through the air like an arrow and quickly appeared behind a player. His dragon claws violently clawed at his back. One Violent Grab and he only had a slither of health left. One more normal attack and he was instantly killed. He then chased after the other dozen players.

Seeing this scene, Shen Ye was extremely surprised. But once he saw Jiang Feng's status, his eyes beamed. He told a player called Lie Sha next to him and said, "I did not expect that we would encounter a wyrmling coming here for a guild quest. Call more of our brethren from the guild. Don't let him escape, I want to catch him as my pet!"

Lie Sha nodded and opened the guild's page and announced a gathering.

"Oh no, it's coming for us! You're all Level 15 and have the Capture skill. Use everything you have to capture him!"

In less than a minute, those dozens of players had all been killed. Seeing Jiang Feng was coming for him, Shen Ye quickly ordered the other four players next to him.

They had all reached Level 15 and had access to the Capture skill given for free by the system.

Now that there was a wyrmling in front of him, how could they give up? They scattered and prepared to use Capture to catch Jiang Feng.

When Jiang Feng saw that Shen Ye and the four other players around him did not escape, he smiled coldly in his mind. He then pounced towards Shen Ye.

Buzz.

Just as he was approaching Shen Ye, a light barrier appeared on him and shut him in.

Ding! System Prompt: Shen Ye has used Capture on you. Due to special reasons, you cannot become a player's pet. However, Capture will cause a 0.5-second binding effect. The more powerful you are, the shorter the binding effect becomes.

As soon as the system's voice had ended, he could move again. He hurled himself towards Shen Ye, but at this time, a light barrier appeared on him again. This caused him to get stunned for a while, and he could move again.

But it wasn't long before that and another light barrier encased him and caused him to stop again.

"Damn Capture skill! Why is your cooldown so short! This is such bullshit!"

After being continuously struck by five Captures, each time his momentum was cut and this made him very irritated.

Luckily, the Capture skill has a 5 seconds cooldown time.

Once these five had finished using Capture, and seeing that Shen Ye had held out his hand and ready to use Capture again, his dragon claw clawed at the ground and he shot himself towards Shen Ye. "Die!"

Violent Grab and Bite both skills were used on Shen Ye, and before Shen Ye could even react, he was instantly killed. At the same time, a piece of equipment was dropped.

He picked up the equipment that was dropped from Shen Ye, and he rushed towards the other three.

"Scatter! Take turns to use Capture to slow him down, then attack! Monsters become easier to capture when they have less HP!"

A spellcaster player called Bai Xia commanded the other three players.

'Heh, you want to use Capture to limit me?'

When Jiang Feng heard Bai Xia's plan, he gave a cold smile and sprinted towards him.

Bai Xia had also used Capture as soon as he could.

As soon as 0.5 seconds had passed, Jiang Feng had already approached the retreating Bai Xia. Even before the second Capture skill was used on him, his claw had struck on Bai Xia.

While the skill Capture could limit Jiang Feng, around 6 or 7 players were needed to be able to limit him.

The skill Capture's cooldown was 5 seconds. The binding effect was 0.5 seconds. After the first person used Capture and the binding ended, then the second person would use Capture, so on and so forth. After ten times, the first person's cooldown for his Capture has passed, and he could go for the second round of limiting him.

Seven players with good coordination could also perfectly do the same thing. For example, when Jiang Feng was freed of the binding, drag him for 0.5 seconds or 1 second while not being damaged, and they could then limit him.

Of course, Capture only had this 0.5-second binding effect on him. It would not exist for other monsters. If not, a group of players could easily farm a boss without ever being harmed.

However, when five of them were trying to limit him, he noticed that Capture also had a weakness. And that was the player could not move when the skill was being used. This skill also had a somatic component. The waving of a hand to use the skill. And while they did that, it would give him enough time to move a few meters.

And that was why when Baixia used Capture on Jiang Feng that wasn't that far away, he was attacked before he had the time to retreat. Because he was a Wizard who had low hit points. One attack was all he needed to instantly kill him.

There were only three left, and they could not limit him.

While these three were also veterans and used positioning to their advantage to fight a good fight, they were still killed in the end.

This was because his stats were much higher than theirs, and his movement speed was faster than theirs. Tactics are meaningless when faced with absolute strength, and only speed cannot be overcome. And he had shown them why.

After killing around 50 players, his honor points had increased by around 5000. After cleaning the battlefield, he quickly ran towards Heifeng's body.

Chapter 56: Why Take Things So Seriously?

Bosses killed within the game would not be revived.

Especially Yanhu and Heifeng. As they both had followed Jiang Feng, meaning that they had abandoned their territories. Their territories would be led by new bosses.

Once they died, they really died. They couldn't revive like Jiang Feng without limits.

But Jiang Feng had a way to bring back Hei Feng.

As he ran and reached Heifeng's side, he said to Yanhu, "Quickly, throw Heifeng's body next to a Blackpatterned Panther!"

Yanhu nodded and dragged Heifeng's body and hurled it onto a Blackpatterned Panther.

"Transmute Monster, Transmute!"

Ding! System Prompt: Please choose the main monster and ingredient monster. If the transmutation succeeds, the main monster shall fuse with the ingredient monster and have its powers increased. If the transmutation fails, the main monster shall remain unchanged, but the ingredient monster will disappear.

As he heard the system's voice, he did not hesitate to choose Heifeng as the main monster.

Next, a giant cauldron fell and covered both Heifeng and the Blackpatterned Panther within it, and began to quickly spin.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster Successful!

The cauldron had spun for a long time and finally stopped. When the cauldron disappeared, Heifeng with patterns on his fur was standing there with his head low.

"Heifeng!"

Both Jiang Feng and Yanhu looked at Heifeng, and both called him out happily at the same time.

But Jiang Feng had his own worries.

Heifeng was a dead body. If there exists a soul or that the memories were retained on the body, then fusing it with a living Blackpatterned Panther might allow him to have his memories restored.

But if Heifeng died and his memories were erased, then the monster that had been fused into was not Heifeng, it was just another Blackpatterned Panther.

Just when he watched Heifeng worriedly, Heifeng spoke.

"Hm? Didn't I die? How am I alive? Even my looks have changed somewhat."

As Heifeng had fused a Blackpatterned Panther, his originally black fur now had stripes pattern on it, and also some traits of a Blackpatterned Panther.

"Haha, Heifeng! It was all thanks to the boss reviving you! Start kneeling down and lick his boots maybe?!" When Yanhu heard his words, he pounced towards him excitedly.

When Heifeng heard Yanhu's words, he looked at Jiangfeng with gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, boss. From now on, my life is yours."

"What are you thanking me for? Now that you've been revived, we still have things to do. Follow me!" said Jiang Feng with joy in his voice.

At the same time, he also said in his mind, 'Looks like even if the intelligent monsters die in this game, they would still retain their memories.'

"Where to?" Asked Yan hu.

"To take revenge!"

As he said that, he took in Yanhu and Heifeng into the Qiankun Gourd, and ran towards the Imperial Dragon City.

Even if Heifeng had been revived, his grudge against Shen Ye still existed.

Shen Ye killed Nangong Tiaotiao, who was under his protection. And then he killed his follower Heifeng. How could he become the Shifter Emperor if he couldn't pay him back for what he did?!

As the future Shifter Emperor, it was impossible for him to not pay him back!

Because his current body was like a small snake, it wasn't very obvious when he slithered across the green grassland. No players that he crossed path with had discovered him.

Very quickly, he had reached the moat that protected the Imperial Dragon City. He looked for a tree nearby and slithered his way up, then coiled at a tree branch, waiting for Shen Ye to leave the city.

He heard what Shen Ye had said before this. The main reason that he went through the Blackpatterned Panther territory was because of a guild quest. Since he had brought so many players along, then that quest must be very important. And since the North Gate was the gate that was closest to where the Blackpatterned Panther territory was, he would definitely depart from here.

Not to mention that a Rank 1 Wyrmling was quite rare. He had met a wyrmling and knew where he was. How could he simply give up?

Once he caught a wyrmling and when the wyrmling had fully grown, it would definitely become a god-like pet. How many players in the game didn't want to have a god-like pet?

Combining the two points above, Jiang Feng could guarantee that Shen Ye would leave from the North Gate in a while.

And just as he had expected, Shen Ye left the North Gate with around eighty players in a while.

As he walked, he said nervously, "Quickly, we can't let that wyrmling escape. As long as we can catch that wyrmling, we Myth Guild will no doubt be the largest guild in the game. Anyone that helps me catch that wyrmling will be awarded 50,000 cash!"

Hearing Shen Ye's words, all the members from Myth Guild beamed with excitement.

