Koros45 doesn't own Mazinkaiser, Getter Robo Armageddon, or Neon Genesis Evangelion
Stage 39: [Ultimate Soldier]
Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter Robo, and Great Mazinger all fired their signature finishing moves at Mazinger ZERO as one.
"FIRE BLASTER!"
"GETTER BEAM!"
"THUNDER BREAK!"
The combined attacks dispersed off of its armor, doing no visible damage.
The gigantic Mazinger roared in defiance and massive axe blades grew on each of its wrists. Then it pointed the arms forward slowly, the weight and strength of each causing the three attackers to spread out.
"Iron Cutter!?" Kouji exclaimed as the arms both shot off, each speeding towards Shin Dragon.
The EVA Team was ready to intercept them, the red and purple Evangelions each casting as strong as a barrier they could against the flying fists.
Twin AT Fields shuddered, but still blocked the attacks as Unit 01 and 02 were pushed back from the momentum. Both fists hit the sheer angle of each field and were sent off course.
"Well we stopped the punches! Now to deal with whatever's next." Asuka managed to say as Unit 02's boosters stabilize it.
"It's going to attack again!" Shinji warned as the two recovered, hovering beside Unit 00.
"Focus. Synchronize our AT Fields and leave the rest to me." Rei spoke calmly.
ZERO was nowhere near done as the red heat sinks in its' chest blazed orange.
"It's recovered so fast?! It's already able to use Breast Fire again?!" Dr. Yumi noted from the hangar bay.
Then ZERO's attack fired, the huge swath of flames covering the whole area of space.
An octagonal barrier appeared in the center of the blaze. Once again, Unit 00's own AT Field was at maximum strength as it warded off the flames, flanked by the other EVAs' barriers. Rei grunted, feeling her teeth gnash as Naoko also felt the pressure of the assault. She kept the majority of the flames at bay but her eyes widened as Mazinger ZERO noticed this, its' eyes flashing a bright yellow.
The heat ray was joined by ZERO's Photon Beam, the twin eye beams breaking apart into a multitude of lasers that traveled at various angles. They rammed into and punctured the barrier, striking the Evangelion in the center of the formation.
"Rei - !" Kouji yelled as the attack shoved her back before ZERO's Breast Fire resumed. The combined AT Field was hit at full power and shattered apart. The fire struck all six of ZERO's opponents. This time there was no time to dodge.
Once again there were screams as the pain set in for each pilot, the heat and sheer intensity of the blast enough to scatter the six machines throughout the area. ZERO's eyes were narrowed in a mix of anger and pleasure as it savored their pain. The Breast Fire attack kept up, as each rival machine stayed trapped in the torrent of fire.
"GETTER BEAM!"
Its satisfaction was cut off as a lance of green slammed into its' face. Shin Getter Dragon advanced, the dragon head snarling. Mazinger ZERO growled in response as the heat sinks had stopped firing, extending its arms so the Rocket Punches could return.
Then it readied its next attack. Its eyes burned golden.
