The small kitchen buzzed with activity as Lola hummed to herself. Some people dreaded the challenge of cooking, but she thoroughly enjoyed the freedom that it gave her. Recipes had clear goals, objectives to be reached and surpassed. For Lola, each new flavour she produced, each new dish she mastered, was another trophy to add to her ever growing repertoire. Her culinary wonderland was interrupted by an increasingly panicked Jessie.
"Does this one look okay? Not too slutty?"
Her needlessly fretting host gave a small spin, showing off the neat little red dress trimmed with warm white fur. Red and green striped stockings ran down her legs, into a pair of buckled black leather booties. It was by all means an adorable sight, one that Lola could happily savour all evening. Lola swept up a spare santa hat from the table, setting it on Jessie's bleached blond hair at a jaunty angle.
"You look fine. Sexy as always, but definitely not slutty, so stop worrying."
The gorgeous woman still fidgeted nervously. She'd been running around all day, determined to make everything perfect.
"You're sure it's not too much?"
Lola planted a quick kiss on her girlfriend's lips. She could understand why Jessie was so set on the ideal Christmas, but there really wasn't anything left to worry about. The house was decorated, the table laid, all Lola had to do was serve the meal she'd been working on.
Before she could whisper any more words of comfort the doorbell sounded, drawing a surprised cry from Jessie.
"They're here! Lola, they're here!"
"Go and answer it then. I'll get everything dished up."
She gave Jessie a slap on the ass, sending her on her way. Left to her precious kitchen once again, Lola could set the table exactly how she wanted. Dishes of assorted vegetables were set out for their guests to help themselves, a large gravy boat sat in the center of the table, various cooked meats were spread out to pick at, and the turkey sat in front of Jessie's spot ready for carving. She stepped back to admire her handiwork for a minute, before the evenings company bounced excitedly into the room.
"Hey Lola! It's been so long."
Tiffany threw her arms around her. It was a strange relationship between the two of them. To Tiffany she was the woman who slept with her mother (among others), but she was much closer to Tiffany's age than Jessie's. Lola knew she would never be a mother figure to the young girl, but that didn't bother either of them. They were still on rather good terms.
"You should visit more, then! Nice to see you as well Jay."
The giant boy blushed as he entered, more than likely from Jessie hanging on his arm. He was completely devoted to Tiffany, but no mortal could hope to resist Misty Peaks' legendary charm. He gave a friendly nod before breaking free and sliding next to Tiffany, using his girlfriend as a shield. It didn't help much, as Jessie pulled her daughter into the biggest hug possible, burying her face in a valley of boob.
"Oooooh, I'm so glad my baby could join us!"
The poor girl's reply was muffled in the soft flesh, but it sounded positive. Lola tossed more santa hats on the newcomers as they took their seats, her own head adorned with antlers to go with her slim fitting reindeer dress.
"How was the drive over Tiff?"
Bright blue eyes sparkled up at her. It always amazed Lola how much of Jessie she could see in the girl sometimes, they both had that gleam in their gaze.
"It was lovely! The snow always makes everything so pretty."
Both of the older women smiled gently. Lola wondered just how Jessie was keeping herself calm. This was all that she'd wanted after all, a normal Christmas dinner with her daughter. She passed around fizzing champagne flutes (and an apple juice for Jay, he was driving) as she made her way behind Jessie's chair.
"Well, get ready. The best bit's just getting started."
Lola leant over Jessie's shoulder, helping her with the large carving knife. It was tradition that the head of the house cut the meat, even if she needed a skilled helping hand every now and then.