'That's 50,000. If a baby Divine Beast wyrmling is worth 50,000, what's the worth of a full-grown Divine Beast?!' Jiang Feng thought to himself when he heard what Shen Ye had said.

"Now is the time!"

When Shen Ye brought his underlings crossing the bridge on the moat, Jiang Feng cried out in his mind. He did not rush out himself. Instead, he used his Tornado skill directly underneath Shen Ye's feet.

Whoosh.

The wind howled, and a tornado appeared out of nowhere and threw Shen Ye and around forty players close to him into the sky.

The Tornado's duration hadn't even expired yet, and all the players that were thrown into the sky had turned into white light and disappeared.

"Um... what happened? Why did a tornado suddenly appear on the bridge?"

"Must be a bug. If not, the tornado wouldn't appear without any reason, and even killed so many players!"

'Shen Ye is currently level 13. All I needed to do is to kill him four times and I can then send him back to the Starter Village. He gave me quite the amount of experience points and honor points.' Jiang Feng said in his mind as he looked at the people that were discussing what had happened.

He did not kill the other forty players on the bridge, because he wanted to know Shen Ye's location.

A few minutes later, Shen ye appeared on the bridge over the moat with an angry expression. He told his followers that were waiting on the bridge, "That wyrmling has to be somewhere nearby or in the water. Find it!"

"Tiger Roar!"

Just as he had finished his sentence, a beam of light exploded from the water and struck him, and instantly killed him again.

After killing Shen Ye, Jiang Feng quickly swam away and towards the other side of the bridge. He looked for a bunch of grass and hid in them.

Splash!

Just as he had hidden, a group of players began to jump into the water to look for him.

Whoosh!

A white light appeared in the Imperial Dragon City's respawn point. Shen Ye walked out of it with a pale face.

He had spent two nights leveling to Level 15, and now he was at Level 12. It almost caused him to burst in anger.

"Damn it! Even if dragons are intelligent, why does it have to pursue me?!" Shen Ye said as he gritted his teeth.

"Yo, isn't this Guildmaster Shen Ye? I saw you came in and out of the respawn point from the restaurant opposite. Why are you taking things so seriously?"

Just as Shen Ye was getting extremely angry, Ling Yun brought his followers out from a nearby restaurant and taunted Shen Ye with a smile.

"Scram!" Said Shen Ye coldly as he looked at Ling Yun.

Ling Yun frowned, but once he remembered that Shen Ye had dropped three levels, he got rid of his frown and smiled. "Don't get too upset. We have known each other for a long time now. Are you hunting down a Level 35 boss for the Guild-Building Order? Do you need my help?"

"No!"

Shen Ye snorted and quickly ran towards the North Gate and ignored Ling Yun.

Chen Mo, who was standing behind Ling Yun stared at Shen Ye's figure as he left, then asked softly, "Guildmaster, should we follow him?"

Ling Yun squinted his eyes and his lips curled up. He nodded, "Gather everyone and meet up at the North Gate!"

Chapter 57: One of the Ten Main Plots

The tornado at the moat of the Imperial Dragon City, and the speech that Shen Ye said the second time he was killed, had been spread throughout the city.

Including the players from Lingyun Pavillion, many players were assembling at the North Gate in order to capture the wyrmling.

Originally, Jiang Feng was going to kill Shen Ye until he was thrown back into the Starter Village. However, when he saw the thousands of players that gathered in the North Gate, all he could do was to give up on killing Shen Ye after he looked on with astonishment.

If it was a few dozens, he could still kill Shen Ye without exposing himself.

But with so many players here, just a Capture skill from each one of them could kill him easily.

"Shen Ye, I will let you this time. Cross me again, I will not spare you next time. It's so unfortunate that he didn't drop the Donghuang Bell fragment after killing him so many times!" He mumbled as he looked at all the players and headed towards the moat's riverbed.

The moat's riverbed led to the Dragon City Riverbed dungeon, but he didn't go there to farm for monsters. In fact, he went to find somewhere he could hide and then open the Honor Marketplace to take a look.

The Honor Marketplace had three categories. They were equipment, pills, and materials.

Every time you kill a player from an opposing faction, you can gain 10 honor points.

His honor points were at 6090, meaning that he had killed around 600 players.

The highest level equipment in the Honor Marketplace was Yellow-Gold. Their stats were just so so, and he wouldn't consider them great. One of them requires 20,000 honor points. However, because he didn't need any of them, he didn't look at them attentively. He looked at the pills page.

The pills here were mostly high-level health recovery items and stats boosting items. They were quite expensive, and since he had no use for them, he didn't buy any.

Finally, his sight fell on the page that sold materials.

Many types of materials were being sold, and the highest level had reached Spiritual level.

Black Gold Ore: High-level ore, Quality 5, Require 3,000 honor points.

Century Cold Iron: High-level ore, Quality 5, Require 3,000 honor points.

After giving it a thought, he exchanged for both ores.

After becoming a dragon, his Armor Piercing Claw was no longer usable. So he was preparing to forge other equipment that was suitable for a dragon.

After he closed the Honor Marketplace, he then used Polymorph to transform into human form. He then took out a Town Portal Scroll and teleported into the Imperial Dragon City.

Last time when he evolved, the cooldown of the Polymorph skill had been reset.

He guessed that it had something to do with him becoming a dragon, If not, his Polymorph duration wouldn't have extended so much.

Once the human form Jiang Feng appeared in the Imperial Dragon City, he smiled as he looked at the empty streets.

He didn't need to ask to know where all the players went. They must have jumped into the moat to look for him.

Polymorph had a time limit, so he didn't dare to waste time. He ran to the Herbal Shop and bought a stack of twenty Large Recovery Pills, Then he headed to the smithy.

He was ready to forge himself a weapon and forge another Armor Piercing Claw during the time that Polymorph was in effect. He would give each Armor Piercing Claw to Yanhu and Heifeng.

He opened the smithy's door, and a heat-wave washed over him.

Just as he was prepared to rent a smithy room, he realized that the smithy's boss was arguing with an academic student holding a rock.

Driven by curiosity, he checked the academic student stats.

Ning Caichen: Level 20 NPC

Introduction: An academic student that was on his way for the imperial exam in the Imperial Dragon City. Met with the female ghost Xiaoqian when he was on his way and fell in love with her. Xiaoqian was however trapped by Grandmother. Yan Chixia gave him a Red Sun Ore to forge a Red Sun Sword, and only then would he save Xiaoqian.

HP: 50,000

Attack: 100-200

Defense: 50

Skills: Study

'Um... This is a quest for A Chinese Ghost Story!"

Jiang Feng was no newbie. Seeing something like this, he knew that this should be a plot quest.

This game was created according to the myths, legends, and historical background of the nation of Huaxia. It was within reason for the plot of A Chinese Ghost Story to appear.

"Boss, I beg you. Can you please help me forge this weapon? I still need to save someone." Ning Caichen begging the boss of the smithy.

"I told you, I won't help anyone forge anything without being paid. It's useless even if you beg." The boss of the smithy rejected him with a frown.

"What should I do? What should I do? If I cannot forge the Red Sun Sword, then I can't save Xiaoqian." Ning Caichen mumbled nervously.

Next, he was no longer in a conversation with the boss.

"Boss, have you finished forging the equipment I asked you to forge?"

At this time, a woman came in and directly asked the boss.

Canaan!

Jiang Feng looked at the woman that had just come in and was shocked. He quickly used his hair to cover half of his face, leaving only a small part of it uncovered. He didn't want Canaan to discover what he looked like.

"Boss, I beg you..."

After Canaan came in, the conversation between Ning Caichen, and the boss of the smithy was replayed.

From this, he could confirm that this was indeed a plot quest.

But what made him curious was that at the stage players would buy ores and come here to ask the boss of the smithy to forge equipment for them. Why wasn't this plot quest being accepted by others yet?

"Hm?" Canaan walked in, then looked at Jiang Feng. Then she exclaimed joyously, "You are Jiang Feng?"

"Guildmaster Canaan, how are you?!" Jiang Feng knew that she had to Identify his stats, so he could only greet her with a wry smile.

Canaan in the game was extremely beautiful. Even more beautiful than she was in reality, so it was obvious that she had made herself prettier.

"Thank you for selling me that great equipment." Canaan was also a smart woman. She didn't mention Jiang Feng refusing to join her guild since it would make things very awkward. Instead, she steered the conversation towards equipment.

"That's nothing. I've also earned some money from you," replied Jiang Feng with a smile.

"Oh, that's right, why are you here?" Canaan then squinted at the boss of the smith and Ning Caichen, and asked him curiously, "Don't tell me you wanted to accept this quest too?"

Jiang Feng nodded, "Yeah, something wrong?"

Canaan smiled and said, "This plot quest is one of this game's main plot lines. No one can accept it at this stage. From their conversation, you either have to help him pay the money to forge the Red Sun Sword or to help him find a Red Sun Sword and only then could you accept this quest."

