Inuyasha: Existence!
Chapter 2: The test.
Y/N was seen walking through the forest, eyes gawking at things she passed by and watching as some butterflies fluttered through the air. A happy, open smile formed and her beautiful e/c alien eyes glistened as the sun beamed from behind "Wow... I've never seen such butterflies! Well, except that one over there..." Her head moved over with a sweatdrop trailing down her head, to view a black and blue butterfly that looked like the color of literal poop. Her eyes peered down at the grass that brushed against her shoes as she walked, humming in thought at its different hue of green. "I honestly don't remember the grass looking like this before. A different green color...? Hmm..." she mumbled.
Her head looked back up and her brows knitted, now she was getting worried. "Where am I...?" she asked. Though, seeing a mushroom patch not too far ahead of her, she paused in her step and instantly turned into a chibi. "I kneeew iiiit..." her words were whispered and prolonged the last word from her sentence, all the while. Narrowed white eyes and no mouth, a comical vein had popped up on her head.
One of the mushrooms looked like someone took a bite out of it, while a few of them were missing due to the stems lacking their caps. Quickly she went over to them, soon squatting and getting a closer look at them. Her head tilted to one side with a risen brow, she doesn't recall them at all and that worried her even more! If I didn't eat any mushrooms, then what in the world could have made all of those distortions...? Is there something wrong with my eyes? Did my body fix my vision somehow when I haven't even noticed they were messed up? Oh no... she said in her mind. Her eyes widened, stood there for a minute, and then shouted.
"AM I COLOR BLIND?! NO THANK YOU, I DO NOT WANT TO BE LIKE A DOG!" she exclaimed with both hands clenched on the sides of her scalp. Blinking and snapping out of her short panic, Y/N lowered her arms when recognition hit her. "Wait... Does that mean... Naaaaah. Dogs see in black and white, so I'm not color blind." Her hand waved back and forth as her eyes closed, giving off a goofy smile.
Faint chuckles from around a tree just ahead of her occurred and made her look towards its direction. When she peeked around it, there sat a brown-cloaked man sitting on the ground with his back against the tree. His facial features were mostly hidden by the upper part of his cloak, shielding his eyes and ears. Y/N blinked curiously and was about to speak when he decided to instead. "A dog, you say? What is this about you, not wanting to be color blind?" he asked with a melodious tune and his lips curled into a smirk.
"Um... I was just venting," she trailed off and looked away, scratching her temple. "Hey, uh... I'm, sorta lost and I've been looking for someone, anyone, to give me directions to the nearest town. I have no clue where I am and I most likely took a wrong turn somewhere," she frowned and looked down at him in hopes of an answer. She stepped around the tree more to see him better and apparently he was holding a bat, which hung upside down on his index finger. The strange man's fingernails were long and sharp, it kind of freaked her out. Has he ever heard of clipping his friggin' nails...?! He could hurt someone with those! Mentally exclaiming, she noticed a single pointed tooth protruding from under his upper lip; this surprised her even more.
"Hehehe, of course." The man answered and stood up, making his pet bat wobble a little on his finger. When he faced her, he didn't even react to her appearance, he just had a closed smiled. That smile was no ordinary smile though, it curved up with his one fang sticking out and a dent in his upper lip. (The only smile I can think of that's a good example, is one of Sebastian's smiles from black butler :o ) With his free hand, he pointed ahead and spoke. "Continue down that path and you will run into a village. You're in the western lands, so be wary of his lordship; lord Sesshomaru, he's traveling but his whereabouts are unknown." Explained the man, saw her look over in the said direction behind her and he lowered his hand.
Facing the man again, Y/N smiled and gave him a playful salute. "Yes, sir!~" She giggled at her own goofiness and grinned, acting like a soldier. "Thanks!" the girl was about to run down the said spoken path until a sound of rustling leaves met both of their ears. Their heads turned to look out into a small opening nearby where the rustling occurred, making her raise a brow.
The man kept his grin and did nothing to stop her when she walked over to it. Then, it disappeared; the rustling of the leaves that came from a large bush had stopped. "Weird, what was that...?" A smile formed at the thought of it being just a squirrel and walked back over to the man laughing to himself. "Whatever, probably a squirrel or something," Y/N said and made her way back over to that odd man.
"Well, why don't I escort you to the village?" The man said with a suspicious tone and walked over to her, seeing her stop in mid-step. That bat was still on his finger, not once being disturbed from its comfort.