"No you don't, ZERO!" Kouji yelled as Mazinkaiser emerged, form charred and sparking from the attacks it endured. The Photonic robot flew right in front of ZERO's face, Kaiser Knuckle striking ZERO's chin and causing its head to move slighting upwards and misfire with Photon Beam, the dispersing shafts of light missing Shin Dragon by mere hairs. The Devil God's eyes stopped firing as it looked down, burning with rage.
Mazinkaiser's pilot was quick to get the machine's attention.
"You want me, ZERO?! Well here I am! You're just an evolved Mazinger Z! Against Mazinkaiser – the ultimate Mazinger – you're nothing more than a big lug!" Kouji taunted.
"'Ultimate Mazinger?!'", the Devil God machine boomed.
"That's right! My Grandfather made Kaiser in case Z wasn't enough to keep me safe! And if you – an evolving version of Mazinger Z has to play dirty by coming at me in visions and dreams – that means he was right!" Kouji yelled as he pointed at his foe.
"You can't even break free of that wormhole without me as a part of you! At least Kaiser can move on its' own!"
To this, ZERO snarled.
"Kabuto Kouji - ! Do you know how many universes' Mazinger I have personally crushed? What is this 'Mazinkaiser' but a mere aberration! Such a thing never should have existed! The mere idea of such a machine existing across multitudes of timelines is insulting - !"
Then its' eyes flashed yellow again as Photon Beam sent Mazinkaiser reeling, the Kaiser Scrander smoking from being hit by the eye beams.
"Your machine is nothing more than a glorified replacement, Kabuto. It was not Z's failing as a machine that led to its' destruction in this timeline – merely your failing as a pilot! Perhaps if you-!"
ZERO's statement was cut off as Thunder Break hit ZERO straight in the mouth, causing it to snarl and look for what hit it.
"Hmph! Well if you don't like what was made to replace Z for Kouji – see what Dr. Kenzo Kabuto made to surpass it!" Tetsuya rebuked as Great Mazinger pointed at it.
"Another pretender to Z's legacy. I'll deal with you the same way." ZERO stated.
Great Mazinger moved quickly, drawing two Mazinger Blades as the Scramble Dash let it accelerate right in ZERO's face. Great raised both blades, impaling ZERO's right eye with both, stabbing into it with great force.
Tetsuya rebuked, "You won't deal with anything other than this."
The Mazinger screamed in pain and it was deafening. The notion that it could feel pain was new to everyone fighting it. Still, Tetsuya boosted away, leaving both swords in ZERO's eye so he could get out of the way as ZERO swatted at him.
"Didn't I warn you you'd feel the strength of Great's steel for yourself? God or Devil, seems you can't deal with pain very well!" Tetsuya taunted as ZERO thrashed about from the sudden attack.
"Great Mazinger - . Perhaps the ultimate insult to my being." ZERO spoke more clearly now, its' rage simmering to a focal point as it looked solely at Tetsuya's machine.
"I will crush your allies into atoms-." ZERO continued as its' eye lit up with photonic energy and the Mazinger Blades embedded in it incinerated.
"- Then, Tetsuya Tsurugi and Great Mazinger – you will finally learn your place in this multiverse. After I fully absorb Kabuto Kouji, you will be the last one to die."

