AN:/ Hey guys, I'm back. Sorry for the long wait. Exams came and went on a mini vacation and taking two summer classes. I had to change the chapter title because Murcielago wanted me to write his experience first so here it is. Enjoy and have so laughs.
Chapter 26: Murcielago's First Plane Ride
It was the day before Orihime would have to leave for Italy. She had to text her manager about getting another ticket for Murcielago. Orihime went upstairs in the master bedroom to get two big suitcases for her and Murcielago. She placed them on her bed and turned to see that her little guy wasn't next to her.
"Where did he go?" Orihime asked herself.
Mentioning Murcielago, he was in the basement staring at the nearly finished project. He wandered his little self in and imagined what it was going to look like when complete. The room was still in construction so there was nails, wood chips, electrical tools, loose wires and saws on the floor. He didn't hear Orihime calling him, or coming downstairs, but he did notice her when she picked him up for the ground.
"Murcielago what do you think you're doing down here in this room? Orihime asked. "I was really worried that something happened to you."
"I wanted to see how it's going to look like before it's finished," Murcielago exasperated. He really didn't understand why Orihime was being overprotective, he could heal himself from any injury in this gigai.
"Can't you wait until it's done?" Orihime asked.
"No, I'm too excited to even wait," Murcielago whined.
"Well, even if you're excited or not you can't come in here. It's dangerous for a child to be in here," said Orihime.
"Why?"
"Because you can get a splinter by the wood chips, get cut from the electrical tools, and you can get electrocuted by the wires," Orihime explained. She picked Murcielago up and carried him back upstairs to continue packing for Milan. Murcielago laid his head on her shoulder and pouted. Orihime placed him on the bed and started getting clothes to put in the suitcase. She saw Murcielago pouting with his arms crossed. She giggled at his childish display, but then she remembered that he was only a kid. She turned to look at him with a wonder gaze.
"What's wrong?" Orihime asked. She stopped what she was doing and sat down next to him. Murcielago was still pouting, but his head was turned away from Orihime's gaze.
"Murcielago, what's wrong? You can tell me anything," Orihime said tenderly. Murcielago glanced at her with curiosity and unknowing. He didn't want to tell her that he did not like it when she treats him like a little kid; even though he looks like one; that's beyond the point. He's a powerful being that can destroy anyone and anything in his path.
"I don't like it when you treat me like a weak child," he mumbled. Orihime tilt her head to the right with confusion shining through her eyes.
"What do you mean by that Murcielago? You are a kid," Orihime asked. Murcielago sighed and plopped down on the bed thinking about how to explain to her about the way she unnoticeable treat him.
"I like the way you treat me Hime-chan, I really do but I feel suffocated sometimes when it comes to little things you do," he explained, "I know I have a child's body and act like a child but sometimes I want to be treated as an equal. While the master is away I need to be the man of the house and I want you to know that."
Orihime was silent for awhile complicating what Murcielago had said. In some sense he was right, she has been treating him like a kid, but he was so cute that she couldn't help it. But Murcielago looked so determined about this so she relented and decided to give him what he wanted.
"Okay, I'll try to treat you more like the man in the house while Ulquiorra-sama is away but when he's back or when we're out with Janette I get to treat you like a kid again," Orihime said. Murcielago weighed his options and he agreed. He loves being spoiled by the two women and he didn't want to lose that at all. Besides he gets candy for being a good boy.
"Okay, deal." They shook hands and Orihime went back to packing while humming a pretty tune. Murcielago sat and watched Orihime packing both their luggage with a happy smile.
'She must be really excited to be going to this 'Milan, Italy' place,' Murcielago thought with a growing smirk.
He started looking around bed to lay his eyes on a brochure with title MILAN in bold letters. Leaning over on the bed and grabbed the brochure so he could check it out. He opened first the flap and saw pictures of different buildings of different colors, styles and 's eyes widened from wonder and fascination. Orihime was too busy packing for the trip that she didn't notice Murcielago oohing and ahhing at the different pictures on the brochure.
