A/N:While I am not the one to include OCs to fanfic, I felt that this was the appropriate time to do so for the story to make sense. Also, please note that there will be some OOC parts here and there.Thank you for reading, that is all.

The day was beautiful, the clouds sat idly within the sky and carried behind them the big bright sun— birds were chirping amongst themselves in their perches, and like any other day the workers muted; too submerged in their own bubbles of paper to notice much of difference around them. The train carried them in it's own motion as always, the movement soothing to their feet when they had stopped walking. It was a peaceful day actually in City A, strangely enough.

A woman stood in one of the high balconies of the building, overlooking the nice view of the city below and the ocean across it. Steam came off from the cup held in her right hand, though she wasn't bothered by the fume when she sipped from her cup and instead relished in the hot sensation that rolled down her throat. She sighed with a satisfied 'aah' before a small smile graced her lips in response.

The woman stared at the view before her for a few more minutes before she looked at her phone from her other hand; scrolling through websites and news pages filled with today's banter. Suddenly, her reading was interrupted by a call just as she was about to scroll for the next paragraph, with a sigh she pressed the button and put her phone to her ears.

"Yeah? " the woman asked, voice a little bit raspy— it was the association calling in. "I'm not doing anything for now at least, just get on with the point. "She said non-committally, her smile had faded for a while now. The heroine listened closely to the voice in the other line as she sipped more of her coffee, but longer this time; "A level Demon huh? Where is it? " she waited for a few seconds when static took over for a bit, leaning her head away from the disturbing noise before the line had finally cleared.

The lady had already stopped the call when she had been told of the monster's location, the association told her that since she was the closest to the part of the city than the other ones then she would be able to take care of it. The other heroes in the city such as other A-Class and B-Class alike were busy or not in the area, so there was no other choice but her.

"So much for a peaceful day... "

Kaimetsu murmured to herself as she drank the last of her coffee, putting the ceramic on the table before grabbing on to her equipments and putting them on— the rest of her costume doesn't need be put on at this point since she had less time than it needs to be. So, at this point she was only wearing a dark blue hoodie with a nondescript logo, black cargo pants and dark combat boots since she had only been awake for an hour despite being early in the afternoon— 10: 39 a.m exactly.

The heroine rushed outside the building as she fixed her hair into a tight ponytail before boarding her motorcycle, readied by the employees in the building when they heard the urgent alarms ringing within the city. The woman nodded at the employees before zooming towards the location she had been previously informed of, though she has to thank the workers here later for placing her vehicle where it needs to be rather than her having to run back and get it. Which saved her more time on getting to her destination.

She was still tired even after her coffee, which doesn't really help nowadays as it doesn't really boost her up as it used to when she was younger— Kaimetsu began to think if the new energy drink that's been in the commercials would help her, though the woman doubted it so. As she rode to the area where the monster was supposed to be she pressed a button on one of the motorcycle's compartments, changing unto autopilot mode.

The heroine sat up slowly, though she began to put on her equipments correctly this time— fitting her large mechanical gloves and belts that had bottles of something carrying them, and lastly a long rectangular bag sat loosely behind her, leathers belts strapped around her shoulders and torso making it more securely. The equipments were heavy but she had long been used to the weight after years of carrying them almost everywhere. Her gloves had multiple mechanical features beginning from her wrist and ending just a bit to her elbows, then from the wrist up however were just fabric excluding behind her palm which were covered in metal along with her knuckles. It was like a gauntlet but more modern and had mechanical parts without the fingers covered.

Soon, she arrived on the scene, jumping from her vehicle as it parked itself on the side— she ran where destruction lead her. Adrenaline began to pump slowly into her veins whilst a determined line began to set itself on her lips. Lilath expects to find something challenging to compensate for the pathetic fight she had with another monster just two days ago, after all it was level Tiger and she had been called over when at that time there had been other heroes in the area. Well, in all honesty she wasn't really called by the association but the shouting from the monster kind of gotten her attention.

By that time she thought that the beast was at least Level Demon by it's tremendous height and horrifying appearance, only it to be turned out as weak. The fight only lasted a few minutes. She was disappointed back then and let the lower heroes report for the incident, having to see no point in reporting a level Tiger from herself to the association. So now she was hoping for at least something to wake her up. Or at least a challenge from something else other than the puzzle game she had been recently playing in her phone.

Appearing on the scene, she was surprised to see no rampaging monster that tore up everything it sees, or one that was beating someone to a pulp that she would soon save. Instead she saw nothing but a pile of meat and organs at the side, as well as blood splattered just behind the heap of mincemeat in a large pattern. Sure, there was still some screaming and shouting citizens here and there, probably some are trapped beneath the rubble too if you look deeper enough— but not really what she had been expecting.