"While the second option can be a bit difficult, but the first one is quite simple," Jiang Feng looked at Canaan, puzzled.

"Why don't you ask the boss how much you need," Said Canaan to Jiang Feng with a smile.

He gave Canaan a look, then walked towards the smithy's boss, and then asked, "Boss, I'll pay for his weapon. How much do you need?"

The smithy's boss looked at Jiang Feng, and there was a pure surprise in his eyes, "Spiritual-level Smithing Master! I never thought that your smithing skills could increase by so much when I only missed you for one day!"

Spiritual-level Smithing!

Hearing the words of the smithy's boss, Canaan was stunned. She then remembered yesterday's server announcement, then looked at Jiang Feng with a surprised look. 'No wonder he could forge a White-Silver equipment, I never expected that his Smithing level would be so high! Looked like he must have quite good fortune. I have to find a way to tie him to Canaan Guild!'

The game had just started for one week and Jiang Feng had already leveled up his smithing skills to Spiritual Level. Even in mid-game, it was estimated that no crafters would be able to level their smithing skills to Spiritual level.

"You overpraised me, just tell me how much I need to pay to help him forge the Red Sun Sword," Jiang Feng answered plainly.

"If it were others, I would need at least 100,000gp. But if you are willing to teach me some of your experience in smithing, I'll give you a 50% discount!" said the smithy boss respectfully.

Seeing how the boss was being respectful to him, and giving him a 50% discount without doing him, Canaan could only jealously complain in her mind, 'Both of us are players, but why is there such a great difference? The comparison is just too great!'

If Jiang Feng could read her mind, he would no doubt roll his eyes at her: 'Yeah, that's right. Great difference. At least all of you were human beings when you joined the game. I was a bloody dog!'

Chapter 58: Dragon Ball

'100,000gp? Give me a 50% discount?'

The boss's price shocked Jiang Feng to the core.

At this juncture, most of the players' gp had been sold to those that wanted to build up their guilds.

They didn't have enough gp themselves. Even if some rich guy were to collect the gp, it would be impossible to gather 100,000gp within two or three days.

Not to mention that currently, 1 gp in the black market was equal to 100 RMB. So, 100,000gp was 1 million yuan. Who would spend so much money just for a quest? Unless you were being stupid or you were so rich you have nowhere to spend your money.

That being said, the boss did give him a lot of face by directly reducing the price by 50,000gp. This made him feel like he had face in front of Canaan.

"Boss, then do you know the Red Sun Sword was sold?" Jiang Feng then asked about another condition to take the quest.

"The Red Sun Sword primary material Red Sun Ore is a Spiritual-level Ore, and it is very rare. Not to mention that it needed a lot of other supporting materials. The entire sum would be around 20,000gp. So yes, there are places that do sell the sword. If you want to buy it, I can give you the address," said the smithy's boss.

'Um... 20,000gp. If I have that much money I could have just commissioned the sword from you.'

Jiang Feng thought to himself speechlessly, '20,000gp for a piece of equipment, and I don't even know what level that is. It's possible that it's just there to increase the quest's difficulty.'

"Looks like I can't accept this quest," he said to Canaan and shrugged as he couldn't meet either condition

Canaan blinked her eyes and gave it a thought, then scanned Jiang Feng.

Seeing that Canaan kept looking at him, Jiang Feng thought that she wanted to see his face, so he turned away and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"There is one more condition that you can fulfill if you want to take this quest," Canaan gave him a smile.

"What condition?" Jiang Feng turned and asked Canaan.

"Ning Caichen asked the boss of the smithy to forge the Red Sun Sword proved that he had enough materials in his hand. If a player has a high enough Smithing skill, and forges the Red Sun Sword, then he can still accept this quest." Canaan stroked her chin as if she were a sage.

"Why didn't I think of that!"

Hearing Canaan's words, he then walked towards Ning Caichen joyfully.

"Bro, I am quite proficient in the art of smithing. I can forge it for you for free, I wonder if you would be willing?" Jiang Feng proposed as he stood by Ning Caichen's side.

"You know Smithing? And you will help me forge for free?" Ning Caichen asked in surprise.

"Yes," Jiang Feng nodded.

"That's great! These are the materials for the Red Sun Sword, thank you."

Ding! System Prompt: Ning Caichen gave you some ores and the design for Red Sun Sword.

He opened his Spatial Bracelet, and indeed it was filled with ores, and all of them weren't of low level.

Especially those two Red Sun Ore. Both had reached Spiritual level. The others were high level, high quality ores as well. And they even include the Black Gold Ore and Century Cold Iron that he had bought.

But these ores were all stated to be quest items, so he could not use it for himself.

Other than the ores, there was also the design for the Red Sun Sword in his Spatial Bracelet.

"Boss, I would like to rent a smithing room."

Now that he had the ores, he would like to rent for an Advanced smithing room from the smithy.

"Thank you, Guildmaster Canaan. I will help you forge one piece of equipment for free in the future. Of course, you prepare the materials."

After he had rented the room, he walked over towards Canaan and thanked her.

If it wasn't because of her reminder, he probably wouldn't have guessed in the short term that he was the condition to accept the quest. He had to admit that Canaan could think very quickly on her feet. No wonder she was so smart.

"You said it, don't go back your word." Hearing Jiang Feng's words, Canaan was overjoyed.

Spiritual Level master smiths had a chance of forging a Spiritual Artifact. Even if he had a high failure rate, the rate of him forging a Yellow-Gold equipment was still quite high. This time, she had been showered with great fortune.

Jiang Feng nodded and said goodbye to Canaan, then walked towards the smithy room.

Once he entered the smithy room, he took out the design of the Red Sun Sword and prepared to make the mold.

With the design of the Red Sun Sword, creating the mold was a very easy task, All he needed to do was to stick the design on an unused mold, and it would be given form.

Once the mold for the Red Sun Sword had completed, he then took another untouched mold and thought with his head down.

"What kind of equipment should I make?"

Jiang Feng wanted to create his own equipment before forging the Red Sun Sword, but he still hadn't decided on what kind of equipment he wanted.

"That's right, Capture had some control and limit over me. If my speed is limited, the players could gang up on me. If I have a long-range weapon that would be great!" After giving it a thought, he became inspired, "That's it!"

With that, he began to look for images from the mold's menu. In a moment, he found a picture of the dragon ball from Dragonball.

Under the scorching heat of the fire, a mold for the dragon ball appeared before him very quickly.

Once the mold was ready, the next step was to forge.

He added Black Gold Ore, Century Cold Iron, and eight other types of ores he owned into it, sprinkled the Molten Iron Powder, and when all the ores became liquid, he added them into the mold and struck it with the smithing hammer.

After striking for a while, he then threw the already formed Dragon Ball into the smelter to smelt it, then poured it back to the mold, and continued hitting.

"Since I was given two sets of the materials needed for the Red Sun Sword, while I could not use it for my own private use, but if I pour some of it into the dragon ball mold during the smithing process, that should be fine, right?"

He became excited when he was striking the dragon ball and thought of all of those high-level materials.

He put aside the dragon ball that he was striking, then took out one set of the Red Sun Sword's materials into the smelter. Once it had melted into liquid, he poured some of it on the Dragon Ball.

Next, he poured the rest into the Red Sun Sword's mold. He hit it once, then put it aside as he struck at the dragon ball.

"Just as I thought!"

What made him happy was that the liquid that was poured over the dragon ball melted into the dragon ball, causing it to be one size larger, and it couldn't fit perfectly to the mold.

In order to let the dragon ball fit the mold, he began repeatedly striking it. Removing all the purities from the liquid.

The King of Gnomes had said that striking a thousand times and a hundred, and a normal iron could be struck into an Essence of Iron that could be used to craft divine artifacts. In order to give him a better weapon, he struck it again and again.

Once he had finished the final strike, the dragon ball became much smaller. For this, he had bought another batch of ore from the Trading Hal, smelted them into liquid, and poured them in. He had also poured some of the Red Sun Sword's material's liquid form into it, then continued the striking.

After half an hour, and after striking it around two hundred times and his arms were getting sore, only this time that the dragon ball had perfectly fit the mold, its surface became smooth and reflective, and it even generated a bright golden color.

"Smithing!" With that, he nodded in content and used his Smithing skill.

Ding! System Prompt: Smithing successful. Congratulations on creating the "unnamed" equipment. As you are the first player to have forged a Yellow-Gold equipment, you have gained 500 reputation points and 20gp. This would also be announced to the whole server. Do you wish to hide your name?

"No!"

He did not care about the server announcement, and he took out the dragon ball that was the size of a goose egg.

