guest first of all thanks for reading, second of all, they are jack bleeps and please do... Hi again another chapter...yep...uhu...ok baiiiiiii
Ling woke up about 9:15 she sat up immediately, she was woken up by a small sound it was a bit like notes, her ears twitched at the sound. She decided to investigate so she put up her hood and rapped her tail around her waist and put on her gloves, so she looked reasonably human, she still did not gain the trust of the others. Ling stood up and crept towards the door as quietly as she could, so she did not wake the human in the room. Once she was out of the room, she was led by her ears, the halls were unfamiliar and filled with an unfamiliar scent, so she was cautious. She found a door that seemed to be the cause of the sound. She did not understand the concept of doors so after a while of pulling pushing tapping and starring she slid the door open and found Zane playing the piano, he did not notice her come in and continued playing. Ling slid the door shut then looked around the room until the sound stopped and her eyes met Zane's. She backed up until her back met the wall, again she tried pulling at the door (you needed to push it). Do not worrie, I have no interest in harming you. She was not convinced so slid round the room keeping her distance.
What is this? Ling signed looking at the piano. He signaled for her to come, she hesitantly crept towards him still staying about two meters away. He pressed one of the keys and she starred in fascination. He smiled at her reaction then played a short piece. She cocked her head then he put out his hand flat and horizontal for her to compare each overs hand. She slowly walked towards the teen, who wanted her to take off her gloves. She then raised her hand then looked Zane in the eye. His eyes were pale blue and kind with streaks of a darker blue, he looked at Ling's hand then she did too. Ling sighed and while she shut her eyes tight, took off her gloves showing sharp claws and her hands were wrapped in a dirty bandage, but Zane did not even gasp. She gently pressed her hand against his, their hands were both cold. Ling's hands were a bit smaller and feebler looking then his, they were both pale, but Zane was paler and of Corse Ling had claws. They both looked each over in the eye and she drew away looking at her shaking hand.
You are not so different. Zane signed; she just stared in denial and signed: No, I am a hybrid nothing like a human then starred at the floor. Zane then touched her chin to lift it, she flinched away but he signed Well through my eyes you are Ling, a hybrid is not a human a human is bias and prejudice, and I am sorry this society does not approve of you but do not let them convince you, you are worthless. Ling was not sure; her entire life somebody said the same thing: she was not worthless but then why did humans treat her like she was? It was a tough subject and Zane knew that, so he went back to the piano. Ling followed but when her eyes met the book, I'll be right back.
Then she sped out of the room getting to the door pushing it then signed push then ran off leaving Zane to look at the piano book in front of him in confusion. She returned holding up a bag she had in her hands, she rustled through the bag, then took a recorder. She stood next to Zane and looked at the book. She gestured for him to play and he did once he started playing the jolly piece, she started to play her recorder and together then formed harmonies and rhythms that sounded exquisite!
The music travelled through the bounty waking everybody up pleasantly, they all crept out of their rooms and the boys met Nya outside the door that Zane and Ling were in they gave each over a confused look, then entered it quietly enough that only Ling heard them come in but she did not mind she was too dissolved by the music. The two musicians looked at each over and smiled another friendship had been made. The moment was interrupted when the others started to clap when they stopped playing. "Wow guys, you two were, like meant to be!" Jay squeaked while jumping up and down. They both blushed, but Zane's modesty brought him to sign: Who wants pancakes? The ninjas face lit up and they all (except Kai who was staring at his phone the whole time but secretly enjoyed the sounds) said in unison, "I DO!". They all left to the kitchen, leaving Zane and Ling. They both just smiled at each over then they too hurried off to the kitchen.
In the kitchen Ling was enthusiastic on helping Zane cook; in the end he gave in, but she wasn't so helpful not knowing her way around the kitchen in all. Ok can you get the oil from the side please he would sign before going deep in the fridge getting the milk, and when he turned around, she would be holding a banana out for him. Also, she was distracted easily by the new surroundings, she was especially enjoying the kettle. After the kafuffle, having a hybrid around was helpful: she had higher senses so she could smell when the pancakes were cooked, and she had better taste so surely it would be better. Ling was really enjoying herself, she sat on the side next to the oven and loved seeing Zane flip a pancake and when he did, she would smile broadly while bobbing up and down.
When the pancakes were done, they all sat up, but sensei didn't join them. Zane put the pancakes on the table and immediately streams of hands grabbed the pancakes. There was enough for everyone and even Zane ate one. Conversations broke out but Lloyd notice Ling was not eating, "Hey Ling you not hungry?" She just inched closer to Zane. Zane looked down at the hybrid starring at Lloyd. Don't worry you can trust him he signed going back to the conversation between himself and Cole. Lloyd looked back at the girl, "Wait, how old are you." Lloyd asked gently the room went quiet and Ling looked around wondering why it was silent. She did not mind telling them, what use would they have of her age. 12. The ninjas did not know how to react...so they didn't.
"Well, I'm 12 too." Ling did not respond. "Are you going to have some food?" Lloyd asked as the others went back to chatting. Not hungry, Lloydjust starred, he remembered she probably would have been starved, having no proper food supply. "Well try, you will need some energy." Ling looked at the pancake in front of her, she had never had something as luxurious as this. She took a tiny bite and enjoyed the taste and swallowed the small piece. Lloyd did not question the hybrid. Lloyd thought about the situation then something clicked in his mind. He needed to talk to the others after breakfast. "By the way, you don't need to hide yourself from us." Lloyd said indicating to her hood.
When everyone had finished Lloyd gathered everyone on deck besides Ling and Zane who were washing up. "Why do you want us here I was planning on going shopping." Kai said rolling his eyes. The others nodded muttering lightly. "I brought you all here because our new little friend..." Lloyd started until Jay interrupted "Has a tail! Have you seen it wasn't it awesome?" Jay rambled pushing past Cole who had face palmed. Everyone went silent and frowned at Jay. "Sorry." Jay whispered looking at his shoes. "As I was saying," Lloyd continued, "Ling needs to earn our trust if she's going to stay with us." The others thought until Nya said, "But how?" The others looked back at Lloyd who seemed to be struggling talking, "W-Well um I UM" He said tapping his head, "Ugh can we please hurry up the shops will close in a few hours!" Kai huffed looking at his watch.
Lloyd smiled a genuine smile then looked at Kai. "Take her." Lloyd whispered. Kai just looked at the blonde flabbergasted. "What!?" Kai screamed and at that moment Ling came running out of the door to the hall and Zane came too, looking a little out of breath and soaked in water. Cole walked up to him about to say something when Zane signs: She does not like water. Cole looked at Zane and laughed, "I'll get you a towel." and they both walked down the hall. The others looked to the way Ling ran. Jay was the one to find her looking at a grasshopper that would probably have climbed aboard (they had landed in a field near a forest). "Hey, Kai would love to go shopping with you, besides you need a few things." Jay shrugged as Ling looked up at him. "Hey no I did-uuum," Lloyd nudged him, "Yes I would like that." He said fake smiling.
Ling looked at the human in red then got up and crept towards him like she did to Zane. She circled him sniffing his hand. She stood in front of him and looked at his awkward face then nodded. "Great! But you will need a disguise, can you lend her your gi Jay, she'll just look like a fan." Lloyd smiled looking at Jay. "On it." said taking Ling by the hand, heading towards his room. The others scattered off to do their own thing but, on his way out to get together, Kai threw a pen he had in his pocket at Lloyds head but he missed and hit Nya who punched him once again.