She turned her head to directions in hopes of finding the one that had defeated the beast, but found no one else within the vicinity. Between her thoughts she heard footsteps behind her but didn't bother looking behind her to see who the sounds belonged to, she already knew who they are anyway.

"Miss Ultramatica! " one of them called out, sounding out of breath, "I see that you've already taken care of the monster. " the same man said to her in between pants, she turned around with a frown on her lips instead— "I wasn't the one who did it, it was already like this when I've arrived. " the newly named heroine told them, disappointment and disinterest laced in her tongue.

The heroine looked around one more time before turning around to face the newly arrived heroes, likely B-Class or at least C-Class, and told them; "Since there aren't anything else to do here other than cleaning up, you lot take care of what's left. "

She walked away from the destruction as she saw no point of her being there among the rubble, though this may something worth the association's attention and her time she decides on boarding her motorcycle again and head straight for the onyx building. The woman doesn't really have anything else planned for today so might as well go and report this to that big nosed guy.

Ultramatica, ranked second in A-Class just below the handsome male hero Amai Mask— and head of the hero group Black dogs of City A, B and C. Highly respected hero and part-time engineer of her age as well as a member of the Hero Ranking Committee. The heroine had long black hair that went down past her waist, red eyes that would pierce as sharp as blades and a personality a bit confusing to others. Her skin was fairly pale although only a bit tanned due to her work, and under her usual unemotional lips hid razor sharp teeth, almost like canines. The woman was busty, fit and muscular, however not as horribly as others— only so much to show that she can take care of herself without any other's presence. She was also quite tall, somewhere in being 5'8 or 9, she doesn't remember.

The inside of the Hero Association Headquarters was fairly nice, the technology being used their being more advanced than those allowed to the public— most of the technology and machines here was developed by the S-Class member Metal Knight, a highly respected member of the Hero association and outside of the world. He is also otherwise knows as Dr. Bofoi, but the scientist and engineer had been adamant on being called his hero name.

By the time the heroine had stepped inside the stronghold, she had quickly gotten inside of the elevator up front and was being lifted up to the desired floor. She had already received strange looks and have heard a murmur or two as she went inside the elevator, albeit ignoring them as she went.

The woman had decided that since it wasn't really noon yet she thought that it was still too early to get a meal, so instead of doing that she had instead concluded to go for a quick trip and deliver the almost useless report to the headquarters to kill some time, maybe even an hour or two if she had found something interesting within the building.

"So, Miss Ultramatica, are you here to report about the monster? " a man with a bulbous nose asked her from across the table, though seeing the other ask for a cup of coffee instead of answering right away. He had been surprised to hear that one of the strongest heroes within A-Class came to 'report' something, since the woman herself doesn't often do so.

"Well, kind of, though it's not really about the monster directly. " the heroine answered as she took a sip from her mug, this caught the growing interest from the older man. "Oh? What is it then? "Sitch asked her, leaning into the table closer. The room they were in was fairly quiet save for the constant beeps and other factitious things scattered along the room.

The man waited for the other to respond when she took another sip, holding up a gloved hand before she put it down— "Something else killed it. " she started almost in a matter of fact tone, though her eyes didn't really focus on him but the holograms presented on the table. "The action was quick too since it had only been a couple of minutes since I arrived at the scene, " Ultramatica paused as she swiped something on the holographic table as well as pressing on other stuff here and there; "the blood was fresh along with the remains, I have already scanned the area around where the thing attacked the most and where it last resided but there wasn't any sign of anybody else strong enough that might have killed it. "

"You didn't see any other heroes that may have caused it, did you? "Sitch asked, before looking over to the new footage that had appeared on the table. It was from the heroine's drones. The elder and the other workers in the room looked at the pictures and video evidence of what the woman was talking about, paying close to each noted detail. It was true, the remains of the monster was nothing but mincemeat and almost dried blood— the attack seemed big and forceful, but enough to break one of the walls of buildings behind the pile almost as it had been very easy. It also looked as if it had taken only one blow.

The A-Class hero Ultramatica rarely reports, but if she did each and every one of them was very informative, including this one showed on the holographs. It shocked the non-heroes in the room, but the heroine only drank her coffee casually across the table, ignoring the stares that the others gave to the evidence she provided. "I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time it happened, yeah? I've seen other papers that plenty of monsters had been eliminated of without the killer in sight. " Ultramatica said, still sipping slowly from her cup. "Some of which involved quick procedures, looking as if it had only been one blow before the monster is down; not only that but to also some buildings and blocks as well, correct?

Sitch nodded and wiped off his sweat from his forehead, "Yes, Miss Ultramatica— there had been many multiple accounts that this phenomenon has happened for the last three years, but we have never found the culprit of these happenings. " the elderly man said in response, but before he could add anything else the heroine in the room stood up, putting the now empty mug on the holographic table where it won't fall.