Unnamed: Yellow Gold Equipment

Range: 10 meters

Attack 200

20% chance of critical hit

20% chance of dazing an enemy for 1 second

Chapter 59: A Chinese Ghost Story Quest

"Dragon Ball!"

Ding! System Prompt: Naming successful!

The Dragon Ball's surface was as smooth as a mirror, and it had a giant word "Dragon" written on it.

The only reason it had Dragon printed on it was that the image that he searched had some modification to it.

Ding! Server Announcement: Congratulations to player Jiang Feng forging 'Unnamed' Yellow-Gold equipment. As he is the first player to have forged a Yellow-Gold equipment, he has been awarded 500 reputation points and 20gp. Hope that all the Crafters would make more effort!

After Canaan had left the smithy's and took the equipment that he had asked the boss to forge for her, he then went to the Cave of the Undead dungeon together with her guilds' higher-ups.

After farming for half an hour, she received the server announcement. She was slightly stunned, and then she smiled.

"Looks like he had succeeded. One of the game's ten main plots. I wonder what the final rewards are?"

Mu Xi heard Canaan's mumble, and she raised her eyebrow. "Don't tell me you're talking about the Chinese Ghost Story quest. Someone accepted it?"

Canaan nodded, "Not yet, but should be soon."

"Sis Li, Sis Mu Xi, please stop chatting, I can't hold them off for too long." Han Qianqian was kiting around five monsters. Seeing that Mu Xi and Canaan had stopped attacking and started chatting, she shouted at them with a wry smile.

"We're coming," Mu Xi waved her sword and rushed towards the monster.

Shen Ye was in an extremely bad mood while leveling in the Dragon City Riverbed dungeon when the Server Announcement came.

When he heard the content of the server announcement, he turned and said to Bai Xia, who was next to him and said, "It's this Jiang Feng again. Why have we never met him in the Imperial Dragon City before? Maybe he went to another city or even the Silvermoon? Bai Xia, investigate him. Then pull him into our guild, no matter the cost."

Bai Xia nodded and said, "I'll work on it right away."

For a time, many guilds and factions began searching for Jiang Feng. Even the army that the government had sent in was looking for him.

A player that could forge a Yellow-Gold Equipment at this stage of the game was like a mobile arsenal to them.

As long as they could draw Jiang Feng into their fold, that would be equal to having unlimited high-level equipment.

That was a reason enough for them to recruit Jiang Feng at a high price.

Jiang Feng no longer cared about the server announcement.

He had been on the server announcements so many times that he had grown numb to it.

So what if he was on the server announcement? He couldn't appear to get some fans since his polymorph duration wasn't that long. And when he came in, the system didn't allow him to adjust his face, so of course, he couldn't show himself.

That was why he couldn't care less about the server announcements.

"The stats aren't that high, but the skills are not bad. Most importantly, it's easy to use. Just directly throw it at someone. Unfortunately, the level restriction is a bit too high. I can only use it when I'm Level 20. Looks like I have to increase my level quickly."

Jiang Feng was feeling slightly helpless as he played with the Dragon Ball in his hand and then stored it. He then began to help Ning Caichen forge the Red Sun Sword.

His polymorph skill only had a duration of less than one hour left, and he needed to forge a Red Sun Sword within this time.

In order to forge the Red Sun Sword, he had thrown in half of all the ore into the smelter.

The reason he used half was that the other half was already spent on forging the Dragon Ball.

If not, the Dragon Ball wouldn't reach the level of a Yellow-Gold equipment. At most, it would be a White-Silver equipment.

Because of the teaching of the King of Gnomes, his smithing success rate was very high.

Hitting a thousand and a hundred could increase the success rate of forging equipment. Adding his current luck of 40, that increases the success rate by a few points.

That was why he had the ability to successfully forge an item at one go and had the confidence to successfully forge the Red Sun Sword at one go.

The reason that players that learn smithing had a high failure rate was because they did not have the patience to repeatedly strike on an equipment, and their Luck was not high too.

To a player, Luck, Charisma, and Insight were hidden stats. You were forever stuck with that number the moment you entered the game. You could not increase them.

But he was different. He had none of the five basic stats, but the free attribute points that he gained from leveling up can be spent on the hidden stats.

Of course, his three hidden stats wouldn't automatically increase after every level up, or else that would be too overpowering. As for players, the five basic stats would increase substantially, allowing end game players to be very efficient in killing monsters.

Once the ores had liquified, he then poured it into the mold so that he could strike them.

In order to maintain the Red Sun Sword's success rate, the rate that he struck at the sword was no lower than the rate he struck the Dragon Ball.

He had spent almost 50 minutes and had struck it almost four hundred times.

"Smithing!"

Ding! System Prompt: Smithing successful. Congratulations on creating the Dark-Gold equipment "Red Sun Sword.". As you are the first player to have forged a Dark-Gold equipment, you have gained 500 reputation points and 50gp. As this is a quest item, it cannot be made into a server announcement.

"That's fine, I don't care about the server announcement, as long as the rewards are there."

He shook his shoulders as if he didn't care about it.

Red Sun Sword: Dark-Gold Equipment

Note: As this is a quest item, unable to see its stats.

He took out the Red Sun Sword and checked it, but what made him speechless was that because it was a quest item, he couldn't check the Red Sun Sword's attributes.

"What's wrong with it! This is an equipment that I forged, I can't even check its attributes?"

Jiang Feng complained and packed the Red Sun Sword away and ran out of the smithing room.

The duration of his polymorph only had seven or eight minutes left, so he needed to accept this plot quest in the shortest time possible, if not, once he became the form of a dragon, he would be calling the city guards to him.

Once he was back at the smithy, he gave the Red Sun Sword to Ning Caichen.

"You really did forge it! This is great! Thank you, brother." When Ning Caichen received the Red Sun Sword, he took a look at it, then excitedly packed it up. "Bro, thank you. Please look for me one week later at Ruolan Temple in Luzhou City. I will then reward you for forging the sword."

Ding! System Prompt: You have activated A Chinese Ghost Story quest. Please go to Ruolan Temple in Luzhou City after one week to seek out Ning Caichen!

After he had finished speaking, he disappeared in a blink of an eye.

Now that he had accepted the quest, Jiang Feng had no more need to stay in the Imperial Dragon City. He quickly ran out of the city.

This was because he only had two to three minutes left of his Polymorph.

He ran, and he managed to run out of the Imperial Dragon City in the final ten seconds.

But there were so many players outside of the Imperial Dragon City, and he became anxious. If he became a wyrmling, his identity would be exposed and he would be ganked by all the players.

"That's right, jump into the river!"

When he saw the moat, his eyes beamed and ran towards the city's moat.

"I say, Zhao Zi, are you still a man? It's just water in a game, you won't die by jumping in. Since you don't know how to swim in reality, you can practice swimming here in the game. Maybe it transfers to the real world and you can swim there."

"Scram! I won't go down there! Last time when I accidentally fell into the school's pond and almost drowned, I swore I'll never..."

When Jiang Feng was running towards the moat, he saw two players were talking about something. It was almost time for his Polymorph to expire, and he couldn't care about anything else. He jumped and dove into the water.

When he ran past the two players, he accidentally nudged the player that didn't dare to jump into the water and rammed him into the moat too.

"Oh shit! Who the heck pushed me in... Help, I can't swim... Somebody save me... I'm going to die, I'm going to die..."

"Bwahaha..."

That player caused the surrounding players to laugh.

Meanwhile, the other player that was together with him could only look at the sky speechlessly. 'Why do I have such an idiotic party member...'

Chapter 60: Barbaric Giants Event

After he had jumped into the moat, his Polymorph expired and he once again returned into the form of a wyrmling.

Luckily, the player that he accidentally caught along with him wasn't paying attention to him, if not he would be exposed too.

Once he had become a wyrmling, he could no longer stay close by to the Imperial Dragon City. He quickly swam to some place deserted, went ashore, picked a direction, and ran.

"As one of the ten main story quests, A Chinese Ghost Story's difficulty wouldn't be too easy. I better find a place where I could level in peace, find some evolution pills and bloodlines so I could help Heifeng and Yanhu increase their power," He mumbled as he ran while he opened the map, hoping to find a monster territory that offered high experience.

Ding! System Prompt: The Barbaric Giants event that takes place on every Saturday at 8 am has been refreshed. 100 Barbaric Giants from Level 1 to Level 100 will be spawned near every city. The Barbaric Giants have various pet eggs, high experience points, and pet skills. Link to the official website had been created in-game. Please see the details on our official website.

Barbaric Giants Event?

Jiang Feng was slightly stunned when he heard the system announcement, then he quickly opened his status window. Indeed, on the bottom right-hand corner was a button that linked to the official website.

Once he had entered the official website, an image popped out, and it was indeed the details for the Barbaric Giants event.

