Chapter 23 I'll Go
Kludd's POV
"No. I'll go."
When I heard these words...I looked at Nes in shock.
"What", I asked in shock. "But just a moment ago you were having a panic attack about going!"
"Exactly", Nes said. "And as long as my mother is out there, I'll keep on having panic attacks. I'll forever be living in fear of her, unless she is stopped."
"But that doesn't mean you have to go", I pointed out.
"I know", Nes stated. "But I always want to look my mother straight in the eye and tell her how I truly feel about her. That's why I have to go."
When I heard this...I smiled.
"You're very brave Nes", I stated.
"I am", Nes asked.
"Well", I started. "You're willing going to go see the woman who caused you to suffer from anxiety. If that isn't bravery I don't know what is."
Now it was Nes' turn to smile.
"Thank you Kludd", she said before looking at King Boron. "I'll go."
"Good", King Boron said. "You have an hour before you leave."
Ten Minutes Later
I flew into Soren's hollow and saw him resting with his girls.
"Hey Kludd", he greeted.
"Hey dad", I greeted. "Where's Otulissa?"
"She went to go spread her wings a bit", Soren revealed. "I decided to stay here and look after the girls."
"How's fatherhood", I asked.
"I love it", Soren revealed.
"You do realize that it's gonna get harder as they get older right", I asked.
"I know", Soren replied. "But it's worth it."
"Yeah", I said. "Anyway, I came to say goodbye."
"Goodbye", Sora asked in shock.
"Nes and I are going on a stealth mission", I revealed.
"What kind of stealth mission", Soren asked.
"We're gonna be double agents and spy on the Pure Ones", I revealed.
"What", Soren asked in shock. "That's dangerous Kludd."
"I know", I stated. "But somebody has to make sure that the Pure Ones aren't planning anything."
When I said this...I looked down sadly.
"I know", he said in defeat. "Just don't go and do anything stupid now."
"Sure", I said. "I'm the stupid one? You're the one who flew right into fire!"
"And wasn't it awesome", Soren asked.
"Yeah", I agreed. "But also stupid!"
"Okay", Soren said in defeat. "You win."
"Good", I said before getting a serious expression on my face. "Soren, I'm sorry."
"For what", Soren asked.
"For everything", I replied. "I was probably the worst brother in the history of brothers and yet you still sticked by me!"
"That's because no matter what, you and I are forever brothers."
When I heard this...I started crying...and started smiling.
"Yeah", I said. "Forever brothers."
With that I turned around and was about to fly away.
But before I did...I looked at Soren one more time.
Then...I was off.