"I want to go here and here; ooh and I got to try there too," he said. Grabbing a pen out of Orihime's purse, Murcielago started marking the places he wanted them to go. Orihime smiled and continued packing for tomorrow's departure.
Night had fallen and Orihime was coming back inside the house from putting the bags in her car's trunk. She went upstairs to her room to see Murcielago lying down on the bed like a starfish snoring silently and the pamphlet was still in his hand wide open to where he left off. She lightly giggled, went to the bathroom to change in her pj's and came back into the room. Orihime started pulling the covers back, she gently lifted Murcielago up, tucked him in and joined him under the covers.
"Night MurMur," she kissed Murcielago on the forehead. A little snore came out and Orihime smiled. She grabbed her phone and sent a text to Ulquiorra before she went to close her was morning and Orihime and Murcielago was on the their way to the airport. Murcielago was sitting in the backseat marking places he wanted to go in the MILAN brochure, Orihime was driving and talking to her manager Anthony Kane on the car's phone.
"Your schedule is going to be a little tight for the next couple of days but that means you can explore Milan with Murcielago and shop," Kane explained, "For the first day, you have to model for Rosato, Ralph Lauren, Omega, Loro Piana and Vierre; a photo shoot with Mario Buccellati Melegari e Costa and Sécret Pon Pon."
"That's just the first day!" Orihime said in shock. "Yes but your second day is a lot more. The second day you will be doing two photo shoots for Gucci and Miu Miu and 5 makeup commercials. By the way, what kind of make do you use?"
"I don't wear a lot of makeup but I do use Zuii Organic," Orihime answered, "why?"
"Because you'll be doing their makeup commercials and have a trail to be their sponsor," Anthony explained.
"Really? That's awesome. That makes everything worth it now," Orihime cheered. Murcielago smiled at her through the rear view mirror. Anthony chuckled at his client's excitement.
"Well, with you now excited I'll let you drive to the airport safely. See you soon."
"Alrighty, bye," Orihime said gleefully.
After hanging up the car phone, Orihime and Murcielago already arrived at airport in record timing. She parked the car in the traveling parking lot, turned it off, hurried and got Murcielago out of his car seat, opened the trunk, grabbed their bags, took Murcielago's hand and they both walked towards the entrance after locking the car and setting the alarm.
"Okay MurMur, stay close to me. I can't let you get lost in this big airport." Orihime told him. She was remembering the time when she went on her first job and got lost in the airport. It was really terrifying since she only knew a little English and no one seemed to help her but while she was in New York, she taught herself English with the help by her manager Anthony, who also knows how to speak Japanese."Okay," Murcielago agreed. They were inside the airport and was now walking towards the baggage claim. Murcielago was looking around the place with excitement. It was his first time at an airport and it was BIG.
"Wow, this place is huge." Orihime smiled and nodded with agreement.
"It is huge, isn't it? It kind of reminds me of Hueco Mundo," Orihime replied.
Murcielago nodded. Murcielago kept looking around and had an urge to explore the place but he has to wait when they stop. Which wasn't that long, since they've arrived at the baggage claim. There was a long line because of there was only two employees at the desk. Orihime sighed and looked at the clock on the beam next to her. It read 8:30 am and their flight's at 9:15.
"It's going to be a long wait," Orihime thought.
Orihime and Murcielago waited and waited and waited. Murcielago wanted to go have an adventure in but his legs were getting sore from standing so long. He turned to Orihime and raised his arms up. Getting the gist of what he wanted Orihime bent down and heaved him up on her hip while they continued to wait for the line to move. The line finally started moving and it was moving really fast and it was already Orihime's turn.
"Finally," she whispered softly. After paying at the baggage claim, they went on their way to the security check.
"Here we are," Orihime announced with relief.
They just arrived at the security check. Orihime removed Murcielago from her hip and started taking off anything that she had that was metal and she did the same to Murcielago and put it in the buckets. She went through the detector and motioned Murcielago to come. After putting their stuff back on, Orihime grabbed Murcielago and place him on her hip once more and jogged to the gate for Milan, Italy. She got her phone and showed the attendant lady her tickets and went to find her seats.