He read about the event out of curiosity.

After reading it to the finish, he then understood why such an event existed.

When players had reached Level 15, they would learn the Capture skill. But the rate of success of the Capture skill was too low, around 5% only.

When normal monsters become pets, their ranks were 4 and below. Their combat ability wasn't that high. If they wanted to capture the boss, the success rate would be even lower.

And that was why this event was organized.

The Barbaric Giants were from Level 1 to Level 100, and they only had a hundred near each city. Each of them could be considered as a big boss and would be very difficult to deal with. Of course, the higher the level of Barbaric Giants defeated, the higher the drop rate.

The purpose of the event was first, to make up for the pets capture late. Secondly, it was to improve the players' level of cooperation. Thirdly, to give players a faster way to increase their level.

All the MMORPGs that he used to play had similar events, and they were to help players increase their power and to add something interesting to the game.

"100 Barbaric Giants, huh? At this step, each city could only kill around thirty to forty. And this will require many players to coordinate, Otherwise, a party can't even handle a Level 20 Barbaric Giant."

Jiang Feng closed the official website and then recalled the introduction to this event from the website.

"Since there's such an event, I will of course join it. Hopefully, I can find a slightly lower level Barbaric Giant, so that I could use Transmute Monster to transmute some pets and pets skills."

He guessed that he shouldn't be able to use the pet eggs since he himself was considered a monster. He couldn't own a pet.

He could exchange it for a lot of money if he got one.

As for him, experience points were what he needed the most. Especially now, when there were thousands of players already reaching Level 16. His position as the top was in jeopardy, so of course, he had to fight for it.

After he had made a decision, his body quickly slithered away, looking for Barbaric Giants in the monster territories around him.

Not only him, but many players had given up grinding levels in dungeons. Even those that have quests had given up, and all of them formed parties to hunt for the location of Barbaric Giant.

"Hm?"

After looking for around a dozen minutes, Jiang Feng found a Barbaric Giant in Xiling Valley.

Xiling Valley was an area for monsters between levels 30 to 50, meaning that players at the current stage won't approach this place at all. That meant that no one would discover this Barbaric Giant.

The Barbaric Giant was about 10 Zhang in height (or around 33 meters.) It looked like Shrek, but the skin was white and bright. It carried a giant mace on its shoulder.

Barbaric Giant: Level 32 Event Monster

HP: 350,000

Attack: 3000-3200

Defense 1500

Skills: None

"Level 32 Barbaric Giant. I didn't expect it to have such high attributes. Luckily it doesn't have any skills, otherwise, there is no point in fighting!" Jiang Feng exclaimed in shock as he looked at the Barbaric Giant's stats.

"If its movement speed isn't high, then I can still try. But if its movement speed is very high, then there is no point to fight the battle. Let's see."

He finally found a Barbaric Giant, of course, he didn't want to give up just like that, so he was prepared to give it a try

His current attack was around 2,000, so he could break through its defenses. With his HP at 30,000, he could still kill the Barbaric Giant given enough time and as long as he didn't get hit.

"Transmute Monster, Transmute!"

Trying his luck, he used Transmute Monster on the Barbaric Giant. If he succeeded, then he wouldn't need to fight. Of course, there wasn't much hope in the first place.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster Failed!

Just as he expected, the Barbaric Giant's level was much higher than his, causing Transmute Monster's success rate to be very low. If he could transmute monster that easily, then the skill would be too overpowered.

Roar!

After his failure, his movement had caught the attention of the Barbaric Giant. He saw it let out a roar, then waved his giant mace towards him.

His two claws quickly waved on the ground, and he quickly left from his position.

Bang!

The mace hit the ground causing a large bang and the entire earth trembled as if an earthquake had just happened.

Jiang Feng ran swiftly and reached the Barbaric Giant big foot, then he climbed his body from his leg.

The bigger the enemy was, the more limited the area that their limbs could reach. As long as he could reach behind the neck of the Barbaric Giant, it would need to spend a lot of stamina just to attack it.

"It's so smooth. Luckily, I have dragon claws, or I wouldn't be able to climb its body at all!"

The dragon claws stabbed into the Barbaric Giant's skin. Each time he climbed up, he would leave some bloody holes on it.

Roar!

The pain came from his feet, and it caused the giant to roar in pain, its giant feet swaying everywhere.

Unfortunately, Jiang Feng's dragon claws were very sharp, and he applied a lot of strength and clawed them into its skin. So no matter how it swayed, it couldn't get rid of Jiang Feng.

Suddenly, the Barbaric Giant's hand was going to slap him.

"High-speed Movement!"

He quickly used High-speed Movement and climbed up the Barbaric Giant's body.

Smack!

Boom!

The Barbaric Giant blew its own leg. But perhaps he used too much force, he even staggered himself. The body lost balance, and he fell vehemently to the ground.

"A great chance!"

The Barbaric Giant slammed onto the ground, and he was dazed for a second. After a second, when he saw the Barbaric Giant bent over and was going to stand up, he used this chance to reach the back of the Barbaric Giant's head while scratching all over.

Once he had reached the back of the Barbaric Giant's head, one of his claws stabbed into the Barbaric Giant's skin behind his brain while the other dragon claw kept scratching, causing blood to keep flowing down from the back of its head.

Roar!

The intense pain caused the Barbaric Giant to let out a roar. Both of its hands extended to the back of its head towards Jiang Feng.

Chapter 61: Pet Egg

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

The Barbaric Giant was too huge, causing it to be less agile with its limbs.

Jiang Feng's body was smaller, and his physique was slimmer, and when he saw the Barbaric Giant grabbing towards him, he then caught unto the strands of the Barbaric Giant's hair and glided gracefully as he avoided its attack. Then, he continued to attack it.

-463.

-500.

-1023.

...

After including the Barbaric Giant's defense, he could only cause four to five hundred points of damage. He would sometimes cause critical damage as well.

Roar!

Under Jiang Feng's attack, the Barbaric Giant became even more furious. Its pair of giant hands would grab at the back of his head, hoping to grab Jiang Feng out.

Unfortunately, it was too huge, and Jiang Feng was too small. He was like a flea on his head and it would be difficult to catch him.

"It won't do if I continue this way. Let's go into the ear!" Jiang Feng mumbled as he grabbed another one of the barbaric giant's hair and saw the Barbaric Giant's pointed ear. The moment inspired him and he chose to enter the giant's ear using its hair.

As there was a lot of hair within the Barbaric Giant's ear, he took out a torch and continued to set fire on them as he walked deeper.

It wasn't long when he reached the Barbaric Giant's eardrum. He put down the torch and then used his dragon claws to assault it.

Roar!

The Barbaric Giant kept beating himself at the ear as an intense pain came from it. It even used its finger to try to get Jiang Feng out.

Unfortunately, its finger couldn't reach deep enough. The pain caused it to go berserk, and it kept swinging its mace within the valley. It had even struck some monsters nearby.

For a time, trees within the valley were uprooted, walls of the valley were smashed, and monsters fled everywhere.

Jiang Feng could attack twice per second, and every second would cause 500 points of damage. Two attacks would make 1,000. In one minute, he could cause 60,000 points of damage. Six minutes meant that he had caused a total of 360,000 points of damage.

Within six minutes, the frenzied Barbaric Giant had finally stopped. Its massive body fell unto the ground.

Ding! System prompt: Congratulations on slaying a Level 32 Barbaric Giant. You have received 100,000 experience points.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on reaching Level 16. You have received 3 free attribute points.

"Haha, it's great to be this small. If I'm still a tiger king, it would have killed me a long time ago," Jiang Feng said eagerly after he had slain the Barbaric Giant. "I didn't expect that killing a Barbaric Giant would give me that much experience points, to award me the equivalent of 50% of my experience bar and some more and allowing me to level up to Level 16."

He quickly stood on the gigantic body of the Barbaric Giant and scanned around after he had left its ear.

Looking at the empty surrounding, it disappointed him.

"Looks like I get nothing if I kill an event monster."

Jiang Feng shrugged and used Transmute Monster as there wasn't much he could do.

Whoosh.

After leaving the barbaric giant's body, he used Transmute Monster. A second later, a blazing fire enveloped the carcass of the Barbaric Giant and the transmutation process began.

Perhaps it was because of the size of the Barbaric Giant, it took slightly longer to transmute it.

After three or four minutes, the transmutation had ended.

Ding! System Prompt. Transmute Monster successful. You have received one Pet Egg and one Level 32 Experience Pill.

"A pet egg!"

Jiang Feng was pleased, and he then took the pet egg from the flames and checked on it

Thunderclap Mantis Pet Egg: Rank 8. Mark with a drop of blood to hatch!