"EVA Team! Respond!" Maya yelled from the bridge, covering her mouth in relief as the EVA pilots all confirmed they were alright.
The bridge operator turned to give Misato a thumbs up. "They're all right, Captain."
The Captain nodded to her. From the comm, Yumi was next to speak.
"That attack jarred it! Meaning a sharp enough blade will do the trick! Kouji – the Kaiser Blade!" Dr. Yumi proposed - even as they could see Mazinkaiser flex backwards, it's chest shining with white light as Kouji began the long process of drawing out the Kaiser Blade.
"That gives me an idea. Dr. Yumi! Our secret weapon! Match its' flight path to Rei's coordinates." Misato responded before she looked to her crew.
From the bridge, Misato could see ZERO try to turn its' attention on Getter Dragon as Kouji finished drawing the weapon, a triumphant roar on his lips.
"KAISER! BLADE!" He cried.
Mazinger ZERO expected to strike Shin Dragon only for Mazinkaiser to slash at its' Pilder with the Kaiser Blade. ZERO's reaction was to focus immediately on the other Mazinger and punch away Mazinkaiser before the swing could follow through. Kouji was rattled, Mazinkaiser losing its' grip on the condensed photon blade.

"Ok, so it doesn't like other Mazingers. But why?" Ritsuko asked as she took notes.
"That reaction to Tetsuya seemed very emotional. It seemed to take Tetsuya and Great Mazinger's mere existence extremely personally!" Maya said, looking at the battle before them.
Now Great had recovered, grabbing Mazinkaiser and steadying it as the two bathed ZERO's face in a blast of Double Burning Fire.
"This is just theorizing based on what I heard from Kouji but - what if – it's a version of Mazinger Z that just kept growing to the point it became self aware. If it learned that in other timelines, Z had successors – then - " She began.
"Even a God-like being such as Mazinger ZERO would feel envy for the mere thought of it needing to be replaced." Ritsuko seconded. "Anything that rivals or surpasses Mazinger Z's strength would be seen as a threat. So in response it has to eliminate other universes' own fighting machines so that Mazinger Z is the only one remaining."
"So it's extremely paranoid about something else showing it up? At its level of power?!" Shigeru asked.
"Rather – it wants to get rid of any potential competition. Any other machine that could take the standard Mazinger Z's place is a target. Meaning we're a big one ourselves inside Shin Dragon." Ritsuko observed.
"Cut the predictions everyone – we're attacking it again!" Misato directed as their ship got in close, ZERO's body taking up the entire view-screen.
"GETTER BEAM!" Sho yelled as Shin Dragon fired its beam at ZERO, striking it right in the head. This time it was close enough for ZERO to budge backwards the slightest bit, giving the others time to attack.
"There we go." Ritsuko said. "More hits like that and we can push it back for real."
ZERO's response to Shin Dragon was vocalized as it fired a scattershot of Photon Beam at Dragon, damaging the outer hull, yet the Getter kept moving towards it.
"An aggregate form of Getter Robo. Another rival Super Robot, devouring all in tainted Getter Rays. All but myself in your impure light. I will stomp out your feeble evolution."
"Yeah, well tell that to this Shin Getter-3! Missile Storm!" Gai responded as Shin Getter 3 fired its payload at ZERO.
The missiles detonated all around Mazinger ZERO's upper torso and Sho took the chance to fire off another of Dragon's Getter Beams, this one from the dragon head's maw on the front of the ship. The wider beam made ZERO shudder and Misato took the opening to give more specific orders.
"Time for the big guns. Rei, I'm sending you one of our final options! Equip it now while ZERO's distracted!" Misato yelled as Shin Dragon deployed the item Misato requested.
"Aim for the Pilder, Rei! That's likely where its' brain is!" Kouji urged.
Unit 00 caught the Lance of Longinus and it warped in Unit 00's hands into the single-pointed spear.
Rei pivoted and let it fly in a single motion, striking ZERO straight in the Pilder section of its head. The impact of the attack caused ZERO to jerk back, stunned as the Lance was embedded directly within the Pilder section of the machine. It had screamed in pain earlier when Tetsuya stabbed it in the eye – but this time its' roar was an all out bellow of pain. Its' 'mouth' gaped open as the scream was now involuntary.
This time there were no taunts to follow as it seemed to take this new attack seriously, head and neck jerking erratically as it tried to find the attacker responsible for its' pain.
Ritsuko was quick to urge her Captain to act. "Misato, we're almost there! We need to keep pushing!"
"If ZERO can recover and push us back again, we're done!" Misato yelled. "If ZERO manages to withstand this next wave of attacks - we'll have to use the Shine Spark!"

ZERO leaned forwards, the Lance of Longinus visible from the interior of its Pilder, a broken material that looked like glass showing a large amount of mechanical panels and tubes underneath the covering.
"I was able to pierce the outer shell – but it appears I did not hit its Pilder with enough force." Rei said as she readied her AT Field once again.
"Then we make that force ourselves! Shinji! With me!" Asuka yelled as she boosted high above ZERO's head, both her and Shinji doing a back flip as they fired their spike launchers by reflex.
The Third Child followed the Second, joining Unit 02's height before they both boosted downwards, right and left feet extended.
Asuka overlaid Unit 02's foot over Unit 01's as they slammed into the end of the Lance, legs parallel to the lance's position, sending it slightly deeper into ZERO's body.
The reaction was immediate. Mazinger ZERO reared its head back and screamed once again, eyes surging yellow and chest beginning to glow red. Its' grille shimmered white as the blades violently grew from its' wrists – now far larger and with much longer edges.
"It's going to use all attacks at once! Fall back! Fall back!" Professor Yumi warned.
"There's no time. AT Fields – steady." Rei managed to say as she made sure the other EVA pilots had once again gotten in formation behind her. Despite having the strongest AT Field, Unit 00 was worse for the wear, the orange armor charred and cracked from the extreme heat of enduring multiple waves of ZERO's heat ray.