"Oh, really? Thanks!" With an open smile and closed eyes, Y/N thanked the man. One thing she wasn't expecting, was for a tree to come flying at him from behind. "WATCH OUT!" she screamed out and tackled him to the ground; all that was heard, was a crash behind her in the distance. The bat he had, flew into the air and left the two there, squeaking its little voice. She quickly perked up and looked around, now being on all fours. Y/N, unaware of what the strange man's reaction was, looked behind her and saw an entire tree had been ripped out of the ground. She grew uneasy, purple lines going down her head and widened comical eyes. "What...in the-" Before she could continue, a low growl rumbled ahead of her and caught her attention.
The odd man laid sprawled out and the cloak had fallen off his head, revealing dark red, shoulder-length hair that was nearly black. His eyes were closed, mouth open in the shape of an O and his hands were out to his sides. He too, heard the grumbling, it sounded like that of a beast and yet, he didn't show any signs of care. The man felt her sitting on his lap and his cheeks turned pink. "M-Miss, I may be blind but would you be so kind as to get off of me?" A smirk formed on his lips and felt her rush off him.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" Y/N was so lost in her thoughts that she practically forgot she tackled him... Her hands frantically waved and her face had turned beat-red, then took some steps back.
"I know you didn't.~ Aside from this, wouldn't you agree it would be best to run? A young lady like you shouldn't be in the presence of a demon who desires to eat you... Unless you can fight," said the man with shade casting over his face, after lowering it. This surprised her, her eyes widened at his words and he just smirked at that.
"Demons...? I'm lost..." She turned into a chibi and had white round eyes with a frown, she had no idea what he was going on about.
"Hmhmhm... The one that is hiding within the bushes," With that, he yanked off his cloak and revealed large bat wings attached to his backside. They were the same color as his hair, his chest was bare, and dark red fur was around his shoulders and torso; he wore black haori pants and his feet were bare.
Her mouth had dropped in shock, never in her life had she seen someone so inhuman before! Aside from her kind of course... Debris had been tossed up into the sky, which included giant rocks and other uprooted trees. She watched them soar upward behind the bat-like man until he said something. "You may call me Obsidian... I've been waiting for you to arrive since the Time Corpse had collected you!" he said, paused for a moment, and flew up into the air to avoid all of the debris. "I will show you to the nearest village if you pass my test! I am the one whom the Time Corpse had chosen, to test your strength!" he hollered out with his melodious tone.
"What the hell is all of this nonsense?!" She gritted her teeth into view, took a step back, and watched him fly high above the debris that came raining down. She ran around in a circle with a devastated look on her face, doing parkour by bouncing herself off tree bases to avoid obstacles. Crashes, thuds, quakes all occurred around her as each tossed object flew past her. What's this about a Time Corpse and demons?! she questioned out of panic in her mind.
With her teeth gritted into view, she pulled out a small cube that was the size of a quarter and a tiny button that was on its side. Mom, Dad, you taught me so much growing up. You always told me that self-defense was needed if we're ever to be alone in the world... Now I think I know what you guys mean! she mentally panicked in her mind; Y/N always hated having to fight...
Obsidian was fluttering in the sky. The man had no physical sight, but with the soundwaves all around him, he can map out everything easily just by listening. "Fight, miss! Please demonstrate your power! If you lose, the Time Corpse will send you back home and make you forget you had ever been brought here!" He yelled out to her and saw her nearing a giant beast that had a long, thick tail and a snake gorilla-like body, unknowingly.
she cut herself off and gasped, recalling something. The small cube got clenched in her hand and her eyes narrowed. My parent's gift. she finished, reached into her other pocket, and pulled out her phone. If I need to fight, then I need music... she added with a lowered voice in her head. Before she got to turn her phone on, the beast emerged from the bushes with a cry and ran after her with its long, thick tail carrying a large boulder.
Afar from where they were, a tall handsome man with a little girl and a green imp came strolling by. His long silver hair waved behind him as he walked, he stood to 6'3 in height and his golden eyes appeared dead in emotion. The little girl clung to his pant leg humming happily to herself and the imp was irritated by her tune. "I doubt lord Sesshomaru enjoys your pointless sounds, human!" the imp yelled out and had an irk mark throbbed on his head.
"He hasn't said anything yet, right? That must mean he doesn't mind!~" she chirped gleefully and closed her eyes, playfully skipping alongside her lordship now.
"How dare you assume he is not bothered! Show more respect, you little runt!" he yelled, waving his staff around angrily like the toad he was. This only caused her to giggle at his words and he grew irritated even more, until, a loud crash echoed from the distance nearby.
Sesshomaru, who was being clung to by the little girl, looked over to where the sound came from and saw a gorilla-like beast with its long, thick tail tossing debris at someone. Above it was a demon who he thought had gone missing centuries ago, the one demon who many citizens in villages thought was a mere human because of the cloak he wore. His golden eyes narrowed at the sight, he had no idea what that man was doing... When he looked over at whom the beast was after, just by a fraction, his eyes had widened.
