Chapter 27 Captured
Kludd's POV
Two Days Later
Nes and I were outside the Pure Ones camp.
"So what's the plan", she asked.
Before I could answer...I heard this.
"Kludd!"
When I heard this I turned around...and gasped in shock.
Soren and his friends were flying up to us in guardian armour!
"Soren", I said in shock. "What are you doing here?"
"That's what I'd like to know."
With that I turned around...and saw another owl.
"Are you the guardian that was sent to follow Nes and I", I asked.
"How do you know that", the guardian asked.
"That doesn't matter", I stated.
"What are you doing here Soren", the guardian asked.
"I overheard Kludd and Nes say that they were going to try and overthrow Nyra themselves", Soren revealed.
"What", the guardian asked in shock before looking at me. "Is that true?"
"It is", I replied.
"Why would you do that Kludd", Soren asked.
"I can't just sit around and do nothing", I replied. "Look. I've done very terrible things, and I can't change that, but what I can do is do what I can to help out now."
"What about you Nes", the other guardian asked. "Why are you doing this?"
"Because I'm tired of living in fear of my mother", Nes revealed. "And I don't want anybody else to have to either."
"So what's your plan", the other guardian asked.
"Confront Nyra", I revealed.
"That's it", the other guardian asked in disbelief.
"It's not like we have many option with just the two of us", Kludd pointed out.
"It not just the two of you", Soren stated. "I'm going with you."
"No Soren", I commanded. "You're a father now. Your job is to be there for your girls."
"It's also my job to teach them", Soren pointed out. "And one thing I want to teach them is to stick together no matter what."
When Soren said this I looked at him in shock.
Then...I smiled.
However, that smile soon faded...when I heard this.
"Capture them!"
When I heard this I turned around...and did not like what I saw.
Standing in front of us was...Nyra and a bunch of Pure Ones!
I had to react quickly, so...I pinned Soren to the ground!
"What are you doing", he asked in shock.
"Play along", I pleaded before looking at the other Pure Ones. "Quickly! Pin them down!"
With that, I was forced to watch Soren's friends be pinned down by the Pure Ones.
However, I could not show how this was upsetting me.
"My queen", I started as Nyra flew up to me. "It looks like Soren and his little band of mates followed Vanessa and I here."
"It would appear so", Nyra said before looking at Soren. "Why hello there young guardian. What brings you here? Did you come to visit your brother?"
"I've come to do more than that", Soren revealed. "I've come to get him away from you!"
"Foolish boy", Nyra started. "Your brother has chosen to serve the Pure Ones. If only you could've done the same."