"It's going to kill us all if we don't do anything!" Benkei yelled, looking at the Captain. "We're ready on our end!"
"Then we move up our timetable! Shin Getter Dragon - initiate the Shine Spark NOW!" Misato yelled.
"ROGER!" The three Getter pilots yelled.
Sho, Hayato, and Benkei shoved their feet on their pedals simultaneously.
Then Shin Dragon flexed backwards and flashed white, the strobe light illuminating the space they were in.
"Let's go, Commander Jin! Mr. Kurama!" Sho cried out.
"SHINE – SPAAAAAAAAAAAARK!"
She yelled with Hayato and Benkei as the entire bridge lit up, burning white as the Getter Rays concentrated throughout the entire ship.
Then they took off, Shin Dragon boosted forwards at great speed, ramming into ZERO's chest directly.
The large Super Robot groaned as its back was pushed into the portal and it struggled with the flagship, realizing just what was happening. Mazinger ZERO applied its' full strength as quickly as it could.
Dragon gradually slowed down as ZERO pushed against it, the sudden and point blank Shin Spark wearing off as ZERO's eyes narrowed.
"Your desperate attempt will end in failure. I have already faced several possibilities similar to this one."
"If that's the case – why are you trying so hard to fight back!" Sho responded.
ZERO's arms and the Iron Cutters within them were raised and ready to slam down on Shin Dragon.
Sho smirked as she had a countermeasure ready.
"Foresee this! DOUBLE TOMAHAWK!"
She cried out as the twin axes were caught and blocked ZERO's own. Despite the difference in size, Sho managed to hold off ZERO's downwards hammer blow with the gigantic Iron Cutters.
The entire form of Shin Getter Dragon shook as Sho blocked the attack. Shin Dragon's arms creaked as Sho kept up her grip on the Double Tomahawks.
The two titans pushed as neither one budged. From the bridge it was an unbelievable sight. Shin Dragon still shining with the energy from Shine Spark while Mazinger ZERO loomed over them, mouth swirling with a sparkling vortex that shone.
"Rust Hurricane again!?" Hayato asked, already worn out from the previous fighting.
"What do we do?!" Gai asked.
"VANISH – AS ALL OTHERS HAVE! RUST HURRICANE! "
The white vortex expanded from Mazinger ZERO's mouth and the entire crew prepared for the end.

"The crew of Shin Dragon . . . acted so I would live." Rei whispered as she could see Mazinger ZERO's attack about to hit.
Then she heard Naoko's voice from within Unit 00.
The First Child's eyes widened as she contacted Shin Getter.
She spoke with more urgency then she thought was in her as she contacted the second pilot.
"Kei, form Shin Getter-2. Use Drill Hurricane. If your calculations were right, you will have enough time - "
Then all Rei could do was listen as Kei heard her and cried out 'Change! Shin Getter 2!' and watched as the streamlined white Getter formed. Shin Getter 2 blasted off, heading towards the dimensional rift at speeds Rei could not track.
"We have to back them up with our hurricane attacks, Tetsuya!" Kouji urged, even though Great and Kaiser were no where near as fast as the Getter. Despite that, both Mazingers followed the Getter's path.

