*AN~ nothing really for today except for the fact that I don't own atla :( "hEaRt bEeN bRoKe So MaNy TiMeS" okay enjoy ;-;
It's the night before the concert and all Aang can think of the song he's thinking about performing. The song captures his relationship with Katara pretty well. All they do when they are together is goof off and talk about stuff that regular people wouldn't. That's just how they've been, and with this, Aang slowly started to fall for her.
"I really hope I just don't fuck up the song." Aang thought to himself.
"Aang lights out," Gyatso says from downstairs.
"Alright, Grandpa! Goodnight!"
"Goodnight."
Over with Katara, she hears her phone ringing.
"Hey Jet, what's up?" Katara says.
"Katara, be honest with me. Do you like me? Let alone love me?" Jet says with a bit of a harsh tone.
Katara could hear herself swallow the leftover air in her throat.
"Yes, obviously I like you! We're together aren't we?" Katara says.
"Yes, but do you still want to be with me?" Jet continues.
Katara thought about what would happen if she said no, Aang would finally be hers.
"Yes, I do!"
"So then why did I hear that airhead prick talking about how much he likes you and wants to be with you?"
Katara felt a dark blush wipe over her face "Aang likes me still?" "That's amazing…"
"I don't know… but I know that we are together and that we have a date tomorrow at my brother's concert."
She can hear Jet scoff over the phone.
"Are you sure it's just not that you can see Aang?"
"Jet, one, I'm going to need you to shut the fuck up. You are the person who wanted to go to the concert. Are you so insecure to the point where you question my feelings for you just because someone else likes me?" Katara says; knowing that Jet is right. She doesn't like him anymore and wants to be with Aang.
Jet takes a moment to process what his girlfriend just told him, "You're right. I'm so sorry Katara. I just got scared."
"It's okay, I forgive you. I'll see you tomorrow at school. Goodnight." Katara says.
"Goodnight." Jet says.
Katara hangs up, drifting off to a comfortable sleep.
"Jettt babyyy, are you off the phone with that whoreeee!", Smellerbee says.
"Yes, I am! Now come here," Jet responds.
Toph, Sokka, Katara, Aang, and Zuko are hanging out at 's tea shop. (AN~ Also I'm slow and forgot to mention this but Zuko still has his scar I genuinely just didn't think to mention it! But yes it's still there but the whole gang is used to it by now so they don't mention it. Okay sorry for the kind of long author's note!)
"I didn't know your uncle was a tea shop owner as well as a teacher?" Katara says.
"Yeah, he opened up the place during summer! It's pretty cool when you get free tea every so often" Zuko says.
They all laugh as they hear the bell on the door ring. They all look over to see one of the most beautiful girls. She has shoulder-length auburn hair that has a red bandana tied around it. She's wearing a red tank top with black ripped jeans and black platforms. They all pay no attention to her, except for Zuko.
"Ooooo, does Zuko have a little crush on Suki?" Toph snorts.
"One, I don't have a crush on her. Two, her name is Suki?" Zuko says, blush over his cheeks. "Also she wouldn't like me anyway" Zuko finishes pointing to his scar.
"Yeah, she's friends with a couple of my friends. She's a junior like Sugar Queen and me. Also, that scar doesn't define your personality!" Toph says. "Hey, Suki! How have you been?" Toph hollers.
Zuko's eyes go wide while everybody else laughs as Suki makes her way over.
"Hey Toph! Who's the crew?"
"This is Katara, Aang, Sokka, and Zuko," Toph says as pointing to the respective people.
"Nice to meet you! Also, may I say you're absolutely STUNNING!" Katara says with a smile on her face.
"Thank you! So are you!" Suki responds.
"Hi I'm Aang," Aang says.
Suki shoots him a smile. She introduces herself to Sokka, but once she gets to Zuko she notices a red spot over his eye but doesn't pay too much attention to it.
"You must be Zuko! Also, your hair doesn't suit you like that." Suki says. With this, she pushes his hair being his ears, fully showing his scar but she didn't seem to care.
"There, that's better! Show that cute face off!" Suki winks.
Everyone's jaws drop. Suki is so unfazed by what she saw on Zuko's face and continues like it was nothing.
"Anyways, I'll see you guys around! Bye!" Suki says as her tea was ready.
"She's really something special," Toph says.
Zuko touches his scar and smiles, "Yeah she is.."
*AN~ *TEARS OF JOY* That was sentimental :(( This was a short chapter but I want to make the concert and the aftermath a separate chapter! If you have any comments/criticism, please leave them they are much appreciated! bye!