'I need a drop of blood to use this? I wonder if I can hatch it?' With a thought, Jiang Feng quickly pierced his finger with a bite and dripped a drop of blood on it.

Crack!

As his blood dripped on it, the Thunderclap Mantis Pet Egg absorbed the blood. And the moment it had finished absorbing the blood, the eggshell cracked.

Ding! System Prompt: Due to your special identity, you are not able to possess any pet egg. However, you are able to enter into a master-servant contract. Will you enter into a contract?

At this time, a voice from the system rang in his ears and he thought to himself in confusion.

'What is a master-servant contract?'

Zoom.

It was as if the system knew about his question, and a message appeared.

Master-Servant Contract: After entering into a master-servant contract, the master may decide on the fate of the servant. If the servant dies, the servant may not be revived.

Once he saw that message, he understood it completely.

The Master-Servant Contract was similar to being a pet, except a pet could be revived after death. However, a servant's death would be permanent.

"Enter!"

Even if he could not revive the servant after its death, he had still decided to have the Thunderclap Mantis join him.

A Thunderclap Mantis was a Rank 8 monster after all. Under his grooming, it could become even stronger.

And this at a time when he needed more followers, so it was only natural for him to choose to have it remain.

Crack!

After the contract had been entered, the pet egg broke completely. Lightning blasted out from within, and a blue praying mantis the height of half a man walked out. It flew toward Jiang Feng with its buzzing wings respectfully.

Jiang Feng looked at the blue mantis in front of him and looked at its stats.

Thunderclap Mantis: Level 1 Rank 8

HP: 5000

Attack: 20-50

Defense: 10

Potential: 65

Skills: None

"It looks like the rank is fixed after it hatches from the pet egg, but they do not have a level. Unlike Yanhu, Heifeng, or I, we still needed to increase our ranks!" Jiang Feng mumbled to himself as he looked at the Thunderclap Mantis's stats.

"I wonder if it can use the experience pills?" He thought to himself as he looked at the Thunderclap Mantis and then looked at the Level 32 Experience Pill.

Level 32 Experience Pill: Gain 32,000 experience points after use.

Looking at the experience pill in his hand, he then extended it towards the Thunderclap Mantis and said, "Eat it."

The Thunderclap Mantis was not a King monster, so it didn't have high intelligence and couldn't speak. However, it understood what Jiang Feng wanted to say. It opened its sharp mouth and swallowed the Experience Pill.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

After the Thunderclap Mantis consumed the Experience Pill, its body kept on glowing and its size kept on growing. In a moment, his height had reached 1.5 meters tall.

Looking at the Thunderclap Mantis's change, he smiled and looked at its stats.

Thunderclap Mantis: Level 5 Rank 8

HP: 10,000

Attack: 270-300

Defense: 60

Potential: 65

Skills: Thunder Slash (Cause 150% of base damage to target enemy, cooldown of 5 seconds)

"Not bad," he said as he looked at the Thunderclap Mantis's stats. He was still pleased with the result.

He studied it from top to bottom and then had it enter the Qiankun Gourd.

After he had settled the Thunderclap Mantis, a smirk appeared on his face.

'The players at the other locations should have started their battle against the Barbaric Giants. Since I don't get anything by killing the Barbaric Giants, why don't I take advantage of the corpses of the giants killed by the players instead? If I'm lucky, I can even use my usual schemes!'1

With that thought, he left Xiling Valley and headed toward the monster spawn areas close by the Imperial Dragon City.

He only had one target, that was the corpse of the slain Barbaric Giants.

As long as he could find the corpses, he could use Transmute Monster to have a chance to receive pet eggs and pet skill books.

Not to mention that if he had encountered a barbaric giant that had little health left, he could then let the players kill it. And then he would kill the players. He could then pick up the loot left behind by the barbaric giants.

It had long been said that purity of emotions couldn't keep the heart of man, but only schemes could!

"Players, tremble before me!"

Chapter 62: Seizing the Opportunity

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

The Imperial Dragon City had four great gates, each directed towards the East, the South, the West, and the North.

And a large playable map was connected to each of these four directions.

Greenwind Ridge to the East. Twilight Forest to the South. Xiling Valley to the East. Crouching Dragon Range to the North.

And these four playable maps were all categorized as monster spawn points close by to the Imperial Dragon City.

That meant that the hundred Barbaric Giants would be spawned in the monster spawn points within these four maps.

After he had left Xiling Valley, he tried searching for Barbaric Giants nearby the valley.

He found seven or eight within a brief time, but he didn't go over to kill them. No players were there to kill them too.

That was because these giants were all at above Level 50. Their defenses were extremely high, and he estimated that they couldn't even damage it. That was why no one had attacked them.

"Hm?"

After searching around the monsters' territories around Xiling Valley, he managed to find a Barbaric Giant's corpse, and he was quite pleased.

The corpse had yet to disappear, which meant that it had only been killed in less than ten minutes.

"Transmute Monster!"

Since there was already a corpse laying right in front of him, he would not let this chance pass him by. He immediately used Transmute Monster on it.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster Successful. Congratulations. You have received one pet egg.

"It's great to be able to take advantage of situations like this. I guess I'm the only one in the server to get a pet egg without spending effort," Jiang Feng mumbled cheerfully after obtaining yet another pet egg. He then checked on the pet egg's status.

Crimson Flame Rabbit: Rank 5 Pet Egg

"Hm? Only rank 5? I guess I should just sell it."

The ranks of pets from the pet eggs were all fixed, which meant that their growth had been limited to Rank 5. It could only grow after being fed with very powerful bloodlines. It was a waste of resources to raise a pet like that, so he didn't choose to use the Pet Egg of the Crimson Flame Rabbit.

Because of his high standards, only pets with Rank 8 and above would enter his consideration.

He put away the pet egg and looked at the endless monster territories close to the Xiling Valley. His eyes squinted as he thought to himself, 'It's a waste of time to search for them with no information. It's possible that some corpses disappeared when I was looking for them. Looks like I need to ask for some help from the guilds.'

With that, he opened his Friends panel and looked for Canaan. He then sent a message over, "Help me find the locations of the players that are fighting the Barbaric Giants or have slain a Barbaric Giant. Once done, I'll sell you a pet egg!"

While there was a limit to how far one person could search, using the power of a guild with hundreds and thousands of members would be an effortless task.

Canaan: "Crouching Dragon Range. 3412.3456. One Barbaric Giant had just been killed there. You said you have a pet egg in your possession? There's already around twenty Barbaric Giants killed and only two pet eggs and a pet skill book have been dropped. The drop rate is extremely low. How did you get a pet egg?"

Jiang Feng: "Continue to find them for me. After you have done them for me, I'll make sure to give you something good!"

After reading the message that Canaan had sent over, Jiang Feng didn't answer her question. He replied to her and then made his way to the coordinates she had just given.

He had understood that he should not speak too much when communicating with Canaan. He would not especially answer any of her questions. It would be too easy for him to expose himself.

He was at the North-Western end of the Xiling Valley, which was not too far from the coordinates given to him. He had arrived at the coordinates given to him by Canaan in five minutes.

Indeed!

There was a Barbaric Giant's corpse that was lying at the coordinates, but the corpse only had a minute or two left.

"Transmute Monster!"

He did not hesitate and directly used Transmute Monster.

Ding! System Prompt: Monster Transmutation Successful. Congratulations. You have received one pet egg.

Two-Headed Python: Rank 6 Pet Egg.

"Another low ranking pet egg."

Jiang Feng shook his head disappointingly and had it put away.

Beep beep!

It was another message from Canaan. "There's a Level 24 Barbaric Giant to the East of Greenwind Ridge. It's being attacked by the Tianxia Gang!"

Jiang Feng: "Continue with the search. The more the better!"

After replying, he then ran to the East of the Greenwind Ridge.

While there was a distance from the North to the East, he had made his way to the Greenwind Ridge after about ten minutes.

"Team One, retreat! Team Three, attack!"

As soon as he had reached the Greenwind Ridge, he could see the gigantic body of a Barbaric Giant. Close to it, a group of two hundred players had it completely surrounded. They continuously attacked the Barbaric Giant, and a male priest called "Feng Chu" was commanding them from afar.

Under Feng Chu's leadership, the two hundred players crossed between each other as Team One retreated after their attacks and the Blood Fighters tanked the giant's attack, and they would attack again once the team had completed switching formations.

The entire group cooperated very well with each other, and it didn't take them very long before reducing the Barbaric Giant's HP to less than one-third.

"The Tianxia Gang works very well as a team, looks like scheming against them wouldn't work. It's possible that I would get myself in trouble instead!" Looking at how well the group was working with each other, he was originally thinking of using the same scheme he had always used against them but gave up after thinking it through.

