"There." Jay said looking at the girl in his gi Infront of him (it was clearly too big). Her tail was wrapped around her waist and hid under her shirt and her ears were just two bumps on her head covered by the hood, she clearly knew how to hide her limbs. She sniffed the cuffs of the sleeves but was stopped by Jay, she growled lightly. "N-n-n-n-no, if you want this to be believable, you are gonna have to act more human." She nodded sighing slightly. At that moment Kai entered "Alright let's get this other and done with." Jay nudged a slightly anxious Ling towards a slightly annoyed Kai.
They walked down the hall together awkwardly until they got off the bounty and were bid a due by the others and watched as Kai helped Ling get into the car. Kai got in and showed Ling a seatbelt. Ling watched in awe as he to clicked on his seatbelt. "Alright here we go!" he said speeding over the grass which soon turned to road. Kai was a more reckless driver then the others, so when he sped towards the city on the country road Ling had a similar reaction Zane did to the roller coaster apart from the fact when Kai opened the windows she really enjoyed the chill wind floating through the car.
After a few minutes of dangerous driving they made it to the shopping center. They stood at the entrance and slid past the security guard without notice and went towards the nearest cloths shop. Inside was airconditioned and was filled with a white interior, mirrors were scattered around, and the shop was divided into five parts: Women, men, children, shoes and hats there weren't too many people around, it was quite quiet. Kai headed towards the men section pulling ling by the hand. He browsed for a bit then sighed. "Ugh they don't have any in red." Ling looked at him and pointed towards a red t-shirt that said 100% hot 😉. Kai walked towards it enthusiastically and Ling followed. He picked up the t-shirt, "Cool! Think I should try it on?" Ling just stared at him (of Course Kai did not know if she was smiling or not because she had her hood up).
In the end, Kai couldn't be bothered to try it on, relied on the size tag and headed towards the kids' section holding the end of Ling's sleeve. "Alright what do you want?" Kai asked pointing towards a variety of jumpers. Ling looked at his finger walked towards the jumpers and sniffed each one. "Ok no. Ling remember the plan," He whispered avoiding the attention of the lady who was staring at them in disgust, and Ling straitened her back (she probably didn't know how to act human", ok? Hmmm I think that you would look good in this?" Kai picked up a pastel green jumper with various studio Ghibli characters on it. The hybrid nodded not sure about this human. "Ooo and this..." Kai started to run around the shop styling Ling and kinda enjoying it. Ling started to enjoy Kai's presence and his help.
Once they got to the third shop, they had gotten pretty much all they needed: Ling now had proper boots, a few t-shirts, two hoodies some leggings even a turquoise bandana etc. and kai got pretty much the same apart from the fact he needed (wanted) just some trainers. They went inside the shoe shop and Kai had red trainers with white logos on each side. "Cool eh?" Kai says ginning willingly, Ling nodded admiring the black laces of his shoes. At that moment two fan girls came up to Kai, the brunette said excitedly, "Hi, um are you one of the ninjas?" Kai looked at the girls and lit a fire ball in his hand and winked, "I am." The brunette screamed, "OMG, I told you Stella, it is Kai." She said to the short girl with purple hair next to her who looked like she was about to burst with excitement. "Hey, can I get a selfie." The purple haired one squealed holding up her phone.
Ling at this point was oblivious to the situation and had her eye on a sign that said 'moon way point' which was a forest grown with a clearing for stargazing, but she did not like these teenagers. Once the selfie was taken the one with purple hair, looked at the photo," Thanks heh heh, hey wait who's that?" She said turning around to see a small girl in a ninja costume. Kai stepped in front of the confused hybrid, "She's a member of the fan club and she won a-ummm something that allows her to go to the shops with her favorite ninja." Kai ranted trying to seem sincere. The two fan girls looked at each over in disbelief and the brunette stated," Janette is that you? What happened to your eye? We're members of the fan club by the way AND HAVE YOU SHRUNK?!" Ling remained quiet frowning at the tall girl in front of Kai. "Wait a minute, this is an imposter!" The purple haired one shouted getting the attention of a thew people in the shop.