"Aah, my legs hurt," Orihime exasperated after sitting down. Murcielago was on her lap and had his head resting on her chest resting his eyes and legs. Orihime sighed and placed her sore arms around his frame. She gently placed him in the seat next to her, buckled him up safely, did her own seat belt and went to sleep.
The jolt of the plane woke Murcielago up from his nap. He saw Orihime was still asleep. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, Murcielago began looking around the unfamiliar place. There were a lot people sleeping, had headphones on, on laptops doing some paperwork or playing games, writing in journals or reading books.
"Aren't they afraid that they might die from a 1.32 million lbs machine?" Murcielago wondered.
Taking his eyes away from the passengers, Murcielago unbuckled his seat belt, gazed at Orihime to see if she was awake. Seeing that she wasn't he got up and went on his merrily way to tour around the plane. He found the bathroom but it stank from people using it and there was no freshener. He could see the bacteria crawling in there. A disgust frown showed on his face and he went on his way.
Murcielago found himself inside the cargo. It was filled in different sections but the amount of stacked bags seemed endless. Murcielago journeyed his way around the cargo and to his left he saw crates with dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, iguanas, parrots, lions, kangaroos, tigers, elephants, jaguars, wolves, giraffes and zebras in them.
"Why are you in crates?" Murcielago asked them. The animals whimpered when he came closer and they scooted back from uncertainty. Murcielago tilted his head and smiled.
"I know, I should let you guys free from this imprisonment and run wild," he said enjoying his idea. Murcielago went and opened all the doors.
"There, now you guys can roam around freely," he smiled.
The animals slowly but cautiously went out their crates and started trotting his idea was good it wasn't great. The animals were fine at first but when you're around unfamiliar animals that have deadly auras you will get on the defense and that's what happened. Growls and cawing were going sounded around the room. Murcielago smiled and decided to leave before the massacre happens. He left the cargo and went to the front. The flight attendants saw him and thought he was lost from the group touring the cockpit so she grabbed his hand and directed him towards the cockpit. Murcielago and the lady arrived at the cockpit at the part where the captains were letting the kids and some of the adults to try to fly the plane. Murcielago was getting excited so he got in line to try it out. It was his turn after five people before him went.
"Okay, it's your turn little guy," said the captain.
He picked Murcielago up and place him in his lap and put on the communication headphones on him too. Murcielago excitedly placed his hands on the wheel. The captain was giving him instructions about how to work the wheel, the dashboards and the mic but Murcielago was only half listening and wanted the captain to unlock the wheel so he could fly it. The captain finished giving instructions and unlocked the wheel.
"Yay," he cheered. The Murcielago Party Plane was about to begin.
Murcielago pulled the wheel back and the plane flew straight up. The captain, co-captain, the flight attendants, children, the passengers and the animals in the cargo was forced back and started screaming. Murcielago was smiling with glee then he turned the wheel to the left and the plane started to twirling really fast.
"Y-y-y-you can s-t-to-o-o-op now," the captain stammered. But Murcielago couldn't hear him so he pushed the wheel and the plane went down at fast speed. He turned the wheel to the right and the plane twirled again. Everyone, except for Orihime; who was still asleep while this was going on; was lifted out of their seats from the down incline. Murcielago was laughing with glee and fun while the screams were still going on.After having his fun, Murcielago pulled the wheel back to fly straight their destination to Milan, Italy. The captain and the co-captain were too scared to drive again so Murcielago continued flying it all the way. When they arrived to their destination, Murcielago flew down, got off the captain's lap and went back to his seat in coach. Orihime was just waking up from her nap.
"Did we land already?" she asked after rubbing her eyes and yawning.
"Yup," Murcielago said. Orihime stretched and got off the plane with Murcielago.
"We should do this again but with Ulquiorra-sama," Murcielago said to Orihime.
"I agree. Did you like your experience on an airplane?"
"Yes, I did."