The wind funnel shot out, blowing towards Shin Dragon as the Getter was unable to dodge, still blocking ZERO's Iron Cutter.
"Become dust." ZERO uttered.
Then a white speck flew in front of Mazinger ZERO's face, Shin Getter 2 thrusting its' arm forward as its' pilot announced themself.
"Back atcha!" Kei yelled, the drill spinning rapidly on Shin Getter 2's arm.
"PLASMA! DRILL! HURRICANE!" She cried out as the Getter Ray laced winds crashed into ZERO's own, cutting it off before it could expand in volume.
The entire crew prepared to face the end as ZERO's mouth opened as wide as it could, the whirlwind of acid inside of it expanding as it was moments from firing again. Despite their best efforts, Shin Getter 2 wouldn't be enough to counter it. Misato clenched her fists knowing that they had to have a way out.
Then – a consecutive miracle happened.
"RUST TORNADO!"
"GREAT TYPHOON!"
From the right and left sides, Shin Getter 2 was flanked by the Mazinger Brothers, the two separate blasts of air joining Kei's own.
"Shin Getter and Double Mazingers! Against our united attack, even you'll feel fear! We're going to completely break through this damn attack if it's the last thing we do-!" Kouji yelled.
"That's right – we can't let the Getter Team take these kinds of hits when Mazinger is supposed to be the ultimate shield!" Tetsuya seconded.
The triple stream nullified ZERO's Rust Hurricane and it roared, eyes narrowing as its' mouth shimmered again.
"It's going for the same attack again – so let's do the same! Mazinger Team - this time take a play from us and attack right when I do!" Kei directed.
"Shin Dragon is giving your Mazingers as many Getter Rays as we can spare. That should be enough to counter ZERO's own Photon Power." Hayato said as Great Mazinger and Mazinkaiser had landed on the Dragon's bow, flanking Shin Getter 2, green lines surging from the Getter's hull up through the Mazingers' legs.
"Ready when you are, boys!" Kei said with a grin, drill at the ready as it rapidly spun.
"Drill Hurricane! - "
"Great Typhoon! - "
"and Rust Tornado combine to become!"
"- DYNAMIC STORM!"The pilots of the three machines yelled, releasing the blasts of wind all at once.
The three machines fired their attacks, merging together into a funnel of wind large enough to push against ZERO's. The attack broke through ZERO's own Rust Hurricane.
Zero was now stunned as its' chest was only halfway through the portal. It was completely stuck between dimensions now, the pull of the first one too great to attack again.
"Back Shin Dragon away! And keep hitting it! We have to end this NOW!" Misato urged.
"Getter Beam!" Sho yelled again as Dragon fired beams from both its' head and dragon mouth.
"Photon Beam!" Kouji seconded, piling on the damage as Tetsuya fired off Great's Drill Pressure Punch.
"EVA Team – form up! Now's the time to hit it with everything we can!" Misato urged.
"Shinji! Rei! Use the AT field as a slingshot! We can shoot something at it with enough force to make the difference!" Asuka said as Unit 02 flew by Shin Dragon.
"Sho! Can you open Shin Dragon's hands?" The pilot asked.
Sho did as Asuka suggested, the red EVA's pilot focusing her AT Field.
"OK mother, let's improvise here! EVA AT Field Tomahawk!" Asuka cried out.
Asuka's AT Field functioned as a catapult as the humongous Tomahawk shot forwards at great velocity.
Her attack hit, striking ZERO in the face. It bounced off but the Mazinger still was rattled by it.
"Dammit. Just missed the Pilder!" Asuka swore.
Mazinger ZERO roared again as Rei flew to the last of Dragon's Tomahawks.
"Shinji! The Kaiser Blade! Use the Kaiser Blade next!" Kouji yelled, Shinji scanning the area for the condensed Photon Particles. He found the blade that Kaiser had dropped and formed his own AT Field in front of the blade, adjusting it so it was facing ZERO.
Rei spoke to him as Unit 00 readied itself, the AT Field forming behind the Tomahawk. "Shinji. I will fire this as a distraction. Then you can attack the Pilder at will."
Rei fired the second gigantic Getter Tomahawk, the axe cleaving through space right at the Pilder. Mazinger ZERO bent its' head to the side to avoid the double sided axe.
"Then – just like Asuka did - ! Try this!" Shinji yelled, his AT Field firing the blade straight at ZERO, striking the Pilder just under where the Lance of Longinus had hit.