They pushed Kai out of the way, Ling watched him stumble back into the counter and she felt anger take over her body she now trusted and liked Kai. It all went in slow motion from there, the one with purple hair reached for Lings hood and as she began to pull in down and discover what that thing really was, Ling growled a low growl and what Kai didn't see that she closed her eyes for 5 seconds or so and when she opened then they were no longer normal but cat like then she bit the human in front of her and the human let out a blood curdling shriek "HYBRID!" the brunette screamed slightly traumatized and kicked the hybrid away from her now bleeding friend and sent Ling flying into a wall (she was wearing stilettos, so Ling was bleeding too)!
The shop manager pressed a button that set off an alarm and said to Kai, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING DON'T JUST STAND THERE ARE YOU A NINJA OR WHAT?" He stood there a little flabbergasted then shook his head then grabbed Ling from the screaming teen and ran out of the shop dodging the civilians. At this point he was being chased by a few security guards; Kai tried to hide his identity by hiding his face, but it was hard to do this while carrying three bags of cloths and a hybrid struggling slightly (but she was quite small and lite and her eyes no longer cat-like). When he got to the car, they both clambered in and Kai zoomed as fast as he could. He looked back to see if anyone was following but no, he laughed a laugh of relief and slight disbelief.
The others were at home chilling when Jay ran into the kitchen where everyone was, "GUYS, come see this!" The others looked at each over a little confused but followed Jay to the living room where the news was on the television and the reader was saying, "There has been an outbreak at the shopping center east Ninjago where an infant snow-leopard hybrid but we do know a young adult wearing red was accompanying the hybrid that bit and assaulted an innocent teen, they are not human they are dangero-" Cole turned it off before it got any worse. "Uh oh." Cole said turning towards the others.
They heard a car screech outside, and they all ran on deck. They ran out of the car and climbed on deck Kai needed to lean on Cole. "You guys ok?" Nya asked worried. Kai and Ling just started giggling, "That...was...AWESOME!" The others looked at each over again in confusion as Kai explained what happened roll playing as well, they had never seen Kai so ecstatic. "Well I'm glad you guys are ok now but like HOW?!" Cole said looking at the Kai and Ling in front of him. "I just said, there were fan girls who just you know uncovered us." Kai said, "Wait but that means they'll know that you were with them." Lloyd clarified crossing his arms. Kai just stared," Uh oh."
Meanwhile, somewhere in Ninjago a man was asking two teenagers (one with brown hair the other purple) questions about the event in a dark room. "A NINJA WAS WITH THEM! I'VE BEEN LIVING A LIE AND ALL YOU'RE SAYING IS THESE THINGS HAPPEN?" the brunette said to the man with circular sunglasses. "Give me your shoe young lady." he said looking at the brunette. "Huh why?" she replied, "I said gimme the darn shoe!" he said shouting at the teens. He put the small quantity of the blood from the shoe into a test tube. "Very good now drink this." He said handing them a blue liquid. "What no?!' They both said. "I SAID DRINK IT." he said slamming his hands down on the table and they drank it intimidated by the man. Almost immediately after they both fell unconscious." That'll make them forget it heh." he mumbled to himself leaving the room with the blood in a test tube. "Send this to the lab." he said passing it to a man who ran off to the east wing. While the man in sunglasses walked down a corridor to a wide window looking into a prison like room many meters long.
The ninjas were all arguing with each over, Kai Cole and Nya all shouting while Zane and Jay tried to calm them down. Ling and Lloyd were watching the situation unravel when Ling realized she was bleeding and in pain, she knew what to do but she needed a few things from her home she made, but that was miles away now. She brought up all her courage and limped towards Lloyd. Lloyd felt a gentle tap on his shoulder and his eyes met Ling, "Oh hey what's up?" he asked calmly ignoring the shouting next to him. Ling smiled relieved the green human didn't attack and pointed at her side to indicate her injury. When Lloyd saw this, he kind of freaked out "GUYS." None of them heard the small shout of Lloyd and he didn't want to get involved with this and helped Ling to Sensei's room.
