Christmas Miracles
Chapter 13th
Tim and Delilah went to work on their version of a snowman with Johnny and Morgan helping out with the piles of snows pushing towards them. However it was beginning to snow hard once again as the forecasters had predicted with giving the snowplows some time to clean up the main road and secondary streets.
Tim was excited with watching his children play with enjoying the Christmas season. It was beginning to be too much work with the snowman. However they were able to finished it up. Though he felt his cell phone vibrant in his coat pocket.
His wife wasn't liking the idea of her husband answering his phone on his day off. It was Director Vance at home getting dressed with the Naval Yards partially opened.
"Yes, Director Vance how can I help you?" He asked with Delilah looked over to him talking. "Are you kidding a gas explosion on a carrier in dock for the holidays? Whose responsible sir?" He needed to asked.
"We think terrorists trying to make a mark for themselves with the holidays. I know that I am asking a great deal right now. I am even calling Gibbs and Torres to help out with Lt. Brown."
"Gibbs actually agreed to come in and check it out ?" Tim said with annoyance in his tone.
"Yeah he did. He's dressing and is on his way over to the pied as we speak." Vance needed to say with the order.
"Very well I will meet them at the pied since I know there is only one carrier in at the particular pied it's the Kitty Hawk that my father used to serve." He replied with pride in his angered demeanor.
"Correct. See you soon providing this god damn snow will let up some what with the higher temperatures." He hung up the phone to look at his wife.
"Go already Tim. It's important that you find out about which terrorist group is involved. Even though I have a feeling that Gibbs will know with the answer and Loreile going to have a fit...

Gibbs didn't as yet leave for the pied. He needed to dress proper along with cleaning his truck and windshield wipers. Loreile didn't bother to say a word to her husband about going out on his day off even though he had no choice with Vance helping out with being short of personnel.
However Loreile just prior to him leaving she had dressed to bring out a canteen of hot coffee for the trip over. She had placed inside on the side of the driver's seat. While Gibbs was wiping off the last of the snow from the back part of the truck. "Thanks for the coffee. Do me a favor with not waiting up I have no idea when I will be home. Lets hope this doesn't affected our Christmas holiday all together?"
"I agree Jethro. Good luck and find those bastards that placed the explosive on board the carrier."
"Thanks, I believe it's the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk that Tim's father used to serve years ago." Loreile will kiss him before getting inside the house with the snow beginning to blow again.

Fire trucks, Coast Guard, NCIS and the local police had gotten involved with the Kitty Hawk. There were a total of fifty on board while the others were on leave for the next 24 hours.
However with the explosion on D deck might of killed at least ten crew members. Getting to the bodies was another matter with the snow blowing and the winds...
Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his team met at the main entrance having to been told to wear protective suits with the fire department issuing the orders. The fires were almost out from the patrols in the harbor along with the Coast guard.
Gibbs, Brown, Torres and McGee were ready to board the carrier having to be careful for any hot spots. He didn't need to have any of agents getting burned during this particular holiday.
They were all wearing air masks with the smoke circulated throughout the entire ship. " Do we have possible on how many had been killed down below?" Gibbs needing to know the answer with moving slowly through the ship taking the steps down to lever D for where some or all of the damage was done.
There were crew members helping with the removal of the bodies having found six of the possible ten. Gibbs stopped one of the young crew members covered in dirt with his protective suit. "Anyone alive Ensign Carver?" Looking at his name tag through his suit and front of the uniform.
"No sir. So far all dead and the center is over in that area for where the explosion happened. None of us think it was a gas explosion since the maintenance department had done a check only a few weeks back from what I understand."
McGee and Torres checked through the area to find something that look liked a detonator to trigger the explosive. "Boss look what we found over there in a pile of the corner?" McGee will state with his analysis of the situation.
As they checked further Gibbs moved inside needing to be careful with his footwork when he tripped over another body under a box that had fallen on him. "Torres over here please!" He cried out with bending down with Torres helped to find a male body charred with burns from the explosion. Torres bent down to try and see if he can find out his I.D. in his pocket.
There was a wallet of his I.D. and pictures of his family having to be Sergeant James F. Kennel his address is in Alexandria, Virginia. Actually only a block away from Gibbs house. "Do you know him boss?" McGee will asked with seeing the look on Gibbs face...
"Yeah I do Tim. I watched him grow up with his family really proud that he joined the Navy. However his wife Marcy will have to be told the sad news she is currently their first child." Gibbs said with anger hitting lightly the pole on the side of him.