The sword made contact with Mazinger ZERO's brain and the Mazinger in question stopped for a moment, body going slack. Its eyes ignited yellow and it shrieked as it started regenerating from the damage dealt to it.
"Go get the Lance! I'll cover you guys!" Kouji yelled as the EVA team advanced towards Mazinger ZERO's body.
They were flanked by Kouji's Fire Blaster as ZERO screamed at it in annoyance.
Asuka joined him in removing Longinus from ZERO's Pilder, Mazinger ZERO shrieking as a jet black substance burst from the wound in large droplets.
Shinji flew back, passing the Lance back to Rei as Unit 00 raised her Pallet Rifle in her free hand.
"Longinus damaged something in ZERO's Pilder." Rei said, shooting at the puncture wound created by the Lance. Mazinger ZERO hissed and raised its' left hand, shielding the spot from the shots of the rifle.
"The remains of other Koujis ZERO has consumed." Rei stated. "I predict that destroying these – batteries – will drain a main source of ZERO's power."
Kouji was quick to voice his opinion on this. "Well I won't take offense to that plan! I'd rather die than be part of that thing forever!"
Kouji yelled as Mazinkaiser was able to wrest the Kaiser Blade free and reconnect it to his chest core.
"I'm going to hit it with this!"
"KAISER! NOOOOOVA!"
The symbol on Mazinkaiser's chest changed once again to the character for 'God' as it fired off the attack, Shinji and Asuka steering clear as ZERO had to endure the massive blast of heat and power.
Kouji yelled amidst his final attack, challenging ZERO yet again.
"ZERO! We're going to send you back! If we can't beat you right now with sheer strength – we'll make sure you can't come back! I won't let you continue to choose the path of devil for every other Z!"
"
Change, Shin Getter -1!" Go directed as Getter-3 changed into the red form again.
"Kei. Gai. Focus. Just like when we were fighting in Shin Dragon. Concentrate your power!" Go said as Shin Getter shot lighting from its' fingers, pooling together to create its' large sphere of energy.
"Then – with three hearts as one – STONER - ! SUN - ! SHINE - !" Go screamed as the ball of plasma struck ZERO right after Kaiser Nova abated, causing ZERO to shudder.
"Thats' a start, but individual attacks aren't enough – even on the level of Stoner Sunshine or Kaiser Nova! We need to hit it all at once!" Ritsuko said.
"Than let's keep it up!" Asuka said, boosting over Rei as she fired on the Pilder from a higher angle.
The EVA pilots moved around the flailing hand, firing their Rifles in formation, striking where the Lance hit earlier.

"Everyone, assist the EVA Team! Give them as many openings as possible" Misato cried out.
"Even if that Pilder doesn't have a pilot, it still must function as ZERO's brain! I'm guessing ZERO can function even without those other Koujis as parts. Follow where the EVAs are shooting!"
Yumi said as Great Mazinger and Mazinkaiser began charging the heat sinks on their chests. Shin Getter was right behind them as it fully charged the Getter Beam in its' abdomen.
"NO-! HOW CAN YOU STOP ME?! I AM CLEARLY MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU! - " ZERO roared as it now raised both hands to try and ward off all oncoming attacks.
"You made the mistake of coming to me and taunting me, ZERO." Kouji said. "That, and you underestimated humanity. You're not even at full power from what I saw – so you overplayed your hand long enough that we found a weakness! Now – it's time for you to leave our dimension!"
"It's regenerating the Pilder section. Hit it now!" Go cried out. Once again, Shin Getter Robo and the Mazinger Brothers acted as one.
"FIRE BLASTER!"
"BREAST BURN!"
"GETTER BEAM!"
Multiple AT Fields shot out at that moment, keeping ZERO's hands frozen for a moment as the three attacks hit.
The combined blast struck ZERO's head, and the wicked God screamed as it was enough to stun it.
"Yeah, you said we didn't belong here! - Yet we're sending you back!" Asuka taunted, looking down at ZERO as Unit 02's AT Field lashed out, forcing ZERO to block yet again even as it freed one of its' hands.

ZERO's right arm shot out towards Shin Dragon, the Rocket Punch stopping as Mazinkaiser rammed into it with a shoulder-tackle, the attack dislodging Kaiser Scrander from Mazinkaiser's back.
"Damn you! We're sending you back! ALL OF YOU BACK!" Kouji roared as he slammed his fists into the Mazin Power reserves.
Mazinkaiser grabbed the much larger Rocket Punch and was able to swing it around, spinning it until it was pointing directly at Mazinger ZERO.
"Now! To give you a last parting gift – courtesy of Zeus!" Kouji cried out as he let go of the fist, the Rocket Punch firing back through the rift and striking Mazinger ZERO in the chest.
Zero was already falling through the gap in dimensions – but the added momentum of its' own Rocket Punch sped things up. The Mazinger's eyes ignited yellow as its' grille shown white.
"Rust Hurricane? That won't save you now!" Kouji taunted as ZERO got further and further away.
Then he felt the pull of air as Mazinkaiser began rapidly approaching the very same rift.
Without a Scrander he had no way of getting back.