Not to mention that the Barbaric Giant wouldn't drop any loot for him. Even if it would drop any, he couldn't kill all the two hundred players by rushing out at this time.

Once they used Capture on him and Feng Chu found out his weakness, these people could easily use Capture to limit him.

After giving it a thought, he had decided to hide on a tree and wait for the Tianxia Gang to kill the Barbaric Giant, so he could go get the corpse.

Roar!

In a short amount of time, the Barbaric Giant had only a slither of HP left and it began its rage. Its gigantic mace thrashed around it continuously and killed more than several dozen players in an instance.

Unfortunately, retaliation at the end of one's life would never be effective. In the end, it died in the hands of the waves of players from the Tianxia Gang.

Boom!

Its gigantic body fell unto the ground, but not even one loot was dropped.

"Damn it, another Barbaric Giant with no drops. We have already killed five of them, but we had only managed to get one pet egg. Such a waste of resources."

After the Barbaric Giant died, the guild leader of Tianxia Gang Hao Tian looked around the body. He searched for a long time but could find nothing. And disappointment could be seen from his face.

Feng Chu went over and comforted him, saying, "There is no need to be disappointed, guild leader. Since this is an event, if every Barbaric Giant could drop a pet egg and pet skill book, then pets would become overly common. We have already profited by getting a Rank 8 pet egg after killing five giants. The Myth Group had killed seven and only managed to obtain one pet egg. Similarly, Lingyun Pavilion had killed about five or six and only obtained one skill book.

After hearing Feng Chu's words, Hao Tian's disappointment receded a bit. "Alright, let's go find the next one," he said with a nod.

Then, Hao Tian led the group of players and left to find the next Barbaric Giant.

After they left, Jiang Feng smiled as he jumped down next to the Barbaric Giant, seizing his opportunity.

"The drop rate for this event is so low. But to me, the drop rate is not that bad!" He said as he used Transmute Monster on the corpse of the Barbaric Giant.

Ding! System Prompt: Monster Transmutation successful. Congratulations. You have received a Pet Skill Book.

"I got a book!"

After hearing the system's voice, Jiang Feng was slightly pleased. He took the skill book from the flames and checked.

Blink: High-level Pet Skill Book

Active Skill. Upon activation, appear at any location within 10 meters. Cooldown of 5 seconds.

"A positioning skill, not bad!"

Looking at the skill book in his hand, he didn't hesitate and learned it. He then ran towards the next set of coordinates that Canaan had sent to him.

Chapter 63: Great Earning

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

For the entire day, Jiang Feng had been running around the Imperial Dragon City picking up the Barbaric Giants' corpses.

Canaan was responsible for providing him with the information, and he was responsible for looking for them.

He had spent the entire day and transmuted eleven Barbaric Giant corpses. He had succeeded eight times and failed thrice.

He had received six pet eggs and two skill books, and the experience pill that he had obtained had been used on himself. His level had also been increased to Level 17.

The six pet eggs excluding the Thunderclap Mantis, the other five eggs were two Rank 5 pet eggs, two Rank 6 pet eggs, and one Rank 7 pet egg.

Other than the 'Blink' skill book, the other skill book was "High-speed Movement."

Correct. He had already learned the skill, so he had let Yanhu learn from the newly acquired skill book.

"The event had ended. While I've spent the whole day on this, the reward is still not bad."

Jiang Feng lay on top of a giant rock and smiled as he looked at the items inside his spatial bracelet.

According to the information that he had gathered, those major guilds had used all that they had to farm the Barbaric Giants, but they had only received four pet eggs and three skill books. Some guilds didn't even get anything and spent their time for nothing.

He considered himself incredibly lucky when compared to them.

He took out the Crimson Flame Rabbit Pet Egg and placed it at the Trading Hall and designated for it to be sold to Canaan.

Since she had helped him a lot, he needed to show his appreciation by giving her something in return. And it seemed like the Canaan Guild did not manage to get anything.

He didn't sell the rank 5 pet egg at a premium rate and had only asked for 20,000.

At the current stage, the price of a pet egg could be very high. A rank 5 pet egg had its price bumped up to 30,000. A rank 6 had increased up to 50,000. A rank 7 had increased to 100,000. A rank 8 had increased to 150,000... The rarer the pet egg was, the more expensive its price became.

Not to mention that the pets had no so-called transition period and could be improved slowly. That was why their price was much higher than the equipment.

After he had completed the designation, the money was quickly transferred and the Blazing Rabbit Egg had been bought away by Canaan.

"It's already 5 in the evening, I better go and make dinner!"

Looking at the time, it was already time for a meal. He was then prepared to log out to go have dinner.

Beep beep.

At this time, his Friend panel began to blink. It was a message from Mu Xi.

Mu Xi: "I heard that you have pet eggs? Could you sell me one?"

Jiang Feng was slightly shocked, and asked: "How did you know?"

He did not know that Mu Xi was a member of Canaan Guild. If he had known about it, he wouldn't have asked such a question.

Mu Xi: "A feeling. You are strong, so you must have been farming the Barbaric Giants. And with your luck, you must have been able to get an egg or two."

For reasons unknown, Mu Xi did not mention Canaan.

Seeing Mu Xi's answer, Jiang Feng could only shake his head with a bitter smile. He silently thought to himself, 'this woman's sixth sense is too strong.'

Looking at the four pet eggs in his spatial bracelet, he then mumbled to himself, 'These four pet eggs are not appealing to me at all. I better sell them then. I can save some money and get a bigger home for Dad. Dad loves fishing, so I can lease a fishpond or buy a terminal and let Dad join the game as well. I can also hire a caretaker afterward, then I can play the game without worries.'

Now that he had established his career in the game, he didn't want to go sweep the streets anymore. He also wanted to improve his living condition. With those things in mind, he was ready to sell all four of the pet eggs.

Mu Xi was wealthy. The reason that she bought so much equipment from him was to build up her guild. Otherwise, she wouldn't need that much equipment. Since she was part of a guild, he was sure that she did not have enough pets. If that was true, then this would be easy.

Jiang Feng gave it a thought, then replied, "I have four pet eggs in my possession. One rank 5, two rank 6, and one rank 7. How much can you pay me?"

After he had sent the message, he didn't receive a response from Mu Xi. Perhaps she was shocked.

It was understandable. So many guilds went to farm the Barbaric Giants, and they only managed to get four pet eggs, and he himself had that many. It would be strange if she wasn't surprised at all.

After several dozen seconds, Mu Xi had finally recovered from the shock. She then responded, "All of them. I'll give you 250,000!"

'250,000? It's higher than the market price by 20,000. The wealthy can spend so much without thinking twice, how extravagant!'

"Let's trade!"

He would be a fool to refuse such a deal.

With that amount of money and the one that he had originally earned, he could buy a small detached house in the slums with a decent environment. He no longer needed to feed the animals, and his life would become easier.

With the four pet eggs having been placed for trade, they had been bought by Mu Xi very quickly. The 250,000 had entered his account.

After deducting the 50,000 that he had repaid to Zheng Tao, and his transactions with Canaan, he still had 30,000 in savings. Including the 250,000 that he earned this time, he now had a grand total of 280,000.

In just a few days, he had already earned 280,000 from the game. It made him feel like this was all a dream.

He clicked on the log out button and logged out of the game.

After making dinner, he then called his father to have dinner.

When they were having dinner, he noticed that his father wasn't paying attention. He even noticed some of his hair had turned white.

Looking at what had happened, he became sad and ridden with guilt and thought to himself, 'Dad must still be worried about the money from Zheng Tao. Well, I better tell Dad."

"Dad, I've already given Zheng Tao his money back," he told his father as he picked up a pickle using his chopsticks and put it into his bowl, and ate a few mouthfuls.

"What did you say?" His father was startled as he looked at Jiang Feng with a troubled face.

Jiang Feng shrugged, then went back to his room to take out the receipt, and showed it to his father. "I said I have paid Zheng Tao back."

His father looked at the receipt, but instead of being happy, he looked at Jiang Feng in worry. "Little Feng, even if we're poor, we still need to have our dignity. Don't be a sinner in this society and do something that is anti-social, what you did..."

"Dad, what are you thinking about? I earned the money lawfully. I didn't steal, didn't rob, and didn't commit any crimes," Jiang Feng quickly explained as he knew that his father had misunderstood him.

"You didn't go out much and lie on your bed every day, how did you earn so much money?" His father asked.

"You said that I've been lying on my bed every day, and that means I couldn't have committed any crimes." Jiang Feng took out the game terminal and placed it in front of his dad. "I wasn't sleeping when I was lying on my bed. I was playing a game. And the money came from the game. Do you remember the conversation from the people from Fatty Wang's Stall? I was afraid that you wouldn't believe me then, but I am the 'Number One in the Game, Jiang Feng' that they were talking about."