Y/N was running at full sprint, doing parkour around and up in the trees. There's no time, that thing's too fast for me to mess with my phone! she exclaimed in her mind and scaled the branches high into a tree. As soon as she managed to get to the top, she looked down to check on the beast. It was sauntering in every direction, trying to find her, which indicated that it lost her. "Now... What can I use to make it stagger and give myself enough time?" she asked herself, seeing that she had very little time until it found her. It took her a moment until a smile formed on her lips, she had the perfect idea...
Down below, as it kept searching for her, a giant boulder came flying down at the beast. Y/N had managed to sneak her way back down the tree and grab one of the giant boulders it had tossed beforehand, with her inhuman strength; so now she had time. It was stumbling and wobbling from the hit, having a small concussion. She landed, being in a crouched position and one knee was lower than the other.
Quickly she turned around, turned her phone on, and scrolled through her music files. "I need action music for combat, so this song should be good," saying that, she kept the headset unplugged from its jack and hooked the phone to her hip. The phone had a case on it, a type of case that could be clamped onto pants, shorts, or dresses that had lips on them. Shutting her eyes, she waited for the song to start and listened to the Gorilla's groans. (Play: Mr. Thrasher – Rape a brain for this fight :3)
Her eyes shot open, their colors changed to a glowing red and they had an intent to kill look in them. The music blasted loud, surprising Obsidian and the few others that were nearby. The view of her zoomed out, showing her glowing eyes and a change of aura. She started to walk towards the tipsy beast until the song picked up.
She jumped high into the air, spun around, and clicked on the small button on the box in her hand. That box released two futuristic pistols and she caught the box between her teeth before it fell. Those pistols shot out red lasers at rapid-fire, piercing the gorilla's backside as she descended. When she landed in a squat position, its tail smacked her and it sent her across the ground.
She bounced and skidded, almost running into a tree if she hadn't done a quick roll to get back up on her feet. Scrapes and small cuts were all over her body when she skidded across the ground like that, so now she was running around the beast shooting her pistols. (Haha the Megaman Legends 1 method xD!) Every time that Gorilla would swing its arm out to hit her, she'd jump over it and continue shooting.
Its tail came at her, only to make her narrow her eyes and do a baseball move. She slid herself forward and skidded across the ground with her back to the surface. During the process, she was shooting and in slow motion, it showed that tail just barely missing her head.
Once she got to its backside, she connected both pistols and they became one; turning into a mini machine gun with two grips and two triggers all aligned. Now she carried it with one hand, climbing its furry back and grunting when she'd avoid its attempts to grab. It kept spinning around, trying to grab her, then tried using its tail to thwack her off. When she got to its neck, she pointed the mussel of her mini machine gun at it and jumped off to avoid its tail.
A backflip in mid-air, she pulled on the triggers using both hands to hold it and shot a line all the way up to its spine. When she landed, she watched it stand there in a stiffened manner. Holes were shown all over its body and when she had done that point-blank shot, she managed to shoot its brain and spinal cord. As soon as the song ended, it tipped forward and fell to the ground. She was panting, she may be a pro at parkour but it still sucked up her stamina, especially during fights.
Now, it was dead, and a parasite was seen crawling out of its ear. That small cube got taken out from between her teeth and held it in her free hand since both her guns were connected. "Ew, now that's not right!" She yelled, comically shot it to pieces, and had narrowed white eyes.
All was silent, Obsidian's mouth was agape and he flapped his bat wings slowly. I'm confused... What are those strange objects that she combined into one? Truly they are weapons, but, what kind? I have never seen such weaponry before. he asked in his mind and remained in awe. Sesshomaru's eyes were still wide by just a fraction, barely noticeable really.
The child and the imp both gawked at amaze, yet at the same time, frightened; they had never seen someone fight like that before, with such foreign weapons; well, of course, the girl hadn't.
The silver-haired man walked towards their location and looked up at the winged male in the sky, then over at the girl who held the foreign weapon. "Jaken." As if his words were self-explanatory, the green imp obliged saying Yes, Mi'lord, and yanked on the girl, dragging her away from them all. This girl. Her scent is different... A small hint of human, but, she holds the blood of something foreign. Not demon, or human...nor elven. his mental words sounded as his golden eyes stared emotionlessly at her.
Woah... With awe, Y/N said in her mind. She stared right back at the man after he approached both her and Obsidian; she couldn't believe her eyes! Am I dreaming, or is that Sesshomaru from the anime, Inuyasha? she asked herself in disbelief, with a hysterical wide-eyed, chibi expression. Anime is one of her other huge hobbies, she loved watching it and Inuyasha just so happened to be one of her most favored. Divines, please don't make me wake up from this dream. she pleaded in a whiny tone and stood there in utter shock.
