Before I begin I will like to say that I don't own ATLA or most of these characters. In this story we see the gaang around 4 years since the war ended. Everyone is happy and the world is at peace, but you know that all good things don't last long.

The ages are :

Aang is 17, Katara is 18, Zuko is 20, Sokka is 19, Toph is 16 and so on.

"Come on little guy, you wanna go sledding?" Aang asked the penguin and then fell on the snow.

"Ow!" he cried. Katara giggled. "Oh you think this is funny?" he asked with a grin and got up to tackle her to the snow. He then tickled her to get more laughs out. "Aan- hah- sto- heh- I can't- hehe- breathe," she cried with joy in her voice. He stopped and then looked at her.

He admired her face for a moment. Her beautiful ocean eyes, the way the light hit her face and made her skin glow, the way her hair falls across her face. Looking at her he couldn't help but think what he had done to deserve such an amazing woman. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He asked with a low voice.

Katara smiled at him and blushed. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?" she asked him while leaning in to kiss him. They shared a passionate kiss filled with so much joy and love.

A penguin began to squawk near them. They both opened their eyes and looked at each other. They broke the kiss and began to laugh. "Ok, now let's actually get a penguin this time," Katara mocked.

"Hey, I can get a penguin! I have a way with animals remember?" He asked making them both look back to the first time they penguin sled together.

Katara taught about that moment and how it was one of her favorite moments with Aang. He was able to bring back joy and fun back into her life when she felt lost. His happiness was so contagious that it was hard to be sad around him. It was one of the things she loved about him. How even after all the pain and suffering that he had gone through he still managed to keep a genuine smile on his face.

Katara took out a fish from her bag and gave it to one of the penguins. She looked over and saw that Aang was on a penguin too. "You ready?" he asked her. "Ready to beat you!" she responded. He laughed and they began to go down a hill.

As they sled through the snow they laughed as if they didn't have a care in the world. And at this moment in time, everything was perfect.

In the Fire Nation Palace, sat Firelord Zuko in his throne. He was releasing his generals and advisors from the meeting they just had. As the doors opened and they proceeded to exit, the firelady entered.

Zuko looked up to his beautiful wife coming towards him. He stood up to go to her. "Hey, do you need help?" he said as he put his arm around her to help her up the stairs. "Zuko, I'm fine! Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm helpless!" She argued.

He then helped her sit down on her throne and stroked her cheek. "I know, but I still want to take care of you. That's the next firelord you're carrying in there remember?" he said with a giggle in his voice. She looked up at him and smiled. They shared a quick kiss and Zuko sat back down on his throne.

"So, how was the meeting?" she turned to him and asked. "Good, everything in the kingdom seems to be going smoothly." he answered. "That's go-" she was cut off by the throne room doors being opened. Zuko and Mai looked up to see General Jong with a terrified look in his eyes. "General, what is it?" the firelord asked. "My lord, I'm afraid I have bad news. It's your sister, she's escaped her prison!" Zuko and Mai's eyes both widened and then they turned to each other in worry.

"How is that possible? Last I heard she was in a state of mind that couldn't even be talked to. How did she go from that to managing to escape her prison!" he exclaimed.

"We were told she stroke the guards with lighting. None of them survived." The general replied. "She hasn't even shown any sign of firebending in years! How did she take out a whole fleet of guards?" Zuko exclaimed. "I'm not sure my lord, we have reason to believe she might've been faking it and practiced in secret." he replied. "Well, do you know where she is now?" Mai finally spoke with much worry and urgency in her voice.

"I sent troops all over the Fire Nation to look for her. She couldn't have gotten that far in just a couple of hours," the general replied to the firelady. Mai then looked down at her pregnant belly and got worried about her and the baby's safety. Last time she encountered Azula she had betrayed her, which eventually led to her downfall. If Azula was going to try to hurt anyone, she would be at the top of the list.

Zuko saw this and got worried too, but he couldn't let Mai know that. He need to be strong, for the three of them. "It's gonna be okay, trust me," he told her while putting his hand on her shoulder and looked down at her with a smile. She looked up and took comfort in his touch.

"I want you to send a message to the Avatar! Tell him to come to the Fire Nation, immediately!" Zuko ordered the general. General Jong bowed and proceeded to exit the throne room.

Zuko then proceeded to hold Mai tight so that she wouldn't feel unsafe.