"Then where did you get the money to buy the terminal?" His father continued to doubt him with a frown.

"A schoolmate lent it to me, but I've bought it now."

Jiang Feng didn't dare to say that he had picked it up. He knew how his father would think, and he would definitely want him to return it, so he had to lie about it.

After half an hour's worth of explanation, his father finally accepted the truth. Even his face had brightened and he was no longer frowning.

After dinner, he didn't log into the game, but went to a property sales office and bought a small western-style house near a lake at the border between the slums and the city for 250,000.

The only reason that he could buy it at such a cheap price was that the house had some problems. Somebody had died in the building, and it had been empty since. After the owner's death, his children needed money urgently and sold it at an even cheaper price.

But Jiang Feng was indifferent. Who said that a place where people had died before could not be lived in? Is there anywhere in this world that someone did not die in?

He was not superstitious and bought the place without hesitation. He even looked for cleaners to have it cleaned as he planned to move over tomorrow.

After he had done all this, it was already around eight or nine at night. After freshening up, he logged back into the game.

Chapter 64: Qiu Si Approaches

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Imperial Dragon City, central business district.

This was the largest business district in the Imperial Dragon City.

As most crafters had not fully developed yet, most of the shops had not been rented out.

But a small number of shops had been rented by the major factions.

At the current stage, no one had a Guild-Building Order. The major factions couldn't build up their base yet, so they could only rent a shop as a place where the higher-ups have their meetings.

The shop that Canaan Guild rented was the one that was most easily missed, it was at the corner of the Central Business District.

The shop's signboard had 'Canaan Guild' written over it.

Currently, a group of higher-ups from Canaan Guild were talking by a wooden long table.

On the long table, there were five pet eggs. Two of them at Rank 5, two of them at Rank 6, and the remaining one at Rank 7.

Canaan looked at the five pet eggs and said with curiosity in her voice, "How did Jiang Feng manage to get so many pet eggs? Could it be that he had killed multiple Barbaric Giants on his own with the information that I had given him? Not to mention that his luck must be very high, if not he won't be able to get so many pet eggs as drops."

"My guess is that he had over five, at least six. Because it is not possible that he would sell all of them. If he had one in his hand, it must be a pet that's at least Rank 8 and above!"

"Could It be the Two-headed Fiendish Wolf? The number 1 on the Pet Leaderboard?" Asked Han Qianqian.

"Regardless, control the members that had recently joined. Do not offend him at all costs," Canaan instructed, then turned to Mu Xi with a smile. "Mu Xi, it's all thanks to you this time. You had spent so much money on us again."

Mu Xi smiled and shook her head.

"Big sis, I want to find Xiao Bai!" Nangong Tiaotiao said as she shook Mu Xi's arm.

"Tiaotiao, Xiao Bai had gone home. This is a White Wolf pet egg, you can treat it as Xiao Bai," Canaan said as she took the Rank 7 pet egg and gave it to Nangong Tiaotiao.

"No! He's not as strong as Xiao Bai, I want Xiao Bai," Nangong Tiaotiao said as she pouted.

...

Crouching Dragon Range, Level 17 Thorn Porcuboar territory.

Porcuboar: Level 17 Normal Monster

HP: 90,000

Attack: 900-1100

Defense: 600

Jiang Feng summoned Yanhu, Heifeng, and the Thunderclap Mantis to his side for leveling.

At this time, the Thunderclap Mantis was only at Level 5. He was ready to increase the mantis's level and stats within the week, and see if he could transmute some more evolution pills and bloodlines.

Because of the bloodline limit, Yanhu and Heifeng could evolve into Divine Level as long as they had the Evolution Pills. But this was not the case for the Thunderclap Mantis. Only by using a more powerful bloodline to raise its bloodline limit could its power be maximized!

"Boss, is this our new underling? Why doesn't he talk?" Yanhu asked as he looked at the Thunderclap Mantis next to him. It seems that he had already communicated with the Thunderclap Mantis when he was in the Qiankun Gourd. He wouldn't ask that question otherwise.

"Stop asking so many questions, time to work!"

Jiang Feng rolled his eyes at Yanhu and then attacked at a Porcuboar.

Yanhu sharpened his claws and also attacked a Porcuboar together with Heifeng.

As for the Thunderclap Mantis, Jiang Feng didn't have it attack any monster because of its low level and was simply towing it along for the experience points.

The porcuboar was huge and had spikes grown on its body, but its movement speed was not slow at all. Yanhu and Heifeng had some trouble fighting it, but Jiang Feng was having an easier time in general.

His current attack had reached the 2000s and his defense had reached 1050. The Porcuboar could barely breach his defenses, but the number of damage that he received was no threat to him.

Because of that, he kited a mob of twenty to thirty porcuboar at one go.

"Tornado! Tiger Roar!"

Once he had kited around twenty to thirty porcuboar, he directly unleashed his multi-target skills.

At the next moment, a giant tornado appeared and threw the thirty porcuboar into the air. As their HP continuously depleted, he used Tiger Roar at the porcuboars within the Tornado without waiting for them to fall. A beam of light crashed into the tornado and dealt an enormous amount of damage to the porcuboar within.

When the porcuboar fell onto the ground, he used High-Speed Movement to rush into the porcuboar group and swung his dragon claws, incessantly attacking the porcuboars. Each of his attacks caused blood to spurt out, and in mere moments the scent of blood filled the surrounding.

Yanhu and Heifeng looked at Jiang Feng, who was running around the porcuboar, with astonishment. "The boss is so damn bloody!"

In less than ten minutes, all thirty porcuboars had been slain.

"Transmute monster, transmute!"

After killing thirty porcuboars, he then transmuted one of the corpses.

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster Successful. Congratulations. You have received one Porcuboar Pelt and one Level 17 Experience Pill.

After Transmute Monster had entered cooldown, he then kited another three porcuboar. Once his cooldown had expired, he would then use Transmute Monster on the corpses of the porcuboar.

Kill, transmute, kill again, and transmute once more!

From 9 at night, he farmed until 3 or 4 in the morning.

Ding! System Prompt: Congratulations on reaching Level 18. You have received 3 free attribute points!

Ding! System Prompt: Transmute Monster successful. Congratulations. You have received one Porcuboar Pelt, one Level 17 Experience Pill, and one Evolution Pill!

"Whew~ After killing for an entire night, I finally managed to transmute another evolution pill!" Jiang Feng heaved a sigh of relief looking at the evolution pill in his hand.

"Boss!"

Seeing that Jiang Feng had transmuted another evolution pill, Yanhu and Heifeng ran toward him excitedly and looked at him with adulation.

"What are you rushing about? This one is for you, but not now. Once I transmute another one, I'll give one to each of you!"

With that, Jiang Feng then put away the Evolution Pill. He would transmute another one, and then use the Matter Duplication Pill on it to get another one. Then he would have three evolution pills.

If he were to give both to Yanhu and Heifeng, he would have no idea when he could transmute another one and he would have none for himself.

After hearing Jiang Feng's words, Yanhu and Heifeng became speechless but didn't dare to argue with him.

"Come, let's find somewhere else!"

He was already at Level 18, and he would get less experience if he continued to farm the porcuboar. So, he was going to switch to another Level 18 to continue to farm monsters.

But just as he turned around, he saw a handsome man wearing all white approaching him from afar.

When he saw the man in white approached, his body began to tremble as if he was being threatened.

"As expected of the Shifters' successor, you are indeed powerful! Your attack and defense are quite decent, there are few players that can match at the current stage!"

The man in white clapped as he approached Jiang Feng.

'The successor of the Divines, Qui Si! What is he doing here?" Jiang Feng thought to himself as he looked at the man in white approaching.

As if he saw through Jiang Feng's skepticism, a smile appeared on his handsome face and said, "Do not be alarmed. The reason that I'm here is because of the Xuanyuan Sword Fragment."

"I did not expect that he knew that I had a Xuanyuan Sword fragment on me! Looks like he had some equipment that allowed him to search for the fragment. Otherwise, he wouldn't know that the sword fragment was on me!" Jiang Feng thought to himself after hearing Qiu Si's words as he was momentarily taken by surprise.

"This is a Divine Speech Pill, it will allow monsters to speak the tongues of humans. Eat it!"

Qiu Si took out a pill and threw it at Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng extended his dragon claw and caught the Divine Speech Pill and examined it.

Divine Speech Pill: Spiritual Level Pill

After consuming the Divine Speech Pill, the user will master the speech of every race. Specially made by the Divines. Duration 24 hours. No cooldown!

"I never thought that such a pill would exist inside the game. Looks like the game has a lot of races. Otherwise, such a pill wouldn't exist at all!"

Seeing the Divine Speech Pill in his hand, he ate it after giving it a thought.
