Kyu wiped her fingers off as she slid her panties back up. She'd enjoyed the pictures Aiko had sent her, a surprising Christmas present, and hoped Aiko'd like the video she was getting in return. Tossing her phone onto the bed, she returned to her challenge. A growing pile of outfits and dresses, all rejected for the party. She held up the next one as she checked the mirror. The sweeping hem of the little red number stopped just below her knees, far longer than anything she'd normally wear. Kyu mulled it over for a minute before throwing onto the heap, it was far too stuffy for her tastes. More and more joined it, she wasn't just being picky, she needed everything to be perfect.

A flash of neon blue caught her eye. Fishing out the source revealed a simple shimmering gown of blue and pink, old fashioned by fairy standards, but rather nice to the humans. With a click of her fingers she was dressed, adjusting the skirt to a suitable length halfway up her thigh. She gave a small spin in the mirror.

"Can't go wrong with the Sugar Plum look."

Satisfied with the outfit she hovered through to the living room, letting her hair sort itself into a pair of neat pigtails on top of her head. Warm smells of sugar and roasted meats filled the air. On instinct she followed them through to the small kitchen, where a frail looking man wheeled himself about, managing to keep everything in check at once. She watched him for a second before landing back on the ground. It was an amazing transformation from the gloomy, depressed puddle she'd been sent to mentor. His face lit up as he saw her.

"Well don't you look lovely today! Very bright, catches the eye."

She waved her hand, letting a magical breeze ruffle her dress slightly.

"Dude, I always look lovely, I just don't let most of you monkeys see me!"

He just chuckled at her. Even he'd scrubbed up pretty well. Clean black pants with a button up shirt and his mousy brown hair pulled back into a small ponytail. It wasn't very formal, but it would be enough. Kyu hopped onto his lap as the wheels on his chair clacked along.

"So, how's everything coming?"

She stroked his hair gently, careful to not get in the way of the cooking. He kissed her cheek softly.

"All the meat's done, it's just in the oven to keep warm. The vegetables and sides are in serving bowls ready for the table, and the cake's in the fridge. It's all ready, just waiting on the lady of the hour."

She breathed a sigh of relief. Despite Kyu's generally easygoing attitude she'd been stressing for over a week. Knowing that they'd done everything they could was a load off her mind.

"You'd better wash your hands before she gets here."

She ran her fingers down the side of his face.

"And why is that?"

He turned his head to kiss her knuckles.

"Because I could smell them the second you floated into the room. I'm guessing Aiko sent you a little present?"

He continued kissing and licking at her fingers. He could probably still taste her a little bit.

"Fine. I'll wash up then get Belle ready."

He moved his mouth to hers, letting their tongues play together. Yep, she could definitely taste herself on his lips.

"She's already set. I got her dressed before I started in the kitchen."

Kyu glanced over at the high chair by the table. A happy little baby sat in a white dress, stacking blocks together, her pink-streaked brown hair done up in fluffy pigtails. Kyu rinsed her hands in the sink before hovering over and sweeping the small girl up in her arms. The doorbell made her jump, gripping the child close to her chest.

"Adam, they're here! Are you sure I look okay?"

He fixed her with a grin.

"Absolutely stunning. Now go, you know she doesn't like to be kept waiting."

She bounced the girl in her arms as she floated through to the front door, swallowing at the green smudge she could see through the frosted glass. As far as Kyu was concerned, everything was set up perfectly. She just hoped the family Christmas party was enough to please a genuine goddess.
