Chapter 6: Blackened Creature!

Sesshomaru wandered through the woods not too far from where Y/N, Rin, and Obsidian were at. His golden eyes examined the surroundings to try and find A-Un who was knocked out. From there, if he found the dragon, he'd possibly find Jaken. His long silver hair waved behind him as he walked until several minutes later, he saw the said dragon laying unconscious on the ground.

He paused in his step, observed his surroundings and heard whimpering nearby, coming from the bushes to his right. When he walked over to it and peeked through the leaves, his eyes narrowed at who it was.

"My lord, it was a monster! No, more than a monster, demon or anything, that we have ever encountered before!" Jaken was seen quivering in the leaves of the bush, eyes abnormally wide in fear and a stuttering breath. His staff was in his hands too but, it looked like he used it to smack something with it considering the dent marks it had.

"Where is it...?" His master's question left the little imp in confusion. A simple shake of his head was enough to tell him, that he had no idea. With that, Sesshi looked around some more, trying to spot anything unusual among all the trees. No sign though... Now he was puzzled. Next, he tried sniffing the air but nothing out of the ordinary... No scent of demons, humans other than Rin and Obsidian...

There was but an odd scent though, something he's never smelled before. "Jaken, what was it looking for...? Why did it attack...?" nothing but pure silence after he asked. He looked over and saw the imp gawk at something in the sky, so when he looked up... Someone was up in the sky levitating.

No wings, no source of flight, just their body alone floated in the air. It was the shape of a male figure, blackened out by the sun's rays that beamed behind him. He could tell though that he wasn't a demon or anything he's encountered before... Much like Jaken said.

As soon as he got ready to attack by placing his hand on the hilt of his sword, the male figure flew up past him and disappeared. His brows knitted from concern after recalling what the Time Corpse had said. -A being that no human, demon, priest, priestess or the like can defeat...- We will see about that. his mental thoughts echoed as he walked back over to A-Un. Jaken ran up to his lordship in fear, cowering against him with his staff in a protective position. When Sessho examined A-Un, he was indeed out like a light... It couldn't be helped, he had to drag or carry the dragon back to the rundown village.

"M-My lord, I made Rin run back to the Village to get you!" The imp was devastated but despite that, he was trying to impress his lordship somehow.

As long as Rin was safe, he had no real worry. Sesshomaru picked up the dragon with one hand and carried him through the woods, as well being tailed by his little green bean. As they made their way toward the village, a sound of Rin's scream echoed throughout the air and alerted both him and Jaken. Without hesitation he dropped the dragon, sprinting off with a cry from his Imp saying Wait for me, my lord!.

Obsidian kept dodging forward thrusts from a black bodied man. This man he was facing, there was no detail; no face, no clothing, nothing on him was visible. His entire body was black, he didn't even have eyes! He looked like a literal stick figure only with a full-on body structure of a man.. With sly footwork, the batman hardly moved a muscle.

His bat wings remained hooked around his form, an open smirk was evident and his arms stayed beneath his wings. "If you continue to attack me head on like this, it will only tire you out.~" Obsidian's melodic voice had a hint of mockery and confidence, it only irritated the blackened creature more.

"Hand her over, bat..." The dark silhouette demanded and stopped in his thrusts, lowering his arms to his sides. "She is needed by the great Hateshiganai!" His voice was stern and deep, though it didn't even faze the bat.

"Hohooo...~ Hateshiganai, hm? Is he new? I have never heard of him, would you be so kind as to give me details about its greatness and power?~" Obsidian teased, playing with the guy's intellect and stood there hoping he'd take the bait.

"Fool! Hateshiganai is the endless, boundless, fathomless and measureless being who will rule over all of you!" The man replied with pride as if his master would praise him for all the bragging... Deep down Obsidian rolled his eyes but on the outside, he chuckled to himself.

Batman found it funny how his little trick seemed to play out well. "I would love to meet this great ruler and serve under him if you would be happy to guide me!" Cheerful as possible, he tilted his head and smiled with a happy facade.

"Only if you allow me, that young female," The blackened male pointed his finger over to Y/N and Rin who was in the corner. Y/N had to stay back to keep Rin safe, otherwise, she'd kick his crack for bursting in and attacking out of the blue. Despite not like fighting, she does have a temper at times and when someone dear to her is put at risk, she'd act.

This just amused the bat demon, causing him to laugh under his breath. "I'll only hand her over if you win against me in a fight. Wouldn't you want to impress the little lady first and show her how much stronger, you are in comparison?" Again Obi was playing games, stalling time until Sesshi emerged. Y/N in the background only sweatdropped and had an, are you serious...? expression plastered.

"Very well..." It was almost too easy, he was too easy to trick...and Y/N could feel something off about that. The two walked out of the house and left both her and Rin there alone.

Y/N looked down at the little girl whom she held protectively in her arms and gave her a serious look. "Lord Sesshomaru will save us, I know he will!" The child whisper yelled and frowned, fearing what there was to come. Her eyes looked up and saw Y/N's alien eyes wavering with worry and determination, it made curiosity grow. "What's wrong?" she asked worriedly.

"Rin, I need you to go find Jaken and Sesshomaru, I'm gonna help Obsidian fight that guy," Y/N answered and rubbed her head, with a reassuring smile. She was about to protest when the young woman put a finger to her lips. "Go on, I'll be fine! It never hurts to offer back up," Her words astonished the little girl, but it was all for not, when she frowned and shook her head.