Wu was in him meditative state until he heard a small nock on the door, "Come in." he said in a calm voice. Lloyd slid the door open clumsily and started to walk in, but Ling did not follow she lent on the frame and looked at the man and then the one in green and then the old man again, "Don't worry you can trust him, he's my uncle." Lloyd said sitting next to Wu. She looked into his dark gentle eyes and stumbled in. "What is wrong nephew?" Sensei asked calmly. Lloyd was about to say something when he helped Ling sit down, "She got injured on her side." Lloyd said as Ling pulled up the oversized shirt and her tail was still wrapped around her waist and that was bleeding too (it was mostly her tail; her side was just scrapped badly and bled a little).
She unwrapped her tail then looked at Lloyd then Sensei still holding the tail covered with blood. "Hmm, Lloyd, take her to the bathroom and help her clean her tail, I'll get the bandages." Wu mumbled smiling peacefully at Ling who just stared in amazement, these people really wanted to help, she hadn't used clean bandages since before she went into hiding. Lloyd got up and helped up Ling, they both bowed at Lloyd said quickly," Yes Sensei. Lloyd then escorted Ling to the bathroom.
At the bathroom Lloyd locked the door then showed Ling the sink, she looked at Lloyd then the sink, "You never used a sink before." Lloyd asked cocking his head, Ling just shook her head looking and starred at the sink. "Ok." Lloyd whispered. He turned on the sink and that jump scared Ling, but she came back and gave Lloyd her tail hesitantly. He ran it under the warm water as Ling gritted her teeth, it was nowhere near as bad as the worst pain she's been through, but it still stung. Lloyd continued to gently wash of the blood from her tail until it was cleaner than before, Lloyd then dried her tail and they silently walked back to Sensei's room.
Wu was already ready and waiting when Lloyd gently slid open the door, he signaled for Ling to come near; she looked up at Lloyd (who was slightly taller than her), he nodded and she slowly inched closer to the old man with the kind eyes. She gave him her tail and he slowly rapped the bandage over her tail, he then attempted to put a plaster on her side, but she flinched away slightly startled by the elders move. Eventually they succeeded in helping the hybrid girl and Lloyd and Ling thanked him before they went upstairs, to leave Sensei with his thoughts.
When Lloyd and Ling were about to go to on deck where the others last were, when Ling stopped and bowed, thank you she signed to Lloyd who was startled. "Y-your welco-come." He stuttered, he was surprised, she seemed so, well, ashamed. Ling continued walking as Lloyd stood still for a bit then followed.
On the deck the air had cleared a little, Kai and Cole were giving each over death stares while training with Jay who seemed a little frustrated by the tension, Zane was cooking, and Nya was in her room reading. When Jay spotted Lloyd and Ling, he ran up to them, "Hey guys your lucky you missed the kafuffle as you might call it, well it was more of an argument, anyways where'd you guys go Zane and I were worrying?" He said all in one breath. "Oh Ling hurt her tail in the shopping trip earlier." Ling showed the bandage on her tail. "You good now?" Jay asked crouching to her level (even though Jay was reasonably short). She nodded looking at the floor.
Later at dinner, everyone (including sensei) was discussing teaching Ling," Ok so, Zane will teach Ling: Cooking and music, Nya: Hygiene and Engineering, Cole: Basic skills like tying shoelaces or using chopsticks, Kai: Survival skills and Style?" Jay started, when Kai said," Yeah, style is essential to learn, who could live without it?" Everyone looked at Kai," What?" Jay continued," Anyways, Lloyd will teach her how to read and right, I will teach Ling engendering as well and math's and Sensei will teach her fighting alongside Lloyd, but we will all help demonstrate etc. with fighting. Any questions." He finished looking around the room. "We will need to make a timetable or something, right?" They nodded and, in the end,, Nya volunteered to do write it.
Soon after everyone went to bed.