"Well, now that that's confirmed I better get going. " the woman turned around with her hands in her hoodie's pockets, the equipments strapped to her body slightly bouncing as she rolled her shoulders. Sitch started to protest but the heroine was already outside of the door. With a sigh, he looked at the evidence given again for the second time, focusing his mind on what's been bugging him lately.

Ultramatica walked down the streets of City B, having to decide to eat at a restaurant here that's said to be rated pretty good. While she isn't much for a picky water or someone who prefers expensive food more than anything else, she simply wanted to treat herself some good food for once since she had been living off of ramen noodles with eggs for the past few days. It's not what you'd call healthy but she'd been too tired lately, or at least unmotivated, if that's what you'd call it.

Typically, some people began to murmur amongst themselves as some stared, crowds formed slowly as she did to walk since she wanted to take her time— she was quite famous you see, being second in the A-Class ranking after all. But she just chose to ignore them as she usually does.

The time is now 12 o'clock, after her appointment with the association she went to a store where she spent half an hour thinking which snack should she get as she walks to her next destination. Of course earning the usual stares people gave her, but nevermind that. She did buy a box of pocky or two, both having her favorite coatings when it comes to the snack: strawberry and chocolate. The heroine didn't really eat that morning or yesterday, too drowned in her own thoughts but to drink water every now and then to hydrate herself.

Work had been going slow for her too, she responds only when she knows she has the motivation to fight, but sometimes she drags herself from her desk to her equipments and onwards to the battlefield. Ultramatica knows the consequences of not responding or doing her hero work for too long— nor does your image to the public if they don't see you fighting monsters or saving civilians quite enough. Though it's not exactly like that, you just have to show up every now and then to show that you still care; since she is one of the strongest after all and a fairly good heroine, too.

When the heroine had reached the previously mentioned restaurant, almost half of the strawberry coated pocky was finished and she thinks if she has to buy another batch if she enjoyed the snack this much. Shrugging, the woman went inside the place regardless if she looked unprofessional within the fancy looking eatery and their other costumers at the moment. Soon a hostess showed up, seeming to be a bit flustered the woman almost asked her if she was alright, but she decided against it.

"M-Miss Ultramatica! Well, it's a pleasure too s-see you here! " the other woman greeted with some stuttering, though the heroine waved her off "I don't need such formalities, you can call me *Ultra* for short. "Ultra said in response whilst the hostess only nodded vigorously, blush still present on her cheeks. "A-alright then, Miss Ultra what table w-would you like? " the brunette hostess asked, now less flustered and more calmed down.

"I would like a booth, please, I need space for my equipments. "Ultra answered and the other nodded, making a way and leading her to the desired space. It was good enough. "I will come back to take your orders later, M-miss Ultra. " and with that the brunette left once the heroine had waved her off once again. The restaurant was a bit nicer than what she had expected, after all it was a bit new and it is said that this is their second branch. The other one is in City M, very far away from the first for some reason.

She only shook her head mentally at that and began to unstrap the belts around her torso and shoulders, putting the sensitive equipment just beside her against the wall, she just put her helmet and other stuff at the second seat in front of her. Ultra looked at the menu then after easing up her back muscles, she was interested in what the noodles here would taste so the heroine just concluded that to be her meal this afternoon considering the others didn't seem to be so eye catching to her.

Minutes later a different waitress had come to her table and she gave her the choice she picked out, this waitress was calmer than the last, but still a bit flustered. Ultra doesn't know why that most women who come close to her would get flustered and stutter talking to her most of the time, whilst some would still keep their composure as they ask for an autograph or a picture with them whenever she's out in public.

Discarding the thought she began to put on her wireless headphones and scroll through her phone for the desired song, though she spent five minutes doing so before finding it— putting it on repeat like she does on any other song that catches her ear. As she waited for her food she scrolled down to news websites to see what had happened in the other cities for the past few hours; there was an article mentioning her and her early arrival and leave as well as the monster back in City A, but not much else from that side of the country. Though there was another mention of the remains of a lower level monster that was found in the streets of City J without the one who terminated in sight again. The remains' pattern for it's death was also similar to that of the one she had reported back to the Hero Association.

Humming silently in thought she was interrupted when a bowl and other stuff was put down on her table, looking up at the same waitress she gave her a simple 'thanks' and with that she was alone on her thoughts again. Her meal was a bowl of hand made and fresh noodles with high quality seasonings, perfectly boiled eggs and medium rare steak sat nicely among the noodles and broth. Her chopsticks were also placed neatly on top of the ceramic and a handful of napkins by the side of the tray. The meal looked delicious.

Compared to the store bought noodles that was previously said she lived off of for the past few days this one was actually high quality and healthy, having some actual nutrients mixed with protein and such. Nonetheless, this place was better than she originally thought, maybe she would even visit this place more for it's delectable meals— if she has appetite for more than just noodles, that is.