"No, I can't let you! He's after you and if he has his chance, he might capture you and run away!" Little Rin was so worried for her, her tiny hands clenched tightly on Y/N's shirt and it pained her to see her in such a concerned mess.

Damn, she makes a point! Plus, even if I send her out to find Jaken and the others, it'll only put her into more danger! I have to stay here and keep her safe. In her mind Y/N said, gritting her teeth into view and holding the child closer. "You're right, sorry. I'll stay here with you," Those words put a relieved smile on Rin's face, making her cuddle closer.

Outside with Obsidian, he and the blackened creature had a good distance between each other. Both having a stare-down, the dark man had taken his stance but batman just stood still with his arms still beneath his wings, smirking... "You will fall..." The dark man said in an ominous tone, amusing Obi even more. His smirk never faltered, it remained there the entire time.

The blackened creature bolted after him at full sprint and...melted into the ground? This threw Obsidian off, mouth going agape in reaction. The melted spot had disappeared and from behind he materialized with his arms out and fingers stiff in attempt to grab him from behind.

Just before he got grabbed, Obi ducked and ran forward, jumping into the air with his wings sprawling out. They flapped and his head leaned back, soon screeching out a deafening cry, causing soundwaves and made the man cover his ears. Within seconds Obi vanished, spinning in place, swatting his wings out at him and his feet.

The blackened man managed to avoid the incoming wings but got strongly kicked in the abdomen area and went flying across the ground. "You mustn't avert your attention from your opponent!~" He teased, flew after him but halted in his flight when Sesshomaru appeared by his side. "Hehe, like old times, ay Sesshi?~" he chuckled and flew up into the air. Sessho grumbled and they both dodged the extended black limbs that stretched out towards the two.

Sessho didn't like having a nickname, especially when he and Obi were mere acquaintances, old partners even. Sesshomaru drew his sword, ran after the blackened man and Obi screamed out, making more deafening soundwaves. When the male covered his ears again, Sesshomaru managed to swipe at him down the middle.

Nothing happened though...he just stood there split in two, until he came back together like some sort of regenerating blob. "Mere weapons like that, will not harm me..." he said. It slightly surprised Sessho and levitated into the sky, flying after Obi.

Quickly the lordship used his poison whips, swiping at him as he flew through the sky. When he hit his arm, it only sizzled and broke the whip instead. He's immune...?he mentally questioned, chased after him but stopped once he saw Obsidian get smacked. The blackened male spun in place like a saw blade, then extended his arms and smacked batman strongly to the ground.

When he came to a slow stop in mid-air, he turned to make his back face the ground and reached out with his one arm. His arm smashed through the side of the house and retracted back with Rin and Y/N in his grasp. Rin screamed and clung to Y/N as they got encased by the blackened creature's giant grasp. The young woman had her small cube held between her teeth before they got jerked out of the building and she managed to snatch one of her futuristic guns. Sesshomaru was about to jump in to rescue them when he gasped at the sight of Y/N's laser beams getting shot out at the man.

Each laser shot made smoke come up from his arm after aiming at it and pulling the trigger, it slowed him down quite a lot. In fact, his entire arm broke off from so many shots and holes that it left, releasing the two. Her other gun had dropped in the house, all she had time for was to grab one gun. She picked Rin up and ran towards Jaken who was standing near the woods cheering his sempai on. "Here, keep her safe!" With urgency in her voice, Y/N ran back over to help fight off the threat.

"Wait, please don't go!" Rin shouted with worry and watched as Y/N's back faded with the distance, it was already too late to try and stop her...

With Sessho, both he and Obi were facing the male again. Sesshomaru saw her running up to the blackened figure with her one gun aimed at his backside. He gasped with widened eyes, seeing the anger in her own was beyond shocking. Y/N was pissed off that the male had put Rin in danger with that little stunt and now she was ready to kill someone...

"AAAH!" She yelled out, jumped into the air, spun around and kicked at the side of his head. It was all in slow motion. Her foot coming in close to his head, Sessho running at him with his poison claws out ready to stab and Obi opening his mouth to screech out; it all happened too fast... The blackened male twirled in place, smacked the lordship's hand away, extended his arm out to knock batman out of the sky and grabbed Y/N all at the same time.

"You are all fools! To think you can defeat an elite warrior like me! Hahahaha!" He laughed out as he flew into the air. Y/N thrashed about in his hold and kicked out her feet, trying to get free.

"LET ME GO, YOU ASSHOLE!" she screamed out of fury. That only made him laugh more, finding her antics rather amusing. If anything, she was relieved she made Jaken watch after her since that little stunt, Mr. tall, dark and irritating had done.

"If she falls into enemy hands, this new threat will succeed!" Sessho yelled out and jumped high into the sky after him, Soon, A-Un came flying over and caught the lordship, choosing to chase after him. He knew that Obsidian would keep an eye on Rin considering when he went out to look for Jaken before, he stayed behind to protect them. So now, Obi was stuck with Rin and Jaken for the time being.

Batman watched as his old partner faded out of sight with the growing distance and wandered on over to the other two. "Hmmm...~" he sounded with concern and knitted brows. He looked down at Rin and Jaken afterword, then smiled his wicked closed mouth and had a single giggle escape.