"What the hell is it doing to Kouji?" Benkei asked.
"It's reversing Rust Hurricane to try and pull him in! This is bad! Even if he's on the other side – he'll still be able to break through if he can absorb Kouji!" Ritsuko warned.
"I won't let that happen!" A voice yelled out as golden wings ignited and a purple and lithe frame grasped onto Mazinkaiser, holding it still.
"Shinji?!" Misato asked, shocked and concerned. He had saved Kouji – yet now both of them were dangerously close to the dimensional gap.
"Increase our speaker range! Get a lock on them! Asuka! Tetsuya! Getter Team! Get them both back here!" Misato ordered – even though she felt the orders were futile.

"Shinji – you're reckless this time!" Kouji chuckled even as EVA Unit 01 and Mazinkaiser stared down Mazinger ZERO. The Rocket Punch reconnected to its' arm as the Mazinger spoke again.
"IMPOSSIBLE. HOW CAN SOMEONE AS TIMID AS SHINJI IKARI FACE SOMETHING AS VAST AS I?!"
"That's easy!" Shinji yelled back.
"I want Kouji to be safe! Just like how Mazinkaiser and Kouji saved me and Unit 01 in the past – now its' my turn to do the same!"
"YOU – HOW ARE YOU HUMANS OVERCOMING MY HIGHER ORDER PREDICTIONS?!" ZERO snarled even as it passed through the dimensional rift, now unable to grasp their dimension.
Now Mazinger ZERO was hard to see – even at Kouji and Shinji's range. Yet they could see and hear enough to observe everything that happened next.
" - GETTER - ! BEEEEEEAAAAAAAAM- !"
A huge green flash erupted around Mazinger ZERO and the machine roared, pivoting to face the source of the attack. As it did so, Kouji and Shinji could see the massive ZERO Scrander upon its' back, the Mazinger's entire body now visible to both of them as ZERO's attacker came into view.
It had come from the unknown void – a huge, bulky crimson arm emerged from the dimensional space behind ZERO and swung forward, slamming into ZERO's grille and preventing Rust Hurricane from firing off.
"How can humans overcome your predictions?! Because your damn computers don't consider a factor as essential as human evolution!" A deep voice rang out as the huge Getter went on the attack.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Shinji asked.
"It's - a Getter!?" Kouji responded.
The arm pulled but ZERO resisted, grabbing onto it as it turned and pulled, revealing more of the figure.
It was the same overall size as ZERO, a dark red body with lime green lights and patterns etched onto its form. While Shin Getter was sleek and matched speed with power, this gigantic machine was all strength.
With a great pull, the massive Getter was able to pull the entirety of ZERO back, keeping it from approaching the spacequake's entrance.

From Shin Dragon's bridge, the crew could see ZERO grappling with the gigantic Getter, the two trading punches as the spacequake continued to warp, starting to obscure the two combatants.
"Whatever that Getter is, it looks like it's on the other side! Now we need to close that rift for good!" Ritsuko yelled out.
"Pilots – give it all you have! This is the last moment!" Yumi cried out.
"Now! Close it shut now!" Misato yelled as the Super Robots complied, the alliance of Super Robots and Evangelions joining Mazinkaiser and EVA Unit 01 on the edge of the rift.
"Once more - ! STONER SUNSHINE!" Go yelled.
"PHOTON BEAM!" Kouji seconded, the twin lances of yellow striking Stoner Sunshine and causing the ball of energy to expand even more.
"THUNDER BREAK!" Tetsuya finished, the arc of thunder joining the attack and making it grow greater still. The combination of the second Stoner Sunshine, Photon Beam and Thunder Break struck the rift.
Then the quake collapsed in a blinding flash of light, three AT Fields suppressing the explosion.
The space around them shook as the pocket dimension collapsed, the red mist and confined area shattering as they were surrounded yet again by familiar constellations.

Then it was quiet for a long, long time as Shin Dragon and the surrounding machines floated in space, unmoving.

Once again, perhaps the first time in a long time, the universe knew peace.
